Swisse BHA 2% Clear Skin A.M. Balance Serum has been co-developed with a dermatologist to improve skin texture and clarity, and prevent breakouts, thanks to an optimal combination of salicylic and mandelic acid. Hyaluronic acid is also included to provide hydration benefits. Lightweight and fast-absorbing, ongoing use of this serum reveals a smooth and clear complexion. Developed to be part of your morning beauty routine, it is suitable for everyday use and all skin types, including acne prone.

Directions

For optimal results apply a small amount (1 pump) to the

Balance Serum. I did not experience any issues with this product. I use this in the morning and love how lightweight it is. Breakouts were controlled and prevented as my skin was hydrated. It’s light, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave any sticky residue, which makes it easy to layer with other products. Surprisingly there's no pilling so I was happy with it. It claims to prevent breakouts, and keep acne under control. I already have acne when I first started using the product so I did notice it to calm down faster than usual and overall it was smoother. For the gentle exfoliation, I was worried about my skin feeling irritated or overly dry, but neither of it was a problem when I used this product. There’s a bit of hydration I'm sure as well, enough that my skin didn’t feel tight after applying it. I think this is an effective simple serum that helps with breakouts and refining skin texture.

As I age my skin has become drier which makes my wrinkles and fine lines more noticeable. This product has helped to make my skin more hydrated. I have noticed the texture of my skin has also improved. I will continue to use this product along with the Ceramides B3 Daily Balance Moisturiser as part of my daily routine. Balance Serum 4/5 because it’s a solid addition to my skincare routine. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly, which I really liked—it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy, making it easy to wear under sunscreen and makeup. The 2% Salicylic Acid and 1% Mandelic Acid provide gentle exfoliation, helping to improve skin texture and clarity. I’ve noticed my skin looks smoother, and it seems to help keep breakouts under control. The added Hyaluronic Acid is a nice touch for hydration, so my skin doesn’t feel dry or stripped. Overall, it’s a great everyday serum for acne-prone skin. It left my skin with that glow (not looking oily). It absorbs well and doesn't have a strong smell. However I found if i did not leave it to dry completely (over 30 mins), and applied make up with a sponge, the serum would clump up. However if you let it dry fully, it was totally fine.

While it helped with acne management, I didn’t see a noticeable difference in removing dead skin or refining pores as much as other exfoliants. It’s really lightweight and absorbs fast, which is perfect for my busy mornings. I've seen a huge reduction in breakouts, and my skin tone is a lot more even. The BHA does an excellent job clearing out my pores without drying or irritating my skin. My complexion even looks brighter now, which is such a nice bonus. Plus, it stays really well under makeup, only downside is it does pill a little depending on your moisturizer. If you’re dealing with uneven texture or blemishes, I’d totally recommend trying it out!

Balance Serum for 2 weeks I've received many complements from friends and family on my complexion! This fast-absorbing serum leaves my skin with a soft, gentle feel even before moisturising. It has a soft, powdery, pleasant scent which isn't overwhelming. The Hyaluronic Acid 0.1% in this serum makes my skin feel hydrated like never before. By the end of the day my skin was still as soft as it was in the morning. The Mandelic Acid 1% is a lifesaver for acne breakouts - keeping pesky pimples under control and gone within a few days. Definitely a product I can see myself using more in the future.

However after two weeks of use in the morning after giving my face a clean, I felt my face was a lot less dry and I did not get any spots for those two weeks. It almost felt like the serum was exfoliating the skin. My skin also seemed to not be so greasy after using this serum. This was a lovely serum, which was easy to use from the pump bottle, that smelt and felt nice on my face and did not feel too sticky or greasy. I would certainly use this again.

The texture of the product was a welcome surprise, rather than the usual runny oily serums it has more of a gel like texture that is easy to control on my skin. It absorbs into my skin beautifully without leaving a stick residue. After using the product for a couple of weeks my skin is feeling more hydrated and having a more mature age skin it is certainly a lot clearer. If I had to fault anything I found the pump a little clunky, but it didn’t impair my ability to enjoy the product. Would recommend this product.

It has no scent that I could tell, and spreads around nicely on my over 50yr old skin. It absorbed relatively quickly which fits into my skincare routine well. It's light weight and didn't feel heavy. It didn't cause me any breakouts, which I can sometimes get. I don't know that I noticed a lot of difference in my skin texture, maybe it takes a little longer than 2 weeks. I received this product to try and review.

I noticed it had a thicker consistency compared to other serums I’ve used in the past, and it also felt a bit “sticky” upon application (I find that’s a good thing if wearing under makeup!) However, despite that, I found that my skin stayed well-hydrated throughout the day and had a beautiful, “glowy” appearance, which I really liked. I can’t confidently speak on its “acne-controlling” properties, but I didn’t experience any major breakouts while using it. That said, I do think the gentle exfoliant helped reduce scarring and pigmentation from a breakout I had the week before.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 2 weeks using the BHA 2% Clear Skin, I found that my breakouts were much less prevalent than normal. Usually I get breakouts in the T-zone of my face but found a notable difference after the 2 weeks of use. The consistency of this product was fantastic, lightweight and smooth. I found it very easy to layer with other skincare products such as my SPF and moisturiser. I did find it moisturising to my face but I think it would be hard to assume this product specifically does this unless I was to not use my own moisturiser. The ingredients used in the serum are specifically targeted at reducing breakouts and it does seem to do this very well!

The scent is nice and non offensive, texture is gel like and spreads evenly and absorbs nicely into the skin. Didn’t think I would like this product or that it would work for me, but I’m genuinely surprised so far with the two weeks of use. Salicylic acid usually dries my skin out more, but this formula has seemingly reduced my breakouts without drying out my skin. Looking forward to how this formula will improve my skin in the long run. Will post an update after 2 months :)

It hasn’t totally cleared up my skin but I have noticed it has helped my skin a little in the last few weeks. I have been using the serum every morning and I find it applies nicely and easily to my skin. It doesn’t feel oily or overly drying and doesn’t irritate my skin like other products have in the past. It isn’t a total game changer but I’m planning to continue using this to see if my skin continues to improve. Overall I personally found this serum lovely to use, hydrating and it has started to work. Looking forward to seeing how my skin progresses in the next few weeks.
