General Information

Swisse Retinol 0.1% Clear Skin P.M. Balance Serum improves skin texture, tone, and the appearance of fine lines, while keeping breakouts under control. Designed to be part of your evening beauty routine, this lightweight, fast-absorbing serum combines pure and encapsulated retinol with niacinamide, zinc sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. Continued use reveals a renewed, balanced, and hydrated complexion. Co-developed with a dermatologist and suitable for all skin types, including acne prone.

Directions

For optimal results, apply a small amount (1 pump) to the skin at night after cleansing. Limit initial use to 2-3 times a week and gradually increase frequency as tolerated. For night-time use only.

I have been using this product for roughly 2 weeks, slowly introducing it into my routine to minimise any kind of reaction as my skin is quite sensitive and overall I'm happy. The pump distributes the perfect amount of product for zero wastage. Less is more with retinol, and Swisse nailed that. I enjoy the consistency and texture. It sits well with my other products when I use it in the evening. Mainly, I have noticed some radiance improvements, as I often do when using niacinamide, a key ingredient in the product. I think the combination of retinol, with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid is a beautiful balance that my skin enjoys and will continue using. I am excited to keep using this product and see further improvements.

I have sensitive skin and I had no reactions or issues, my skin is also quite oily sometimes and that was quite manageable using this product. I wouldn’t say i saw huge results but it is definitely a nice product to use.

I haven’t had a break out whilst using the product and it hasn’t left my skin feeling overly dry. Using this product along side my moisturiser has left my skin feeling incredibly hydrated and dewy. I’ve also been heavily applying sunscreen the morning filling the use and haven’t had any issues. Overall I will continue to use this product and would definitely re purchase!!

I would purchase this again. I was also gifted a bottle to try and worth the money for a good product!!

It is hard to find a product that looks after your acne while also give enough hydration to ensure that the skin is not drying out. My skin is combined and mostly oily so I need something that can balance it well. But I am also not a teenager anymore so I need to ensure that my skin is constantly hydrated to prevent early appearance of wrinkles. Retinol 0.1% does it well for me!

Within a few weeks i noticed that my skin was more hydrated after using it. I did notice a slight change in the fine lines around my eyes. The product felt amazing on my skin, it did have an affect on my break outs with new spots clearing up quicker than usual. It didn't leave an oily residue and had no real smell to it. I feel that the balance serum had a positive affect on my skin. Another great product from Swisse!

Designed to help improve skin texture, tone and the reduce the appearance of fine lines, this serum comes in an amber bottle with a pull off lid and an efficient pump. While this starts off with an almost cream-like texture, it thins out sufficiently well when massaged into the skin, and gets absorbed quickly. This contains encapsulated retinol, niacinamide, zinc sulfate and hyaluronic acid, and my skin has definitely loved this! While no stranger to retinol, I have enjoyed this gentle serum, which has the additional benefits associated with other active ingredients and it has helped with keeping my skin looking firm and feeling soft. I like that this doesn’t have an obvious scent and overall, my skin seems to appreciate it. I was given this to review.

Immediately I liked the size and shape of the product, I went on holiday and it fit in my makeup bag perfectly. The scent is mild and not overbearing like other retinols can be, but enough to know it’s there. Easy pump application and I put on at night before bed as I’m in the sun a bit during the day. I felt the product improved my skin texture the most. While I didn’t notice much change to my dark spots, it definitely improved my overall skin appearance and made my skin feel really fresh. Definitely an easy addition to any skincare routine!

I find that the Hyaluronic acid instantly hydrates& plumps the skin. It takes longer to dry out my acne. I’m still continuing using this serum to dry out my whitehead. My fine lines remains the same. I’m hoping my fine lines will be reduced once I finish using this product.

I have followed the instructions and applied one pump after cleansing. It is quite gentle on the skin and absorbs easily. It is not oily or hard to rub on the skin. I think the ingredients do help to keep breakouts and acne away and help hydrate my skin from being in an air-conditioned office during the day. It is water based, so I do feel like that helps my skin absorb the serum. The bottle and pump is good quality and you get a good amount to use each night. I do like this product and would recommend it. I received the Swisse product to review.

My skin did feel plump and smooth after use and I didn't have any redness or sensitivity from the retinol which was good. However, I did not notice any noticeable difference to my fine lines after 4 weeks of use and the pump was a bit stiff so I felt I wasted product when too much came out.

Now I’ve just hit my 40s this product will be continued so I can work on the overall appearance of fine lines. I’ve always wanted to try retinol and it didn’t disappoint. My fine lines have been a lot smoother and overall appearance of my face a lot cleaner. I’m looking forward to continuing this as a regular part of my routine and super affordable too. Nice product with some noticeable results. Either way it feels good to apply and works well with other products.

I noticed a difference in my skin , some of the lines have reduced. I love the serum mostly because its nit like an oil other ones I have tried tend to tingle whereas this is more of a cream also hydrating. My skin is feeling more hydrated and plump with some wrinkles less noticeable after 4 weeks of use. Also love that it has a pump and not a dropper style , always find they stop working and cannot get all the product! Awesome product highly recommend.

My skin has gotten smoother and less oily and haven't noticed any breakouts so far. The serum is easy to apply and absorbs quickly. It doesn't have a strong fragrance, which is a bonus. It contains retinol, which is known to help with signs of aging. The only drawback i can think of, is that it's a bit expensive, but I think it's worth it for the results.

I was skeptical of this product doing anything noticeable to my skin but after about 7 days the dark spots looked lighter after 3 weeks my skin is the most even and clear it’s ever been. So much so people have complimented my skin which never happens.

A decent sized bottle with a heavy feel to it. Smooth and easy pump applicator made it easy to control the amount used. I was using 1-2 pumps to do both my neck and face. I was surprised by the colouring - bright yellow but doesn’t stay this colour on your face or anything it blended right in. I first cleansed my face using my regular cleanser and patted dry, before applying this retinol. It was comfortable to put on. No stinging or irritated skin, as someone who has sensitive skin and rosacea this is really important to me as triggering a reaction is my nightmare! The product itself leaves my skin feeling hydrated, soft to the touch and plump. I have used it regularly over the last two weeks (3-4 times a week) and followed with my regular facial moisturiser. I think there is definitely an improvement in my overall face texture as well as some of the fine lines in my forehead and smile lines. I was lucky enough to be gifted this product to review but I would purchase it again. Great retinol at an affordable price point. I prefer it to the dropper version I have trialled from other brands as this is easy to control the amount and isn’t runny.

This product is a serum it's light weight, fragrance free, easy to dispense and absorbs quickly into the skin. I've been using this continuously as my night time routine, my skin feels more softer, it has some radiance to it which is probably from the hydration and my skin just feels more refreshing in the morning. I've noticed subtle changes in fine lines and my skins texture, for its reasonable price point its a great addition to add into your nightly skin care regime. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and goes not feel greasy at all. The texture is more like a cross between a gel and a cream. I did a patch test first as recommended by the product instructions and then proceeded to use the serum 3 times a week. After the first use my skin felt incredibly soft and smooth, however by the second use there were a few retches of skin that were red and peeling away. I'm not sure if that is expected or not. I received this product from SWISSE to review.
