Coming from someone who has dyed their hair far too many times with box hair dyes, I was incredibly impressed with the outcome. My hair was so damaged, to be honest, I wasn't expecting much of a difference but boy was I wrong. I have bleached blonde hair with highlights and I am always using heat styling tools. I loved that product was able to work in a minute which worked for me. I'm usually not a fan of overnight or leave in treatments so this was a good win for me with its convenience. The product smelt great and was easy to apply. I noticed a reduction in frizz and noticed my ends did look less dry. Although split ends remain, the product did a great job of sealing them off. My style lasted through the day and didn't appear to make my roots oily. I did notice more shiny colour overall. I recommend the product and the complete system. Works just as well as the most expensive products or salon treatments. I found a little bit of the product went a long way, so there is value for money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the repair treatment as step one in a three step process, followed by the shampoo and conditioner. When I first used the treatment, I was stunned by how soft my hair felt almost immediately. I followed the advice on the product that stated to leave it on for at least one minute but no longer than 5 minutes. I couldn’t believe how soft my hair felt. I do feel as though there is not enough in this bottle to pair with the size of the shampoo/conditioner, especially given that I have thick and long hair and often need to use quite a bit of product, but that’s the only negative. The product itself is fantastic, and followed by the other steps, I feel as though my hair is genuinely healthier. I have very dry, split and damaged hair so to notice an immediate difference is great. I’d recommend this and I’ll be purchasing it again.

I love the uniqueness of it being used before shampooing when usual treatments I use are after shampoo. It feels like it is really protecting my hair before I wash it. It smells so lovely and is a nice and soft consistency on my hair. After a few weeks of trialling out the John Frieda Blonde+ Pre Treatment I have noticed a big difference in my hair health! My locks are glowing and healthy! My hair is prone to bleach and it feels so strong and healthy. Very impressed with this protect and can’t wait to continue using this.

It smells divine and left my hair feeling nourished prior to the shampoo. I haven’t used a pre shampoo treatment before but don’t think I will be going back to not using one again! It made such a difference! The whole 3 step process left my hair feeling rejuvenated, repaired and definitely stronger. I was able to do a blowout straight after using and my hair had so much volume and the blonde was so clean. If you’re needing a new blonde hair care regime that won’t leave your hair looking a different colour to eliminate the brassy look then this is the product for you.

I love that the pre-treatment I can do outside of the shower first and then wash it off rather than have to wait 5 minutes in the shower. The shampoo is rich and a great consistency that lathers SO WELL. A little goes a LONG way! The scent is GORGEOUS, obsessed with this whole system. I used it on my platinum highlights at the front of my hair and they've left my hair feeling so strong and silky! Totally recommend this whole system to anyone who has bleached or damaged hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This John Frieda Pre Treatment is a quick step before shampooing and conditioning (preferably with the John Frieda Repair line) to help strengthen your hair. I have long blonde, bleach treated hair that needs alllll the help it can get to maintain the integrity of the strand. A bond repair like this is brilliant to use before your bleach application, or to use after to strengthen it after the damage has been done, Chuck it on damp hair, comb through, leave for 1-5 minutes, then wash off, shampoo and condition and voila! Hair is nice and smooth (but stronger). I would definitely recommend this as an economical alternative to some of the other bond repairing options out there. Definitely worth using if you’re a bleach girl and like to have nice hair that isn’t a frizzy broken mess like some of us have… or had!!!

This pre treatment is easy to apply and add into my hair care routine. Only needs to be applied for a few minutes before washing my hair as normal and leaves my ends feeling stronger and looking refreshed! I can truly tell if a product works for me instantly after the first use, and this trio of products absolutely works!! My hair was left instantly feeling soft, smooth, glossier, and with no tangles after the first wash, finished with just a blow dry. Usually I need to run a straighter over lightly to calm down any fluffiness but my hair was left feeling so beautifully sleek! Also the smell is gorgeous, a sophisticated clean scent that has lingered in my hair after a wash and dry. Only thing with this pre-treatment is you need to spray your hair with water to get it damp (as I cannot be bothered to hop in the shower then hop back out to put this on), and the smaller bottle get's used up quite quickly. Super happy with the results!

I was really excited to use this pre-shampoo treatment as I don't have a pre-shampoo in my routine. I'm not sure how accurate the claim of repairing bonds is on a chemical level, but as someone who used to use olaplex, I thought this product was on a comparable level in terms of repairing damage. After use with the other three products in the range, my hair felt a lot more smooth, manageable and less damaged. It was easier to brush through and less frizzy overall. I liked this treatment a lot!

I know it only needs to be used a couple of times a week though. I think doing a 3 step process in the shower is too time consuming - couldn't use it if you had water restrictions! takes about 1 minute to apply, leave on for 1 minute, then wash out. Then you have to do shampoo and conditioning process. I received this product as a gift for my honest review.

Apply a generous amount from roots to ends and massage and comb through. Leave for 1 to 5 minutes then rinse. It really cleanses your hair and I noticed a huge difference on the days when I only used shampoo and conditioner. My hair was softer, shinier and felt stronger and healthier. The product says to apply generously all over but the bottle is tiny so it did not last long so it ideally should be a much larger size bottle. This product was gifted to me for the purpose of a fair and honest review.

The idea of pre-shampoo is different as well, normally it is an aftercare product. Consistency is lovely and the scent quite subtle. Definitely felt soft on my hair and used with the matching shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling very soft and natural - almost fluffy like it wasn’t colour treated at all. And it has remained soft and clean for at least 2 days so far! Received product for impartial review. Opinions expressed are my own.

I used it as recommended before shampooing for 5 minutes, when washed hair is silky smooth. Only thing I hated is it is not a lot of product, it was advised to use generously & I did just that, lasted me for about a week or so. Loved the big bottle opening, to easily get every last drop. Will definitely recommend John Frieda Blonde+ Pre Treatment to all and will buy and keep using.

After using this pre-shampoo I visibly noticed softer healthier hair with less breakage and fallout. This product is to be put on damp hair before a regular wash and shampoo and gives strengthening and conditioning values to the hair which I definitely noticed in just after couple of weeks of use. I would normally use a conditioning mask in my hair care routine but decided to skip when trialling these products and I loved how moisturised my hair felt and didn't need to mask when using this product line. I definitely recommend it to anyone who has dry, frizzy or unmanageable hair it absolutely hydrates and creates healthier hair. I love that this product is great value for money and I will be continuing to use in my hair care routine. The only negative for me was the texture on my hair after being washed before shampooing and the fact this product can not be used solely as a treatment then on semi clean hair.

This product SAVED my hair. I bleach my hair every 8 weeks and it’s definitely not super healthy. After just one use with this I genuinely thought my hair was stronger and healthier. It smells absolutely incredible and was super easy to lather into my hair. The only thing I don’t like about this is that the packaging was a little difficult to open and I’d love a bigger bottle as I felt I used a lot in one hit. The packaging claims that I will have stronger hair after 1 wash, I used this just before I had a hairdressing appointment to bleach my roots and the hairdresser said my hair genuinely seemed stronger and I had less fallout than I usually would so I genuinely believe the trio of products helped this.

I didn't really think it was necessary, however the John Frieda Blonde+ Pre Treatment has changed my mind! It's designed to protect your hair before shampooing it and I've found it does just that. I've found that the shampoo works much more effectively removing impurities making my hair look shiner, cleaner and brighter. It's almost like doing a hair mask first and switching up the steps. But I'm really surprised and how much it has worked for me! Would recommend this to any blonde with dry hair trying to gain the colour and life back into it.

I frequently use heated tools as well and i feel that this has helped reduce any further damage I’m causing. Been using this before shampoo and conditioner twice a week which works well for me, leaves my hair nice and soft even after blow drying. I would definitely recommend if you have artificially blonde hair, or have damaged, dry or brittle hair – it also smells quite nice!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says - makes hair stronger [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you very much to Beautycrew and John Frieda for letting me trial and review the Blonde+ Pre Treatment 100mL This is a concentrated product that comes in a small bottle with a flip cap for dispensing. It has a smooth lotion consistency on the thinner side than a regular post-shampoo treatment. It is designed to re-build damaged bonds in hair. Having previously tried Olaplex and other bond re-construction products it is natural for me to draw comparisons between this product and other similar ones that I have tried. I found that John Frieda smells amazing, and it is easy to dispense and apply. The application time is somewhat restricted (1-5 minutes), which means I would often need to do it in the shower and wait, not able to do much else while having the treatment in my hair. I've always follow up with Blonde+ shampoo and conditioner. The first time after I used it I found that it made my hair noticeably stronger, but also more 'stiff'. I proceeded to use it a second time few days later and I also found that the stiffness is noticeable, although a nice leave-in oil did make my hair feel soft again. Overall I think it does do what it claims it does, which is to repair and make hair stronger however I think it can be improved if it can also soften hair at the same time.

One of the highlights for me is how effortlessly my hair glides through the comb during and after application, minimizing any tugging or pulling. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never tried a pre shampoo treatment at home like this before so I was curious to give it a go. I love that it's part of a three step system and it has a structured process to it. The smell isn't bad or good but the bottle could be bigger for someone like myself with long blonde hair as I'd only get a few goes from it. I left my treatment in for the maximum recommended time of 5 mins each time I washed my hair - not sure if you left it in for longer, if this would have any further positive effects. Once washed out, my hair felt much more smoother, silky and well conditioned. Once you move onto step 2 of shampooing the hair doesn't feel like as smooth or hydrated. My hair does appear like it has less breakage than normal and does look healthier post blow drying. I want to continue using this longer term to see what benefits it has over a period of time and assess the condition of my hair post colouring (about to get a full head of blonde highlights next week). Would definitely recommend it for someone with dry and damaged blonde hair.
