General Information

Made using sustainably sourced material, Manicare Exfoliating Back Scrubber is a reusable body exfoliating product made with environmentally conscious materials to support your skin health with the planet in mind. The stretchy material is ideal to use for the back and hard-to-reach areas.

The Exfoliating Back Scrubber gently cleans and exfoliates skin to remove dirt and dead skin to keep it smooth and clear, with a healthy glow.

• Recycled polyester - the back scrubber is made using certified recycled polyester, designed for exfoliating.
• Organic cotton - the handles are made with organic cotton yarn that are free from dyes.

Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin.

Directions

Wet the Back Scrubber to activate the softness of the fabric and use your favourite body wash. Hold both handles with the Back Scrubber on your back and move it in a back and forth motion.

Use to prep skin for tanning or for removing fake tan. Ideal for those with dry, rough patches or who are prone to enlarged pores.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A big and generous back scrubber that dries quick I haven't used a product like this to exfoliate my skin before and it did take a few uses for me to get use to the feeling because I found the material quite scratchy on my skin. After I got use to it I grew to really enjoy using it in the shower. I make sure I use this with some body wash on it as this helps the scrubber to move around more easily on my skin. I found the size of the back scrubber to be very generous and comfortable to use and I found that once I hang it up to dry on the hook of my shower caddy it dries by the next morning which is great as I was a bit worried it wouldn't dry in this Winter weather. After using this Manicare Exfoliating Back Scrubber for a few weeks now I've certainly noticed the skin on my back hasn't been as dry and flaky in the cold Winter weather and it definitely feels smoother because before this product came along I was trying to reach where I could with my loofah so I'm sure some of my back was being neglected. I also grew to love using this in the shower as it gives a massage at the same time as cleaning and exfoliating my back. It's great to see that the material is sustainably sourced too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trial Team Manicare back scrubber [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This offering from manicare is a great multipurpose exfoliator. Designed for use on your back, but it efficiently exfoliates my whole body. It has little handles on each end to hold whilst shimmying across your back, making a quick and easy job. It has just the right amount of coarseness – enough to feel like it’s doing something, but without being too harsh. The handles also provide a place to hang it up in the shower, very useful. It is quite large which means it makes quick work of exfoliating the back, but also means it requires a fair bit of body wash to foam it all up. I really like this back scrubber and think it's a great all round exfoliator.

I have to help her get it around her back as it’s a big long for her, but once I help her get her hands in the loops, she loves using it. This back scrubber is nice and stretchy so it really hugs the body to give good coverage for the hardest to reach (and therefore most often neglected) part of the body. It’s one of those products that you don’t realise how satisfying the end result is until you use it. The loops on each end are handles (obviously), but they’re also perfect for hanging off the hook in my shower caddy for easy accessibility and airing between uses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Little Too Stretchy – Need a bigger shower area! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Manicare Exfoliating Back Scrubber is a great way to give your back a really good scrub! When removed from the box, it measures 18.5cm wide and 46cm long. It’s made from recycled polyester with the handles made from organic cotton. Once the back scrubber was wet, I applied shower gel to it and while firmly holding the handles (with the back scrubber on my back) moved it back and forth across my back. It feels so invigorating! I loved using it but had a few issues as my shower area is glass enclosed and small and I really needed a lot more room for my arms to move freely without hitting the glass sides. The back scrubber material is quite stretchy and I’d prefer it to have less stretch. The organic cotton handles don’t dry easily while the recycled polyester is quick-drying. I was folding the back scrubber over twice – applying the body wash – and using it all over my body in this way as I love the exfoliation it gives the body.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for hard to reach places [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very practical product for the shower. It looks like a long strip of loofah with loops on each end, but it's actually made from recycled polyester. It feels a bit harsh at first but softens with water. The material is stretchy and has the right amount of abrasion for exfoliation. It creates good lather with shower gel, and the length and hand loops mean that you can stretch it across your back. This has been so useful as I always have trouble reaching my upper back. It is also thin enough to be scrunched up to do the other areas like arms and legs. I wouldn't recommend using this every day as it may be too much exfoliation. Twice a week is about right for me. This would be extra useful for those who bulk up at the gym - as your lats (latissimus dorsi muscles) get bigger, it makes it even harder to reach around your back. It can be rinsed with water and left to drip dry in the shower and re-used. Manicare recommends replacement every 3-6 months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Back scrubber manicure [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this product. Getting to your back to wash and scrub can me quite difficult. This product makes it easy as. It's comfortable to use and contains to handles that are quite flexible so you can move it up and down your back and contour to your lines. It easy for me to get that part of my back I just can't reach. The material is quite soft and gentle yet still hard enough to give a good scrub. I like putting a bit of body wash or soap on this and then using it. It does get wet but not saturated so you get a good scrub. It also doesn't leave my skin dry or overly rough from too much. It's the perfect combination. I'm not sure how long this will last or how often you are suppose to replace it but my understanding is it is made from planet saving ingredients. My skin on my back is no longer dry and flaky. I think you could also use this for applying cream. It hangs in my shower nicely and I have washed it already with no degrading of the product. I like it.

I always get itchy on my back as i have my water super hot ... and i find this is perfect for me..the wider area covers more of my body and just love it. I add some of my honey and almond bath wash and i do my whole back all the way down to the back of my legs.. I literally cannot live without this now... Also my skin has stopped itching... i use it and hang it on the towel rack over that bath tub to dry out and i have had no issues will definitely repurchase and recommend

This is a sustainably produced back scrubber featuring recycled materials throughout the product. The back scrubber is ridiculously easy to use and has easy to hold loops to really add some pressure during exfoliation. This is perfect if you self tan or are prone to skin build up or ‘chicken skin’ like me. My skin felt so smooth and buttery soft after use. Also brilliant for exfoliating the upper shoulders and back of the neck. My only issue with the product is that it takes a while to dry, especially during rainy and humid weather, leading to build up of a mildew type smell. It is certainly fine to pop it into the washing machine but I am lazy and prefer the product to be readily available on a daily basis without too much effort. Overall, a good product!

I like the fact it is stretching, making possible to reach most of the back.The handles are bit stretchy too and wide. I found it bit rough for back , I prefer to use it more on my legs to get them exfoliated before hair removal. It is a handy product, never used anything similar before.Good to use in combination with a creamy shower gel. It has to be dried after using, it actually takes a while until it's fully dried

I always found it hard to clean my back properly especially as I suffer from "bacne". I absolutely love this product! The packaging is clear plastic which can be recycled, inside is a long looking towel that is actually made from organic cotton. Everything about this towel is environmentally sourced. All you need to do is hold one side of each handle of the towel and scrub the back. I apply a bit of body wash to it so I can get a deep scrub on my back. It not only exfoliates my back but you can use the towel for the rest of your body. When you are done using the towel, just wring it and hang it up for the next shower. My back looks smoother and clearer after using this scrubber.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for those hard-to-reach places [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's always a bit of a contortioning trick to scrub the back using just exfoliating gloves so this back scrubber makes life easily for the flexilibity-challenged folks. It's wider than the image on the box shows (19cm wide when unfolded and 46cm long) and has loops on either end to hold onto. The material is soft yet scratchy at the same time, and slightly stretchy. It could realistically be used all over the body and not just the back. Is it really a necessary product? Probably not. But for anyone who has trouble reaching all the way around, then this product is helpful.

Manicare Exfoliating Back Scrubber was on my Christmas wish list. I had seen other brands advertised on TV and knew it was something I wanted. I have suffered with bursas in my shoulders for the past 10 years or so and find it very difficult to wash my back. I was so excited when I pulled this out of the box of products. I took it upstairs that night for my shower. The back scrubber is made of certified recycled polyester which is the perfect material for exfoliating skin, removing dead skin and clearing pores. The white handles are made with organic cotton yarn that is also free from dyes. I found that using my body wash on the back scrubber section didn’t work properly, the body wash would mostly just wash off under the shower. I also did have problems using the back scrubber due to my shoulder bursas. I struggled to get a reach of the handles. I did end up being able to use it in some way, not sure if it was the right way or backwards, no matter which, it felt amazing. I wish someone could do it for me so I could relax and enjoy. It has removed my dead skin and left my back and upper arms feeling nice and soft. If I could change anything about this product, it would be the size. I think it would be much easier to use efficiently if the recycled polyester part was double the width.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This back scrubber is basically a long strip version of the exfoliating mitts that you see out there, but it has little handles that allow for back and forth motions to get hard to reach places. It's handy for those that need extra help in reaching the back. I must say, I never really feel as though my back is being missed when having a shower so this may not be the product for me as I don't particularly find myself reaching to use it all that often, but I can see it being a staple for some. It is a good grit in terms of its exfoliation, especially because the skin on the back is thick so it can take a bit of extra scrubbiness. Works well with soaps and foams up well too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Allowed me to get to the hard to reach places [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks for letting me trial this fun back scrubber. I liked the softness of the terry toweling. I am not a fan of the fact that I must let it dry between uses. It is currently the middle of Winter and I can not line dry a terry toweling scrubber. I had to let it dry in my shower and then I did not like the feeling of a partially wet self care item. This exfolaiting back scrubber did help with my gym back acne and it allowed me to get to the hard to reach places that a loofah could not reach. As for colour, why would you choose an off white? Why not something darker? In case you get a stain or dark shower gel on the back scrubber?
