I have sensitive and slightly dry skin, especially in the winter months. This product is scentless, gentle and is a light water based gel moisturiser that has hydration ingredients that helps my skin feel plump throughout the day. At night, i add oil serums underneath to ensure my skin gets the nutrients whilst remaining hydrated throughout the night, and this lightweight gel was the perfect last step to seal in the nutrient and moistures. As i move into summer months, this moisturiser will be a top preference. In deep winter however, i would still opt for a rich cream based moisturiser.

I have combination skin and prefer light weight moisturiser's. This particular water gel absorbs right in and feels cooling on the skin especially in hot weather as in Melbourne lately we have been having some hot days and nights and feels really nice on my face. I think for me it's a product i can use in the cooler months also.

Following the Cetaphil Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser, I used the Gel to lock in moisture and hydration into my skin. I found thatwhilst using these products my skin stayed hydrated and replenished throughout the day and overnight without the need for additional face oils or serums. Perfect for all skin types, especially sensitive skin! I have highly sensitive skin and found this product to be great and no allergies present! Will highly recommend to others!

I used it with the Cetaphil Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser as a quick routine as well as let off a more extensive regimen and found it worked well with my skin. It’s light and absorbs quite well, although there can be a little tackiness left when it’s used on its own. I found the best result was when I used face oil first or mixed a little in to the gel, especially at night when I prefer a heavier moisturiser. I’d say I would always be using Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Water Gel with other products as it isn’t heavy enough for a night cream and doesn’t have any SPF for daytime, that being said I do really like that it is quite lightweight and gentle on the skin

I found that my skin was more hydrated and softer once using this product. The lightweight formula makes it ideal for daytime use especially during warmer days and sits beautifully under makeup There is no scent upon opening and does not cause any irritation This product did not cause any congestion when using and my skin felt like it could breathe Only need to use a small amount too when applying I will continue using this product and would definitely purchase again

The water gel has a thicker, more luxurious consistency (so more of a gel cream than water gel). It combines hyaluronic acid with PGA, both are excellent water binders to help water retention. Therefore, I have always used this gel on top of my toner and hydration serum. This water gel is effective in sealing moisture and provide extra water-binding properties. It is also fragrance free. In terms of texture, it is lovely but I prefer a slightly lighter texture for day use. This cream makes an excellent night cream for dehydrated skin.

First of all, this is unscented product. You don't have to worry about any kind of unpleasant or overpowering smells with this for those of you who are sensitive to strong fragrances. The texture of this moisturizer is really lovely-- it's quite light and feels cool to the touch going on. It is also smooth and very fast absorbing. It did not leave me feeling greasy at all after applying, which is great because in the heat and humidity of the Brisbane summertime weather. Therefore, I have to say that I think this would be a perfect choice for others who have combination/oily skin because it is not a heavy moisturizer and it just soaks right in without leaving any yucky residue behind. Plus, it contains skin-loving ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and polyglutamic acid! In fact, I think that anyone with any skin type could benefit from this moisturizer. To sum it up, it is light, gentle, soothing, absorbent, and of course, hydrating!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Optimal Hydration skin replenishing water gel [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cetaphil Optimal Hydration skin replenishing water gel has very quickly become one of my main nightly routines, whilst it has an interesting texture and sensation on the skin initially and leaves it feeling sticky almost like a face wash that needs to be removed (and I did read the instructions 4 times to make sure it wasn't haha) the next morning my skin felt amazing! It was soft and felt firmer. Uneven textures soon began to appear less visible after a week of using. Due to its texture I do only use it at night time rather than both morning and night but I'm 100% sure if someone was to use it during their morning routine they would not be disappointed with its performance. I have recommend to friends and family to use it

My skin barrier has been impaired and I has experienced sensitivity and dehydration. I felt this gel was a nice lightweight alternative to heavy hydrating creams. The texture is nice and cooling and absorbed well into the skin. My skin felt nicely hydrated throughout the day and night. I would say this is a nice summer day moisturiser option but maybe would prefer something a bit more heavy at night time. My one issue with this product was the scent, something about it was a bit off putting but I did get used to it. I think for the price point it is a great product.

I have always found their products to be accessible, affordable, easy to locate in supermarkets, pharmacies and discount chemists and reliable. The gel moisturiser is clear in colour, fragrance-free, light and cool to the touch, and keeps the skin feeling quenched, hydrated and moisturised all day long. It leaves no sticky or tacky residue. I would definitely purchase this again.

Its has very light gel like texture that absorbs nicely into the skin. I love this one for summer season as it feels really light on skin but keep my skin hydrated through out the day. It sits well under the makeup as well. I love how it makes my skin looks very healthy and plump. Great addition for my dry sensitive skin. The packaging is nice ans sleek. I would prefer this moisturiser in my morning skincare as for night time i prefer a thick moisturiser for my dry skin. I would definitely recommend this moisturiser to keep your skin moisturiser and nourished.

The best bit is the price, at just $20.00 it lasts for ages and is so budget friendly I can afford to keep buying it and it works as good as some of the higher prices gels. It contains hyaluronic acid which plumps and smooths my skin, it’s a great anti ageing product that won’t irritate and doesn’t add any excess oil to my skin. It leaves my skin smooth and soft and has a lovely refreshing cooling feel to it. Cetaphil is a great trusted brand and I would buy this product again and would recommend it

This gentle, hydrating yet light moisturiser is great for dry sensitive skin. It is a great basic moisturiser that is not too light that calms the skin. It works very well with actives such as retinols or acids. The only thing to watch out for is that it may pill under make up. Recommend it as a night time cream. It helps when the skin barrier is compromised and I found that it dries down quite quickly too. The tub seems to last, and a small amount goes a long way. I have tried putting it on both with and without water on my face and feels fine either way. Would recommend this along with the cream to foam cleanser!!

It's easy to apply and a little bit of gel definitely goes a long way. I would love the jar to the bigger, as I love the product so much. Cetaphil is a brand my skin has found to love, it doesn't irritate my skin at all. The skin felt moisturised for over 12 hours with weightless hydration.Once you apply it on the skin you don't feel a thick layer lingering. I love that its fragrance-free and oil-free which doesn't clog pores. Will recommend to friends and family.

I hate moisturising as my skin feels sticky, and I don't enjoy the oily feeling, but the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Skin Replenishing Water Gel is different. Its lightweight, gets easily absorbed into the skin, and leaves my skin feeling hydrated, moisturised and nourished. Only thing I dislike about jar products is that you have to dip your fingers in the tub to het product out. I used a small spatula for mine, but I wished it came with something. Other than that, I will recommend this to anyone looking for a non-sticky day moisturiser, that can be easily worn under making and doesn't leave your skin oily.

The product has gel like consistency and it is fragrance-free. I need a small amount to cover my face and neck. It took some time to absorb into my skin and it does not make my skin greasy or oily. My skin feels soft and hydrated after each use. It keeps my skin hydrated for 6-8 hours. My makeup glides smoothly over this water gel and the longevity of my makeup is not impacted. I have used it for a few weeks and I can see the difference. It has improved the hydration of my skin. The overall texture is also improved, and dry patches are disappeared. My skin is soft, smooth and nourished. Overall, I like this water gel and highly recommend it to dry skin beauties. The only concern is its jar packing, I wish it comes in tube or pump packing.

It has zero fragrance and is light on the skin. It absorbs in quickly which is great if that’s what you’re into. I tend to go for thicker moisturisers as I have very dry skin, but this is good in a pinch. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I personally wouldn’t buy it again as it doesn’t fit my needs. This would be more suited to someone with normal or combination skin; or if you’re just looking for more hydration in addition to your current moisturiser.

I suffer from dry patches on my face and have quite fair and sensitive skin, this product was quite calming and being a jelly like texture was cooling also. The moisturiser was hydrating however I wouldn’t say it’s heavy, and if you’re wanting a really deeply hydrating night cream this probably isn’t for you. I found the texture of the cream quite sticky and when I tried to use in the morning my makeup did not sit well on top of it so I ended up only using it at night. I’m not sure I would buy this again but maybe only as a summer night time moisturiser, during winter my skin would definitely need something a bit heavier.

Highly reccomended for dry and sensitive skin. No fragrance and sits nicely under makeup. Only thing I would change is have it in a tube. Because it is so runny its a bit messy with the tub.

It goes on really nicely and gives the skin a lovely plump, soft and smooth texture. I wear a lot of makeup every day and it was very effective at replenishing my skin after cleansing and it also absorbs really nicely into the skin without leaving a greasy residue. After using this for several days my skin felt more hydrated and appeared more glowy which at newly 40, is a huge bonus. I would highly recommend this product for everyone to try. You won’t be disappointed!

For me, I usually buy more high-end products that have added hyalaronic acid etc. i was surprised how well this worked and used it day and night with good effect. there was no scent which is nice for those whom have sensitive skin. widely available which is great!! cetaphil is a well known brand - so good value here. i liked the packaging and that its recyclable.

With its promise of balancing moisture levels while remaining lightweight, I was eager to put it to the test. After using this product consistently for several weeks, I can confidently say that it's a refreshing quench for your skin. I love that it is Hydrating, non greasy and fragrance free. Its lightweight, non-greasy formula is a blessing for those who crave hydration without the heaviness. While it may not be potent enough for extremely dry skin types on its own, it's an excellent addition to any skincare routine.i love Its ability to adapt to your skin's needs, combined with its gentle, fragrance-free nature, makes it a standout product in the world of skincare. I absolutely love the size which I just 48g which makes it travel friendly, I could pop it in my bag for my night outs and travel. It is a perfect quencher for the summer time which gives you this cooling effect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Skin Replenishing Water Gel for about a month and it is a great incorporation into my skincare and make-up routine. I used it twice a day and it beautifully absorbed into my skin and left it feel very plump and hydrated which was so good coming out of winter. I have some dry patches on my face, and it really cleared them right up. It also sat really nicely under my makeup. It is slightly tacky after drying down which made it a great ‘primer’ as well. Not a huge fan of the open jar where I have put my fingers in the tub, wish it was a pump, but no other issues. Loving the clean feeling from Cetaphil right now!

First of all, this is unscented, as are all of the Cetaphil products that I am aware of. You don't have to worry about any kind of unpleasant or overpowering smells with this for those of you who are sensitive to strong fragrances. The texture of this moisturizer is really lovely-- it's quite light and feels cool to the touch going on. It is also smooth and very fast absorbing. It did not leave me feeling greasy at all after applying, which is great because in the heat and humidity of the Brisbane summertime weather. Therefore, I have to say that I think this would be a perfect choice for others who have combination/oily skin because it is not a heavy moisturizer and it just soaks right in without leaving any yucky residue behind. Plus, it contains skin-loving ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and polyglutamic acid! In fact, I think that anyone with any skin type could benefit from this moisturizer. To sum it up, it is light, gentle, soothing, absorbent, and of course, hydrating! I recommend it and would purchase more in the future!
