Foaming oil-based cleanser with squalane oil and triglyceride for long lasting hydration in normal-to-dry skin.

Directions

Wet your skin with warm water.
Take a pea-sized amount of the cleansing oil onto your hand.
Gently massage the product onto your wet skin - emulsifying the oil cleanser into a foam consistency and avoiding the area around the eyes.
Rinse well with water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, thoroughly rinse with water.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A unique oil cleanser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this product daily for around a week now. The first step of my skincare routine previously was the Garnier cleansing milk, applied to dry skin. I replaced the Garnier cleanser with this Cerave oil cleanser, as my first cleanse, followed by my regular cleanser (Tatcha Rice Wash). I really enjoyed using this cleanser, which wasn't a surprise to me, as I am a fan of Cerave products in general. It is a very unique formula for an oil cleanser. Whilst oil cleansers I have used in the past can feel thick and too oily, this one did not have this issue at all. It lathers really well (a lot better than expected) and is super gentle on my skin. I love that it is fragrance free, as this makes it perfect for sensitive skin. After a week of using it, I haven't noticed any drastic changes to my skin, but I don't really expect that with a cleanser anyway. I will say that my skin feels 'cleaner' though. I have broken out a bit since using this, but I'm not sure that is a result of this product, as it could be 'maskne'. I would most likely purchase myself to continue to use as a first cleanse, as I have really enjoyed using this in my skincare routine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent cleanser for skin sensitivities [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice and affordable foaming oil cleanser to use on a daily basis. I have eczema, occasionally get psoriasis and have very sensitive and dry skin so it can be quite difficult to find an appropriate cleanser that won’t strip my face of its natural oils; I was quite surprised that Cerave’s Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser complemented well with my skin. The product is very gentle but is able to effectively remove even the most stubborn of makeup at the end of the day. It has a very nice, subtle scent and leaves my face feeling fresh, hydrated and clean. Despite the fact that I’m not a fan of plastic packaging and prefer more eco-friendly options, I do like that the pump allows for the right amount of product to be dispensed each time. Overall I enjoyed using this cleanser and I can approve that it is a product I will share with people who also have skin sensitivities.

I have eczema myself and can get dry patches on my face and know this product isn’t going to strip my skin and make my fave feel tight. It feels very gentle and I like to use it as a pre cleanse to take of my makeup before going in with another cleanser but is also great to use the cleanser itself. Definitely worth the price as I pay double the amount for other oil cleansers and now can save money for what it’s worth. Also great for travelling as it has a stop and open twist lid so it won’t spill in your bag.

The texture and scent wasn’t to harsh and didn’t affect my sensitive skin. There was very little scent which helped reduce sensitivity, and it foamed just the right about. After use with the rest of my skin care routine my skin felt so smooth and bounced right back after being extremely dry. The packaging was was great quality, and I loved how it have a lock so it doesn’t accidentally come out. Over all it really lived up to the products expectations. This formula I would 100% percent recommended to anyone with either extremely dry or possibly dehydrated skin. I had my mother with more aged skin but who also who has dry skin. Her opinion was that this cleanser completely replenished her skin and was shocked with how little goes a long way!

Fantastic for my dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin, but after using at night time and waking up in the morning I felt that I had more ‘slick’ to my skin than usual and I looked a bit greasy. It’s nice it has little smell to it and is good at removing mascara and foundation. The size of the bottle is good for the price and the pump is nice and sanitary. It is however too big to take travelling though.

Usually my skin is quite sensitive but this products didn’t cause any irritation at all. The cleanser made my face feel both rejuvenated and hydrated and I had a nice experience using it. The cleanser has quite thick in consistency and I didn’t have to use a lot of product. I do have to say I was not a fan of the scent as it was a touch over powering and I felt too much of the product was dispersed in one pump.

At first it made me feel really fresh and glowing but after a few uses it made me have the worst breakouts where I never usually have them! It’s not horrible just wasn’t for me :( I wanted to love it but my skin didn’t. I have pretty normal skin so wasn’t expecting anything to happen when using it but I was definitely devo when the pimples came out!! In saying that it definitely cleans the skin it just must be something to do with an oil base on my skin, if oil based works for you I would definitely recommend!

But because it's somewhere between an oil cleanser and foaming cleanser it doesn't get the best of both worlds. It's a really gentle foam, so doesn't feel like it cleans as deeply as a traditional foaming cleanser. It also doesn't emulsify your makeup as well as a traditional oil cleanser, so it's not ideal for a double cleanse. What it does well is leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated. However, I would warn anyone that wears a FULL face of makeup that it may not cleanse as deeply as you need. Great for no/minimal makeup days or a morning cleanse.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have quite mixed feelings on this cleanser, I have used a similar concept oil based cleanser for the past 5 years so I’m not going to lie- I was a tad skeptical trying this. I definitely wouldn’t call it an ‘oil’ as such. It is more so an oil based gel as it is quite thick. I also think it lathers (foams as they advertise it) more so like a gel cleanser. The packaging states that it is fragrance free but I do disagree with this, it smells quite chemically- but in a toned down and kind of okay way- definitely not overpowering at all. But it is definitely NOT fragrance free. But I’m saying all that- I actually quite liked the product. It was very easy to lather up and felt like it did the job it was supposed to do. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this product for myself, but I would recommend it to friends/family.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hydrating Cleanser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this cleanser twice daily for the past two weeks , it’s perfect for dry skin , I love that it leaves my skin feeling very hydrated after cleansing , but I did find it doesn’t break down my make up as well as other oil based cleansers I’ve used , I had to cleanse a couple of times to completely remove my make up , but other than that I really love this cleanser , my skin is usually very prone to breakouts and I haven't had any breakouts since using this product , and feels very gentle on my skin . I also love this product will last me a long time and it’s very affordable.

I religiously use the Dermalogica Pre Cleanse Oil, so was using that as a comparison. The packing is simple and much like CeraVe’s other products- I’m glad it comes with a pump that can lock… oil cleansers can be messy! The product itself is a slightly thicker consistency to what I would expect of an oil, but washes off easily along with any makeup and/or spf you may have on. It leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated, however I’d recommend using this as your first step of a double cleanse, just to ensure the product is all off. With a fantastic price point and great efficacy, I may just switch over to this option!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Simple and Effective [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My skin is extremely sensitive and after the first initial use, my skin did feel a bit tight and dry. However, after a few uses my skin became used to the formula. I would not say it is hydrating, but the cleanser definitely makes my face feel refreshed! It is a very simple, easy to use and mess-free product despite being a 'foaming' cleanser. For best results, I suggest applying lukewarm water to your face with a washcloth to dampen the skin and apply one pump of product in circular motions around the face; then rinse it off with warm water. I would definitely recommend this product to others with a less sensitive skin type than my own. I overall enjoy the product and will continue to use it.

You know not all products will show results fast! So we’ll see in the next weeks. This one also not as foamy as it states as well, I don’t mind. 3/5 for me. For all that reason. Everything else seems fine, I would still recommend for those with dry skin to try this! Packaging is perfect, pump works perfectly fine. No soapy or greasy feels.

I think it is a very good product for very dry and sensitive skin. I found it to be a little bit too oily, and felt like there was a layer of oil over my face, rather than it cleansing my skin. While my skin is quite dry, I do like my cleansers to feel like they are actually cleaning my skin. I like that this had no fragrance either as my skin is quite sensitive. I would suggest this for people with very dry or sensitive skin. . I like that it is in a pump bottle so that I didn’t ise too much

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Smell I love CeraVe and always buy their range. This is the first time buying this particular product. It has the most awful smell to it. I couldn't stand having it on my face or the after smell it gave. Not even my partner would use it for the smell. Not sure if it is just this bottle or this product range but I would never buy it again and it was a waste of my money. I will stick to the range of Cerave that I normally use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stop using Squalene! It's bad for us! Product contains Squalene. It's derived from endangered sharks. Shark Squalene use is unnecessary and irresponsible, since only 10% of the shark population remains. It's not a sustainable ingredient. Stop using it!
