Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely shampoo and conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Dermaveen Hair + Scalp Extra Hydration Shampoo and Extra Hydration Conditioner were really nice products to use on my hair. Used together they made my hair feel softer and smoother even after their first use. I felt like my hair was easier to manage after it was washed using the shampoo and conditioner. My scalp is sometimes prone to dryness and itchiness, but I noticed it certainly did not feel that way after using these two products. My scalp felt more natural. The shampoo and conditioner didn’t have a particular nice smell but as they are both fragrance free this explains why. I liked that both the shampoo and conditioner were paraben free and vegan friendly.

I never used to suffer from dry scalp but with hormones changing in my body, my hair and scalp felt frizzy and dry. I was my hair every 1-3 days depending on if I sweat so I would say it has been a decent time to try this product out! It lathers nicely too and leaves a soft oats scent.

It’s really gentle and doesn’t give that squeaky-clean, stripped feeling—just soft, clean hair that still feels hydrated. No residue, just a nice, natural smooth finish. Only downside is a bit of frizz on humid days, but overall, it’s been a game-changer for my sensitive scalp. Would definitely recommend for anyone dealing with dryness or irritation!

While it is gentle and soothing on my sensitive scalp, I found a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, the scent is quite plain and unremarkable, I prefer shampoos with a more pleasant fragrance. Secondly, the shampoo doesn't lather up as much as I would like. I often feel like I need to use more product to get a thorough clean, which isn't very economical. My dandruff did start to return while using this, and my hair became oilier quicker. On the positive side, it does leave my hair feeling soft and hydrated.

While it did soothe some of the itchiness, I didn’t notice a huge improvement in flakiness or overall hydration. It’s definitely gentle, which I appreciate, but I was expecting a bit more relief. The shampoo has a nice creamy texture and lathers just enough without feeling harsh. The conditioner is lightweight and easy to rinse out, though I wish it were a little more nourishing. After washing, my hair felt clean but not overly soft, and at times, there was a slight residue if I didn’t rinse really well. Over time, my hair felt a bit smoother, but not dramatically different. It’s a solid option if you have a sensitive scalp and want something mild and fragrance-free, but if your hair is on the drier side, you might need something more moisturizing. Would I recommend it? Maybe,if you’re looking for a super gentle formula that won’t irritate your scalp. But if you’re after deep hydration, this might not be the one.

It seemed to suck every bit of moisture out of my hair as soon as it was applied and turned my hair into matted straw. I couldn't get my fingers through it. The conditioner counteracted it, and softened my hair to make it manageable. I've had a small area of my scalp that has been itchy for a while and this has definitely subsided. I've continued to use the conditioner as this alone has stopped the itching; the shampoo is just too harsh on my hair to continue.
