Directions

Wet your skin with warm water.
Take a pea-sized amount of the cleansing oil onto your hand.
Gently massage the product onto your wet skin - emulsifying the oil cleanser into a foam consistency and avoiding the area around the eyes.
Rinse well with water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, thoroughly rinse with water.

This cleanser is non -stripping, hydrating and gentle; that works well in removing make up and the days sunscreen and dirt. I have dry and red patches next to my nose and this product did not aggravate or harm my skin. My face felt clean and hydrated after use and did not feel overly drying like some foaming style cleansers can do. I think the size of product, the quality of formula and the price make this a really great addition to any skin care routine. I would recommend this to friends and family.

It doesn’t smell, has a gel like consistency and foams well enough. I have really dry (almost flaky) skin and I have to say with this cleanser I didn’t really see any of that which is why I loved it! However, I did expect it to also be a great makeup remover because of the oil in it. So if you’re thinking that too, then this is probably not for you. This cleanser is simply a gentle and mild, everyday cleanser - if you have really dry skin or are just looking for a gentle face wash then I would recommend this. Overall a great cleanser that does what it claims.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great effective cleanser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Things I liked about it - a pump goes along way, and was plenty to wash my wash, neck and décolletage. It was easy to control how much to use, personally half a pump was enough. Especially if you are only doing 1 wet cleanse. - I love that Cerave products are fragrance free. However this doesn’t mean their products don’t have a smell, however I appreciate no added fragrance to mask the smell of the ingredients. It was very mild, and did not stay on the skin after washing it off. - My skin felt clean but not too tight and dry after using it. However I wouldn’t describe my skin as feeling hydrated afterwards, I definitely still needed to moisturise my skin not long after shower or it would begin to feel dry. - Packaging is nice and simple and the product is a great price. However for me, it lost a star, as I was a bit confused about the product being marketed as an “oil cleanser”. As someone who has double cleansed for years, on days when I wear make up, and have tried multiple balm/oil cleansers as a first step to remove makeup, this product was not marketed as a makeup remover. I tried it at first like instructed then decided to use it like my usual oil cleanser (DHC) but found it less effective at removing makeup, and stung my eyes. It does foam up quite a bit when using with water and doesn’t leave any oily feeling to the skin (great!). As another reviewer said, it seemed more like a “gel” like foam cleanser rather than a traditional oil cleanser you would use during a double cleanse. However I still enjoyed using it. It was effective at removing my sunscreen and easy to use during the shower on most days, since I don’t wear make up often. However it won’t be replacing my DHC oil cleanser on days where I wear make up and need a double cleanse!

It definitely lived up to my expectations. I really enjoyed the foaming formula, a little went a long way and it foamed up fast without having to rub too much into the skin. It was super light and soft on the skin, making it easy to swap into my shower skincare routine. I used this as my first and only cleanse early in the morning and then part of my double cleanse in the evening. i was happy to do a single cleanse with this product in the morning as it left my skin feeling nourished and replenished first thing in the morning. Added bonus, I also love that it is fragrance free, which is a big win in my books as I have sensitive skin. I highly recommend this product for all my fellow sensitive and eczema guys and gals!

They're always gentle, effective, and economical and the hydrating foaming oil cleanser did not disappoint. I have fairly balanced, normal skin but over winter my skin becomes quite dry, so I don't like using a strong cleanser. This cleanser was really gentle but did a great job cleansing away the day. It didn't cause any breakouts and cleaned my skin whilst moisturising it. My skin felt really soft and smooth after use. There's a good amount of product for the price point and you don't need to use much so I can see this lasting a long time. I'll definitely be repurchasing!

I normally avoid using oil based products as it makes my face break out, however this product does the complete opposite. I have reasonably dry skin, and I love the way this cleanser makes my face feel both rejuvenated and hydrated. I saw result in in my face in less than a week. My skin was brighter and my face was less dry. I loved the consistency and texture of the cleanser. I have very sensitive skin where this cleanser didn’t irritate my skin once. I loved the scent as it wasn’t over powering. I would defiantly recommend this product to anyone with dry skin. It worked wonders.

I’ve previously tried other CeraVe products and found them to be really gentle so I was open-minded when trying this cleanser. The packaging is super convenient and dispenses the product cleanly. It was super easy to use and didn’t make my skin feel greasy at all. I used it as a double cleanse as I didn’t quite get the squeaky clean feeling after the first time but the overall result was decent. If you’re open to trying a gentle oil-based cleanser, this is a good place to start!

The name of the product really says it all - foaming and hydrating! The formula is a good consistency to lather which means you only need a small amount and means the product will last longer. Win! I have been using the cleanser both morning and evening and it has balanced out my skin. I have noticed less drying of my skin and more hydration. I really enjoyed that the product is fragrance free and it's comforting knowing the brand/ product is formulated with a dermatologist. It reassures me the product is gentle for my skin. Being an oil cleanser I didn't notice an oily or greasy feel on my skin, the cleanser left my skin feeling clean without stripping the good oils already in my skin. Highly recommend.

Seeing ‘oil cleanser’ made me think I could use this product as the first step in a double cleanse but it’s definitely too thick for that as it is meant to foam up. As a regular cleanser it does the job well, especially if you have dry and sensitive skin. It foams up nicely and doesn’t irritate or strip the skin, and leaves skin feeling soft, hydrated and clean afterwards. I’ve had dry skin and a compromised skin barrier from using Tretinoin for acne, so this cleanser has helped soothe those areas without causing new breakouts. Would recommend for anyone with dry skin who is looking for a gentle cleanser. Also comes in an easy to pump, large bottle and will last for ages.

I had high hopes and this product definitely did not disappoint! My skin is combo/normal and I get the odd pimple. The product foams up straight away and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry which is what a lot of foaming cleansers do. I found this removed all of my remaining makeup and was easy to wash off. I usually double cleanse with a cream cleanser but found that I could get away with skipping that step. It make my skin feel hydrated and it was quite gentle. I didn’t mind the subtle scent as well.

It foams well and leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped. Definitely not a makeup or sunscreen removing oil cleanser as I initially thought it was but after a cleansing balm or an oil, this is the perfect cleanser for normal to dry skin. I would also recommend this for anyone with sensitivities to harsh cleansers as it is not fragranced and very gentle. Overall really impressed and will absolutely purchase it again.

I like the way that it foams, and the application is seem less. I would have to try it out for longer to see the hydration effects especially for someone with really dry skin however it does leave you feeling very refreshed. It isn’t overly oily, and isn’t strong on the skin. It is nice to see that a foaming cleanser actually foams. It isn’t too messy and can be used in the shower, over the basic for simplicity. Can easily be added to an every day routine. Definitely something that I will continue to use and I would definitely recommend this product to others I overall enjoy the product. The only thing that I recommend that could be changed would be the packaging. A lot of writing on the bottle and possibly a colour change to make it stand out abit more

I don't have overly sensitive skin or any major skin concerns but find it nice to use everyday. It's gentle and I don't find it to be drying at all. The only negative I've found is the scent of the product. Although it is labelled as fragrance free (it doesn't have chemical fragrances added in) it does still have a smell which is difficult to describe. This would be the only drawback and the only thing that would prevent me from buying the product again, as I've used other cleansers which have a more pleasant smell that prefer to use over this particular product. If you're not bothered by the smell and looking for a gentle, everyday cleanser then I'd recommend considering this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everyday hero [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using the CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser a few weeks ago and love the pump pack it comes in it makes it super quick and easy to use in the shower both Hubs and I love using it. Seems to do the trick and to be honest I do get dryness around my hairline which is super annoying and I started using some CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser between my first and second shampoo just in the front of my hairline and it has helped so much! The only thing I don’t like about it is that even though I obviously don’t have my mouth open when I’m washing my face it always leaves a really gross taste in my mouth, it’s the only thing I really don’t like about it. It’s a great staple!

I have normal skin on the drier side and have always lent toward cream cleansers. The claims for this cleanser sounded like they would meet my needs so I jumped at the chance to try this. The bottle is the same in style as other products from the brand - a style that clearly works. The pump was easy to use and allowed me to dispense as much or as little product as I liked. I found that about one pump was enough for me. Whilst this product is fragrance free I must admit I found the smell a little bit off-putting and medicinal, however this is personal preference as I am quite sensitive to smell and I wouldn't let it put you off trying this product! The product itself lathers into a nice light foam and did not leave my skin feeling tight at all. My skin felt supple and hydrated. I will continue to use this cleanser some more before I decide whether or not I would purchase it again, but ultimately I would recommend trying this.

I am a regular user of the Cera Ve hydrating cleanser in the non foaming version, so was interested to see how this compared. The packaging and pump is simple and effective, and I like that you can see how much product is left in the bottle. The product foamed up well, but the fragrance free scent was a little unpleasant. My first use left my skin feeling a little tight, but it quickly adjusted. It worked really well at removing all makeup and skincare, and I tried using it both as a first and second cleanse. It was hydrating, although I feel my usual Cera Ve cleanser in the green and white packaging gives me more hydration. Overall a good and effective cleanser!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, having both dry and acne-prone skin. The cleanser feels like a gel when it cones out, and applies seamlessly to the skin due to the texture. I then wet my hands and rub the gel, which turns it into a non-stripping foam. It gently hydrated my skin, while getting the satisfaction of a foaming cleanser. It also didn’t cause me to break out, which many oil-based products do. I also tried it as a double cleanser to remove makeup, and then cleanse, but I don’t think it is strong enough to perform that function. While it removed my foundation (mascara was too stubborn), my skin didn’t feel 100% free if makeup residue.

I have heard so many wonderful things about it, and finally got my hands on it to give it a try for myself. All I can say is I love this cleanser. It is so gentle on the skin and leaves you feeling hydrated. After using, your skin feels so lovely and soft. It also has a really nice fruity smell to it too. You don't need to use much product to get maximum effect, therefore I feel as if this bottle will last months and months. If you haven't already, you need to try this product because it is the missing item in your skincare routine.

Wouldn’t usually go for an oil cleanser as I have found in the past that sometimes it left a layer of oil and made my skin feel oily after cleansing. Was happy with the trial of this product. I have sensitive skin so can be somewhat skeptical about products, as many dry out my skin. This product did not do that. The cleanser was easy to pump and I only had to do one pump to get a good amount for my face. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It was gentle on my skin and seemed to cleanse it well. I liked how it only had a fant fragrant smell, which wasn’t too overpowering. If a friend was wanting to try a new oil cleanser as a part of their beauty regime I would recommend the VeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser for them to try. Thanks CeraVe!

I've been using it every night for the past week or so, and haven't had any issues. This product is quite light so it's very easy and comfortable to use. As it is in a pump, I could easily control how much I used without 'overdoing' it. I feel that my skin was thoroughly cleaned after applying once, feeling quite hydrating and nourishing with no effects afterwards such as breakouts. Not only that, but it had a small but rather pleasant smell too.

This cleanser comes out as liquid and foams up easily on your face when applied. It has a pleasant scent and feels like it's thoroughly cleansing. My skin feels hydrated after using and not dried out like some cleansers can do. I probably wouldn't say it's as hydrating as a good cream cleanser but it definitely does a good job and is good value for money with the amount of use you'll get out of the bottle.

Because of the oil and foaming component, it feels like a double cleanse in one and gives the same (in my opinion) result. I do find it a little drying when used as part of a double cleansing routine and also when used both morning and night, however I find it to be perfect for a single night time cleanse. I get a slight surfactant taste in my mouth when using it, but that goes away as soon as I rinse it off. All in all, I would definitely repurchase. Probably one of Cerave’s most innovative products.

My skin feels softer and hasn’t been this clear in months. A small amount seems to go a long way which is great, as I tend to cleanse twice a day. The only thing I don’t like is the odd scent (even though it’s fragrance free, there is something there). I find myself holding my breath to avoid inhaling as I do find it very unpleasant, however I am extremely sensitive to a-lot of fragrances. Would consider using it again. Would DEFINITELY use it again if a pleasant, light fragrance was added.

I love the products I've used from CeraVe so was really interested to reintroduce an oil cleanser that is hydrating and doesn't irritate, dry out my skin especially when I've got reoccurring breakouts. Since using the CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, I loved how it left my skin hydrated and not dry. Also given it's gentle I love the combination of it being an oil cleanser but foaming. Other oil cleansers I feel make me break out and left feeling like there's an uncomfortable film left on my skin. I'd recommend this product and will be purchasing it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic cleanser for dry skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have rather dry skin which is prone to breakouts and I absolutely loved this cleanser! I used it only at night and splashed my face with water in the morning. It was not irritating or harsh on my skin and I noticed that it helped reduce redness and improve hydrating. In particular, I noticed that this cleanser was excellent during the winter months when my skin is more dry and problematic. The product lathers great and has no fragrance, definitely a plus. I would 100% purchase this cleanser again, particularly because of how high a quality this product is for its price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have dry skin that I try my best to keep moisturised, I was a little hesitant on how this cleanser would feel but was pleasantly surprised. The cleanser foams up really nicely and is great to lather on your face. It doesn't dry out my skin or make it feel tight, it actually feels really clean and soft post using. I used this along with a face washer and it removed my makeup easily with minimal scrubbing. I think this is a great product for every day use and for all ages- its not scented or overly harsh and the formula feels really gently to use.

My main skin concerns are fine lines and trying to nourish my skin now so that it is healthier for longer as I hit my mid 20's. This was an interesting product. I've never used oil products because I'm not a huge fan of the texture and hate the feel of oil on my skin. The way this transformed when water is added was quite different to anything I have experienced before and I quite enjoyed the way it felt on my skin. It worked well as a morning and night cleanser as the first step in my routine, and worked well with the other products in my skincare routine. This product was light and left my skin feeling soft and clear. It didn't leave my skin feeling tight and didn't feel like a film was left on my face. I personally think I still prefer the current cleanser that I use, however this is a much more affordable option and is a good alternative. If you are looking for a budget friendly hydrating cleanser, this is a nice option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great affordable oil cleanser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve really enjoyed using this cleanser particularly as a first cleanse at night or a morning cleanse. It has a lovely kind of thick oil texture which emulsifies once you add water which I found super interesting and new and innovative. In my experience I wouldn’t say it removes mascara the best however. As a first cleanse it removes all other makeup and sunscreen well. The formula is very hydrating which I enjoy for a morning cleanse also. It leaves my skin super soft and nourished and not at all stripped or feeling dry and tight. Definitely recommend to anyone. As the formula emulsifies I don’t think find it to be too thick or rich.

My face felt smooth and less oily when I used it daily over a week. It foamed a little when compared to a soap, however if I was to compare to a typical oil, it foamed a lot more. It is advertised as fragrance free, which is accurate, however I think it would make it nicer being scented. I thought it was quite good for cleansing the skin, especially my face, which gave a more natural look. I wouldn’t have looked for this product on the shelves unless it was given to me, however I like it and would be happy to recommend it to others looking for a cleanser to rid of the oily skin look and feel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect in a double cleanse [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried sooo many cleansers within the past year, I had pretty angry dry and eczema prone skin that needed a bunch of hydration. I first used the original cerave hydrating cleanser which worked really well and calmed my eczema alot. I am very cautious about including any products that might inflame my eczema but wanted to include an oil cleanser as my first cleanse as part of a double cleanse routine. This one works so well in my routine and does not inflame my eczema and hydrates my skin well. It manages to get rid of all of my makeup and sunscreen and is the perfect addition to my night time wind-down.
