General Information

Swisse Skincare Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel is a low-foaming, non-stripping cleanser that helps to gently remove impurities, makeup, and excess sebum. Co-developed with a dermatologist, it is scientifically formulated with salicylic acid and zinc sulfate to reduce the appearance of blackheads, refine pores, and keep acne under control. Skin is left feeling clean and refreshed. Suitable for everyday use and all skin types, including acne prone.

Directions

For optimal results, apply 1-2 pumps to the face avoiding the eyes and lips. Massage and rinse thoroughly. Suitable for day and evening use.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gentle cleanser! I have been using this cleanser for a few weeks now and am really liking how gentle and effective it is at cleansing my face. I have quite sensitive, rosacea prone skin so I'm always wary of trying new cleansers but this was super gentle and left my skin feeling soft, clean and refreshed. I've noticed improvements in my skin texture and tone, especially over the summer months where I usually get a build up of sweat and sunscreen. The texture is quite light and the smell is pleasant. I will definitely keep using this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive been using cleansers for a very long time and can confirm that it is very difficult to find one that does what it is supposed to do. Upon first application I didn’t notice any difference if anything my skin felt like it was being stripped away from its oils. I did continue to use it and on the 5th day I instantly picked on some differences in my skin. I have enlarged pours on cheeks which indeed shrink this viable on my make up application. The cleanser claims that it removes makeup however, I did have trouble using it as a make up removing cleaner and would never it in that direction. I am definitely astonished with its ability to reduce and practically eliminate the sebum on my chin, as I said I have used one too many cleansers in my time and none seem to do that trick. Overall, after 2 weeks of constant use I can verify that my skin has had a transformation, I am beyond impressed with the freshness aftermath and I’ve already bought another two for back up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have just started using the Swisse Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleanser and I am really liking how my skin is feeling. I have sensitive skin, and have found the product is gentle, yet effective at cleaning my skin and removing makeup from the day. I love the pump bottle. So easy to get the product out and it smells so good! The formula is like a gel consistency out of the bottle and feels really nice going on the skin. I struggle to find cleansers that don’t strip my skin of moisture but this one has been really good so far! I love this clean skin feeling.

I have super dry skin and love that this was able to cleanse my skin without make it feel stripped and uncomfortable. I've also been dealing with a lot of blackheads lately and this has been great and helping keep my skin clear and reduce the appearance of my pores. The product is highly effective but didn't strip or dry out my skin which makes in gentle to use everyday. The only reason this product didn't get 5 stars is that I still preferred to wash my makeup off in the first instance using a face cloth as I felt like I was wasting too much product relying on the cleanser alone. However, once the bulk of makeup was wiped off and then cleanser used - this became the perfect daily cleanser to minimise breakouts and clogging within my skin!

It was difficult to remove eye makeup with the cleanser but aside from that I noticed my skin was brighter and more hydrated than it was previously. I didn't have any new breakouts despite generally having sensitive skin and the product didn't burn or cause irritation. I have oily skin so often find my pores clog easily and quickly but with this cleanser my face looked less oily and felt cleaner especially if using at night.

The scent is light and gentle. Good for someone has sensitive nose/smell. I have big pores issue, I don’t see any significant improvement yet but I guess pores problems are always difficult to resolve or even just a tiny improvement, will give it more time to come to conclusions on pores issue.

That was a little disappointing, however it smelled great and my skin felt so clean after use (prior to me removing makeup first!) I didn't get any breakouts whilst using this product. I enjoyed using the product over the past few weeks and will continue to do so but would love it if you could add makeup remover into the cleanser. I received this product from Swisse to trial.

I have naturally dry skin and I’m always on the hunt for a product that doesn’t feel like it’s stripping my skin even further. This product I can feel like cleansing and refreshing my skin but not leaving it completely stripped dry. My skin felt clean after using and I was able to remove all of my makeup. For daily use it’s great it feels gentle but I can see it’s able to remove any excess oils or dry skin from the surface.

My skin is combo and more on the dry side, it does often suffer breakouts and is quite sensitive aswell. Straight off the bat this product doesn’t have much of a scent which was a big tick. It didn’t irritate my skin at all. It foams up beautifully and I found it removed most of my makeup aswell. I haven’t found my skin had any major breakouts while using this product either which is a massive win! I will definitely be re purchasing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main thing I look for in a cleanser is feeling clean, without makeup/dirt/etc, without feeling stripped! And I can confirm, the Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel does just that! Balance is true - I suffer from hormonal breakouts and more recently, dry patches, and this has kept the acne at bay and not further dried out my skin. I enjoy the gel texture and the pump bottle (hate having to unscrew a lid and put it back on). I feel refreshed, clean, balanced - OH and as a bonus, it smells soooo good! Like a day spa, which makes me feel happy and relaxed in my morning routine! I also reccomend pairing with the B3 moisturiser - they've been working a treat together!
