As someone with Asian hair that's undergone multiple bleaching sessions, I constantly battle with breakage and damage. The product's consistency makes application effortless, and it has a pleasant smell. While I haven't noticed a significant reduction in breakage, the immediate softness it provides keeps me coming back. My hair feels smooth and shines all day. However, I would note that it might not be suitable for fine hair that gets oily quickly, as it feels more on the heavier side. Despite this, the product's ability to make my hair feel silky and manageable encourages me to continue using it.

My blond hair does now look like it got a life to it after using the John Frieda Blonde+ Shampoo followed by its conditioner. I allow some time to lather and massage hair to work its magic on the hair and help repair. I do recommend this great John Frieda Blonde+ product to all Blondies or anyone with dyed hair generally. Will definitely continue to use John Frieda Blonde+ products range. Thank you for giving this opportunity to trial this great product.

My hair was really fried after all the crazy hair colours that I have done. I was really skeptical at first to try this shampoo as nothing has done much to heal it. I would be honest it did take a little patience and consistency from my side but I can feel my hair getting better. This shampoo is not expensive and has perfect lather and smell which I loved. I would keep using this product and would definitely recommend using. I got some compliments from people about my hair as well so I am very happy.

My hair was easier to style with the support of this product and my blonde looked brighter. I have been using this product for a few weeks now and feel in the long term my hair will be stronger and easier to manage. I followed this product with the matching pre-treatment and conditioner, all 3 products worked well together. My hair felt great but my scalp became a little sensitive and itchy when I used all 3 products together. I might try separating the products out? Thus the 4 stars. My scalp has a tendency to become sensitive, this may not affect others.

I absolutely love the clean and fresh smell this product and the entire line has. I have been bleaching my hair now for about 4 years and usually use olaplex but am trying to transition back to brunette and want a cheaper alternative. It is far too expensive. I have never been able to find a product that matches olaplex but I’m starting to believe this line can! It made my hair super shiny and feel super strong just after a few washes. The only complaint I have about the shampoo is that it is slightly thinner than the olaplex shampoo and doesn’t lather up as nice. For the price it doesn’t really bother me but I know I would use up the entire bottle quicker than usual.

After just one use, my hair feels instantly softer, smoother, glossier, and completely tangle-free, even after blow-drying or using my hot air brush. Typically, I'd need to lightly straighten to tame frizz, but this time my hair felt beautifully sleek without it. The scent is lovely too—clean and sophisticated, lingering long after washing and drying. The shampoo was especially effective on my oily roots, leaving them residue-free and my hair feeling light and airy after just two washes. I'm thrilled with the results!

My hair felt really clean after using it, and looked shiny and fresh. I tend to find some blonde shampoos drying, but this one didn’t have that effect at all. With this is mind, it also didn’t make my hair feel greasy and oily, and my hair still lasted the same amount of time in between washes. My favourite way to use this shampoo is together with the pre treatment and the conditioner. On its own, it doesn’t quite have the same impact as without the other two products. Using all three together is a dream! I would purchase this product again, but only as part of the 3 step routine, I wouldn’t purchase it by itself. I really like that you can find quality drug store shampoos for bleaches and damaged blonde hair, it’s a big win!

Its a good sized bottle and you don't need to apply lots of it. In comparison to the pretreatment, your hair does feel abit drier after it but this makes sense as it's cleaning hair of the pre-treatment. I would definitely purchase the product again. My hair feels smoother and lools more silkier which I wasn't expecting to see after just a few washes. I'm not sure if I've seen less breakage just yet (my hair is in need to a colour and cut) but I plan to use this ongoing to check out the difference it makes!

When I used it, I noticed that my hair felt stronger and thicker, which is a big deal for someone like me with blonde hair that tends to be on the finer side. Even as I was rinsing out I was worried my bleached hair was going to hate this shampoo. But following up with the conditioner my hair felt amazing! So you definitely need to pair the two together, especially if you’re a bleached blonde. Upon drying and styling in my usual way I did notice even after the first use the ends of my hair didn’t look at wirey. There was less frizz too. I’ve been using for about 2 weeks now and I can honestly say my hair does feel healthier. I am going to continue to use this shampoo, I really love it.

I got complimented on my hair only a few days after starting to use. I have a combination of oily and dry hair and it seemed to work well particularly for managing the oil, but my scalp did feel a bit dry after use. Main criticism is that I would have liked to have seen a cruelty free label on the product. I have naturally blonde hair so can’t comment on helpfulness in relation to damage from lightening.

It left my hair feeling hydrated and smooth. I tried this shampoo in addition to the pre treatment and conditioner trio. My hair looked less brassy and had a noticeable shine after just one use. The subtle scent and lightweight texture were great. Using it with the Blonde pre treatment and conditioner enhanced the effects, making my hair stronger. This trio is perfect for maintaining healthy, vibrant hair and repairing damage from styling. Highly recommend the trio!

I’ve recently been using the John Frieda Blonde Repair System and it has helped my hair feel stronger and bonded. Step one is the repair. Rinse after 1 minute. It’s like a conditioner but you use it first. Then step two is the shampoo, you only need a little bit to make lots of lather. Then the conditioner is the third step. I found the conditioner was less moisturising than the repair. However my hair feels and looks much brighter, stronger and healthier aft two weeks of use.

I used this alongside the conditioner and treatment and it seems to have improved my overall hair quality. The tones also have become less brassy overall with was an extra perk, I can easily run my fingers through my hair now without rough tangles and the ends are looking so much better, I would recommend this for sure to anyone with bleached or damaged hair, that doesn’t want to spend hundreds on salon treatments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes hair stronger [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you very much to Beauty Crew and John Frieda for the opportunity to trial and review the entire Blonde+ range. I've been trialing the pre-shampoo treatment, the shampoo and the conditioner altogether. The shampoo comes in a big, 250mL inverted tube with a flip cap - my favourite packaging for convenient storage and dispensing. The shampoo lathers up really well and a small amount goes a long way. It cleanses hair very efficiently (a second cleanse is not strictly required) and I like that it feels gentle on hair too. Out of all 3 products the shampoo smells slightly different and I am not sure about the chemical detergent edge to the smell of the shampoo, but the conditioner has such a strong scent that it doesn't bother me too much what the shampoo smells like as it would be 'masked' anyway. After using all 3 products, I find that my hair feels stronger after each use. Hair is manageable after using conditioner, although I would have preferred the products to make my hair a bit more softer and silkier. I find that it is necessary for me to use a hair oil to increase softness and smoothness. Overall, the range does what it says which is to repair my hair making it stronger.

At the start of my routine, I was using the pre-treamtent to ensure best results. I found the smell of the product pleasant, with a silky texture. The product lathers really well which I usually look for in a shampoo. I had been experiencing some dandruff or build up of product since using this shampoo, however unsure if it is the product or external factors. Overall, the shampoo cleanses as promised and does make my hair feel clean and soft after using.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely shampoo for blondes that isn’t too heavy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate enough to trial this product with the full Blonde+ system, so I got to experience this shampoo as it was intended to be used. It is a fairly thick shampoo and despite using the Pre Treatment I needed to use a decent amount to cover my whole scalp. The scent is pleasing and not overwhelming. It’s nothing something I would choose, but after I had used all the products it smelled like I had been to the salon, so I was really happy with that. The shampoo lathered fairly well, but again, I needed more than I thought I would having used the Pre Treatment. As it has a thick consistency I was a little concerned that my hair would feel weighed down, but it isn’t a heavy shampoo at all. My hair felt soft and nourished but not flat and heavy at all. It was clean without being dried out, soft but not difficult to manage. Styling after using the full system was really easy and the results were great! I would definitely recommend this product and the entire John Frieda Blonde+ system to others with colour-treated bright blonde hair!

It compliments the bonding range very nicely, more so than on its own. It has a pretty unique smell but this is common for lots of bonding products. My hair health has been amazing since using this product alongside the conditioner and the pre-shampoo treatment. It is a lovely feeling product in my hair when I wash it. I would highly recommend using this range if you have super bleached and damaged hair! I have a constant glow in my locks. My hair hasn’t felt or looked better.

It really does work and lightens your hair and make them looking more stronger and healthier. It brightens dull highlights back to looking new and fresh. Smells very niece and just a small amount of this shampoo is enough for long hair. i would recommend to use all the three products once or twice a week not every day as I can feel that is a building up on the scalp.

I have bleached hair and artificial blonde hair and have always struggled with hair damage and dryness. Overall I found this shampoo to be a great shampoo when used in conjunction with the other products in the range. It cleaned my hair well and felt clarifying. My hair wasn't oily afterwards but it felt distinctly softer and more manageable after my shower routine. My only qualm is that I'm not a big fan of the scent but that might be a personal thing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blonde brightening and bleach repairing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a damage repairing shampoo that adds brightness to your blonde hair for a cleaner blonde look, this one is great! I really love the scent and consistency of this shampoo, and in my opinion, it's very comparable to Olaplex. I find it's got enough body to it to feel repairing and nourishing, however it's not a really heavy formula and it still works into a creamy lather. In terms of cleansing though, this shampoo didn't tick that box for me. My hair felt more repaired, but it wasn't the best at actually removing build-up on my scalp and hair. I also found I preferred to use the shampoo once rather than doing a double cleanse like I normally would, as the formula felt like it could be too drying when used twice. Overall, I think this product is a winner for brightening and repairing, so I'd personally recommend using the full Blonde+ repair system once a week, and then shampooing with a clarifying/cleansing shampoo in-between those washes.

This is a 3 step regime which comes with a pre treatment (step 1), shampoo (step 2 - this product) and conditioner (step 3). I only received this shampoo as part of the trial and used with a different conditioner. I’d like to use with the 3 step system to see if there is a noticeable difference in the condition of my hair. Overall a good product which will last a while. My hair is long and I regularly get low and highlights. So it’s lightened significantly and is prone to damage, dryness, frizz and colour fade. This shampoo is said to cleanse and add shine. The complete system is said visibly repair the hair. It comes in a generous size 250 ml bottle. A little goes a long way on damp hair as it has a rich foamy lather. Cleanses the hair well. My hair felt clean and not stripped from the shampoo. I’d like to use in conjunction with the other 2 steps to see if there is a visible difference to the colour and condition of my hair. My objective is to keep my hair coloured with reduced damage. I’ll continue using this product and explore the rest of the range.

My hair tends to frizz quite easily, so I am always on the lookout for getting the frizz under control. I had high hopes for this product, however it just did not work for me. It is fine to use as an "in-between" wash product, but I found my hair to be visibly frizzy after use. My hair definitely feels fine to the touch after use, and the product smells pleasant, but the frizz it caused was a bit of a let down. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this product to friends or family. It's fine, but there are definitely other products out there that do the same thing and leave a smoothing effect on your hair after use.

My hair type is fine however I do have a lot of hair making it thick, therefore have to be careful with products being too "heavy" for my hair. I normally wash my hair 1-2 times per week, and found that I did not need to increase the number of washes using this product which was great. The Blonde+ Repair System has three steps, with the shampoo being the second step. The system is not overly complicated and very straight forward. I found that it has a pleasant smell, lathers well and didn't leave my hair feeling dry/brittle. I did not notice a big difference with my hair after only two uses however will continue to use it. I think it would be very suitable for someone with bleached/blonde hair that needs some TLC.

I have natural curls that are foil bleached/toned to a snowy blonde, this ‘Step 2’ of the ‘3 Step’ process didn’t do 1 positive thing for my hair. It left an ever so slight oiliness at the roots & enough weight throughout to flop my curls! It is a simple process to use. It has a pleasant scent. I did need to shampoo twice to feel my roots were adequately clean, by then my ends felt like straw. I wasn’t left with a softness from a quality product that’s bonded with my hair. I didn’t notice an increase in my hairs strength after 5 washes. I wouldn’t recommend for natural curls.

I felt like it was also hard to control how much product came out so I often ended up using too much and having wastage. I like the idea of having bond repair in my entire routine. Would not repurchase it, I feel like it’s not great for the price, just made my hair feel clean and fresh, but didn’t feel wow, I’d rather spend a bit more and get a salon product at this point ($20 for pharmacy/supermarket shampoo). My hair did seem more ashy on the ends, unsure if from shampoo or another part of the routine though.

I use a fan to dry my hair after, just a simply dry and omg it is so dry even when using a heat protectant. I might switch to once a week if that, but I have not noticed any positive changes. It has probably just damaged my hair more. When I used it alongside the conditioner, had the exact same results. It is not worth it to be honest. I normally use non-blonde products for my oily hair which help but even when i use purple shampoos its still not as drying as this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Underwhelming [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try the John Frieda Blonde Go Blonder Shampoo, as I've been using it for a few weeks now to help maintain my highlighted hair. While I did notice an initial improvement in the shine and vibrancy of my blonde locks, I have to say that it's had some unexpected consequences. After using the shampoo regularly, I've started to notice that my hair has become incredibly dry and brittle. It's like it's sucking the moisture right out of my hair! I've always had dry ends, but this is on a whole new level. My hair feels like straw to the touch, and it's become prone to tangling and breaking off.
