General Information

Swisse Blemish Remedy Fast Acting Drying Lotion is a targeted, triple-action anti-acne treatment designed to provide rapid breakout relief and help clear the skin. It is expertly formulated with active levels of sulfur, salicylic acid, and zinc oxide to tackle stubborn acne spots, minimise redness, and prevent new breakouts by gently exfoliating the skin and unclogging pores. Co-developed with a dermatologist, it can be used on the face, chest or back to target even difficult breakouts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a quick fix I tend to get blemishes and pimples pop up out of nowhere and always at the worst times. I love this Swiss blemish remedy lotion. I apply it directly to my spots and it feels like it's working straight away. It massively reduces the redness and swelling to make them stand out less and after a day or so clears it all right up. As someone who just gets breakouts of just a few spots it's perfect, I'm not too sure how it would go if you were prone to full face breakouts. Would highly recommend and will be buying again (although I won't have to for a while as a little goes a long way!) I received this product from SWISSE to review.

I love how this product is super easy to use, applying it with a cotton tip also meant I could keep my hands clean afterwards. I have used a similar product in the past but what I liked about this one was when I used it overnight it actually stayed on my face rather than crumbling off or transferring to my pillow so that’s a big win for me. Although the smell isn’t pleasant, it is tolerant as long as you don’t use too much of the product. I noticed after a couple of days of use that my pimples were definitely smaller and dried up. I will continue to use this product as it worked well for me. I like the clear packaging too so I can easily see how much product is left and see where my cotton is collecting the product from. I found the product did not have an unpleasant odour like similar products I have used of this nature. This product dried quickly on my skin and was easy to apply- similar products I have used in the past I found tended to "run" when applied but Swisse Blemish Remedy did not. I found the amount needed was not much as it spread easily over the blemish, so a small bottle will last awhile! I did find a noticeable difference on my blemishes when using this product in a rapid time frame. The only reason I will not give this product 5 stars is I found the sediment settled quickly and I really had to shake the bottle between uses. The product also left stains on my skin until I removed it. I was gifted a sample of this product to trial and review.

I sometimes get small hormonal breakouts around my t-zone and i found that this drying lotion really zaps the puss away. I put this product onto clean dry skin before bed and when i wake up the pimple is pretty much gone! It prevented me from picking my pimples and made the healing process a lot quicker. I just used a a-tip to get the pink product off the bottom and dapped it directly on the pimple. I wouldn’t use this every single night as it get really dry/irritate your skin so definitely only use it as a topical and short term fix.

Every girl’s nightmare is having pimple. There is nothing worse when you plan for a date night with your love one and to discover a pimple, right there on your forehead. Well, luckily I had this lotion to try. I applied only a tiny amount on a cotton pad and placed it on the pimple. I left it overnight and it was gone the next day. It also minise skin redness and prevent new breakout. So Ive been applying it as part of my skincare routine

I used it overnight as the last step to my skincare routine and applied it with a cotton tip. As someone who suffers with cystic hormonal acne I will say that this product is better suited to whiteheads and blackheads as I found that this product didn’t do as well of a job on those painful under the skin pimples, but it still did help to lower the inflammation. You need a cotton tip to get to the bottom of the bottle to get the pink coloured product. It works very fast at drying out pimples but it did sting quite a bit upon application. The one down side is with drying the pimple out your skin in that area becomes quite dry also so make sure you follow up with a good moisturiser. I received this product from SWISSE to review

Once I put it on my blemishes I barely even noticed it was there and I most definitely couldn't feel it. It is very easy to apply and the instructions on the bottle are super easy to follow. It worked wonders on my pimples (and upcoming pimples) reduced redness and made me feel less conscious about my skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Plenty of powerful ingredients and it definitely seems to do the job drying up those big stubborn bumps! I definitely saw a reduction in swelling and inflammation within a couple hours of applying it. The downside of this product is that it's not easy to use. You need to let it settle first, and then dip in a cotton bud to retrieve the product from the bottle. I'd also imagine you shouldn't double dip and contaminate it. This isn't an issue if you keep it on a shelf but does make it difficult if you have it in a bad or are travelling with it. It also has a chalky pink colour, so not ideal to use if you're about to head out. I received this product from SWISSE to review.

Firstly don’t shake the bottle and use an ear bud to get some product at the bottom. I put it on before bed and noticed in the morning the redness was gone. Some large spots I had to apply several times but it was easy to do and then you can just wash any residue off your face. I noticed is dryed out the flare ups. Overall happy with the product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product when applied dries well and actually stays put, I prefer to wear it overnight and it won't flake off and rub all over my sheets. Great fresh smell and it did seem to dry out some of my blemishes, or bring the gunk to the surface and speed up the pimple cycle. I would love it if I didn't need to use a cotton bud each time as this is wasteful, the ideal formula would be application with fingers and as the formula needs to settle, it's not great for travel.

This product comes in a glass bottle / jar. It’s quite little and cute looking. But note it is in a glass jar so be sure not to drop it on the floor and my bathroom is tiled. The product separates into two, a pink and thicker solution down the bottom and a watery solution on the top. I feel like the product does help to dry out the pimples that have come out and it shrinks and dries it out. But for the pimples that are under the skin, it does not really do anything to it. I also had some broken skin and when I applied this product on it, it stung.

Usually my pimples that are under the skin are really big, red and swollen looking so it doesn’t do anything for that. It also stings if the pimple has slightly popped by itself so that was a little painful. The pink solution also stays on my skin so it leaves a residue so best not to apply this on your face before you head out the door. Overall, it works for some pimples and it does help to dry the big and raw pimples.

It did help reduce redness and size of my pimple. It has a strong chemical smell and is bright pink. It is a bit messy to use and the consistency is odd. I think if it came in a dropper or as a cream it would be more efficient.

Sulphur and zinc help to reduce inflammation, redness and spots related to acne. The lotion goes on quite wet and dries quickly, leaving the spot well covered while the ingredients work their magic. The smell may be a little off putting to some, but worth the minimisation of acne appearance. Used as a spot treatment on 1 or 2 hormonal spots, I found it to help reduce redness, severity and healing time of the spots I covered. I have used a similar product from other brands in the past, and it’s great that there is finally an affordable and accessible alternative on the market. I didn’t notice much difference in quality compared to other brands, but the product wasn’t as fast acting as others. I saw a difference in the size and inflammation of the breakouts during the week, but not overnight. I would still recommend picking this up when you can, as other people’s skin may react differently!

It is targeted blemish relief, helping to relieve and remove blemishes as they appear. I wish the packet didn't suggest cotton buds as I like to avoid single-use products, but I was able to use it really effectively with my reusable silicon beauty swab instead. You do have to make sure that the product is settled in its jar before applying, so it wouldn't work great if it's sitting in your beauty bag and getting knocked about. It applies easily and dries really quickly. It dries a pale pink and doesn't smudge onto pillows while sleeping with the product overnight.
