General Information

Swisse Skincare Salicylic Acid Daily Balance Cleansing Gel is a low-foaming, non-stripping cleanser that helps to gently remove impurities, makeup, and excess sebum. Co-developed with a dermatologist, it is scientifically formulated with salicylic acid and zinc sulfate to reduce the appearance of blackheads, refine pores, and keep acne under control. Skin is left feeling clean and refreshed. Suitable for everyday use and all skin types, including acne prone.

Directions

I found it perfect to remove my makeup and I only needed 1 pump to lather it and remove all my makeup off including mascara which tends to be a little difficult sometimes. I haven’t noticed much of a difference in terms of pore appearance or prevention of breakouts, however it does leave my skin feeling refreshed and clean. I tend to dislike fragrance, however the scent wasn’t too bad and it wasn’t overpowering. I’ve only been using this cleanser for a few weeks now, but I’ll be trialing it for longer as I’d like to see more results as I’m looking to improve breakouts and blemishes.

It has a lovely clean cucumber like scent reminding me of a spa. It is a very lightweight moistiser which has its pros and cons. I like that it absorbs quickly but i tend to like more heavy hydrating creams. So sometimes i will apply it twice to double layer. I havent noticed a big difference or change in my skin for blemishes. However, i have noticed less pimple outbreaks since using this product.

I have seen no breakouts since using this product and have not had any issues with feeling dry or washed out after using. The packaging is nice with an easy use pump action bottle. No overbearing fragrance which is a preferred option for me. It’s not A product that foams particularly which is usually something I look for. I would recommend this product and would wait for it to go on sale before purchasing again.

I didn’t mind the scent, however found it to be a little bit strong. I only get breakouts, so can’t really comment on how effective it is at managing acne. It is however a really good cleanser overall, even if you don’t have acne-prone skin. It wasn’t drying in any way and my skin felt good after using it. I’d be happy to recommend this product.

I mostly use cleansing gel to remove eye makeup and mascara. This cleansing gel would remove my makeup in one wash of my face whilst still being gentle. The bottle is a pump that comes with a clip to lock it so i can take it with me when I travel which is a huge plus. While I do like the product I was a little surprised by the price point.

It has made my skin feel very soft & supple. It has not broken me out at all which some new products I find usually do. The only downside to this product for myself is the texture is quite different to what I would normally use, especially to remove my makeup in the shower, but I am now used to the texture and it’s fine! I will keep using it until it’s finish, been loving the effects

It’s lightly fragranced but the smell isn't offensive, and it only lasts while you're actively cleansing. I'm not sure it has necessarily helped my acne any, while my breakouts come to a head faster, I am still consistently breaking out. Overall, it’s a nice, gentle cleanser that I think would be a really good option for someone starting out on their clear skin journey.
