I hated using a nipple shield to be honest because it's 1 more thing you have to think about when feeding but they were a necessity for me in the first few months while I had nipple damage. These gave me the time to heal and protected me from further damage from my daughter's strong suck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few days of sore nipples being a first time mum and feeding, my midwife recommended these nipple shields. Bub and no problem latching and gave my nipples the relief to heal without having to stop feeding completely. My little one like to chomp down with his gums so they really helped in the beginning stages of breast feeding for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for latching issues [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When our son was born he had no issues with his latch, however it felt like he had a mouth full of teeth every time he fed. Feeding was so painful that after three days I was ready to throw in the towel. My midwife suggested using these and it changed everything. I was no longer in tears when feeding. I used them for a few weeks and then stopped. I know the midwife did say these shields made the baby work a bit harder to feed which made me feel like every feed lasted forty minutes or so. After a few weeks the pain wasn't nearly as bad and we transitioned away from these to nothing and feeding became a lot quicker. I'm not 100% sure but I also found baby never had trouble transitioning between bottle and breast and I often wonder if these shields had much to do with it. Definitely a great purchase for anyone who has latch or even pain issues like I did!

He had a lot of trouble latching on and after a lactation consultant told me about them I went out and got them. They were very helpful with my problem and did improve breastfeeding. Its a must have if you are having trouble breastfeeding and want to keep trying.

The maternal and health midwife actually recommended that I get the nipple Shields I had major issues with my nipples they were cracked really hurt and she told me I'd be better off to weather shields to let them heal a little bit to give them a little bit kindness. I'm really glad I listened because they really did help if I was going through this all over again or when the time comes I'll make sure that I actually have nipple shields in my bag Because I never want to go through the same pain that I went through the first time round.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are fantastic, my baby had trouble latching correctly early on, and I was in a lot of pain, but I was determined to breastfeed. They did come off time to time, so I ended up holding them there, and its fairly messy when they come off the breast, but it is well worth it. My baby took to it quite well, even to the point of feeding through it on one side and without it on the other.

They are nice and thin and super easy to use and keep clean. When I got home I purchased a set from the chemist and love that they come in a handy case which made storage easy and also made finding them in the middle night easy.

These were very easy to use and once stuck on with a bit of breastmilk they did not fall off. The case was good too, very easy to throw into the nappy bag. They were also easy to clean in hot soapy water. I would only buy one set though because of the price.

I would have lost my supply if I hadn't been recommended these by a lactation consultant. I highly recommend these. My nipples are quite large too and these were still a good fit. I definitely recommend these to women who have sore fracked nipples which need a rest while still being able to feed.

These breast shields took the pain out of feeding and allowed my nipples to heal. They come with written/picture instructions for application and a little case for secure hygienic storage. A lactation lady at the hospital showed me how to use these and said you only needed to wash them in hot soapy water. I bought a few cases and had them in my nappy bag and near my feeding chair. If it wasn't for these I doubt my breastfeeding journey would have continued. I'd recommend these to mums who are struggling to feed or who's baby's are not latching properly as they provide a good nipple shape. They come in a nice little plastic case too for easy storage

I was so sore and cracked after those day 2 cluster feeds with very little production. I thought I would have to turn to formula because I was in that much pain. I tried these as a last resort and thank goodness I did. They are so comfy to wear, bubs attached perfectly and they are thin and easy to clean. The case they came in makes them easy to find and keep together. A wonderful product

I was able to breast feed for a year after thinking in those early days that I'd have to give up because it was so painful. I was able to wean off these after a few weeks once things had calmed down. Would purchase again for next baby.

After the first 3 days of breastfeeding my baby my nipples were cracked, bleeding, sore as hell eeurgh, then someone got me these beautys! Not only did it help protect my nipples from any further damage from my daughter's suckling, but it gave them time to heal and helped urge my bubba's mouth to open more while feeding, which once my nips had healed enough to try feeding again au natural (about 3/4 days), feeding my bubba was soooo much easier and far far more productive. Thank goodness for them, they are a brilliant buy, if you are having a baby soon, or you are already feeding a baby and having problems with sore nipples, well this is a definite must! I now buy a set of these for every baby shower I attend!

I had been using another brand which was thicker but found these to be easier to wean baby from due to them being a thinner shield. They still protected my nipples until baby and I learnt how to latch correctly. I was comfortable using these and would do so again. Easy to clean and sterilise- do with bottles or pumping items.

So when I started having trouble with the second, I knew I had to get onto of the problem before it got really bad. Someone suggested I try nipple shields and although I was sceptical, I bought these. They changed my whole breastfeeding experience. I was able to get through the painful stage (when baby is young and doesn't latch properly) while protecting my nipples. Baby didn't have any trouble drinking when I was using them and is now a very healthy 9 month old and I no longer dread breastfeeding.

She grew so accustomed to the plastic feeling in her mouth that she could not attach naturally. The lactation consultant recommended that we use a medela nipple shield to help with the process of getting her to latch. This worked well!

They helped them latch well and also relieved discomfort of feeding. It was relatively easy to wean them off once I was comfortable to do so as well. Would definitely recommend.

My bubs had latch-on difficulties too but this didn’t really help me personally, instead practice and persistence did. For sore nipples, I found it easier to apply nipple creams too. The silicone will also yellow over time. For sizing, I used the helpful medela guide.

I used these for bubs first breastfeed as he couldn’t latch straight on but with the help of the shield he was able to. While I exclusively pump every now and then he will have a breast feed and we still use these. They are thin enough that bub is still able to stimulate the letdown and I find it also stops my letdown from being to much for him. Storage container they come with is great too

They were recommended from a midwife while I was still in hospital then I kept using them when I left hospital. These are the only ones I have tried so can’t compare but I thought they worked well. Easy to clean, mostly easy to put on. Sometimes they would fall off.
