General Information

Swisse BHA 2% Clear Skin A.M. Balance Serum has been co-developed with a dermatologist to improve skin texture and clarity, and prevent breakouts, thanks to an optimal combination of salicylic and mandelic acid. Hyaluronic acid is also included to provide hydration benefits. Lightweight and fast-absorbing, ongoing use of this serum reveals a smooth and clear complexion. Developed to be part of your morning beauty routine, it is suitable for everyday use and all skin types, including acne prone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for acne and skin texture [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I often have break outs and fluctuations with my skin due to hormonal imbalances and the SWISSE bha 2% clear skin am balance serum has helped with keeping them pesky breakouts under control and has started to improve my skins texture. The formula helps with hydration thanks to the 0.1% Hyaluronic acid within the formula and does not leave a sticky residue like other products on the market. It’s a relief to see that the BHA 2% Clear Skin AM Balance Serum was co-created alongside a dermatologist to help target breakouts and improve the skins texture with the light exfoliation it gives whilst being a gentle enough formula for daily morning use. Initially I used this every second day then lead up to daily morning use to get my skin used to adding a new product into my routine and I can honestly say that I’ve seen such a big improvement and have also introduced the serum into my teenage daughter routine for her teenage acne and her breakouts have also minimised greatly. The BHA 2% Clear Skin AM Balance Serum is such a game changer for skincare and remains Sulphate free Petrolatum free and parabon free so it limits the chance of irritants to the skin. The price point of the serum is also amazing for the results it gives as there’s other products on the market that are substantially dearer to target acne and skin texture. From the very first time I applied it to my new, I knew this was going to be a product I would repurchase. The serum makes my skin feel amazing, it soaks into the skin so it’s not left sticky. You don’t need a lot of product so I feel it will last me a while before my next one. I have acne prone skin. I've noticed a significant improvement in visible redness leaving me with clearer skin in the morning - my pores also look smaller too and less like a mandarin! The lightweight texture absorbs easily, making it suitable for both morning and evening use in my skincare routine (even though it just says AM). After adding this product in over the past month (after cleansing/toning and before moisturising), I really think it made a noticeable difference! My skin felt silky smooth, like the texture had evened out and I didn’t have as much oil on my forehead at the end of the day despite my drier areas feeling hydrated. My skin has been nice and clear since using and I will definitely be keeping as part of my regular routine! I was gifted a product sample to trial and review.

The scent is not strong and easy on the nose, which is a plus. I started using this a week before the time of the month, and usually will get breakouts, but this month, I am pleasantly surprised there isn’t any breakouts since using this serum. I also had to travel few days ago, and the packaging is so light and fit in easily in my toiletries bag. I would definitely recommend using this product.

Iv enjoyed using it as part of my daily skin care routine after cleansing and under makeup. My skin feels soft and clean and not clogged. It applies like gel and absorbed in a matte like finish on my skin. Love that it didn't feel sticky or leave a shine. It has a pretty strong smell that wasn't exactly pleasant but that's the only negative I'd have to add about it. I'd be happy to continue adding it to my daily routine from now.

My T section is my usual trouble area but this serum has cleared my pimples even blocked pimples that were deep under! My skin is smoother and feels dewy and hydrated. I have noticed my pores have slightly minimised with the use of this serum. The product will last ages amazingly you only need a very small amount so it’s great value for money.! (The texture is a little like aloe Vera plant) You do need to let it soak in before you apply make up.

Balance serum I shouldn’t have been. It is quick & easy to apply, no more than 1 minute. It absorbs into my skin quickly and you don’t need a whole lot for a great effect. Like the packaging states, only 1 small pump and that’s all you need. My skin didn’t react to the serum and I noticed a clearing in my face and not breakouts or spots.

The serum dries down quickly and is easy to layer with other products. I have acne prone skin and have tried lots of different products. Although it doesn’t fully treat the acne, it definitely helps prevent new ones forming and helps with the inflammation of current spots. I use it in the morning and before bed. When I started using this product I just came back from a trip. In just a few days I experienced such a drastic difference in my skin texture. I always previously had that feeling of bumpy pores on my nose and this would often build up when I travel. Using this product, cleared that and also made my skin glow a bit more. It’s not heavy on your face either. I found it dried so quickly after application that I was still able to put on my favourite moisturiser afterwards. Serum! 1 pump of the serum covers my whole face which is ideal as the product will last and not run out quickly and it smells amazing! I can often find with other brands that their serums leave a 'sticky' feeling on my skin after applying but the Swisse BHA 2% Clear Skin A.M. Serum doesn't do this. I have been using the skin for over 2 weeks now and feel that my overall skin appears to be improving - everything from the hydration, my complexion, texture and clarity has all improved since using this serum in the mornings. It is very hard to win this battle, however this product seems to work. Only using it for few weeks and my skin is liking it so far. I am Italian, skin is very oily and sometimes dry. This product removes dryness and reduced blackheads especially on nose. Smell is nice and texture is good for a skin looks like a gel. I use it sometimes in the morning and evening, just a little drop to spread on the skin. I will keep using this serum hoping it will clear out my skin. So far so good. Been gifted the serum to try.

Firstly, a little goes a long way, so definitely value for money. When you first apply, the scent does hit pretty strong, but it fades fairly quickly and doesn't linger. When I first used it, it seemed to react with some of my other skincare products and ball up on the skin - though maybe it just wasn't allowing it to sink in properly before applying other products as it seems to be staying on the skin pretty well now. I have used it for the last few days and it sat well under the moisturizer and sunscreen. I have noticed that there's less blockages and pimples outbreak, especially associated with wearing makeup under aircon environment. I have also noticed visible improvement in my skin conditions, and my pores are more refined, and my skin also feels less dry. It's great as a day time serum and i have already recommended to friends with similar skin conditions.

Prior to this my face was always drying out from my combo skin and I’d use thick moisturisers but since incorporating this in the mornings I’ve noticed such an improvement already. I definitely recommend this product and am super happy with the results so far!

Usually I get breakouts in the T-zone of my face but found a notable difference after the 2 weeks of use. The consistency of this product was fantastic, lightweight and smooth. I found it very easy to layer with other skincare products such as my SPF and moisturiser. I did find it moisturising to my face but I think it would be hard to assume this product specifically does this unless I was to not use my own moisturiser. The ingredients used in the serum are specifically targeted at reducing breakouts and it does seem to do this very well!

I started using the BHA serum the day I got back and its now been two weeks and I can definitely say that the serum cleared my skin. However I preferred to use this product at night rather than in the morning as it didn't sit too well with my makeup.
