After just 6 days of twice daily brushing I notice an unbelievable improvement in the brightness of my teeth, they are looking so pearly white already I am amazed & can't wait to see what longer term use will bring!.a small amount of it goes such a long way too making it great value for money. Optic White Purple is definately a 5 star addition to the Colgate family.

This is my first time trying a purple toothpaste. I have used this product every day for the past 7 days. After 4-5 brushes I started noticing a difference. My teeth were noticeably whiter. The mint flavour is really refreshing and my mouth felt clean for hours after using. I didn't have any sensitivity using this every day. I look forward to whiter teeth with continued use.

It has a clear mint flavour which isn’t too strong but definitely stays in your mouth, to the point I had to rinse my mouth a couple of times to get the sensation of it out of my mouth after I’d brushed. The toothpaste itself isn’t grainy at all and doesn’t stain lips as much as other purple toothpastes I’ve used in the past.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll admit, I’ve felt bombarded by ads for “miraculous” purple toothpastes and their whitening powers for the last 12 months or so. I wasn’t being fooled, I know my colour theory and was certain the effect would disappear as soon as I ate or drank anything. After trying out the Colgate Optic White Purple for a week, I take it back! Thanks to my chronic bruxism wearing away my enamel (plus my love of coffee) I’m no stranger to whitening treatments, although I haven’t undertaken any for about a year. On first use, the product was familiar. It had similar consistency and taste as other Colgate toothpastes - fresh and not too overpowering. The purple was a bit of a novelty too. Results are instant, although subtle. Definitely saw more of an improvement over the course of week, and with regular use whitening effect is lasting well. I also noted is it doesn’t seem to over-correct and leave obvious purple on teeth - rinsing afterwards is a must!

The texture of the the toothpaste is closer to regular toothpaste which is great as other brands can be watery. It also tastes pretty good and doesn't stain your toothbrush. It doesn't correct the colour as much as I would have hoped but it does a pretty good job. I will definitely buy it again.

I found the toothpaste left my mouth feeling clean and fresh like any other Colgate toothpaste, however after a few weeks of use twice a day (morning and evening) I can’t say that my teeth are any whiter then before I started using this product. Overall, good toothpaste if you want clean teeth, and the purple is kind of fun, but probably won’t make a huge difference to the whiteness of your teeth. I will probably go back to using my regular Colgate total toothpaste.
