Rated 5 out of 5 by Keryn W. from I was quite hesitant to try this because I have had bad experiences in the past with other lip paints and lip stains.\n\nThe product was very easier to apply, especially for women that find it difficult to get a neat lipstick line. It took me a while to get used to the feel of the applicator wand as first it was very ticklish. \n\nThe colour requires a bit of buildup of coats on the lip to really match the shade of the lipstick. Don’t expect the red to be bright like that on the first coat, but its also good if you like to change the colour gradient, for me the first coat of 204-Red Actually came out a lovely berry hue before I built it up to red. You could certainly have a different shade on the top lip than the bottom if you like.\n\nIt was long lasting it certainly does not bleed from your lips if you have food. I noticed its more likely to come off with drinks but thats fine I didn't use a straw. It does dry a little but I have had much worse dried out lips from expensive cream lipsticks that have vitamin E in them. Didn’t flake off or become clumpy at all.\n\nLove the design of the lipstick, don’t need to worry that it will leak in my bag, great for fitting into small clutches so I think thats great value for money.\n\nI loved both of the red shades I received. I wasn’t a fan of the purple so much. Would definitely look at the other colours in the range.

The smell is delicious (think berries), the applicator is a cupped doe foot, and the formula (very velvety) is perfect for me. My favourite colour was actually Wuthering Purple, it's like nothing I own! Definitely recommend this, though my only comment is that the drying time to fully matte is around 5-10 minutes; personally for me, this doesn't bother me, but if that's a concern for you, keep it in mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jacqui V. from I have tried three shades of the L’OréalParis Infallible Lip Paints. My favorite so far is ‘Red Actually’. This is a true red shade. It is bright and very summery. ‘Apocalypse red’ is a darker,richer red. ‘Wuthering Purple’ is more of a novelty shade for me. It is a very true, pigmented purple. They are all very buildable without feeling thick on the lips. They are matte but not drying. I think the finish is more of a cross between a matte and satin lipstick. I found that they were all long wearing and lasted like a lip stain. I would recommend. \n

The paint gave opaque coverage that was transferproof after it was dried and true to the claims it was moisturising and not drying like other matte lipsticks and liquid lipsticks that can leave your lips cracking and dehydrated. The colours are bold and highly pigmented with an even colour distribution and no patchiness. The RRP is a little steep for a pharmacy store product but trust me this product is the quality of any luxury brand!

Biggest surprise for me as the purple shade, I actually found it very wearable! Overall loved the product, and would recommend to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Simone from This is my new handbag essential. The colours are really fun and they can switch up a look from day to night. I found the consistency to be matte, but not too matte. They don't crack or go hugely dry as some other lipsticks do. A couple of layers are required through the day, but that was to keep the colour fresh and full. I did notice the scent was quite sweet, which made me a bit nervous as sometimes cosmetic scents give me a headache, but this wasn't a sickly scent which was a relief!

The applicator makes the product so easy to use, it glides on smoothly and has a lovely pigment that does not dry lips out. The colour lasted really well, even after a coffee. The little tube is quite handy and does not create mess, perfect for a handbag and the colour range is divine and I thought the matte quality was flattering, I would recommend this product

I love the packaging of the product - great size to pop into your handbag during the day, or your clutch at night. The applicator is easy to use and dispenses the right amount of product. The lip paints do have quite a strong smell, but I found it to be very pleasant so I didn't mind at all!\nIn terms of the product itself, it went on quite smooth, although I did find it to be rather thin compared to several other lip paints I've used in the past, so I did have to apply a couple of layers to get the pigmentation that I wanted. That being said, the application was easy and unlike some matte products this one stayed moist and never felt dry or patchy. \n \n

It's really easy to apply, and the best part is you don't feel your lips super dry but you still get the matte finishing. I had to apply the lipstick sometimes during the day because it comes off easy but that was not a problem for me. Overall I like it, the colours are beautiful and I would buy the product in the future.

Doesn't need to worry about licking. \nShade 307 Withering purple gives a nice berry tint after one application. The 2nd layer gives a bright purple finish.\nOverall the product is very comfortable to wear all day and the shades are flattering. Will definitely continue using!.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Emma H. from Overall, I was really impressed with the Infallible Lip Paints! I'm not usually a wearer of matte lip products, I prefer something a little lighter. But this product wore really nicely on the lips and didn't feel heavy or uncomfortable. When first applied, these do have more of a satin finish but you just need to blot gently with a tissue to achieve a matte effect. These are quite long-wearing - I found that when they wore down, they left a really nice and even stain on the lips (which I love!). Of the colours that I tried, my top picks were Red Actually (a beautiful vibrant red) and Apocalypse Red (a darker vampier red). I only need one coat to get these opaque on the lips. \n\nThe applicator for these is great, so it made the product easy to apply - especially for someone who isn't super confident applying lip products directly from the tube (usually prefer fingers or a brush).\nThe only thing I didn't love was the scent. The smell is quite sickly sweet when first opened but didn't last long once applied. Would definitely recommend these to those looking for a long-lasting bold lip colour!\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stacia P. from I was pleasantly surprised by this product! Firstly, all three shades are gorgeous! The packaging is great and compact. The wand makes it easy to apply on the lips. All three were very pigmented and had a decent lasting time on the lips. I think if you are new to liquid lipsticks and don't want to spend the money on a high end brand this is the perfect option. Do I think these are as great as their higher end competitors? No. But I still think its a great product and I will definitely be looking in store for other colours to add to my collection!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Georgina B. from L’Oréal Paris Infallible Lip Paints are described as 'long-lasting, highly pigmented and does not bleed, smudge or dry out'. I tested three of these Lip Paints in the colours '204-Red Actually', '207-Wuthering Purple' and '205-Apocalypse Red'. 204 is a great bright red which should suit a wide range of skin tones as it does not have any orange undertones. 205 is a deep berry red, more of a purplish red. Finally I tried 207, which is a bright, vibrant purple shade.\n\nI tested these lip paints several times and found all of the shades to be vibrant and pigmented. They did require two coats to get a full coat as the first was more of a stain and you don't get the full colour. I was happy that none of the shades were patchy at all even the berry shade, which can be a hard colour to get right. \n\nThe formula of the lip paints is lovely, smooth and creamy. The only issue I had was the scent. There is a strong almost cherry scent, however I found that it did pass after a while. Now in regards to the claims it made in being long-lasting, for a matte lipstick it did not last as long as others. This may be primarily due to the fact that it is not a full matte lipstick and is instead more of a velvet finish. It never fully dried as you would expect with other liquid lipsticks, however this had the benefit of being extremely hydrating and non-drying on the lips. The lip paints felt very light and comfortable and even though they may not last as long as expected, I did like them due to the wear. When used without a lip liner there was bleeding around the edges, but this was not the case if worn with one. So I would definitely recommend wearing with a good lip liner. When worn during eating and drinking, it did not last. There was still some stain left on the lips but it definitely needed reapplying. \n\nOverall, I do reccommend these lip paints. I found the colours to be pigmented, the formula to be comfortable and non-drying. The only warning I would give is to not expect these to be fully matte and long-lasting as other matte lip paints may be. If you are happy to reapply as you would a normal lipstick, then these are definitely worth a look.\n\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Erin S. from I received in this product as part of the Reviewcrew and was lucky enough to receive it in 3 colours: Apocalypse Red - a raspberry, cherry sort of red, Red Actually- A vibrant, bright red and Wuthering Purple- a bright almost neon purple. My favourite out of these three was Apocalypse Red, I’ve got a real thing for cherry reds, they’re my favourite type of red, anything with more of an orange tone to it like Red Actually doesn’t really suit me. The purple I was pretty unsure about to begin with, I’m not really the kind of person to wear super bright out there lip colours. It actually wasn’t as purple as I expected it to be, I felt it had a slight pink tinge to it on my lips but I ended up giving it to a friend who has the confidence to wear these colours frequently. The consistency of each of the products was nice enough. It seemed to have separated a little and became kind of oily when it had been in the post but I gave it a decent shake and it became smooth. The matte texture was good without being super drying, the main issue was I felt like it didn’t dry completely and I’d probably be a bit concerned with smudging it. Proper pigmentation needed at least two coats. I didn’t really understand the point of having the product in a squeeze tube, it seemed a bit impractical. On one hand I may have done it up a bit too tight and it felt kind of flimsy as I tried to get it open but on the other hand I guess it would be helpful to get the last of the product out of the tube. That being said I rarely ever get to the end of a product, I may have about 7 favourite lipsticks that are practically the same colour, oops. The brush was a nice decent size, it was easy to apply with a simply swipe and it looks as though it’s good quality made to last. My one tip for this product would be to give the product a good shake before you use it, this will optimise the colour payout and let it go on a lot smoother. I would recommend this product to friends, it comes in a great variety of different colours, whether you be the person to wear super bright colours or if you’re a fan of nudes, there’s a colour out there for you. Plus, if you can pick these up in a half price sale you’ll be getting a great bargain!\n

Was not as matte as I expected however that meant my lips didn't dry out. Apocalypse red is the perfect 'evening out red and red actually is a great, bright, everyday red.

The application was super quick & easy, (would definitely recommend using a lip liner with this product as it does make the application a 100% easier) I found the product was strongly pigmented, i loved the feel on my lips, as it did not dry them out completely (which I don't like about most matte lipsticks) but remained a more satin finish. Would recommend product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Katherine S. from I received three colours to trial; Red Actually, Apocalypse Red, and Wuthering Purple. All three are from the 'mattes' range. \nThe packaging is a bit unusual, as from initial impressions it looks to be a basic squeeze-y tube. However, on unscrewing the lid, a ‘typical’ doe foot applicator comes out. The applicator itself ‘scoops’ out and dispenses a good amount of product to the lips, and makes it reasonably easy to get a nice, precise line. I did not feel the need to apply with a separate lip brush, which I would normally use for such bold, vivid colours. It has a thick, almost gel-like consistency. The scent is faint, vaguely sweet and fruity, but it does not linger, so should not bother those sensitive to frangrances. \nOnce applied to the lips, because the product is so dimethicone heavy, it is very, very smoothing. This would probably be a good option for those with mature skin, or problem lips, as it smooths any lines and dry patches into total invisibility, and does not bleed, even without a lip liner. \nWhen I first applied this I had quite dry lips, but neither myself or anyone else would have known that from sight or feel. It is a creamy lipstick, so whilst it looks quite matte/demi-matte, it does transfer, and stays quite creamy. It does dry down a little after initial application, but definitely does not set. It feels quite weightless on the lips and makes it easy to forget you have anything on at all. It is not terribly long lasting, so I did feel the need to touch up/put another coat on every 2-3 hours, and nearly re-apply after eating. It does layer very well, unlike most liquid lipsticks. It is certainly not infallible, but it does fade evenly, and leaves a stain when totally worn off making it quite wearable from just one application.\nAs for the colours, I liked all three, but I especially loved Wuthering Purple. Red Actually (the lightest red) is an orange/red, with a touch of coral mixed in. It is an interesting colour that is opaque with about one and a half scoops of product. Apocalypse Red is the most pigmented of all three colours, and only requires one swipe for full opacity. It is a beautiful deep burnt red/burgundy colour. Wuthering Purple, is a true, vivid purple, and is the most streaky formula of the three. I found that it required four scoops of product for a full, even opacity.\nOverall, I really liked these ‘lip paints’, and intend to purchase more colours. They do not live up top their ‘infallible’ name, and I would have liked them to be more long lasting, but I do not mind reapplying if it means I have a high impact, comfortable colour that is creamy, but does not stray across my face throughout the day. The only negative I have to say was that it seemed to dry my lips out a bit, but that could be rectified by wearing a lip balm underneath. \n\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Camille Owen from The packaging of these is a little deceiving - it appears like it would be a built in sponge tip applicator but really it is seperate which really allows control over application. The formula is easy to spread and very pigmented. While I wouldn't call it completely Matte as packaged, it is a lovely Demi Matte formula that doesn't dry out the lips too much and feels comfortable on the lips. I did find the darker shades to be slightly patchy. And the product only lasted around 3-4 hours but it did seem to stain the lips. All in all a great lip product. A perfect option for someone wants a pigmented, long lasting lipstick without it drying out your lips.

Dab with a tissue to remove excess and it will dry quickly and give you the matte finish you expect. Overall great product and I will definitely be buying in the future.

For me, it did not set completely to a matte finish (more satin/semi-matte) and is not transfer-proof. However, it's not drying and really pigmented. It's fast becoming a handbag staple! I would really recommend it even to anyone who have dry lips. I wore it as a gradient lips and also as a full lips and both looks gorgeous. They are easy to spread on the lips and the colors are so vibrant.

One coat was already pigmented enough but you can definitely build it up too. The formula was moisturising and did not leave my lips dry at all, but that means it didn't dry matte like it claims too. Overall, still love how it looked on and would definitely repurchase!

The matte finish wasn't quite as matte as expected, the colours went on perfectly without mess and stayed on for quite a while. They felt a little similar to lip stains with how the colour lasted.

I'm addicted to the Apocalypse Red colour, and got so many compliments while I wore it. They're more of a cream than than a gloss, which meant it wasn't drying like other lip stains can be. And it was great for layering with other colours to get a unique colour to perfectly match my outfit.\n

They are NOT matte and do not dry down, however they are extremely long wearing due to their stain-like nature. Even 4-5hrs after the actual lippy rubbed off, a lovely stain was still in place. It was also not at all drying to the lips unlike most mattes.\nI trialled the colours Apocalypse Red, Wuthering Purple and Red Actually. I found that all three colours suited my pale, cool-toned skin quite well. The purple and Apocalypse Red in particular seem to suit a lot of skin tones and on cool-toned skin, appear as warmer variations of the shades.\nMy only complaint with this product was that it was slightly difficult to apply, however on the flip side, it melted into my lips within a few minutes and looked much better.\nI will definitely be using my 3 lippies a lot, not as mattes but as beautiful lip stains. I do recommend this product\n

These paints were in great packaging- very friendly and the wand applicator was tipped an a chair like design that let it distribute the product beautifully. I did have some issue with pigment and evenness on all colours- had to rub the tube between my fingers to warm it and avoid patching but I suspect that was more because of the weather being cold than the actual product. It lasted for about 4 hours on the lips and left a gorgeous stain. The smell is absolutely divine, think fruity lollies but it doesn't linger once the product is applied. The product dries down to a semi matte finish, definitely not a solid matte but not a slippery gloss either. \nOverall, Id look at buying more of the shades in pinks and nudes as I would probably find them more wareable day to day but given we're in Australia, I'd wait for a sale to stock up haha \n

They were all gorgeous colours, but Red Actually was definitely the best match for my skin tone. The formula is really nice and smooth, and feels good on the lips, not at all drying. I wouldn't say that these are matte liquid lipsticks though, they're more satiny and definitely don't have the staying power of a true matte liquid lipstick. That said, they are so comfortable to wear, and are an easy go-to for a pop of colour. The doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply and go.

My only complaint is that it is more glossy rather than matte and the reds faded to pink after blotting. I will definitely use this products again for its easy application and long-lasting, non-cracking colour.

They are all bright and very easy to apply. They don't feel thick or annoying on the lips and last as long as a normal lipstick would. I would recommend and would buy if on sale.

My favorite was the 204Red Actually. My lips felt a little sticky on first application, but thatdisappeared after a few minutes. It needs to be touched up a few hours later orafter eating though. This product is for anyone who wants a quick and easyliquid lipstick application, that has a bright range of colours available oranyone on the go who can simply swipe this on before they leave the door. \n
