Swisse BHA 2% Clear Skin A.M. Balance Serum has been co-developed with a dermatologist to improve skin texture and clarity, and prevent breakouts, thanks to an optimal combination of salicylic and mandelic acid. Hyaluronic acid is also included to provide hydration benefits. Lightweight and fast-absorbing, ongoing use of this serum reveals a smooth and clear complexion. It instantly absorbs into my skin and doesn't feel sticky like other serums I have used in the past. My skin does look clearer and hoping it will clear up more with longer use. Definitely recommend!

The scent is nice and non offensive, texture is gel like and spreads evenly and absorbs nicely into the skin. Didn’t think I would like this product or that it would work for me, but I’m genuinely surprised so far with the two weeks of use. Salicylic acid usually dries my skin out more, but this formula has seemingly reduced my breakouts without drying out my skin. Looking forward to how this formula will improve my skin in the long run. Will post an update after 2 months :)

It hasn’t totally cleared up my skin but I have noticed it has helped my skin a little in the last few weeks. I have been using the serum every morning and I find it applies nicely and easily to my skin. It doesn’t feel oily or overly drying and doesn’t irritate my skin like other products have in the past. It isn’t a total game changer but I’m planning to continue using this to see if my skin continues to improve. Overall I personally found this serum lovely to use, hydrating and it has started to work. Looking forward to seeing how my skin progresses in the next few weeks. I struggle with some minor acne and skin texture issues and found that this improved both of those concerns- it also contains Hyaluronic acid which means it didn’t dry out my skin like other products I’ve used for that have in the past. As with any exfoliating products I made sure to keep up my sunscreen usage so would recommend that. The serum also doesn’t feel too sticky - I was gifted the ser to try but I would definitely repurchase especially as it’s at such a good accessible price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had acne prone skin all my life and have textured skin due to this.I started using this product two weeks ago, since then I have noticed my face feels nice and fresh and clean right after I put it on which is nice! It smells nice as well! I did breakout a little bit for a few days which has also cleared up, I have not had any breakouts after that which is promising. I use it every other day just until I feel like my skin can take it. I feel like this is worth trying seeing as that it has all the right ingredients, I have not seen a huge difference in the texture of my skin or my pores but I think using it for a little longer might get me there. My skin has been reacting well to the serum and I’m finding it is looking really fresh and hydrated. Whilst I don’t feel like it made a lot of change to any active breakouts I had when I started using it, I feel like it is definitely preventing breakouts and improving the texture of my skin. I also really love that this product is not tested on animals, just another tick in my opinion!

The package and directions are very clear with the directions of use. The product itself is very lightweight, no over powering smell and leaves skin feeling silky smooth. The only issue I had with the product was with the areas of break out I found the product to dry the area quite significantly, leaving it looking flaky for only and day or so. But I’m saying that it did clear up the area I received this product from SWISSE to review.

It is a good moisturising serum especially in hot weather coz it's not one of those very thick and sticky serums. I got pimples and blackheads. I was expecting it to improve that condition but didn't really see a result. Probably need to use it for longer.. But I'm happy with the moisturising effect.

The fact that I can use this product in the morning is so useful as I already have too many products that have to be used at night. It absorbs into my skin so quickly and sits comfortably under my moisturiser and sunscreen.

When initially using this serum, I found myself using two pumps instead of one as instructed as it was quick to dry on my face. However, after two days, I was able to apply this to my whole face with just one pump. The scent of the serum is quite pleasant and it is fast absorbing once it hits your skin. I have had no breakouts in the two weeks of using this serum. I have not yet seen any visible improvements of my pore appearances but I look forward to this with continuous use.

Since trying out this product, I've notice some improvements. It was not immediately noticeable, but with consistent use, my skin felt less oily and smoother, yet still hydrated. Not quite Hydrating enough by itself, I would still need a moisturiser. It was easily absorbed into the skin, it didn't leave a strange residue. It worked well with other skincare and makeup on top. Overall I'm pretty content with the product.

The packaging is almost identical to their vitamin range so what inexpected was a quality affordable product. As I started to apply this serum I immediately paused. The texture wasnt the norm. It wasn't oily or hard to absorb. It felt like it was bubblying as it lathered my face. It actually felt like it was exfoliating my face without the grainy texture. Really odd, but i loved it. It made my skin tinglesnd then within seeconds it was absorbed. A few seconds later my skin was super soft and smooth to touch. I definitely saw an improvement in my skins texture and pore size a few days later and i honestly skipped the moisturiser step straight after because i just loved the softness of my skin after this serum. My skin is pretty clear & low maintenance, so I don’t need anything too powerful. This serum has been a good addition to my morning routine. A little goes a long way- 1 pump covers my whole face/neck. My skin feels smooth & well hydrated, and doesn’t leave a residue as some serums do. For the price point, I feel it is a decent product, however I can’t say for sure whether it has made a huge difference in 2 weeks- might have to give it longer! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This serum definitely lives up to its description of fast absorbing and lightweight, it actually feels like no other serum i've used before. When i first begun using this serum, i was already breaking out with cystic pimples that were under the skin, and i thought that with the salicylic acid that is in this product, that it would reduce the size of these breakouts. It certainly did. However, when utilising this product it is important to keep in mind that your skin may 'purge' (research this thoroughly), which is what happened to me after consecutive use. The skin simple breaks out small clusters of white pimples when acidic based ingredients are used (such as in this product) - literally to purge the skin from inside, out. It would've been helpful for a disclaimer on this product so that consumers are fully aware this is a potential result. Otherwise, great product to use intermittently.

I started using this product 2 weeks ago and it doesnt leave my face oily, in fact it minimises the oil and balances it out and my skin is more hydrated without the oily feeling. I normally break out around that time of the month when i get my period and its normally like clock work, i got it a couple days ago and i only had 2 breakputs and its normally way more. Definitely satisfied with the results. Highly recommended. I was given this product by Swisse to review and i would recommended for sure.

I did noticed since using it my skin has more colour in it and looks healthier. I haven't seen a reduction of my pores though, they are still quite large. I do adore the smell of this product remind me of mini musk sticks. It absorbs quite nicely and fast. This product is also not sticky. One pump is all you need & it does go along way. It is not thick or heavy either. Love how my skin feels after using this 😍. It works well with other cleansers and moisturisers, had no irritation or problems with using other products over it. I will continue to use this little gem. I highly recommend

When I received this I was half way through the monthly hormonal breakout and this product cut the recovery time in half. this is because most clearing products I have used have left my skin feeling dry. Not this! It has the perfect texture super silky leaving my face looking super shiny and hydrated also a little goes along way. I will admit the smell is super strong and took some getting used to but it is a citrus scent which I would much prefer over a flower scent for my skincare. Overall I would purchase this myself.
