General Information

Swisse Skincare Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel is a low-foaming, non-stripping cleanser that helps to gently remove impurities, makeup, and excess sebum. Co-developed with a dermatologist, it is scientifically formulated with salicylic acid and zinc sulfate to reduce the appearance of blackheads, refine pores, and keep acne under control. Skin is left feeling clean and refreshed. Suitable for everyday use and all skin types, including acne prone.

Directions

This cleanser has a pleasant gel texture and light floral smell that feels gentle and calm on the skin while effectively removing impurities. I find that when I use this cleanser the blemish reduces in size and it helps to prevent anymore blemishes from appearing. It's also great for cleansing the skin and removing excess oil without drying my skin. It foams slightly and my face feels so clean and refreshed afterwards. I appreciate that it also helps with maintaining overall skin balance. It's perfect for everyday use and highly recommend it.

Not only was it gentle but it also removed makeup effortlessly and did not strip my skin, instead leaving it feeling clean, refreshed and nourished. It is a light, low foaming gel. This daily cleanser was easy to rinse off and over the two weeks, I have noticed a reduction in my pores and my nose blackheads. The Salicylic acid daily cleanser left my skin feeling soft and clean after each wash and did not leave my skin feeling dry. It has now become my go to cleanser.

It doesn't have a strong smell, and it is super gentle on the skin. It doesn't leave the skin dry or feeling tight either. I use it for double cleansing, and it removes excess oil/sebum from my skin. After a long day at work, skin feels refreshed and clean. I am really happy this zinc component worked for my acne and did not irritate me. Additionally, it worked well as part of my existing routine and was affordable.

The cleanser came in gel format, that foamed well and didn't feel too dry when i use it after removing my makeup. It left my skin feeling nice and clean, and not overly dry. I have noticed my skin feel less clogged and there is better control over excess sebum my skin produces, especially overnight. My skin is also more brighter and tone is more even with continued use, followed by my normal toner, serum and moisturiser.

I like that it's a low foaming cleanser, so I felt like it didn't strip my skin. I noticed my pores were more refined and it removed makeup and sebum well. I only had to use 1 to 2 pumps to cleanse my face after wearing makeup, and my skin felt clean and refreshed. I value that it's formulated without petrolatum, parabens and not tested on animals.

I have used plenty of cleansers in my time and this has to be up there with my high end ones. The smell is amazing and using this for make up removing is amazing. It stripped away every bit of make up on my skin without having to use any product before to take of my makeup. After using the cleanser my face felt fresh, clean and hydrated whereas some cleansers strip so much oil away from my face it’s a horrible feeling. I have really bad acne scaring on my chin and realised a significant difference in the appearance of them blemishes. I have already purchased another top up for myself and got my sister into it! This product was given as an incentive.

I’ll first start with the packaging, it’s sleek and I love how you have a stopper to allow the product to be closed. The information on the bottle is informative enough for you to make the decision if this could be right for you. The smell of this product is really good- I’m not one who loves strong fragrance and this is just enough, it smells clean and fresh. I will say a small amount goes a long way meaning it’ll last you for awhile. It lathers well and doesn’t hurt the eyes. I used this every other day along with my 1% retinol and have found a difference in my skin. It hasn’t dried out my skin and made it irritable. I’m very surprised by swisse skin care! I would re purchase. This review is of my own opinions, I was given this product to trial.
