It reduces skin reactivity to external environmental factors and provides protection by helping to restore the hydrolipidic barrier. The gel lotion texture adapted for all skin types, leaves the skin feeling clean and comfortable, without any tightness. Avène Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser is rich in Avène Thermal Spring Water, which softens and soothes dry skin. Further it also contains D-SensinoseTM (a patented postbiotic ingredient derived from Avène Thermal Spring Water) to help soothe and ultra-calm hypersensitive skin. Directions

Apply morning and/or night to the face, eyes and lips with a cotton pad or directly with the fingertips. Tissue off gently without rubbing. If required use Avène Thermal Spring Water to rinse off. Suitable for use in children (aged 2 years and up) and adults.

I didn’t have any reactions like I tend to do to a lot of other cleansers but I also didn’t find it worked all that well for me if I was wearing makeup, sunscreen that day. It was nice to use as a second cleanser in those instances.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle, hydrating cleanser for sensitive skin I am not usually a huge fan of milk/lotion cleansers, however, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I ended up loving this cleanser! My skin was quite sensitive and had some breakouts when I was using this Avene Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser but it not only does not irritate my sensitive skin, I feel like it also helped to strengthen my skin barrier. Even though it claims to be a no-rinse formula, I still prefer to wash it off like a normal cleanser. Nevertheless, it never leaves my skin feeling tight or dry at all after cleansing despite being a relatively effective cleanser. I don't find it sufficient to remove makeup but I love using it as the second step (after using a cleansing balm). I also love that it does not leave any residue after cleansing, which is what I usually dislike about milk/lotion cleansers. I would easily recommend this to anyone, especially to those looking for a gentle, effective lotion cleanser and those with sensitive skin types.

After using it my skin feels hydrated and not stripped or tight. Super affordable for the amount of product you get. Would definitely recommend!

It doesnt feel uncomfortable to remove it in fact its an enjoyable experience. I loved it personally as a makeup remover and would recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin :)

It is extremely gentle and leaves my skin feeling super soft and clean without drying it out. It was not strong enough to remove makeup in one cleanse though so would recommend using a makeup remover or stronger cleanser first if you are double cleansing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle, Effective & Calming Initially the lotion seemed too light to take my make off and cleanse my skin, it glided on so gently and cleaned my skin and make up off with harsh feeling or look after cleansing, you do need a little more lotion for full make up, but that is to be expected and with the cleansing job done and my combination skin not raw afterwards my skin and I are winning.

I suffer from red cheeks and found this cleanser cleared this and my skin didn’t react like it does for many cleansers no matter the price, so definitely recommend for sensitive skin and skin redness

It made my skin feel nourished and hydrated and not stripped like other cleansers do. This cleanser is super gentle, which is great for sensitive skin but I found I had to do multiple washes using it when I was wearing makeup to effectively remove mascara and bb cream as well as feel like I was cleaning the skin. On days I wasn't wearing make up it felt nice as I had no reaction to the product at all but it still left me feeling clean. Overall I think the product is probably good after you have wiped away any makeup, and it worked better when I used my cloth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle cleanser I really love Avène products . This cleanser is lovely. Simple , no scents and takes makeup off easily. Will break down waterproof mascara with a few gentle rubs of they eyes no harsh scrubbing involved. Although it does say you don’t have to wash it off .. for me that’s no idea because it’s breaking all my make up down and then leaving it on the skin so I would recommend washing your face after you use this. It does say in the description to use another one of their products to wipe it off so just a heads up maybe don’t leave it on your skin unless you have no make up on and just want a light cleanse.

It is more of a lotion, so I generally use more of it, though I do rinse off with water like a regular cleanser. I have particularly allergen-prone skin and generally dry skin and have noticed more hydration in my skin & have not had any reaction to it!
