FIRST AID INFORMATION

For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (phone Australia: 131 126, New Zealand: 0800 764 766) or a doctor (at once). If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. If in eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water. Continue flushing until advised to stop by Poisons Information Centre or a doctor or for at least 15 minutes. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water.

Despite not being a bad toothpaste (I still felt like it gave a great clean), I was a bit underwhelmed by its whitening effect. Maybe I should have repurchased to continue testing, but I returned to my usual Colgate toothpaste, without the whitening claim.

The taste of the toothpaste was a struggle and left a gritty aftertaste that took a few days to get use to. I found I needed to brush with a normal everyday toothpaste afterwards to support my gum heath and get that minty fresh breath. I would probably not purchase this in the future and look after other teeth whitening options.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Whitens quite well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My partner and I trialled the toothpaste together for two weeks and found that it did indeed whiten our teeth; not as much as we’d hoped, but definitely a noticeable difference. My partners teeth whitened by 2-3 shades, however mine by only 1. The taste of the toothpaste is a struggle and does leave an acquired taste after brushing and does take time to get used to. The toothpaste does foam significantly whilst brushing so you do need to expel some of the foam to be able to continue brushing. We did find that as it is only a whitening toothpaste we needed to brush with a normal everyday toothpaste in conjunction to ensure our teeth were clean. Overall the toothpaste proved to live up to our expectations; however it would be great to have this toothpaste incorporated with an everyday toothpaste that also cleans, supports gum/teeth health and plaque/tartar.

At first use, the toothpaste gave a warm gritty mouth feel but you get used to it with time. It hasn’t got the usual minty fresh feeling I’m used to with a toothpaste so that was also an adjustment. It’s easy to incorporate into my daily routine and replace my regular toothpaste. Personally, I’d go for a more quick fix product to whiten my teeth. I’m not sure about long term exposure to hydrogen peroxide in my toothpaste.

I usually have sensitive teeth but I had no problem with this toothpaste. The toothpaste stated it can remove 15 years of stain but I didn't really see a difference on my teeth after using it. I've attached some photos of my teeth before and after using this product. My teeth in the photos appear to be lighter than my actual teeth.

I do believe a longer period of consistent use may make a difference, as 14 days is not always enough time. I also am not a fan of the taste of the toothpaste and find it more hydrogen peroxide-ish, rather than a minty flavour. Finally, the toothpaste is not one to foam in the mouth, and leaves a weird feeling in your mouth. I am not sure if I would purchase this toothpaste again, however I would be interested to see (and will continue to persist using this) whether a longer period will make a difference to my teeth stains. My teeth do not feel any more weaker or more sensitive since using this toothpaste.

I used the toothpaste twice a day for 2 weeks, and on Day 14 I didn't see a noticeable difference. There may be a slight improvement, but the tougher stains will either take longer or I may need to use some other type of whitening treatment. Two weeks is quite a short amount of time, so I am willing to persist a bit longer. The claims about being safe for daily use and not harming enamel proved to be true, I didn't have any discomfort or irritation from using the toothpaste. The lack of a fresh mint flavour makes brushing a less pleasant experience, but it's a sacrifice worth making for the prospect of whiter teeth. Overall, I didn't get the results I was hoping for, at least not so far. I will continue to use it beyond the two weeks and hope to see some more improvement in my teeth.
