Directions

Wet your skin with warm water.
Take a pea-sized amount of the cleansing oil onto your hand.
Gently massage the product onto your wet skin - emulsifying the oil cleanser into a foam consistency and avoiding the area around the eyes.
Rinse well with water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, thoroughly rinse with water.

I am an avid sunscreen user, so I do need a good thorough clean, but my skin is also combo dry which can be an issue. I have previously used other gentle cleansers, but also felt I was compromising in terms of how clean my skin was or how stripped it felt. This is not an issue with this delightful cleanser. I use it by splashing my face with warm water and pumping out about ¾ of a pump of the cleanser. I then rub it in circles across my whole face. As I do this it suds up. While it is quite sudsy I wouldn’t strictly call it a foam, but that’s just semantics. I then rinse it off with warm water and apply a hydrating serum, rosehip oil and moisturiser. Since using this product I’ve noticed that I’ve had less dry spots on my face, and less times where I’ve felt the need to top up my moisturiser. Given how good this cleanser is, I plan to try a CeraVe moisturiser next. I definitely recommend this for people with dryer skin types.

I have very sensitive skin and I found that this cleanser did not irritate my skin at all nor did it dry my skin out. I love how it felt on my skin also. It didn't feel like it was stripping my skin of moisture, in fact, my skin felt very moisturised after using this product. I also really liked how the scent was not too strong and it was also really easy to apply to my face (i didn't need to vigorously rub). Overall, i am really impressed with this cleanser and i would recommend it to anyone with sensitive, dry skin. It is a great all-around cleanser that does what it claims. It removed all the dirt and buildup on my face and i definitely noticed a difference in the moisture levels of my skin.

In general cleansers dry out my skin. I usually have to alternate between products despite having clear skin or use a bit of moisturiser after cleaning. Used this product for several consecutive days and skin was left hydrated, did not dry out at all. 100% recommend and would purchase again. Only con is I personally prefer the texture of a cream based cleanser. Cleanser was easy to apply and smelt nice. You get a good amount of product so value for money.

It’s extremely gentle on your skin and doesn’t leave a film like other oil based cleansers. I have dry skin and am usually prone to breakouts when I try new products but haven’t had an issue with this! It cleans the skin thoroughly and left my skin feeling clean and hydrated. It removes makeup and other skincare products without stripping your skin, and I don’t feel like I need to double cleanse. It foams well and you don’t need much product, maybe a pump or two. Will defiantly be repurchasing this product when I run out!

It was actually my cousin who loves this product and it is the only brand that works on her skin. She introduced me to Cerave and since, I have been a fan of CeraVe. And when I saw this cleanser coming, I was so excited. I like the fact that it is so light on your skin yet it cleans so well. It doesn't irritate my skin at all which is a bonus! My skin is on a dry note and I've been careful with choosing my product. I am currently using CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser and now I have this product. I think I will keep using the oil cleanser. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

I loved the texture that really gentle on my skin. The scent was crisp very fresh and really added to the experience of the product. I liked the packaging, how it was simple and that I could see the product through the bottle. I really liked the pump as it was easy to control the amount that I needed and I had no issues each time pressing it to get product out, I also liked how you can reseal the pump which is convenient for travel. Overall, a really impressive foaming skin cleanser that really cleans the skin without drying it out. I definitely would recommend!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have dry skin that often feels tight after cleansing (I usually use a FAB cleanser) and this Cerave one didn't do that! In fact, my face felt and looked hydrated. I liked that it's a foaming cleaner, you aren't left feeling there is an oily residue on your face after washing. I also didn't experience any breakouts or purging. The design of the bottle is nice and simple, in line with the Cerave aesthetic. The pump works great, I haven't had any trouble pumping out the product so far. I like that you can lock the pump so that there are no accidents. If you have a dry face you'll like this cleanser.

You don’t even need a full pump to wash your face and It lathers well. It does a really good job of removing make up, sunscreen and eye make up. I feel like I could double cleanse with this if I was wearing heavy make up and it would not strip my skin. I have tried other “dry skin” cleansers and have found that they leave an oily film on my face. This was not the case with this cleanser. It left me feeling clean without being dry! I will absolutely be purchasing this again and would recommend to anyone looking for a a new cleanser!

When I received this product I wasn’t too excited to try it as I usually don’t like to use oil cleansers or any type of oil products on my skin. To be honest I would have never ever ever have purchased this product seeing it in the store as it was an oil based cleanser. But after trying this CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser I was absolutely blown away at how lightweight it felt on my skin and how much is completely removes my makeup. I have very dry and sensitive skin but after using this it feels very hydrated and not dry at all! It foams up but not too much and is easy to apply and rinse off. One pump is enough to clean my whole face and remove my makeup! Wasn’t a big fan of the smell but to me it’s not a big deal! I am so grateful as I would have never tried this cleanser but now I will repurchase and continue to use this every single day!

I have really dry skin (especially in winter) and have been looking for a suitable cleanser for a long time now. I also typically double cleanse daily (oil first to remove makeup or SPF and then a cream cleanser), but after trying this cleanser, I don't think I'll need anything else. The oil-to-cream/foam formula removes all my makeup without leaving my skin feeling like it's covered in a layer of oil and in need of a second cleanse. Plus, it does a fantastic job of cleaning stubborn sebum while leaving my skin soft and nicely hydrated. So amazing for dry and dehydrated skin, or for those who are looking to simplify their skincare routine. Not to mention the super reasonable price point!

I have very dry skin and usually after a shower, my face feels incredibly dry and I feel the need to moisturise straight away. After using this as part of my shower routine, I don’t have that feeling anymore. My face feels lightly moisturised. This cleanser feels nice both on application and after use. The product is also very generous - I find I only need to use 1/3 of a pump to cleanse my face, as it spreads and covers so well. I will definitely be continuing to use this as part of my routine. Highly recommended.

I have dry skin which can be prone to irritation, redness and occasional breakouts in my T-Zone. This oil based cleanser is super gentle on my dry skin, leaving it feeling clean yet hydrated and nourished. Despite the foaming consistency, my skin does not feel stripped dry of its natural oils which makes it ideal for my skin type and preferences. I love the pump which dispenses exactly the right amount and the value for money. An excellent daily cleanser that I would absolutely repurchase.

This product has been so gentle on my skin and has really helped to remove any makeup or product from my pores. The texture of this product is fantastic and it feels so soothing when massaging into the skin. As someone with quite dry and dehydrated skin, this oil based cleanser has really helped to improve my skins overall appearance. It comes in a great size bottle and you only need a very small amount of product, as it does go a long way!! I would highly recommend this product to other people who are looking for a gentle, yet effective oil based cleanser. Not only is it affordable but is extremely hydrating. I have very dry skin and struggle to find a cleanser that doesn't dry out my skin. After using this for a couple of weeks my skin feels not just hydrated but plumper and brighter. This also does an amazing job at taking off makeup as it is oil-based, usually, I find that I have to double cleanse to get rid of all my makeup but I just need to use this once and all my makeup is gone. I also find that some oil-based cleansers can get rid of my skins natural oils I can't recommend this foundation enough!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed by the CeraVe foaming oil cleanser which made my face feel clean and refreshed after ever use. As someone with dry and sensitive skin, certain cleansers can leave my face feeling especially dry but this wasn't the case. While the phrase 'oil cleanser' had me worried, since I'm not a fan of the oily residue certain skincare products can leave behind, this was also a non-concern. This is definitely a product I would be willing to repurchase and would easily recommend. I'm looking forward to adding this cleanser to my daily routine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for double cleansing The CeraVe hydrating foaming oil cleanser is the perfect first step if you are wanting to double cleanse. Even when I'm not wearing a full face of makeup I always like to double cleanse to remove the sunscreen off my face. When you first pump the product out it looks just like an oil but as soon as you mix it with water it starts to emulsify and foam up. I use this as the first part of my skincare routine because it helps to remove all the makeup and sunscreen from off my face. It does foam up well and my skin feels clean without leaving any greasy residue behind from the cleanser. You can also use it with a wash cloth too if you prefer. Sometimes one pump isn't enough and I go in with a second cleanse of the oil cleanser. I then always follow it up with another cleanser to as part of the double or triple cleansing process. Even though it's for the face I can also see this working well for the body if you have sensitive and dry skin.

I bought this to be used as a first-step in my nightly/morning routine 'cause I thought it would work like the oil-based ones you use to melt your make-up and stuff but instead you have to use water first to activate it. Don't get me wrong, it still does the job. It's just a matter of preference in my part I think. As I said, it's my first-step and I still follow this up with CeraVe's SA cleanser at night just to remove all the gunk on my face especially I use SPF (which is hard to remove at times).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's just ok This was released in Australia before some other regions (we are usually the last to get new things) so I was very excited. Rushed out and purchased. But it's not for me. As a first cleanse, it doesn't remove make up and spf as well as other cleansing balms and oils I've previously used. It's kind of soapy (I guess it says 'foaming'). No discernable scent which is good. I think it's a fairly high price point for what it is. I have since been using it up to shave my legs and as a body wash. It's nice and hydrating as a body wash!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic cleanser! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love CeraVe and i love this cleanser! It does exactly what it needs to do! I find most oil cleansers are way too thick and luckily this one was the right balance. It doesn't leave a residue on your face but still feels as luxurious as any oil cleanser. Its great for removing waterproof makeup as well! Personally i didn't love the smell of it BUT this is because it has no nasty fragrances in it which is such a plus!! I have dry flaky acne prone skin which can be tricky but this cleanser made my face feel super soft and cleansed. I did however do a double cleanse and used CeraVe’s foaming hydrating gel cleanser afterwards. My only issue with this as i like to cleanse in the shower is that if your face is wet it basically just washes away and doesn't do much. You have to use this cleanser with a dry face first to break down all the makeup then follow up with water to get the foaming action! In conclusion i think this is a fantastic cleanser and for the price it is, it should be a staple in anyones routine!
