1. What is a hair cuticle?
The hair cuticle is the outermost part of the hair shaft. It's comprised of overlapping cells that resemble fish scales. It's there to protect the inner layers of your hair (like the follicle) from damage and provides shine.

Directions

Apply a generous amount of this hair care product on wet hair, to seal it with a shine glaze from lengths to tips. Leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

I've never used a lamination product before so I was particularly eager to try this one! I would compare it to a hair mask - for use post shampoo/conditioner, and to be left in the hair for around 5 mins or so before washing out.  Like the other products in this range, it has a light and pleasant scent. I'd suggest using this two weeks or so - not a product to be used during every hair wash, but a nice product to use to give it a bit more extra shine.  This lamination is step three of the L'Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic range - I would strongly suggest using this alongside the other three products in the range to get best results!

My hair has never felt healthier. Everytime I use this Brand I feel like I’ve just walked out of a salon. I recently dyed my hair blonde and was worried it may damage it but it has made the blonde so much healthier and it’s no longer dry and rush since using it. I’m so happy I found something that just works so good for my hair. I have already started recommended the products to family, friends, clients & work mates. The entire system is very straight forward and simple to use, and I would say when used all together you get the best result. The scent is quite nice, but if you are not into fragranced products I would be mindful this is decently strong. The lamination gloss is easy to pop on in shower, and I find I can use this every second wash without compromising my hair. When using all the products in this range, I have been able to reduce my salon visits- with the gloss and shine similar to post salon blow dries!

I have been using it every 3rd day. I have classic length, wavy and frizzy but straight undyed hair and rarely use heat. I have absolutely LOVED using these products and will be repurchasing! My hair was straight for a long time, and in the last few months has turned more wavy and frizzy, I assume due to hormonal changes. I was missing my easy to tame hair so much, and these products brought it back for me fully!! The product is a thick white cream, and a little bit goes a long way. I hqve oily roots and used the treatment twice on my full hair but didn’t like the feel, so I apply it maybe 3” down from my scalp. Once I air dried my hair, it is always so much softer, shiner and just looks overall better. My dead ends look more sealed, straighter and looks healthier compared to using other shampoos and conditioners. When using this lamination treatment I always try to leave it on for the longest time possible, and make sure to get all of the product out. For a supermarket brand with a decent price over all the products, this will definitely be one of my new go to ranges!! I tend to have 2-3 different ranges at a time as my hair responds better to a variety of products.

It left my hair feeling soft and looking sleek. The scent wasn’t over powering. It left my hair feeling silky. I loved the glitter. Most serums I have tried either will leave my hair oily or dull looking but this doesn’t. Everything about this product has the qualities I look for from the smell to the results of my hair afterwards. I used it on wet/damp hair immediately after using the rest of the range (the shampoo, conditioner and laminate and serum, and I feel that this likely maximised the effectiveness of the product. I would definitely buy again and recommend to anyone.

I have been using Loreal shampoo and conditioner from a long time and trying this new range was a great experience for me. I used all the products from this range together for 3 weeks straight, with this lamination just once. This is the hero product from this range as this just added the extra shine to my dull hair. I applied it to my hair after conditioning it and left it for a few minutes and then rinsed it off. Just one more step after conditioner and I got beautiful, healthier and glossy hair, truly amazing! I just loved trialing this range, would definitely buy back and recommend it to my family and friends.

I’d say this is my favourite product in the range! I first shampooed, conditioned and then applied the gloss and placed my hair in a clip while continuing the rest of my shower. My hair was noticeably smoother and softer after washing out the gloss. I have curly hair which can sometimes feel coarse, and this gloss made it feel so incredibly silky. The one thing I noticed is that it made my hair feel a bit weighed down once it dried, and my curls didn’t bounce up as much. But I’m ok with that because my hair felt less frizzy. In the future I’d probably skip the conditioner on days I use this gloss, to get the benefits without feeling weighed down.

After washing my hair with the glycolic gloss shampoo and conditioner, I massaged the treatment into my hair and let it sit for 5 minutes. The treatment rinsed out easily and once dried, there was no heavy or sticky residue. Once my hair dried, it felt far more smooth and silky than after my typical wash and also had a fantastic glossy shine. I received so many compliments on how my hair looked after the treatment. The texture is rich creamy same the hair conditioner version. It has 17 % gloss complex with glycolic acid that seals cuticles for ultimate shine. After shampoo and conditioner I apply this 5 minute Lamination on my hair before rinsing it. It is easily spread and the pink texture is color safe it does not stain or leave residue.I would say this is also one of the best hair products in L’Oréal. This will be on the lost of my hair care routine. It is a treat to your hair and gives you the confidence that your hair needs. I will continue this product and recommend to everyone who had hair problems as me. It is really a hair transformation at-home glossing treatments. So grateful to tried to this product.

It leaves my hair feeling so healthy like I’ve just left the salon and I have hair that is died blonde and notorious for a dry scalp and oily hair. I would definitely keep repurchasing this product for myself as the results have been fantastic. I have been using this product once to twice a week in conjunction with the L’Oréal elvive shampoo and conditioner.

I can't speak on how this would compare to a professional gloss treatment as I have never had one, however I am very pleased with the results and would not feel the need to seek out a professional gloss treatment when i could just use this routine. I have straight hair of a medium thickness and will definitely continue to use this range and would recommend to others with a similar hair type. Following the Conditioner, I apply the Lamination treatment to my hair which helps to seal cuticles for a lasting shine glaze, and leave it in for 5 minutes before rinsing it off. This has helped to lock in the shine and silky smooth feeling! This routine has been super effective even after the first couple of uses. This serum also has the same lovely scent as the rest of the range. After using the full Glycolic Gloss range (Shampoo, Conditioner, 5 Minute Lamination, and Leave-in Serum), my hair looks and feels better than ever, and is no longer dull. It’s a wonder how a 5 minute product can make such a difference to your hair care routine. Would recommend as it is an essential step to the whole range of products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Product that made my hair soft and shine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow what can I say the L'Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss 5 minute Lamination and it has worked a treat in my hair. My hair has been very dull and porous from many years of colouring. I loved how easy it was to use and how it made my hair feel so much smoother and it looked so much more healthier. It smells amazing and made my hair shine and have life again. The bottles look really nice in my bathroom and the whole process from start to finish was very manageable. I love that none of these products are tested on animals. Super easy to apply and I let it sit for 5 minutes while I did other beauty treatments. Highly recommend giving it a go if you have dull and porous hair like I did.

I’ve used it three times over the past few weeks and I’ve found that it has a significant difference than when I don’t use it. After my hair dries, it is usually frizzy and dry, but when I use the lamination treatment, my hair dried smoother and had a noticeable shine. Over the following days, my hair continued to maintain this glossy finish and felt significantly softer. The treatment has helped to tame my frizz, leaving my hair looking healthy and thicker. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to add gloss and manageability to their hair.

So, I was a bit skeptical and tried to follow the instructions correctly to give it a fair chance. I applied it from the lengths to the tips of my hair after Shampoo and Conditioner from the same range. Kept it on for 5 minutes as advised in the packaging and rinsed it thoroughly after. I was surprised to see how smooth my hair felt and the floral fragrance was divine! Thanks to the 17% gloss complex with glycolic acid! I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking to revive your dull and damaged hair. You will be amazed at how smooth and shiny your hair is after just the first treatment!

After using the Glycolic Gloss shampoo and conditioner, I applied the lamination treatment and left in for five or so minutes. Normally, I use a hair mask or similar treatment once a week, and this product fits perfectly into that regimen. The moment I washed it off, my hair felt so smooth. Paired with the shampoo and conditioner, the lamination treatment made my hair noticeably shinier, softer, and glossier, with these effects lasting until the next wash. I received several compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looked, and the scent is fantastic!. This product works beautifully in conjunction with the rest of the Glycolic Gloss range, but I would repurchase it by itself as I feel like it’s my favourite of the collection. Overall, it's an excellent choice for anyone wanting to add shine and vitality to dull or dehydrated hair.

I really noticed the difference it made in the outcome of what my hair looked like post-wash compared to only using shampoo and conditioner. My hair was more obviously shinier, glossier, lighter and bouncier and just felt great. I also like that you get a good amount of usage out of the product, as you don't need to apply a whole lot each wash (even if the instructions say to apply a generous amount). I also love that the bottle can be recycled, and has instructions for the user to cut the plastic wrapping off so that it can go in the recycling bin.

I do not normally buy hair masks but I will definitely be purchasing this again! I have been using it with the glycolic gloss shampoo and conditioner and my hair is so soft and less frizzy. The packaging looks lovely in the bathroom and the products smell delightful! I highly recommend using all 4 Glycolic Gloss products for maximum results. Even purchasing as a set, these are budget friendly with salon quality results I highly recommend and will definitely be buying again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and healthy hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The L'Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss 5-Minute Lamination comes in attractive pearlescent pink packaging, with the product itself matching the pink hue and floral scent (with hints of mango) of the shampoo and conditioner. The scent lingers pleasantly after use. The product has a thick consistency and applies easily from the lengths to the tips of my hair. Used every 5-10 washes, it left my hair immediately shinier and healthier in both feel and appearance. While the conditioner gave similar results, this lamination also made my hair feel soft and not much product was needed for results. Although the instructions suggest using this lamination step after conditioning, I found that conditioning on the same days felt excessive, caused product buildup, and didn't improve the results. I would repurchase this product but skip the conditioning step on days I use the lamination.

My hair has never felt healthier. Everytime I use this Brand I feel like I’ve just walked out of a salon. I recently dyed my hair blonde and was worried it may damage it but it has made the blonde so much healthier and it’s no longer dry and rush since using it. I’m so happy I found something that just works so good for my hair. I have already started recommended the products to family, friends, clients & work mates.
