Directions

Wet your skin with warm water.
Take a pea-sized amount of the cleansing oil onto your hand.
Gently massage the product onto your wet skin - emulsifying the oil cleanser into a foam consistency and avoiding the area around the eyes.
Rinse well with water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, thoroughly rinse with water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My skin type is dry/sensitive and I find it often quite difficult to find something that is good for my skin type that isn't too drying. This was great to use as it lathered up nicely and was very hydrating. I found the pump bottle was very easy to use and the price point is very reasonable. Overall, I would definitely buy this and I was super pleased I've been able to discover this product. Big thanks to CeraVe and BeautyCrew for including me in this trial. Scent - wasn't over powering as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anastassia T. from CeraVe Hydrating Cream to Foam cleanser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved the CeraVe Hydrating Cream To Foam Cleanser to try as part of the reviewcrew, I have enjoyed using it day and night since recieving. The consistency of the cleanser is quite creamy, white in colour with a soapy sort of fragrance which is light and pleasant, not at all irritating. For referrence my skin is normal tending towards dry during winter/summer and I found this to work perfectly for my skin type, it cleansed the skin well without leaving it feeling stripped, irritated, taut or dry. Did not irritate the eye area at all and a little goes avery long way, one light pump of the cleanser is enough to cover the entire face. The foam is very, very mild and gentle, not a soapy sort of foam at all just a mild, soft lather. It rinses off cleanly without any sort of residue left behind on the skin. I cannot state how good this cleanser would perform solely as a makeup remover (I always double cleanse anyway if wearing any makeup) as I do not wear any makeup but I do feel like all of the daily grime has been thoroughly removed and my skin is left feeling clean and fresh. After having trialled this for about a month of daily and nightly use I still have over half left in the 236ml bottle, a little goes a very long way with this cleanser. I would consider purchasing this and I do recommend.

It was a pretty decent cleanser, it did as it says and does foam up and quite easily at that! It also does claim to be able to remove makeup, I don’t wear too much makeups I I think I only tested this out once, it did remove the face makeup quite well, but did struggle with mascara. I was also testing out a new mascara so one day I did my fave on one eye and my newbie on the other (to compare), it didn’t remove my new waterproof newbie well though. I didn’t like the smell of the cleanser, I honestly found it a bit too chemically for my liking hence the 4 stars. The cleanser did leave my skin feeling very hydrated though which was great as this is what it is targeted at doing. I personally don’t think I would repurchase this cleanser purely based on the smell factor! But I would recommend it to someone looking for a cheaper hydrating cleanser or makeup remover!

The formula itself is gentle and foams lightly. One pump into palm of my hand, a little bit of water and build up a lather and rub on face lightly in circular motions. It rinses off easily with water and doesn't leave any residue. It leaves skin feeling fresh, not tight or dry like some formulas. A little bit goes a long way and I would recommend this to others. However, it will not be replacing my daily cleanser. I would be happy to use this on and off though. It is affordable and readily accessible.

It is very gentle on the skin. I like to use it at night and in the morning to cleanse my skin before using any other products. The cream to foam texture is so lovely and such a different feeling - you feel like your skin is genuinely really clean. I like to use this product to do a double cleanse.

I generally use this for days that I'm not wearing makeup. When removing waterproof mascara I've had to cleanse twice with the cleanser (aka double-cleanse) and even then I wasn't totally satisfied with the result. I prefer using an oil cleanser before using the Cerave hydrating cream to foam cleanser. There doesn't seem to be a fragrance and I don't find it irritating to the skin or eyes. I haven't yet experienced a breakout due to this product. I have been using the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser consistently over the years and to compare these products I don't prefer one over the other, except for the fact that the Cetaphil product is cheaper. I wouldn't buy the Cerave cleanser when the Cetaphil cleanser is at a better price point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ashley W. from Perfect normal skin cleanser for a great price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky to receive this product as part of a beauty crew trial team and use for a few months to really get a feel for the product. The original hydrating cleanser is one of my holy grails so I was really excited for Cerave to be adding to their hydrating collection. Upon first application, the cleanser has a very cream foam feeling, it suds up quickly and rinses away completely clean. It leaves no film whatsoever on the skin (would be great for stubborn boyfriends who don’t like the feeling of skincare). It also didn’t sting my skin at all which sometimes happens with the other hydrating cleanser. I did find on the nights I wore retinol, the cleanser was a little bit too drying for my skin, and I’d reach for the original more. However for the summer heat to cut through sweat and sunscreen, it was awesome. I also really liked using it as a body wash, as it really cleans well without drying the skin plus I like that it’s fragrance free so it caused no irritation. I’d definitely repurchase next summer and will add to my cleanser rotation when I’m looking for a classic, safe option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great price and size bottle, sanitary dispenser in the pump bottle - easy to lock the pump for when you travel. After testing a couple of ways of using it, my favourite ended up being on my Foreo (silicone face washer) - using it with the foreo made it foam up really well. The cleanser has no scent, and feels soft on the skin when using. After using, my skin did feel a little tight, which is one reason why I have dropped a star as I dislike this feeling, I don't think that it dried my skin out, but it definitely felt tight, which I wouldn't expect a cleanser described as "hydrating" would do. The other reason for dropping a star is that it stung my eyes, again, something that I wouldn't expect from a cleanser that says it removes makeup. After all my testing, the way I liked using this cleanser was as a second step, after using my balm cleanser to remove all my makeup, I would use the CeraVe cleanser on my Foreo as my second cleanse. I would skip some days using it, due to the tight feeling. But would definitely use it on days I had a full face of makeup on to make sure everything was removed. I don't feel like it made a difference to my skin texture or hydration. All in all, its a good cleanser at a great price.

It cleans skin effectively and removes make up well without stripping your skin and leaving it feeling dry or tight. The cleanser is a cream that forms up when applied to your skin with water. It is fragrance free and very gentle on sensitive skin and didn't cause any irritation. My skin felt clean, soft and hydrated after using it everyday. I also have dry & dehydrated skin and I find that a lot of ‘gentle’ cleansers leave my skin tight and stripped. I was surprised that even though it is foaming it didn’t leave my skin overly tight, it left my skin feeling clean and soft. I found it gentle enough to use on the eyes, with only one occasion of sensitivity. I tried using it as my first and second cleanse, but I found that when used for both it left my skin a little too tight for my liking. I found it worked best in my routine as the first cleanse and I didn’t go too intense when foaming the product. It works extremely well in place of my usual balm cleanser and did a great job removing my makeup and mascara. I haven’t seen any benefits or changes to my skin since using it only that it hasn’t broke me out or caused any sensitivity. The formula is quite creamy and feels like a gel cream moisturiser. It doesn’t have any fragrance, which I prefer for all my products. A little goes a long way, one pump is more than enough. I’ve been using it for a month and have only made a little dent in the bottle. The pump is great, I really appreciate the lock on the lid which makes it great for travelling. The bottle itself is quiet neat, which makes it easy to store. I definitely recommend this cleanser, I think it would be great for all skin types. I feel it would be a good product for anyone wanting a cleanser in their routine that wants to start off gently without spending a lot of money. I think this product comes very close to my all time favourite soy face cleanser by fresh.

I personally have quite dry skin so I tend to find cream cleansers are better for my skin but not always effective at removing everything so I also like to use foam cleansers but they dry my skin out. This cleanser is the best of both worlds. The pump style packaging is easy to use especially in the shower with a couple of pumps being enough for my face. The product has a light fragrance to it but nothing super noticeable. It does a decent job of cleaning my face with light make up on but if I have heavier makeup on I need to do a double cleanse. My skin doesn't feel dry after using this cleanser which is all I want in a great effective cleanser. Overall a great cleanser for sensitive dry skin that comes in a quite large size for great value cleansing.

I really enjoyed the 'softness' of it against my skin, and my skin definitely felt very clean after using it. It removed most of my makeup with ease, I just had to rub a little bit when removing my eye makeup. There is little to no scent, which I was a little disappointed about but not really a complaint. Overall, this product acheived its goal and was a soothing cleanser that removed my makeup and left my skin feeling smooth and fresh afterwards. Would reccomend this cleanser and would probably purcahse for myself.

I typically have drier skin so I jumped at the opportunity to try this. The product when dispensed has a really creamy consistency, similar to a moisturiser, but when mixed with water, lathers really well across the face. The fragrance smells similar to sunscreen, though this goes away immediately after washing your face. As per the instructions, I definitely recommend avoiding the eye area as it stings if it goes in (so wouldn’t recommend this for people who like to use cleanser to remove any excess eye makeup). After washing my skin did not feel tight at all- but still clean! It left my skin also feeling REALLY soft and supple. I also did not break out from this product. Would recommend for everyone – no matter what skin type if you want a gentle product that doesn’t strip away moisture!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wensi C. from Super gentle and hydrating cleanser! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cerave Hydrating Cream-to-Foam cleanser definitely lives up to its name! It’s a watery cream that lathers into a foam and leaves my skin feeling really soft and hydrated. In terms of makeup removal, it doesn’t remove heavy duty mascara or gel liner but it does the job on complexion makeup e.g. foundation and blush, which is pretty much on par with most non-oil cleansers. It doesn’t foam quite as much as a traditional foam cleanser (especially if you have a lot of makeup or sunscreen on) but it does create a nice, fairly thick lather. In addition, it is completely fragrance-free, which is perfect for sensitive skin. I’ve got dry skin and always use a separate eye makeup remover, so it’s great for me and I’d recommend to anyone looking for a basic hydrating cleanser. Plus it’s a bargain!

It has no fragrance but there is a pretty strong milky smell to it which I am not a fan of. The product cleansed my face very well without being harsh at all, didn't feel dry afterwards so definitely compatible for mildly sensitive skin. It was easy to incorporate into my skincare routine as the bottle pump made is very easy to be kept in a shower caddy. Overall I would recommend this product for people looking for a very gentle cleanser.

I was especially impressed that it removed all traces of my makeup, eliminating the need to use a make up remover prior to cleansing. My skin definitely felt very clean after using it, my only complaint is that it leaves my skin feeling so clean that it can feel a little dry. I like that there is barely and scent and how smooth it feels on your face. The pump design is handy and makes it perfect to keep in the shower. I also feel a little goes a long way and the bottle will last a long time.

The cleanser is in-between and cream/ milky consistency which is great for night-time double cleansing! I noticed a slight "scent" - reminded me of cetaphil gentle cleanser. It is very self explanatory and easy to use, and a little goes a long way. This cleanser left my skin feeling fresh and clean! And the most surprising fact, it didn’t dry my skin like some of the other cleansers tend to do on the market today! The reason why I didn’t give this product 5 stars is because I feel like it didn’t do a good job at removing my makeup. But that’s not a big issue for me. I would purchase this product in the future and I will be recommending it to all of my family and friends!

It makes me face feel smooth and soft and it takes away all of the makeup I am wearing. I love how it is a cream to foam cleanser. It's really hydrating, gentle and I love that it has the addition of ceramides. I use this day and night, and it also works well at removing makeup - but I do prefer to double cleanse with a cleansing oil or cleansing balm. This is so affordable as well and I can definitely see the hype to the product, and the overall brand. I definitely recommend it if you're in the market for a new cleanser that is hydrating, doesn't strip the skin, and leaves the skin feeling soft and supple.

Due to its size, it is easy to store in your shower caddy or on your bathroom sink. I like to use a few pumps of the cleanser for my whole face. Even though you will probably use more than one pump, I still have a lot of product left in my bottle and that is after a months use. You definitely get value for your money in this product. I love cream cleansers, they are less abrasive and are soothing on the skin and this formula is exactly that. The formula is really nice, it feels almost like a moisturiser when you first disperse it and then when you add water it suds up a little bit. Another positive is that the product is fragrance-free, and it does not have a smell to it. My skin always feels really soft after using this product, clean but not stripped and dry. This is an extremely gentle cleanser, I found that it was easy to include in my nigh time and morning routine, I've got this product in the shower and as I wash the day off I use this. For morning use, it is good to get your skin prepped for the day, wash off all that sleep and give your skin a clean but hydrated base before you put on makeup (if you chose to wear any that is). For evenings however, I would say that it doesn't remove all your makeup - especially if you have been wearing waterproof mascara, I always find that after the shower I still need to go in with my oil based cleanser to remove any excess makeup. However, it is just easy to use and on non-makeup days it does the job and leaves the skin feeling really clean and extremely moisturised. The bottle does state that it removes makeup, but I would recommend just using this on fresh skin and using a proper makeup remover. I would absolutely recommend this product to others, it is a great staple to have in your skincare routine and super easy to use. As the product is extremely gentle, it most likely will not break you out if you are prone to acne and for those that have dry skin like myself, it won't strip your face and make it feel dry - adds the perfect amount of moisture whilst still making the skin feel clean.

I like the cream to foam formula as I found it was gentle enough with hydrating ingredients and didn’t foam up like those old style harsh foam cleansers. I have used this as my first night cleanse however found it didn’t take all makeup and spf off properly. I find it works better as a second night cleanse after using an oil or balm cleanser or my morning cleanse. After using it left my skin soft and supple, no tight or dry feeling. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle affordable hydrating cleanser.

I have dry skin, and I loved the cream-to-foam aspect of this cleanser, especially as it didn’t feel drying on my skin at all. It’s super gentle on the skin, and my skin definitely didn’t feel ‘tight’ at all after washing my face. The cream to foam makes your skin feel really ‘clean’ after the wash. I usually double cleanse to remove my makeup and wash my face, but felt like this did it all. The only downside is I did get a slight sting in my eyes when taking off mascara etc. I was a part of the Review Crew for this, but loved it and would buy it again, especially as it is at a great price point for an everyday cleanser.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Catherine L. from Gentle Cleanser 101 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have honestly never really tried any CeraVe products before, it’s not something I generally reach for first in the isle. The packaging was well thought out - good size with a lot of product, and incorporated a pump, and was the perfect size to fit into my shower caddy so it made it easy to use. The product dispensed ok, it is a thicker creamy cleanser though so can take a bit to come through. Upon first application, it’s quite silky, but soon foams up to give quite a ‘clean’ effect. Whilst the cleanser is good for an ‘everyday’ wash, it didn’t really budge my mascara or heavier applications of foundation, making it not really ideal for a ‘deep’ cleanser. My skin felt refreshed after use, however, still a little tight. I found my skin broke out around my chin area and hairline, which usually it doesn’t, and seemed to settle after I stopped use for a few days. Overall, it’s a good gentle cleanser, but not my first to reach for in the shower for a real good, deep cleanse.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Maddy P. from A great beauty staple for sensitive skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam cleanser for just under four weeks now and I have to say it has been an great staple in my skincare routine. My skin is mostly dry with some hormonal acne breakouts along my jawline and inconsistent texture on my chin, nose and forehead. I was a little skeptical about the 'foam' aspect of the cleanser as usually my skin feels quite dry after using. However I like cream and milk cleansers, so thought I'd try it, as it's more cost-effective than my usual products. I have to say it worked wonders for my skin and overall texture in the first week, just coming off my period. I use it every night in my skincare routine followed by serums and moisturiser. There is still heaps in the bottle, a little goes a long way. The only downfall i've had from this product is that it says it removes makeup, however after testing it taking off light everyday makeup (including foundation and mascara) it was not effective. Instead I oil cleanse to take my makeup off then follow with this product which was a much more effective way to remove makeup. I'd recommend double cleansing or using a makeup remover first, do not solely rely on this product to remove makeup, even if its very light. Overall, this product is great value for how much you get in it and worked well within a night time skin care routine. It maintained moisture in my skin, helped minimise dry patches around my mouth which I often get and cleaned my skin without irritating it or my acne. I still have heaps in the bottle coming up to my fourth week using it, I will continue to use the product until empty and will consider purchasing again depending on my skins needs coming into colder weather.

I was seriously impressed with the CeraVe Hydrating cream-to-foam cleanser. It was smooth, super soft and light on the face. A little product goes a long way, and my skin felt clean and refreshed every time. I've found that you have to scrub hard with some other cleansers with a lot of product. I love that it's fragrant free (because sometimes your skin and nose need a break). This product is a skincare staple that's incredibly easy to add to your skincare regime, super budget-friendly, developed with dermatologists and a brand I trust and will be recommending to EVERYONE. The one con and this will depend on person to person and with different dryness levels, but I must moisturise post clean to keep it hydrated.

I have always liked using foam cleansers and quite impressed with the consistency of Cerave's creamy formula. It's gentle against my skin with no irritations or sensitivity and easily removes my make-up in one wash. I have rather dry skin and this cleanser works well with keeping my skin hydrated and feeling refreshed. I feel at ease knowing this cleanser has been developed by dermatologist and safe against my skin. A product i would definitely recommend for an all rounder-cleanser!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Annie D. from Super Gentle Everyday Cleanser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CeraVe Hydrating cream-to-foam cleanser has been a delight to use over the past month. I am impressed by the texture and consistency of the product. It is thin and creamy but does not feel like you are rubbing a lotion on your skin. Which I generally experience when using cream cleansers. I also love that it leaves my face feeling refreshed and clean but does not dry out my combo skin. I would recommend the product to anyone looking for a simple, no-fuse gentle cleanser. Especiall6y if they enjoy a foaming cleanser but usually find that they strip their skin of any hydration. In my opinion, it would be fantastic for anyone just starting to use skincare. It has no fragrance and the packaging is pretty sleek and comes with a pump (which can be locked). I would not, however, recommend this product to remove makeup. That being said it would depend on the type and amount of make up you use. When I attempted to use it as a makeup remover, I was unable to remove all of my mascara/eyeliner/foundation. I prefer to use the CeraVe cleanser as more of a second cleanse instead.

Love that it is a cream based rather than a gel based. As i find cream based more hydrating for the skin and it doesn’t strip your skin too much. There isn’t much of a smell which is good and it has not caused any issues on my sensitive skin. Sometimes I feel like I might want something a bit more luscious but really quite happy with this. All in all I would purchase again as an everyday cleanser- it has a great price point, great size and so easy to use in the pump bottle

Rated 4 out of 5 by Linda L. from Super gentle, fragrance-free must-try product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found that it was an okay-cleanser and I can totally understand why there is so much hype surrounding this product. I loved the fact that it didn’t leave my skin feeling over-stripped which I’ve found a lot of other foam cleansers do. The cleanser has a nice texture and I loved that it was fragrance-free! I also loved the easy to use pump dispenser and didn’t make me break out (total win!). I think if you had especially sensitive skin and have really struggled to find a good cleanser, this CeraVe cleanser might be perfect for you! I did, however, personally find that it didn’t always remove all of my makeup effectively; I tried it with both light coverage and full coverage foundations and found that while it did a good job at starting the work in terms of makeup removal, it didn’t always completely cleanse all the makeup off my face. Nothing that a double cleanse can’t fix but I generally prefer my cleansers to be more effective at makeup removal at first-go. I would recommend everyone give this product a go because it is such a gentle product, and just keep in mind that skincare is very unique to you and your needs (this CeraVe product might well be perfect for you!).
