I feel this product you need to use it the way the instructions tell you too! Works perfectly that the bottle is a pump system and I had no issues using it daily, I didn’t have pimples at the time of using so I can not comment on this but I can say it gave a bit of bounce in my skin.

I needed something that doesn't pill under makeup - and this one worked well with all my other skincare. I have quite a lot of pigmentation (from years of neglecting to use any skin care/spf) so I wasn't expecting any miracles however I did start to see a noticeable difference in my uneven skin tone and pigmentation after starting to use this brightening booster , which was amazing. I love how it combines the Vitamin C and Niacinamide - that takes 1 step out of my routine saving me time each morning. I use this serum every morning then follow it with moisturiser and , of course, an SPF to finish off. Its not sticky or unpleasantly scented and it absorbed easily. I also had no issue with it being irritating at all, which is important to me . Great product that I will continue to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Healthy Skin Brightening Serum! I do love this Vitamin C brightening serum! Without being oily or thick, it is thoroughly absorbed into every pore, without clogging my skin. It leaves a light, refreshing film over my face and neck, adds a vibrance to my looks straight away, and a much smoother and brighter complexion altogether after a week of daily (I recommend twice daily) use. I like to use this morning and night after cleansing and in conjunction with my moisturising and hydration regime, which has changed recently due to my having relocated to the tropics. On very hot and humid days, this serum can be used in place of a moisturiser as a basic staple that's nourishing and restorative - I really feel it doing my skin a lot of good. I'm also really happy I can use this prior to applying makeup without it disturbing it. I'll continue to use this product and I recommend it for any skin type and to anyone who wants an easy way to take better care of their skin with a natural and rejuvenating everyday treatment!

I was hoping it may calm my rosacea, but I didn't notice a difference with that particularly. I found it quite smoothing and plumping. I was able to use it this under my foundation. I'll keep using it, as it makes my skin feel nice. I am grateful for the chance to try out and review this product, I wasn't sure if it would work, so I was pleasantly surprised. I will keep using this and see how much improvement I have, as I would love to have nicer skin, don't we all?? So I hope it works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Left my skin feeling fuller and brighter [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using a Vitamin C serum so I didn't really know what to expect (aside from what is written on the bottle). I have a super simple skincare routine (not because I have clear skin, in fact quite the opposite). I used this AM after washing my face and before Ultra Violette sunscreen following a PM application of overnight Alpha H Liquid Gold and The Ordinary moisturiser. The bottle itself is nice and pump worked perfectly with no issues or blockages. The serum is quite liquid so you only need one or two pumps to get enough to cover your face and neck. I took it all the way down my neck/chest to help my skin in these areas too. Unfortunately, I found this serum hasn't helped much in terms of acne and breakouts, but I definitely have noticed a brighter and more bouncy quality to my skin - especially in my cheeks and forehead. I have quite combination skin and don't often find it with these qualities so think Swisse is partly to thank!

I didn't necessarily see a physical difference in appearance but I did notice the texture of my skin improve, I can see myself using this product in my skincare routine during the colder months - it would be especially useful during Winter when the skin really dries out and looks dull, which is currently an ongoing issue for my poor face. This would be a good product for those with skin sensitivities - I've got sensitive skin and didn't have any kind of reaction which was an unexpected surprise.

In particular it appears dull and I have a few darker spots hanging around. This Vitamin C serum has helped improve the appearance of my skin, by bringing it back to the healthy and hydrated skin I had before we started to move into the cooler months. I have been using the product for at least 3 or so weeks, and intially after two weeks my skin started to improve. I noticed my skin become a lot more hydrated and clearer, and it finally has that glow it had throughout summer. Having used this daily (and continue to do so), this is a gentle formula for applying as part of your morning routine. I try and keep my skincare regime simple, so I applied this after cleansing and before moisturising. This is a great product for anyone with uneven skin tone, dull or darkk spots, as the vitamin E targets and corrects these concerns. Swisse is an affordable skincare brand and one you can pick up locally from your chemist, therefore at $24.99 a bottle you can't go wrong! I love how this serum is a push top rather than a dropper. It makes it a lot easier to dispense and more hygenic. I would apply 1 - 2 drops and it made it easier to measure how much product you needed to apply. Hughly recommend and wouldn't mind seeing what other ranges are suitable for my skin type and concerns.

The serum feels thick but when applied, it is light on the skin. The serum absorbed quickly on my skin. After a week or so trialling this product, i have noticed an extra glow on my face and my skin looked fresher. This is my first time to try on a swisse skin care product and would definitely be looking at buying (to try) more of swisse products in the near future. Thanks for the experienced beauty crew!

It has lots of good ingredients to brighten. I use it every morning under moisturiser and sunscreen. The serum itself is silky and smooth. It feels really nice on the skin, not too oily. It makes my skin feel smoother and even the next day. I haven't seen too much brightening but i know vitamin c serums take a while to make big differences. Im always cautious trying new serums as i have acne prone skin, but this serum hasn't broken me out at all. I like this serum and will definitely keep using it, considering the low price!

My skin can be quite sensitive to active ingredients but this one has been fine. Complexion is looking brighter and more even. Also affordable! I do wish it came in a bigger size though as vitamin C usually takes a while for the results to show. A lot of vitamin c products also have a strong metallic scent to it which this one didn’t seem to. The spray cap is also a big plus as you don't have to worry about pumping it on your hands first. I would recommend this to a friend.

I used it by pumping some into my hand and applying to my face that way. When I pumped onto my fingers, it quickly dripped away and disappeared, so I wasted too much product trying that way. It isn’t the consistency of water, but it is runny. There is no fragrance which is great. This meant it didn’t smell amazing but it also wasn’t terrible like many vitamin c serums can be. It was reasonably clear with no colour to it. I have been using the serum most mornings for the last couple of weeks. While it didn’t transform my skin into a radiant moonbeam, I do feel that I looked a bit brighter and cleaner from it. I am not sure if it had any effect on pigmentation though. I expect if I keep using it for longer I will see a more noticeable change. I applied the serum after cleansing my face. Some days I would cleanse, exfoliate with BHA, apply vitamin c serum, then moisturiser. Then add sunscreen, primer and foundation. Other days I would skip the chemical exfoliation and cleanse, vitamin C, moisturise, SPF, prime, foundation. Or if I was just at home, I would stop the routine once the SPF was one. No matter what routine I was doing for the day, the product always fully absorbed into my skin quickly. I didn’t look shiny or greasy from it. There was no pilling when I added other products on top. I have tried quite a few high end vitamin c serums and never repurchased any of them. I am considering getting a second bottle of this. It hasn’t revolutionised my skin but I think with longer term use there is potential for a more dramatic change. I have pigmentation on the side of my cheek and forehead that I would love to fade. As this is on the cheaper end of the price scale, I think it is a worthy investment to see what happens with long term use. My skin is very sensitive and goes bright red from most products, especially if I use after an aha/bha. But I didn’t react to this at all. No stinging, no redness, no burning sensation. It was very gentle. I am happy with the ingredient list, there is nothing there that causes me any aggravation. The serum didn’t dry my skin out or cause any flaky bits. It also didn’t make my oily. I would recommend this to others. It is a great price and more effective than other products that cost five times as much. It is especially great value if you can pick it up on special from Chemist Warehouse. I would suggest trying a bottle of this. It has made me very interested to see what other skincare products Swisse have. If they are a reasonable clean ingredient list with nothing that should aggravate sensitive skin, I will happily try more from the skincare line. Overall, this is a great product and I am so pleased I tried it.

This is a great option for those starting out, especially when it comes to value for money. I applied the serum in the morning after cleansing with micellar water. It has a slight scent but wasn’t unpleasant and is a thicker consistency than some other Vitamin C products I’ve tried. The pump applicator makes it easy to control the product and I love how it absorbed into my skin. It layered well with other products and sat nicely under makeup, however, I liked it even more on those make-up-free days as it gave a nice, hydrated glow. I have quite strong pigmentation and dark spots and didn’t notice a significant difference in brightness or fading so not a game-changer for me, but it’s definitely convinced me to consider trying other Swisse products in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am all for looking for products that are free from toxic ingredients, so when I was asked to try this product I accepted without any hesitation. With active botanical, antioxident and vitamins like 10% vitamin C and the amazing added ingredients like niacinamide, pomegranate and vitamin E i was hopeful that this would be a wholey grail and I could chuck away half of my skin care away which too would be such a good cost savings! Well.... it was pretty impressive. I have very sensitive acne prone skin so whenever i try new products (especially Vitamin C products) that would break me out in cystic acne...and to my surprise i have yet to have a breakout! This booster serum is is so hydrating and feels so nice on my skin providing me with nice moisturised soft skin! I do have some acne scarring which i am yet to see fade so I will definitely continue to use it and will put it on my stretch marks to see if it helps. There's not too much smell to it as it is fragrance free so i wasn't expecting to much maybe a hint of pomegranate. Texture is nice not an oily kind of feel, which i do not like any skincare with an oil texture and one thing i am and will always be behind is products that havent been tested on animals, so overall Swisse have done so well creating this product and i am very curious to try their other products.

I have dry skin with some darker spots and I noticed that after using it my face appeared brighter and felt more hydrated. There is also a subtle scent to it which I find refreshing. The only downside I found with this serum is that my foundation applied patchy over the top of it. I would recommend this product to those who have skin on the drier side and that have issues with dark spots.

For the trial period, I switched out my regular expensive serum and replaced it with this and I was so pleasantly surprised. My skin maintained its gooey clear complexion on this serum. It’s a light serum and completely odour free. This serum didn’t have that typical bacony smell that most vitamin c serums have which made it thoroughly pleasant to use! It’s light and easily and quickly absorbed. This is a great product for those starting out with a vitamin c or those hating the typical smell of a traditional vitamin c serum.

The Swisse Brightening Booster Serum is a thicker consistency than other serums and applies to the skin well. It feels refreshing and moisturising when applied. I used this in conjunction with a vitamin c micellar water. And I think the combination has left my skin looking brighter. I’ve noticed my face looks smoother and more even toned. My dark spots are not as noticeable as before. In my opinion the Swisse Brightening Booster Serum does what it says on the label. I am pleased that this serum doesn’t have a strong fragrance. It applies well under my moisturiser and makeup. Though I did find that it needs to set for a few minutes before applying anything over it. Having used other vitamin c serums, the Swisse Brightening Booster Serum has been the best for me thus far. I’ve had no redness or tingling unlike when I’ve used other vitamin c serums. When applied at night, I find that in the next morning my skin looks well rested and not oily. Especially around my t zone. The Swisse Brightening Booster Serum Is packaged in a glass bottle with a pump applicator and is 30ml. The serum itself is a thicker consistency- not really runny. Don’t let the murky appearance put you off. It doesn’t have a strong citrus scent which is surprising but a scent I compare to something more earthy and natural. I am happy with the Swisse Brightening Booster Serum and would recommended it to friends and family. It’s reasonably priced at around $25 but can be found cheaper with sales. It’s also readily available at supermarkets and pharmacies.

The packaging appears to be pretty standard and the pump is easy and clean to use. I found that I needed about 2 pumps’ worth to get sufficient coverage and it left my skin feeling hydrated without a super heavy or oily feeling. The scent was ok as well, and it formed a nice base for my moisturiser and other skincare products. After a week or so, I noticed a small difference in brightness and hope to continue seeing positive results. Worth a try at this price point if you’re looking for something new but not looking to spend too much

I used it after washing my face in the mornings and after applying a toner, once a day, which I found to give the best results. The serum has a nice, appealing smell and feels soothing on the skin, while also not feeling too oily or greasy. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all and instead makes my face look brighter and fresher. The serum also helped with minimising acne and redness. I think the item is great value at its price and would highly recommend if you have slight acne or wish to have a brighter look.

It is suitable for daily use and absorbs nicely into the skin. I used 1-2 pumps after cleansing and applying an essence, then followed with moisturiser. As I only used it for 3 weeks, it is hard to comment on whether it's made a difference as it's not long enough for a full cell turnover (which is about a month). You would need to use it for a few months I think (before you could see visible differences). It's a nice serum but for me, not quite strong enough to see any results so I probably wouldn't purchase. However, if you're starting your actives journey, this might be a really nice first step as it doesn't irritate and feels nice on the skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A glowy serum but not ideal for oily skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally only use serums at night because I find a lot of morning serums don’t sit well under my primer and makeup. Whilst this serum is fairly light, it made my makeup feel a bit oily when I put it on. I have naturally oily skin so this isn’t ideal to feel dewy and oily at the start of the day. I would recommend using the serum on a day when you’re not wearing makeup. On the days when I wasn’t wearing makeup and used the serum, I did feel like my skin was a bit smoother and glowy. I also used the serum on my neck and décolletage, which I did notice felt a bit smoother after using it for a few weeks. I wouldn’t recommend this serum if you have oily skin and wear makeup every day for work, but if you wear minimal makeup then this serum would be a great one to use everyday.

Since using this product I have seen a tremendous change and will definitely be repurchasing this product for future use. The packaging is great and easy to use as well as a good consistency in the product. The scent is nice and not too overpowering which is what you want in a face cream. If you are looking for a vital C serum I would not look past this product and would 100% give it a try as it can transform your everyday skincare routine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great all rounder [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve really enjoyed using this Swisse Vitamin C serum. It has a slightly unusual fragrance which seems to be typical for Vitamin C serums but it is quite light and seems to disappear on application. It has a slightly cloudy appearance and thin texture which completely absorbs into the skin. I use it morning and night and my skin is looking quite good. It is very gentle and has not caused any irritation at all. It has been a few weeks and there is still quite a lot left in the 30ml bottle so I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of results I achieve by the time I’m finished using it.

During the day I don’t like to layer too many products because it moves my makeup so I’ve been applying this serum under my moisturiser before bed. Works well overnight and absorbs nicely on fresh clean skin. Definitely great value for money, especially if you are new to serums as part of your skin care regime. Texture is smooth and not sticky on the skin, dries well. Product does the trick smoothing out lines for a more plumper and fresh faced look without the price tag of a high end serum.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Swiss serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really interested in trying the swiss vitamin c serum as i feel my skin is starting to look quite pigmented as i get older. The packaging was a nice little box and inside there is a small bottle of the serum with a pump lid. The pump lid on mine wasnt working it didnt draw serum up so iv had to just pour it out which is midly inconvenient but didnt affect the product at all. The serum feels light weight with a very mild smell which suits me fine as i dont like highly scented things. I have sensitive skin. The serum glides on quite smoothly and doesnt sit on the skin it soaks in quite well and makes an excellent base for foundation under a moisturiser. As far as the products claims go i do feel that my skin has become a little less pigmented and it is looking a bit brighter. It didnt blow me away for a serum but im making unfair comparison from different price points. I would recommend if you are looking to add a little brightness to your skin with a nice light weight serum.

No irritating reaction from it as well. But, I have used this product at night for the last week and have not seen major results. My face feels moisturised but I haven’t seen any discernible brightening effects. I’ll continue using the product because results, especially with products that include vitamin C, might just take some time. The scent is not offensive and I do like how it sits on the skin. The formula also appears stable and hasn’t oxidised on me yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Non-irritating inexpensive vitamin C [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was quite surprised by the results of this serum. I have used more potent vitamin C formulations in the past and can be quite picky. I found this formulation was light, refreshing and would instantly sink into my skin. I didn't experience any irritation whatsoever and my skin also felt immediately hydrated. There was pleasingly no discernible fragrance as well. The packaging was also practical and the pump dispenser accurately dispenses the right amount (approx. 1-2 pumps) each time. While the bottle is fairly small and fits into the palm of my hand, I think the content quantity is fairly generous. Overall, my face appears brighter from consistent use. This is not a bad inexpensive vitamin C to consider purchasing on a budget.

It sits well under makeup, no sticky feeling afterwards like some vitamin c serums and I like the pump style bottle - it doesn’t let the serum go bad so quickly. It is quite thin and runny so you don’t need much product at all. The price is reasonable too. There is no strong scent to the product which is good. So far I have received some compliments that my skin looks a bit more glowy and my skin does feel a bit more plump. I do sometimes have a reaction to products (usually a rash or redness) but so far I haven’t had any reactions to this product. So overall I would consider using this product again.
