General Information

John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask kisses brassiness goodbye in as little as one wash. The advanced, extra-strength formula cleanses while quickly neutralizing brassy tones for fresh and brighter hair. Crushed violet pigments absorb UV light and make colour-treated or highlighted blonde hair appear cooler and brighter in as little as one use.

Warnings

CAUTION: This product contains ingredients, which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary test according to accompanying directions should first be made. This product must not be used for dyeing the eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. Do not apply to a sensitive, irritated or damaged scalp. Discontinue use if rash or irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. For external use on scalp hair only. Avoid contact with fabrics & household surfaces to prevent staining. If contact occurs, clean immediately.
TO PERFORM A PATCH TEST: 48 hours prior to use, clean a small area of skin behind the ear or on the inner surface of the forearm with soap and water or alcohol, apply a small quantity of the product to the area and allow to dry. After 24 hours, wash the area with soap and water. If the area has no irritation or inflammation, sensitivity to the product is unlikely.

Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask knocks out damage and brassy tones fast. For a cooler, more luminous, salon-fresh blonde.

Directions

After shampooing with Violet Crush Purple Shampoo, generously apply the Purple Toning Mask evenly through wet hair and comb through. Leave on 1-3 minutes, and not more than 5 minutes, rinse well. Wash hands immediately. Use weekly or as needed until desired toning results are achieved.

When u received, I couldn’t wait to try it, the product has an intense purple tone, I have warm golden blonde hair and have tried multiple products, this violet crush shampoo tones the blonde without changing the hair colour or grabbing on my grey regrowth , I also thought that the condition was beautifully conditioning on my hair as it long and dry. The product is a thick consistency, and you don't need to use a lot of it as it goes a long way. A very bright purple colour that does not leave a purple tinge as other products have done before. My daughter has also used it and it has helped with the brassy colour her highlights had gone. Would recommend. Product does what it's supposed to do, did help with brassyness in my hair. But you need to use it on regular basis to have a long term effect as i found not as strong as salon products. I wasn’t sure this product would work as well as my more expensive purple shampoo. It smells really nice and is quite bright in colour. The product is easy to standup in shower and the flip top lid makes it easy to use (with the shampoo always near the lid). It lathered quite well and seemed to clean my hair. The shampoo did get rid of the brassy tone but not for a long as I’d like. My hair seemed a little drier than usual and I would probably use this shampoo every 3-4 washes.

Although I did find it a little drying on my hair (but nothing the conditioner didn't fix), it wasn't as drying as other toning shampoos I've used before (it was more if I left it longer between washes). I found this shampoo to tone my hair overall rather than just the lighter bits, which was great as it didn't just turn those parts silver or purple. It has a nice and light fruity scent to it, and it lathered up really well. It was also slightly thicker than normal shampoo

After 3 washes using this shampoo, I noticed that it brightened and enhanced the dyed coloured part of my hair back to its lighter golden honey brown colour. It also left a pleasant floral fragrance on my hair. However, if used alone, my hair felt a bit dried out and knotted, so it works well paired with the Purple Conditioner which then leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturised.
