They come with a compact travel case - I have a set that also goes in my nappy bag. Easy to use and clean. I thought maybe the barrier might confuse bub but they accepted the breast just like normal.

A midwife at the hospital gave me one of these to use & it saved us! Still now breastfeeding 7 & 1/2 months later & not needing the shields but always have them handy just in case

I'm still using now as he likes to fall asleep while feeding (now 3 months) so when he falls back a little heavy can still suck and get milk

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped me power through the painful start [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the early weeks of breastfeeding, baby was latching poorly, so poorly that my nipples started bleeding profusely. Everyone told me to either put up with the pain, or give up breastfeeding. I spent weeks crying, feeling like i had failed this new, little human. So then someone recommended i try a nipple shield. And after buying the wrong size the first time, i finally got the perfect fit and it helped so incredibly much! It gave me a bit of time to heal while baby could work out how to latch correctly. These shields helped us so much and it helped give me the confidence that i was right to not give up on day 3 or week 3. It's now week 11 and we're going strong! So if you're having latching issues, this is definitely the product that would help!

I was ready to give up a month into feeding but the nipple shield allowed me to continue and really enjoy my breastfeeding adventure. I also used it with my second for a few weeks as well. Great product :).

Bub struggled to latch and when the hospital suggested shields, he latched amazingly. He always drank better with the shields so I had to wean him off them after a few months to prevent him never taking to my nipples. But when he's extra fussy, they seem to help his latch again. It prevents pain when he chomps which he's started to do as teething is happening. In an ideal world, I'd prefer not to use them so there's no preference to it over my nipples. However, if it means he can feed off me and not formula then it's a life saver in a breast feeding journey. The container can fit 2-3 stacked shields which is handy when I'm out all day. But then you need another place to put them once they've been used.

They took a bit to get used to but they honestly saved us there at one point. We went on to try other brands but always came back and even bought spares!! Being a new mum has its challenges, but these helped resolve a few.

My lactation consultant suggested I try nipple shields. After trying three other brands, the Medela brand were the only ones that my baby would latch onto. This product was so helpful and without it we probably would have had to stop breastfeeding

First time it was to help with latch and the second time it was to allow my nipples to heal from blisters. They are easy to use and I love that they come with their own storage case. They're a little more expensive than some brands but much more available as you can buy them at the chemist, supermarket or even target.

Easy to clean and tray keeps is hygenic and easy to find in bag. Made from BPA-free materials. Shield is made with a soft, natural-feeling material but at times can move around alot.

I was struggling to get my baby to latch on and these shields made all the difference. They are amazing, it was an instant fix! They can be a bit messy if bub comes off and the end of the shield is full of milk but it’s usually only a couple of mls of milk and if it meant bub could breastfeed, it was absolutely worth it to me. I love that it comes with a storage case, making it great to store them away between feeds and very portable when going out. I used the shields constantly for a couple of months and have just transitioned to feeding without them now that bub can latch better. I go back to using them if I ever have cracked nipples.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had very painful cracked nipples when first breastfeeding and purchased these nipple shields, unsure whether they would make much of a difference. Within a day, I was able to breastfeed without them again. They provided the best barrier, allowing my nipples to heal. The only thing is that the flow is slowed down so it took longer to feed, but I was happy with this compromise.

Baby had heaps of trouble latching for breastfeeding and after using this nipple shield we breastfed wonderfully. They come in two sizes, make sure you are using the correct size. So easy to use and can be sterilised if need be. They come in a storage box for easy storing.

My baby had tongue tie and couldn’t quite latch properly so these nipple shields helped us to begin feeding - until the tongue tie was addressed. They were easy to clean (microwave to sterilise) and quick to stick on. It was a little tricky at first but once I got used to putting them on while juggling baby it was fine. I am now pregnant with my second baby and plan to pack them in the hospital bag in case I need them again.

It worked very well for me. It made feeding very easy. It is easy to clean and comes with a handy storage container too. My baby liked it too. Also made it easier for him to start taking bottles being similar texture. It is also very effective if you have sore nipples.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela Nipple Shields were offered to me by my midwife whilst still in hospital and trying to navigate breastfeeding. They were a life saver! I used them with my newborn bub for a lengthy time as we were getting established with breastfeeding. Once my bub started getting teeth (started getting them at 4 months) I pulled them out again and used them on occasion (particularly when she was learning to not bite). They are really simple to use and can be added to all the other items being sterilised.

I tried another brand and she was getting too much air but with these, we’ve had no more trouble and have been perfect ever since. I don’t think I’ll need to buy anymore other than this because everytime I wash It, it looks brand new again. Great quality.

My bub was born at 37 weeks and we found it a struggle to breast feed in the beginning my midwife offered a nipple shield it worked but was too big. After researching, I decided to try the medela ones out I brought both sizes. I did try the smaller ones which were a good fit. However, due to bub learning o latch and my nipples getting used to it it was painful. So I used the bigger size, which got me through a few weeks. I'll add they are super easy to clean and are durable as they are still in the same condition as I brought them.

I bought these nipple shields and within a few days, my nipples had recovered amazingly. I was able feed again.. pain free! Every now and then when my nipples start to get a bit sore, I use these and I’m better in no time. My son had no problem feeding from them and adapted very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for transitioning [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My twins were in NICU for 3 weeks after birth and when they were released we had difficulty transitioning them from the silicone nipple to proper latching for breastfeeding. When I first tried to switch them back to breastfeeding they weren't really on board but these definitely helped. Pro tip: Squeeze a little milk into the nipple before securing bub so they know what they're getting.

It took 4 weeks and a number of different LCs/ midwives before one introduced us to these. Bub latched straight away, no pain, and we never looked back. So thankful! So these came with us to the hospital for bub 2 and again these became a lifesaver in those early weeks. A must for every hospital bag!
