Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised with high quality product I have never heard the name "Softmed" prior to trying their masks. I initially purchased them as they unlike all other products were Australian made and the price tag also surprised me as it was cheaper at that time than any other made in China masks. Unlike people in many earlier reviews, I very clearly identify all three layers compressed together in the mask. Another advantage of the mask is the fact that the fabric is quite rigid making it harder for it to be sucked into your mouth when you suddenly take a deep breath in like you do before you sneeze, and that avoids you having that horrible "choking" sensation that you get with less rigid masks. Despite its overall rigidity the inner surface of the mask is very soft and gentle on the most sensitive skin of the face. I am very happy that it is our Aussie product that is giving the best quality for an extremely competitive price.
