1. What is a hair cuticle?
The hair cuticle is the outermost part of the hair shaft. It's comprised of overlapping cells that resemble fish scales. It's there to protect the inner layers of your hair (like the follicle) from damage and provides shine.

Directions

Apply a generous amount of this hair care product on wet hair, to seal it with a shine glaze from lengths to tips. Leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

It’s so easy to use in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner. I apply a sufficient amount and put my hair in a clip, letting it work its magic. My hair feels so silky and soft when I rinse this treatment out. As a blonde with years of bleach and heat damage, getting shine in my hair is almost impossible. This product line makes my hair look noticeably more shiny, and it feels so healthy and much more manageable, too. This whole line is absolutely incredible, especially for the price!

It has a lovely scent and makes it feel like a salon experience. My hair felt amazing after it was nice and soft and helped relax my frizziness. I have very thin hair so I only needed to use a tiny bit. Can use in the shower or even leave in for a bit longer for an even better experience. Would definitely highly recommend purchasing this product even if you don't need the shampoo and conditioner. The pink also looks really cute in my bathroom.

After using both L’Oréal glycolic shampoo and L’Oréal glycolic conditioner I apply a good amount of the L’Oréal glycolic gloss lamination for about 5-7 minutes then rinse! This product locks in shine and makes your hair feel like silk!!! I love everything so far from this range and once I finish all the bottles I will definitely be repurchasing. After using L'Oréal Glycolic Shampoo and L'Oréal Glycolic Conditioner, I apply a generous amount of this product to my hair and wait for 5 minutes before rinsing out. This product helps lock in that shiny look and it makes my hair feel and look as soft as silk. My hair is super shiny and vibrant. L'Oréal Glycolic 5 minute Lamination is really effective and efficient lasting up to 10 washes. I definitely recommend using L'Oréal Glycolic 5 minute Lamination in your hair care routine. I'll be adding this my shopping basket next time I go shopping for hair products.

I used this on alternating washes to make sure it worked. I can safely say I preferred the way my hair dried and responded following using this. It was easier to manage, silkier and dried and maintained a slightly straighter finish. I did find it felt super silky in my hair, and when blowdrying after wash it certainly seemed to have more shine. I will continue to use this and the conditioner from the Glycolic Gloss range.

Firstly it smells great, a gorgeous scent that lasts. It’s easy to use, just leave on hair for five minutes and rinse out. It did make my dark hair look a lot shinier and it felt really soft, it detangles and it definitely helped tame any frizz. After styling my hair looked smooth and sleek, shiny and healthy. It’s not a bad price, so quite good value for money and it’s packaged nicely. L’Oréal is a great brand and I often use their skincare products but have found their hair products are of a high quality too. I would recommend this product

I've been using this product like a hair mask. After I shampoo and condition my hair, I've been adding the Lamination to it and combing it through my hair. I usually step out of the shower or just wait a bit and do my other stuff before rinsing. It makes my hair so smooth and silky to touch. I was worried that it wouldn't rinse out properly or make my hair oily, but I've found its been working great! Definitely recommend this.

I did find however that using the products as directed left my hair greasy, my scalp feeling thick and my hair showing signs of buildup and caking. The shampoo is quite thick and does lather well however it does take some work to do so The conditioner has a fine consistency but the amount received in the bottle is not comparable to shampoo meaning you run out of it much quicker The hair treatment is the only product I found I loved and would probably repurchase as used with other shampoo and conditioner it does leave the desired results and makes my hair shiny and easy to manage Finally the serum was a bit confusing as it initially appears as if the bottle is glittery however on use of the product the glitter is contained in the product itself, I would have loved this had there been any pay off of this glitter into the hair however it dissolves in the hair but never off the hands and only adds an oily, not shiny, look to the finished product once styled. I’m sure this product would be amazing for those with dry and dull hair however it was simply not for me.

The sparkly pinky pearly texture of the solution just gives girly pop vibes! So adorably and cute! The entire ranges packaging definitely suites the solution since all the products have similar sparkly textures, except the conditioner. The packaging gives 2000’s girly vibes. It’s pretty and cute! It’s a very small product in relation to the price tag. The 4 step process is long and the lamination was the longest step! The product smelt amazing but I did not wait around for the entire 5 minutes the first time I used it but the effect was still amazing! It doesn’t have an overpowering smell but still sweet and pleasant. I noticed that my hair was incredibly soft after the entire process. I think this product did most of that work.

It says to use after conditioning, however the smells overpower each other and i find there is too much product in your hair using the lamination as well as the conditioner. I find this may be the reason to why my hair has less volume after use of the products. The product used alone would be much better i feel, I would recommend to use this on days you don’t condition your hair, and keep the products seperate to avoid excessive product build up and weighed down hair

I think it’s perfect for people that have dry damaged hair as they need the extra care but people with finer hair may feel like it’s too much product. I obviously used this in combination with the rest of the range so can’t comment on how it makes my hair feel as a standalone product. I loved it as part of the range though

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft to touch [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed about this L'Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss 5 minute lamination is the packaging, which comes in an aesthetically pleasing, easy-to-use bottle. I have long thick, wavy, frizzy hair and I have to use a generous amount of the product, it was really easy to distribute evenly through my hair. It left my hair feeling smooth and shinny. The conditioner is Enriched with glycolic acid restore fibre from within, significantly enhancing hair quality and sealing hair with lasting shine. The only downside of using this is it takes a lot of time in the shower as it is recommended to use after using the L'Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss Shampoo and conditioner. If you have the time, I would highly recommend trying this product if you want to achieve a smooth and shinny healthy looking hair.

I really liked this product; it's my favourite out of the entire range. It left my hair looking and feeling smoother. I would definitely recommend this as a longer hair treatment for anyone seeking smooth, great-smelling hair. It pairs well with the other products in the line, making it a versatile addition to your hair care routine. Whether you have dry or damaged hair, this leave-in treatment provides a noticeable improvement in texture and manageability. It's an excellent, affordable alternative to higher-end treatments, delivering salon-quality results at a fraction of the cost.
