Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too bad [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having tried previous Colgate floss I didn't have high hopes for this product. It was better than I thought - much stronger than previous products and much easier to use. However, it's a bit thick - some of my teeth are close together and hard to floss so I either couldn't floss between these teeth or it got stuck. The plus though was it didn't break like other floss would.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was interested to try this new and improved product, as I haven't had good experiences with Colgate's old waxed floss -the waxed coating would always flake off, leaving a slimy string that is hard to grasp, and bits of the coating in my mouth. This product is definitely an improvement, with less flaking of the coating, making it easier to get out from between my teeth without it getting stuck. I still find with this product that I need to use more to get to all my teeth as the coating disintegrates, but it is recommended on the packaging to use a new length every few teeth. Overall, I found this to be an average product that I would probably only buy if I couldn't get a non-waxed option.

Even coming out of the box and tearing it, had to pull quite hard on the floss. It is not flat but tubular. To get into the teeth is fine but coming out, it often got stuck especially with the teeth at the back. After multiple use in a single occasion, I find the thread started to shred. However it never broke unlike my other floss so it’s strong. I also cannot taste or feel the mint flavour at all.

I struggled with getting it in between my teeth. Although this is not a product flaw but but more to do with individual people teeth space and how comfortable it is to use.

It is a lot thicker than floss I have used in the past and it found that it go caught between my teeth a lot for this reason. It also started to tear and spread when it got caught between my teeth. It definitely works as a floss, but i think it's generally too thick.

I enjoyed the mint flavour, however felt the wax left residue on my fingers when wet. I normally prefer the tape floss as it provides more coverage, however this one does the job.

I have a minor crowding issue with my bottom teeth and unfortunately I found that this floss just got stuck and I struggled to pull it back out again. I cut my gum with it as well. Not as good as other floss products I usually use.

I didn't enjoy using it, and it was hard to grasp properly in order to complete the instructed motions displayed on the back of the container. It took me far longer to use and I couldn't pick up or taste the mint as described.

I find the new plastic container unnecessarily large and bulky, but the biggest disappointment is with the dental floss itself. The floss is hard, dry, round, and actually difficult to squeeze between the teeth. I Hate It. It is really unpleasant to use - not soft and flat like the original Colgate Mint Waxed Dental Floss so many of us have been using happily for years - and I detected no 'waxiness' or 'mintiness' at all. Why do companies always feel the need to mess with products that work, and that work WELL? Looks like I'll be shopping around for another brand, with a "kinder" dental floss.

The latest floss though is a disaster - it rolls out of the container rather than pulling it - is thin - and splits and frays on any tooth! I don't know how a company can get it so wrong! I've even sent them an email about it as it has gone from one extreme (great) to the other (terrible).

I usually have a couple spare in the bathroom, but my stash was depleted so I bought the “new and improved” floss. I’m so disappointed! It’s not a flat thread like it always was. This floss is thick, round, frays easily and now won’t fit between my teeth so is unusable to me. I actually thought I had a bad batch so optimistically purchased a second one, only to discover it was indeed the new and “improved” product. Unfortunately, I now must shop around for another brand. Please stop improving products that work perfectly to begin with!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from inexplicable this is incredible, you had an overwhlmingly appreciated product, which you turned into something horrible. is somebody from inside the company trying to sabotage something? because considering the facts, it's the only logical conclusion. even if the "new improved floss" was a mistake, such a large company would surely fix it in record time. but it seems they are still trying to make something different than the original product. I've switched to oral-b, which is just acceptable, but so far the only one without excessive shredding. bye colgate.

The floss slips out of your fingers when flossing and is frustrating. The older Colgate total floss is much better and doesn’t slip out of fingers. Have to dry fingers when flossing to avoid the slippage. Bought 6 packs and need my money back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to quality control?? Colgate dental floss used to be a great product but this new replacement floss isn’t!! It doesn’t glide through teeth as it used to and actually gets stuck between tight teeth almost ripping fillings out!! Inferior in every way. The old product was the only one I’ve used for years and had no issues with it at all. I would not recommend the new dental floss nor would I buy it again…total waste of money! Will search for an alternative. Also….why is it the same length…100m…yet now in an inconvenient, cumbersome pack twice as big?!! 🤷‍♀️

It is a little thinner than the first replacement of my favourite dental floss (which I used happily for 10+ years). Unfortunately, I still cannot get the new improved version in between (almost all of) my teeth. I will not be buying this product.
