Stratamed is an advanced wound dressing with proven benefits. Unlike other wound dressings, the self-drying formulation of Stratamed forms a protective, flexible film over a wound. Stratamed helps create an optimal healing environment that leads to faster wound healing resulting in reduced downtime and risk of abnormal scar formation. Stratamed protects the compromised skin from microbial and chemical invasion, is an alternative to topical antibiotics and protects wounds from infections. Stratamed is flexible and adapts to all kinds of wound surfaces. This results in a more comfortable dressing that stays in contact with the skin and can simply be re-applied rather than needing to be removed like a traditional dressing. Stratamed was developed for the use on all types of superficial wounds, burns, skin tears and abrasions including those resulting from surgery, trauma, burns, bites, grazes, tattoo removal, chemical peels, dermal abrasion, cryotherapy, acne and other diseases of the skin. For faster wound healing and early abnormal scar prevention
