I’ve only been using it for the past couple of weeks so I can’t comment on the longer effects on my skin, but I can definitely feel my skin being more hydrated already. I’ve been using this serum together with the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration cream and both products worked very well together. Serum had a lovely consistency, lightweight and absorbed very easily without leaving my skin feeling oily and greasy. It’s fragrance free and perfect for dry and sensitive skin. I will definitely continue using it over the coming weeks.

I have sensitive skin and with the cooler weather arriving, my skin has also been getting dry and feeling dehydrated. After the first use of this product, I noticed my skin looked less dehydrated and and it felt lovely and soft. I've continued to use it day and night and it's made a noticeable difference. I do add the Cetaphil Healthy Glow Daily Cream over the top and the combination of the two is great. The product is not greasy or heavily scented and the pump dispenser gives you just the right amount of serum each time. I would definitely purchase this product. I am very pleasantly surprised at how nice it is.

The packaging is sleek and modern but still obviously a Cetaphil product and goes well with the existing line. I like this product is a pump ( even if it took me about 10 pumps to get product out first go) and I'm pretty sure it's an airless pump meaning that all the product actually comes out of the bottle. The serum itself is a white creamy lotion type product and doesn't look like a traditional serum. It has that Cetaphil fresh smell that is undectable once applied. I used 2 pumps of serum for my face application each time. The product itself glides easily on the skin and feels nice and light and absorbs quickly into the skin. I felt my skin was nourished and hydrated. It caused no irritation or redness to my skin and mixed well with products already in my routine. I felt using it I used less of other products and it layered well under moisturiser. My skin felt soft and hydrated longer when using this. I will definitely be keeping this in my routine.

I used this day and night and as I have sensitive skin I did worry it may be too much for my skin, however it was just right. In fact I would suggest using twice a day for the first week and then perhaps just using in your overnight routine. I really enjoyed the texture and wasn't like that of other serums, it felt more like a light cream. I would highly recommend this serum to those with sensitive skin and who may have be turned off by other serums like I have in the past, which caused me to have breakouts This serum will compliment your sensitive .

It is not greasy and soaks in quickly. Also has no fragrance which is what i love. The only thing is it is not a very big bottle, looks bigger in the box than when you open it. Would have to try for a little longer to get full benefits but for the two weeks it was going very well. Not to sure if i would pay the cost for the size of this bottle. I have been using Cetaphil products for quite awhile before trying this new range, i have always been happy with these products so more than happy to try the new stuff.

Like the rest of the range, expect simple packaging, but interesting textures/formulas (vegan and fragrance free by the way!) that would be gentle with sensitive skins. This serum is a fairly rich creamy formula, and you can definitely use it on its own (without the daily cream on top). If your skin is on the drier end of the spectrum, you will get a good boost of hydration without feeling greasy/sticky. In summary: if you’re looking for an affordable daily product but your skin is quite sensitive, give this product a try!

I have very dry skin and felt it melted nicely into my skin with no greasiness or the need for a double layer. My skin felt hydrated all day long and I used this also in conjunction with the cetaphil face moisturiser and eye serum which all together really gave my face a lovely glow. I would definitely buy this cream and recommend to others with dry skin as it has helped reduce the flaky dry skin I have on the end of my nose and actually reduced the redness on my cheeks.

Its simple in its application. I found one pump was ample to spread over my face and neck. I initially used the serum in the morning, using the Cetaphil Healthy Glow Daily Cream on top, and then my foundation. I experienced piling and decided to omit the daily cream and use only the serum, this still didn’t work for me, piling was a real concern, so instead I used as a night serum only. My skin was certainly hydrated and plump and feels soft and smooth to touch. Overall, I am very happy with the results of the hydration serum, not to mention at a fraction of the price I’d normally pay for a serum. Too bad I can only use at night.

The serum's appearance and feel is more like a light lotion and not at all tacky or greasy- it's perfect for applying twice daily. I'm prone to flaky dry skin around my nose, eyebrows, neck and chin and this serum has cleared my skin. My skin feels supple and nicely hydrated and I can layer my other products with ease. I love that the serum is unscented and fragrance free as I tend to react to fragranced products. I love the airless pump pack as it’s much better than using a pipette. I will definitely be repurchasing this serum.

It comes housed in a sturdy pump and dispenses the perfect amount for my face. The serum is a creamy lotion that is easy to apply and soaks in quickly. It has no scent, which I love. It leaves my skin feeling soft and plump and the feeling of hydration lasts all day. I didn't experience any tightness at all while using this serum. It is a bit thicker than I am used to, but even using it under a moisturiser, I didn't find it too heavy at all. It's not greasy and and at the end of the day my skin still feels hydrated and soft. I have been using it twice a day in conjunction with the moisturiser from the same range and my skin has never felt so plump. I have sensitive skin and I find it hard to find fragrance free products, so I am very happy to have found this serum.

It does not have much obvious fragrance and feels pretty gentle on my sensitive skin. It also does not leave any sticky or greasy feeling after the application, which makes it perfect as both day and night serum. It is formulated with blue daisy extract which effectively soothes the skin when it is experiencing itchiness and redness. Due to its fast-absorbing, calming and hydrating features, I personally enjoy using this product sorely by itself when seeking a quick moisturizing/soothing effect such as after shower or doing exercise.

The packaging and bottle is their usual blue and white colour scheme with easy instructions on how to use the product. One of the main reasons I always have Cetaphil in my cupboard is for how Cetaphil products are gentle on the skin with no nasty or harsh chemicals. The product is thicker than their standard moisturising lotion and I was a little bit disappointed that it wasn't as nourishing as expected. After applying I'd also pop some of their standard moisturiser on to ensure my skin felt hydrated. My skin definitely did appear fresher and the tone more even after a few days use. Going to continue using to watch out and see how I go with it longer term

I wouldn't normally use a serum as some can be quite greasy but I love this. Even though this has a creamy texture a little still goes a long way. It absorbs really quickly into my skin and doesn't leave a greasy feel. I have a combination of an oily t-zone with, flaky and sensitive skin. I suffer perioral dermatitis and therefore have to be careful what I apply to my skin. The Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Serum didn't flare up my dermatitis, nor did I have any breakouts in the first few weeks of using. As I'm getting a bit older I like to rely more on gentle skin care rather than make-up coverage for a healthy look. This product, along with the other products in the Optimal Hydration range and the Cetaphil cleanser which I have used for years leaves my skin looking soft, dewy and plump.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I trialled the Cetaphil® Optimal Hydration 48 Hour Activation Serum over 3 weeks. The packaging is neat and easy to use with a pump that gives just the right amount in 1 pump to cover whole face. The serum is a white cream consistency, is a little tacky to start with however absorbs into the skin quiet quickly and has no perfume scent whixh is great for people with a sensitive nose like me. After 1 week I noticed a clearer complexion, more hydrated and plump and I wore it under the Cetaphil day cream which it also acted as a primer. I would by this again as it was easy, to use and it hydrated my skin rely well and the no scent for me was a winner.

My face has had sun damage and age influences over the years. Using this product alongside the moisturiser led to a better skin tone, less dry areas and left my skin looking healthy and glowing. The effects also did last the 48 hours as it said on the product. Had to forego applying for a day so got to test tout how well the effects lasted. Helped to reduce some fine wrinkles as well. Really loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

Slightly oily T zone and drier cheeks. I used this day and night for 2 weeks after cleansing and before moisturising. The packaging is simple and easy to use with a pull off lid. The cream is a light weight white product that is smooth and easy to apply and spread over face. I used 2-3 pumps to cover my face and neck My skin felt hydrated, well nourished and not at all greasy. Skin texture feels smooth, plump and it gave me no irritation. I enjoyed using this and will continue to use this up. I will recommend this serum to everyone as it’s perfect for all seasons and all ages at a good price.

It also acts more like a moisturiser, it doesn’t sink in as quickly as a conventional serum and has a thicker consistency to it. It is however very moisturising and in winter for dry skin types it would offer an additional layer of moisture. For oily or combo skin types I would say it might be a good basic as a summer moisturiser. I wouldn’t go out of my way to try this product, there are plenty others on the market that are nicer for the same cost.

For a serum, it’s fairly heavy, though it is hydrating. It leaves a dewy finish as opposed to a matte finish. It is hypoallergenic, fragrance free, paraben free, non-comedogenic and has zero percent animal origin – so works well for sensitive skin. Given it’s texture, would suggest to use as a stand alone skin hydration product as opposed to wearing underneath a separate moisturiser. Overall a solid product, but would say it is too rich for a serum unless you have particularly dry skin.

I am Asian in background and has sensitive and dry skin type, age 35-40 years. Packaging - the product comes in a standard plastic bottle with a pump mechanism nozzle. The pump is easy to use and easy to control the amount of product you need. Product - this is more like a lotion than a serum. The product is white in colour and odourless. The product is easily spread over the skin, but given the lotion consistency, i don't feel that it is absorbed as quickly as other serums. I like it that the product doesn't leave any sticky sensation on the skin after usage. Benefit - I think the serum has hydration effect and definitely adds to the face cream of the same range. It would be great for someone with sensitive skin. However, other than hydration, i did not notice any other benefits.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Cetaphil® Optimal Hydration 48 Hour Activation Serum for a few weeks now along with the eye cream and face cream. It does absorbs really quickly and you only need a small amount for it to go a long way and to keep my skin hydrated. I’m not sure if I can comment on keeping my skin moisturised for 48 hours as I definitely reapply within that time period but I would say my skin doesn’t feel tight after I wash my face the following morning. I haven’t noticed any change in my skin texture and it hasn’t been visibly refined and smooth, as it claims, since I’ve used it.

It is white in colour and easily dispensed from a 30ml pump plastic bottle. I used this serum at night with the Cetaphil Optimal Healthy Glow cream, and it applied smoothly and absorbed well into my skin. I like how it contains HA, it’s good for sensitivity being unscented and I can use it on my face, even around my eye area without irritation. The serum is moisturising and replenishing enough to be used on its own as a replacement to the Optimal Healthy Glow cream also. The con is the price for the amount of product you get. I think there needs to be more explanation of how the ingredients work to benefit the consumer, what makes it different to competitor’s serums, or have more volume of product to justify the price. It is a suitable serum for dry, sensitive, allergy-prone or fragile skin, and although whether or not it delivers on the ‘48 hour’ hydration remains to be determined, it’s certainly moisturising, comfortable on my skin and I’ve liked trying it. It’s worth a try!

Using it twice a day, it felt nice on my highly sensitive skin. It absorbs in to the skin very rapidly. My skin did feel moisturised and it helped restore the moisture balance to my skin that was going through a period of high reactivity. It is certainly suitable for those with sensitive skin. While I enjoyed the moisturising properties of this product, I don't think I would repurchase as I don't feel that I saw a great benefit from using this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Michelle G. from Nice Hydrating Lotion [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This serum looks and feels like a very light weight white lotion rather than a clear serum as expected. The packaging is great with an easy to use pump that dispenses just the right amount. The serum goes on smooth and sinks in well with little to no fragrance which is great for my sensitive skin. I used this serum followed by the new Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Cream which provided a lot of hydration to my dry skin and left a glowy finish (maybe even a bit too glowy under makeup, but nothing a finishing powder couldn't fix) For the price its a nice lotion, but with so many hydrating serums on the market there are others out there that I would repurchase over this one.

I found it a little different to other serums as it is a lotion not an oil based serum. The consistency and texture were fine and the lotion soaked well into the skin. I found it did hydrate, but didn’t last 48 hours. I needed to reapply daily. It did seem to leave a film over my skin that I needed to wash off. I am not sure if I applied to much or this was the effect if leaving a product on the skin for longer than a day. I found that it made my skin soft and gave it an even texture. I would recommend it but I do prefer an actual serum rather than a lotion.

As with all Cetaphil products it was not irritating or highly fragranced, and my skin tolerated it with no issues at all, even when applied morning and night. It's a good intermediate step after cleansing and before moisturising, however I didn't feel it imparted a great deal of additional moisture to my skin or helped to boost the effects of my moisturiser in a very noticeable way. It is non-greasy and absorbs quickly and well. I can see this being great in summer as a light option.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Eliane B. from Face Serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having sensitive skin myself I was looking forward to using the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Range- 48 Hour Activation Serum. Once the product was pumped out of the bottle it resembled a light face cream consistency more than an actual serum. After my first application the product spread easily all over my face and neck, it was fragrance free and it instantly absorbed into the skin. Unfortunately this product didn’t work out for me (as I was very excited to use it and wanted to make it work) however all because it didn’t work for me it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you.

Its has all the right ingredients to make for a lovely hydrating serum. The fact that it had hyaluronic acid in it made me very excited to try this serum. First off, this serum is very thick.....you only need a very tiny amount of this and the consistency is more like a cream. In fact I decided to use it as a night cream instead. Using this as a serum and then layering with moisturizer and sunblock just proofed to be too much. It felt heavy when used as a serum but actually worked well just on its own. I also used this on a scar on my tummy and I was amazed by how well it hydrated my scar. I know its not what its marketed as, but I did not want to waste it. I also applied it on my décolletage and thought it hydrated that area well too. I don't think this works as a serum because its just too thick and makes layering impossible. This will work well for severely dry and dehydrated skin.

It is very recognisable on the shelf although I am disappointed with the serum. The consistency feels like other serums but feels quite sticky after application and felt like it sat on my skin and didn’t absorb as well which I did not like. During the use of the serum I found no improvement in my skin at all and the hydration levels remained the same even though it says 48 hour activation serum. I had high expectations for this serum but I feel it underperformed
