1. What is a hair cuticle?
The hair cuticle is the outermost part of the hair shaft. It's comprised of overlapping cells that resemble fish scales. It's there to protect the inner layers of your hair (like the follicle) from damage and provides shine.

My hair needed some TLC and after trying the range my hair was left super soft, glossy and overall looks healthy. The range has a sweet scent and I am here for it. I secretly loved a hair range with a nice scent and this one in particular made me feel like I was at a salon. After double shampooing, conditioner, 5 minute laminate and leave in serum, my hair is looking it’s best. The scent of the range lingered for a few days after and couldn’t get over how soft and shiny my hair is. After a few weeks use my hair feels stronger and it lasts a lot longer between washes. The sparkly pinky pearly texture of the solution just gives girly pop vibes! So adorably and cute! The entire ranges packaging definitely suites the solution since all the products have similar sparkly textures, except the conditioner. The packaging gives 2000’s girly vibes. It’s pretty and cute! It’s not a large package so I don’t know if it’s worth the price tag. The 4 step process is long but the shampoo is one of the quickest steps! The lather was very foamy and the smell was so nice and sweet~ not overpoweringly sweet!

I have been using it every 3rd day. I have classic length, wavy and frizzy but straight undyed hair and rarely use heat. I have absolutely LOVED using these products and will be repurchasing! My hair was straight for a long time, and in the last few months has turned more wavy and frizzy, I assume due to hormonal changes. I was missing my easy to tame hair so much, and these products brought it back for me fully!! The shampoo has a nice floral scent, is light pink and is pretty thick when using. I left all 3 of the shower products in for 5+ minutes each, each time I used them, then the leave in as well. Once I air dried my hair, it is always so much softer, shiner and just looks overall better. My dead ends look more sealed and looks healthier compared to using most other shampoos and conditioners. For a supermarket brand with a decent price over all the products, this will definitely be one of my new go to ranges!! I tend to have 2-3 different ranges at a time as my hair responds better to a variety of products.

I have very dry thin curly hair that is a nightmare unless filled with curl cream and mousse and this shampoo is so silky soft and washes all the products out instantly. You only need a small amount and it foams up so thick but feels like conditioner in your hair. It is honestly amazing at hydrating and cleaning my hair. It's such an odd feeling for my hair to feel so good after just shampoo. I'm in love with the whole range. The only odd downside to the shampoo is it makes the shower floor slippery as if you have used conditioner but it's not bad.

I can't speak on how this would compare to a professional gloss treatment as I have never had one, however I am very pleased with the results and would not feel the need to seek out a professional gloss treatment when i could just use this routine. I have straight hair of a medium thickness and will definitely continue to use this range and would recommend to others with a similar hair type. The shampoo comes out in a nice light pink colour and smells nice and sweet, it is easy to use and massage into my hair and on my scalp before rinsing it off. This shampoo is sulfate free and does not generate much foam, and is easy to rinse off leaving a nice clean feel with a sweet scent. My hair also does not feel weighed down after using this range. After using the full Glycolic Gloss range (Shampoo, Conditioner, 5 Minute Lamination, and Leave-in Serum), my hair looks and feels better than ever, and is no longer dull. It feels super soft and lightweight, looks healthy and glossy and also smells nice and sweet. Loving the at-home glossing routine, bringing new life to my hair.

It was very strong and fragrant whilst using it but wasn't overpowering once you are out of the shower and the hair is dry. I also loved how easily it frothed up and made it feel like I was getting a really good clean. The first time I definitely overestimated how much product I needed and adjusted this for the next time. My hair dried quite well and felt nice and soft, especially when paired with the leave in serum. Loved this range! I thought the nice pop of pale pink on the product packaging was really cute and it was easy to open and close the container.

My hair has been very dull and porous from many years of colouring. I loved how easy it was to use and how it made my hair feel so much smoother and it looked so much more healthier. It smells amazing and made my hair shine and have life again. The bottles look really nice in my bathroom and the whole process from start to finish was very manageable. I love that none of these products are tested on animals. Highly recommend giving it a go if you have dull and porous hair like I did.

Because of that I always shampoo my hair twice with two different shampoos, the second being a clarifying shampoo. That's why I was super excited to try this glycolic gloss shampoo because I've heard the glycolic acid helps to remove build up and and restore hydration. Over the few weeks that I've been using it, I have noticed that it's decreased dandruff significantly and my scalp is barely itchy anymore. Super keen to continue implementing this into my usual hair-washing routine!

Despite being sulphate-free, it foamed effectively and left my hair feeling clean and refreshed. After using this shampoo in conjunction with the Glycolic Gloss conditioner and 5-minute laminate, my hair was noticeably shinier, softer, and glossier, with these effects lasting until the next wash. I even received compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looked, and how amazing it smelled!. This product gives the fresh out of the salon shine and I would definitely re-purchase the product, however probably only when it’s on special due to how much product i use for my long hair. Overall, a fantastic product for anyone looking to add a bit more shine to their life + give life to dull or dehydrated hair .

I love the smell of this shampoo, its beautiful. It is a lightweight shampoo that leaves my hair soft while reducing the frizziness. Everyone has commented on how shiny my hair is since using it too! I highly recommend using the Glycolic Gloss Shampoo with the Glycolic Gloss Conditioner, the Glycolic Gloss Lamination Treatment and serum for maximum results. Even purchasing as a set, these Glycolic Gloss products are budget friendly. I highly recommend and will definitely be buying again!

My hair has needed some extra TLC and shine. I was very happy to see that it is sulphate free and contains glycolic acid. Repairing the hair fibres and quality. It is such an affordable price and very convenient to purchase. The treatment seals the fibres helping with the smoothness up to 10 shampoos. Pink is my favourite colour, the colour of the shampoo is a shiny pink, with a beautiful fruity, floral scent. It is a very easy process to use, and I love pampering my hair. So far I am very happy with the results. My hair feels and looks revived, smooth and healthy!

I exercise most mornings of the week and therefore have to wash my hair regularly. I have found this shampoo to do wonders for the shine of my hair. It also feels as if I'm treating my hair gently even though I'm washing it so often. It seems easier to style afterwards which is helpful in the morning rush with young kids. The L'Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss Shampoo smells beautiful (grapefruits maybe?), feels silky and creamy, and is lovely to use. It feels luxurious to be honest and I will continue to use it. I'd happily recommend this shampoo to my friends and family.

I got this product to trail and after washing my hair 3 times so far it’s honestly really nice, the lather is nice, the scent smells very fresh and beautiful shine!! I would definitely 100% repurchase this collection from L’Oréal. It restores hair fibre and seals the hair cuticle leaving it glossy and shiny! Love that it is sulphate free too! I definitely have already recommended to friends and family!!

It really reminds me of the products they use in professional salons, so it's lovely to recreate a similar experience at home. It does leave my hair feeling very nice and smooth. For reference, my hair is usually quite dry and can be a little frizzy so this has been great, especially during the cooler and dryer months. Gives a very lovely shine as well. I find that the fragrance also stays for a while so that's a huge plus! Overall, I would recommend this product, but I would try to get it on sale which seems like it does frequently so will definitely be well worth it!

The entire system is very straight forward and simple to use, and I would say when used all together you get the best result. The scent is quite nice, but if you are not into fragranced products I would be mindful this is decently strong. The shampoo lathers well on the second application, and has a nice thick texture to it. When using all the products in this range, I have been able to reduce my salon visits- with the gloss and shine similar to post salon blow dries! I have curly, dry hair which has been bleached and heat damaged, so finding a product which makes it manageable but not weigh down my natural hair texture is a god send. I will definitely be repurchasing this system, and retiring my Kevin Murphy products!
