Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great on-the-go serum to improve skin softness [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Swisse Skincare's Hyaluronic 2% Vitamin B5 Glow Booster Serum is the first skincare product I tried from Swisse after being a long-time user of their supplements - I love serums vs face creams due to their light and fast-absorbing feel on application, and really liked this product's compact, pump vs applicator form. THE PROS: Loved the pump packaging that make application super-easy, with just one pump providing all I needed to cover my face and neck. Felt great on application after a hot shower, and my skin maintained its baby-soft feel throughout the day either with or without makeup. Skin hydration was improved over the first few weeks of use - a real benefit when my skin is incredibly "thirsty" over the cold winter months! THE CONS: I expected the "glow booster" claim would have a similar result to Vitamin C serums I'd tried (skin pigmentation fading over time during use being key), but the core benefit was really skin hydration and moisturisation (also stated lower on the vial and box - it delivered on this promise). The serum is low scent, so I'd have preferred it to have some level of fragrance to add to the product experience on application. THE VERDICT: A great serum product for use on the go, or for easy post-shower application. The pump application is great, and the serum fast-absorbing, delivering strong hydration results over weeks of usage. Great product for newbies to serum skincare! I received a sample product to trail and review.

The serum is very lightweight and melts into the skin, leaving no residue. Sits well under makeup. The main draw back for me is that it has a slightly unpleasant scent which would put me off purchasing again. Although it doesn't seem to linger for too long. I only used the serum for a couple of days due to the scent, and in that time, I didn't notice a great deal of difference in the overall texture of my skin however it did leave my skin feeling nice and soft. My skin is typically on the drier side and the serum definitely helped with that a little bit while using it. Whilst I probably wouldn't purchase again myself, for the price point it is certainly worth trying out.

I love that this serum has hyaluronic acid and B5 in it - amazing ingredients, especially in winter, and the texture is just divine - you only need the tiniest pea sized amount, beautiful. It spread so nicely and smoothly on my face, definitely better than any other serum that I've used. Loved that! But the smell just is not nice at all. I can't really explain what it smells like, but its certainly not for me - I wish it smelt like something beautiful that I wanted on my face at night, but it certainly doesn't. I also love Swisse the brand, but the packaging (sticker on the bottle) could be a little more lux. It unfortunately looks cheap, even though the serum is lovely.

It was quite offputting and reminded me off something like sour milk. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the formulation. The viscosity is light but instantly hydrates and nourishes my skin. It sinks and absorbs into skin almost instantly. I liken it to a quick drink for my skin. I also find the packaging is pratical and the pump dispenser accurately dispenses the right amount (approx. 1-2 pumps) each time. While the bottle is seemingly small and fits in the palm of my hand, I think the contents are fairly generous.

I’ve been using it for the last 8 months, under the impression it was fragrance free as it states on the bottle. I just bought a new bottle and the scent was very perfume-y. I checked the ingredients and was disappointed to see fragrance listed. I’m not sure if they’ve just added it, or increase the amount of fragrance, but either way I’m disappointed. Now I need to go through the process of finding an alternative serum for my sensitive skin.

I will see how does work to my skin. But it’s fragrance free which is okay. I am more concern how it’s gonna bring changes to my skin and I will post here again if there is no change.
