Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't have professional manicured nails or acrylics, so I can only review on my standard home nail polish. I found this worked incredibly fast to removal traces of nail polish, even around the nail bed. I probably preferred it to using traditional nail polish remover, even though it did feel weird sticking your finger in a wet pot. My only concern is how long it would last? You just keep sticking your fingers in to remove polish - where does all the old polish go? I just am a bit disturbed by the thought of all that old polish collecting in the tin over time. especially if you used it on acrylics or shellac.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dip and twist [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested the Manicare Nail Polish Remover Dip as part of the 2022 Glosscars trial team. I really love the concept of easy nail polish removal, losing the cotton balls and avoiding the usual mess. The container has a nice large opening and you just dip your finger into the pre-soaked sponge and twist until the nail polish comes off. It does take time to do all 10 nails so not ideal if you're in a hurry. It did work though - and it was mess free. There is also the benefit of Vitamin E and Jojoba oil to nourish nails at the same time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy and convenient polish remover [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was only wearing a clear polish but my polish was starting to chip away so thought I would try removing it completely with this dip. I really didn't think it would remove the polish in one twist and go but it did. Nail came out clean with 2 seconds. I am curious to know how much more effort would be required for a brighter colour like red or pinks. This is convenient for anyone who is time poor or for someone like me who quite often puts way too much polish remover on the cotton ball. Could be handy for travel or just to keep in your handbag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works ok, but better in theory [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, so I've always liked the idea of this, but every time I go to try one from a different brand, it doesn't quite live up to my expectations. The concept is simple - just stick your finger into the foam covered, nail polish remover soaked bottle, and start swiveling it from side to side to remove your nail polish. While that seems like an easy enough thing to execute, the reality is a little different - this is no match for glitter (but is anything, ever?), and when it comes to normal nail polish, it still takes a bit of soaking before I can rub it off. It works well enough for certain polishes, but that isn't really the same across the board, and I find that this, overall, isn't as great as I'd like for it to be. I would still chuck it into the bag for a girl's night in, so that my friends and I can just touch up a finger on the go, but otherwise, it's not my preferred method to take nail polish off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Handy nail polished remover. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Manicare acetone free, nail polish remover in a 75ml dip tub, is a good concept. Unfortunately the sponge is too delicate and is falling apart. The directions are to put your fingertip in, dip and twist. Even being gentle and extra careful, the sponge has little pieces breaking off. It is a great price range and an excellent idea, perhaps with a stronger, denser sponge it would be ideal. It works well with clear nail varnish or nail hardener, but with strong polish colours, it quickly becomes harder to remove and stains the fingers. I liked the cute small size. I'm hoping this problem can be rectified, as I did enjoy using it. With some adjustments, it could be a great product. Unfortunately as it is, only 3 stars from me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Manicare Nail Polish Remover Dip [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I've been using Manicare products for decades, this product was a little disappointing. I'm not sure if save time in anyway when compared to the traditional liquid and cotton. It was easy to use, but I found it wasn't great for stubborn nail polish. I think a bit of manual force is needed with removing some products. I can see this as a perfect travel companion, but not as a bathroom staple. After all, I will still need my traditional cotton and liquid for the toes nails. I did enjoy the low scent and mess free tub, as well as the fact it didn't feel like it stripped by skin as part of the process.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A bit hit & miss [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a fan of Manicare for a long time! I've been painting my own nails at home, on and off, over the course of 20+ years and I've always used Manicare products to help clean and care for my nails. I had high hopes for this product as the concept sounded great. I found that it worked fairly well for lighter shades of nail polish and thinner coats of it, but bright or dark colours that had 2-3 coats of colour plus base and top coats took a lot longer to rub off and really it would have been a lot simpler with a bottle and cotton pads. I didn't really see an advantage to this product after using it and I'm unlikely to repurchase or recommend. I appreciate the opportunity to test the product as part of BH Glosscar Awards 2022.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fast, removes effectively! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does the removal so easy and fast. Sponge though, just started using the remover and the black foam breaks off in tiny black bits. Also not a big fan having to re-dip into already mix of chemicals in there form previous polishes. Got to try nail product that contains formaldehyde. And as it is cancerogenic, instructions to use is: avoid cuticle area (as they think that trough nail bed alone you would not absorb the chemical much to cause issues). So after using this and remover over and over, concentration of formaldehyde and other chemicals (that are allowed only up to certain % to be in the formulation not to be considered too toxic) increases over the "safe" limit and the absorption is increased over time using remover and penetration enhancing ingredients in it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Travel-friendly nail polish remover [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was sent to me as part of the GLOSSCARS awards trial box. The nail polish remover comes in a pot with pre-soaked sponge with nail polish remover liquid. It has a strong chemical nail polish remove scent if you hold the pot up to your nose. There is a hole in the center, which you stick your finger in one at a time and twist to remove the nail polish instantly. It takes no time to remove it. This is great for on-the-go beauties or for travelling. The nail polish remover dip contains vitamin E and jojoba oil which is said to help nourish and hydrate the cuticles and nails. As the formulation is gentle, it claims that it will not weaken artificial nails.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Messy nail remover [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was intrigued when I saw this product as I haven’t seen a nail polisher remover dip before. However this product is a lot messier to use when compared to the traditional nail polish remover. After using this product, the nail polish on your nail will spread onto your skin and it actually requires more time to clean up. Be careful when you dip your finger in as there is quite a lot of liquid filled that my spill/overflow. I like how the product is acetone free which contained vitamin E and Jojoba oil, which did not moisturises my nails and did not dry my skin out. Overall, I did not find this easier or a good alternative to the traditional nail polish remover. I would not recommend this product as the traditional nail polish remover or nail polish remover wipes are way easier to use and cheaper as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor execution [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find this product to be one that might have worked perfectly on the design table but lacking when it comes to the actual execution stage. Potentially its marketing of being able to instantly remove nail polish is its downfall as it raised my expectations too high. I had to spend a lot of time twisting my fingers around to remove enough polish to reveal my bare nails, but even then I had to use a cotton pad to clean up the area so it wasn't any more efficient than the traditional way. I'm also not a fan of exposing all my fingers to the nail polish remover liquid.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cool idea but too messy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received this product, I thought it seemed like quite an ingenious idea! The bottle makes it seem like it would be quite no-mess. It reminds me of dip-in jewellery cleaners. Unfortunately, I found using the product to be too messy compare to using a cotton pad and regular nail polish remover. It was also not that powerful being acetone free. I only used this with regular nail polish, but I would be very interested in trying it with gel polish as I find that very difficult to get off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great formulation, but difficult to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed the formulation of the Manicare Nail Polish Remover Dip but found the dip mechanism to problematic. The material in the tub is a pre-soaked sponge which you rub your nails across to remove the polish. It worked effectively to removed standard crème nail polishes but it was a struggle to remove anything with glitter. Also, not being able to see your nail while removing polish off of it means its difficult to know which area of your nail still has polish remaining on it. I found myself tipping the liquid out of the tub and onto cotton rounds to remove my polish because the dip mechanism was ineffective to use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as Effective as Alternatives [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate to get on the trial team for the Manicare Nail Polish Remover Dip, however didn't find the product was very easy to use in comparison to traditional nail polish remover. I used the product for dark nail polish and found after using the product the nail polish colour was spread around my finger, and required more effort than using a traditional nail polish remover with a cotton bud. As such, I wouldn't recommend this product as I believe a traditional nail polish remover is easier to use and more effective.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Messier than the traditional method [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think it was a pretty clever idea, whoever came up with this product. The bottle has a sponge inside which is saturated in nail polish remover. You’re supposed to dip a finger in and twist until the nail polish is removed. I was quite skeptical to do that because that would require you to expose unnecessary skin besides your nails (your fingertips) to nail polish remover, regardless of the product claiming to have moisturizing properties. I’ve got quite dry skin and eczema. When I dipped my finger in, I didn’t know the nail polish remover was filled to the brim so it overflowed and made such a mess. You’d have to pour some out before initial usage. The sponge itself could be more dense; I found it too soft to effectively remove nail polish in just a few twists (2 coats plus top coat and base coat). Overall, I didn’t find this more effective than the usual cotton pad and nail polish remover method. Also, I’m not a big fan of using the same sponge to remove nail polish over and over again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for travel [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried something like this a few years ago and it was absolutely useless so I didn’t have high expectations for this. I think this is perfect for travel or for touch ups but I just found it took a lot more time and effort than just using a nail polish remover and cotton pad, so unless you’re really wanting something to take on a trip or to touch up on the go, I’d skip this. I usually wear a base coat, two coats of colour and a top coat. I would have to soak each nail for a good 30 seconds against the wall of remover, and then rub my nail for another 30 seconds to remove all the polish, and if I was wearing a bright colour, I’d have to go in with a soaked cotton pad to tidy up my cuticles. I really wanted to like it but it missed the mark for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cute idea but not ideal [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit hesitant with this one. I'm not sure who the target market is, possibly people in a hurry? The packaging is simple and basic, does exactly what it needs to. Easy to open with a twist off lid which reveals a wet sponge with a hole in it. Lightly pressing on the sponge reveals the bottle is full of nail polish remover, be careful as it spills and squirts easily. I played around with a few ways of inserting my finger to avoid touching skin as much as possible but found it quite impossible to do. This is a huge downside for me as repeated usage will most certainly dry out the skin and possibly cause allergies. In terms of effectiveness, I found it very messy with the nail polish getting smeared all over the inside of the sponge and then onto the skin, another big no for me. Overall, I like the idea but it's just not hitting the market and causes more issues than it solves. I will probably squeeze out the sponge and use the remover with traditional cotton wool to remove my polish in future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Foam breaks up in tiny bits [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Manicare dip polishes before and have always been happy with it. I was looking forward to trying this acetone free one. I was really disappointed with it this time. The acetone free formula was filled to the brim so when I even just put the tip of my finger in it already overflowed. Had to pour some out into the sink to use it normally. I then started to do each finger individually in the usual fashion as instructed. The formula is great and ti didn't feel drying at all on my skin or nails and it got rid of the polish, but I was so disappointed with the foam!! The foam broke up in little pieces every single time I used it. It was just messy and by the time I used it twice for two full hands, the entire bottle was full of broken up foam. I use it very gently. Must have gotten a bad batch or something as Manicare is always high quality.
