General Information

Nourishing dry oil with an AHA ester to remove dry, flaky skin. The result? Hydrated, strengthened and smooth skin with a non-sticky, satin finish.

The dry skin experts at BIODERMA have formulated the first dry body oil with the benefits of AHA. With a two-tiered action on rough, dry and scaly skin, Atoderm 2-in-1 Oil works on the surface and deeply within the skin to smooth and strengthen. Containing just 13 ingredients, it has the perfect balance between luxurious sensoriality and high dermatological efficacy, providing lasting hydration and immediate comfort without a greasy or sticky finish.
• Jojoba and karanja oils combined with ceramide 3 and squalane provide the skin with biomimetic lipids to intensely moisturise and strengthen the skin barrier.
• AHA malic acid ester regulates surface skin shedding associated with dry, scaly skin. The gentle effect of this AHA ester means the skin texture is smoothed without irritation, resulting in a soft and satiny touch.
• Dry touch finish provides the ability to immediately dress after application with no sticky feeling or the risk of staining your clothing. This is thanks to a polymer of plant origin that balances the nourishing power of the oils by making them easier to spread and giving the texture a light touch.

Directions

Warm a few drops in between your hands. Gently massage into slightly damp skin using circular motions. Concentrate on the driest and flakiest areas of the body. Dress immediately after application.

I haven't used many dry oils before and now I'm convert on this one - my skin feels so soft, yet not oily at all. There's so many nourishing ingredients that my skin is desperate for in the winter where my skin becomes so dry. The AHA helps to exfoliate which is fabulous since I find physical exfolients really harsh on my skin which tends to be sensitive in winter. The fragrance is barely there yet still gives you that luxe vibe.

Trust me when I say, it most definitely did. The bioderma oil seeped into my skin and didn’t leave any oily residue on my skin, I saw a difference overnight. I use this oil all over my body and it will be a product I will repurchase. Only downside is that I went through the product quite quickly considering I used it all over my body, for the price, this might just be my winter oil. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect everyday product This product provided the perfect everyday moisture level for my mature skin, which is usually quite dry and flaky. I used it daily on just damp skin fresh from the shower, a small amount provides good coverage and I noticed the difference from the first use. My skin was visibly more hydrated and firmer, and after a few days not flaky whatsoever and this effect lasted the full time to next shower. There was no issue wearing clothes straight after, no greasy feeling and no smell that interfered with perfume. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was that I would have preferred a pump pack mechanism rather than a lid you have to take off to pour. I received this product from Bioderma to review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pleasant scent and easy to apply I have never used body oils before because I have always thought they would be too rich and greasy for my skin but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product was very easy to apply and absorbed instantly without leaving greasy marks on my clothing. I did notice that it had quite a dry feeling as I rubbed it on my skin but it was nourishing and hydrating and I felt my skin had a nice smoothness to it after using it. It has a very pleasant scent. I would recommend it to people who haven’t used a body oil and would like to try one. I received this product from Bioderma to review.

So I was really looking forward to trying this product and seeing if it made a difference and I was really happy with the result, my skin was so much smoother, brighter and hydrated, even with spending all day indoors with the heated dry air. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Skin felt nourished and moisterised all day Love the fragrance of this oil. So pretty and feminine. The application of this oil felt odd at first, the whole idea of a dry oil I think. But it really is! It's non greasy and I was able to dress immediately after. My skin felt nourished and the oil improved the dry flaky skin on my shins. What was also amazing about this oil is that my skin still felt soft and moisterised at the end of the day. So the oil has a lasting effect too. Unlike other body lotions I've used where the lotion just disappears. I checked out the ingredients and in this day and age when so many products have nasty chemicals in them, this oil had loads of amazing antioxidants and vitamins that support great skin health. The only negative I would say, is the bottle opening. I felt that I tipped too much out. Which is a positive in reality because you don't need to use much oil for a large area! I was given this product from Bioderma to trial.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glowing skin! I’m a huge fan of body oils. Because i have dry skin i like how the oil really absorbs into my skin leaving it soft and subtle all day long. I incorporated this body oil into my morning routine and found it worked really well at hydrating my skin and didn't leave an oily or sticky feeling after. It really does what it says. It leaves you with velvet touch skin and i saw an improvements in my overall complexion and texture. I did take a star off for the price. It tends to be a tad expensive as i have tried other brands offering similar body oils at a lower price point. However when on special it’s worth it.

It goes on as an oil and quickly dries so there is no stickiness or very little residue so I can get dressed immediately. I have been loving this through winter to keep my body hydrated and nourished without feeling sticky. It's kept dry scaly skin at bay. I also love that it's easy and quick to apply and I do it post shower. Would be perfect for summer too. Only negative is I go through the bottle quickly as it disperses a lot of product. Then I read the directions to use it on slightly damp skin and really started to see the difference. It got absorbed really quickly without leaving any grease on my skin and kept my skin moisturised. I’m quite time poor being a mum of two so this product had multiple benefits that my skin really benefited from. After a week my skin felt hydrated and smooth and was able to see the benefits. No need for multiple products as this wonder does it all- exfoliates and rejuvenates dry skin. Also being oil it doesn’t stain the clothes which is what I’m also conscious of. The oil smelt divine and was easily absorbed into my skin without leaving any greasy residue. My skin felt much better after using the oil over several weeks. My skin looked visibly better, felt a lot less rough, was a lot less dry than usual and a lot smoother. It is a versatile oil as it can also be used on your face as well as your body. I also liked the fact it contained natural ingredients. This oil was a great addition to my skin care routine.

It surprisingly does not leave an oily residue once absorbed and can be used all over my body. A little bit goes a long way so you get value for money. I have sensitive skin and had no reactions to this.

The scent is very light, which I like. It doesn't interfere with perfume. It instantly hydrates my skin and really lasts. I haven't tried it on my face, only my body. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the oil consistency is a little hard to use - I feel like it's going to pour out of my hand before I can get it on the skin. Typically, I usually use a moisturizer or body lotion as opposed to body oil. This product fits well into my routine as its used the same way. The oil is lightweight and spreads easily, making application simple and quick. However, because of its light texture, I sometimes find myself using more product than expected to achieve the desired level of moisturization. The oil has a very subtle yet pleasant scent, which is a plus for those who prefer products without strong fragrances. While it performs well and leaves my skin feeling comfortable and hydrated, the price point is on the higher side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cure for dry winter skin I was a little sceptical about using a moisturising oil but I have been pleasantly surprised by the Bioderma Atoderm 2 in 1 Dry Body Oil. It has a lovely soft fragrance, and a little definitely goes a long way. I was impressed by how quickly it absorbs into your skin, leaving it feeling re-hydrated and silky smooth. It has definitely helped my skin recover from winter dryness. I like to pop it on straight after my shower when my skin is still warm to help with the absorption. The only downside is it can be a little messy to pour out of the bottle, maybe some kind of pump or dropper would help? I received this product from Bioderma to review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keep your tattoos looking fresh and new I suffer from dry skin during the cooler months and this leaves my skin flaky, itchy and looking gross. I also have quite a few tattoos that look faded and old when my skin is suffering dryness. I find traditional moisturisers can leave my skin feeling sticky and don't absorb well, so i was keen to try this body oil as I've never used one before. I was so surprised how little went a long way, it not only helped to give my skin a softness and shine but brought color back into my artwork. I loved the subtle fragrance that was pleasant but not overpowering. I'm converted!

This product feels amazing on my skin and is perfect especially during the cooler months when my shower is probably too hot for my skin meaning I really have to work hard at keeping my skin looking and feeling good. I applied the oil after my shower every night. It absorbs immediately into the skin and feels luxurious. I really love the feel of it once on my skin, but personally I don't like the messiness of an oil. I found that it was dripping on to the floor times, resulting in more cleaning and slipperiness underfoot and at this price point, I would have to consider whether or not it is a product I would want to use all the time as I have used creams that I think do just as good a job, for about half the price. Most leaves an oily layer of residue on my skin, making it uncomfortable and makes my clothes stick to my body, and marks on where I sit, especially in bed. But this surprisingly doesn't do that. It is absorb into my skin very quickly and doesn't really leave much of a layer on the skin. In saying that, doesn't mean the oil was too thin or watery. It doesn't have the very oily feel when you rub it in during application but it is still so moisturising. I have really dry skin especially on my hands and heel during the winter months. This was an instant relief and stayed moisturise till the next day. Because it feels so light, I continue using well into the warmer months without issue. I personally did not like the feeling of the oil on my hands when rubbing it on to my legs. Although the product page says non-greasy, it felt greasy to me. I do feel that it absorbs quickly, so the oily feeling doesn't last long, but I don't enjoy the application process. I have given the product three stars as I do feel like it lives up to its claims of nourishing your skin and making it softer. The smell is pleasant, not too over-powering. However, due to the oily feeling, I'm not sure if the benefits outweigh moisturising products enough to switch. I received this product from Bioderma to review.
