Colgate Optic White Purple Toothpaste removes surface stains* and neutralises yellow tones** with micro-polishing action.

Colgate Optic White Purple Toothpaste combines micro-polishing whitening technology with the excitement of purple colour correction technology. It safely removes surface stains* and also neutralises yellow tones**. This whitening toothpaste is good for daily use, enamel safe, and the fluoride toothpaste formula provides protection against cavities.

I took before and after photos, and really didn’t notice any dramatic changes, maybe the slightest bit whiter. As a coffee drinker, I’m always looking for a toothpaste that can keep the stains at bay, but this fell a little short for my liking. Maybe if you’re not a big coffee drinker, this would work better for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brighter and whiter [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Colgate optic White purple toothpaste for about two weeks and pleasantly surprised that the results my teeth are noticeably brighter and whiter. The longer I've been using it the brighter they are getting. Ash drink lots of tea and coffee. I was pleased to find I experienced no sensitivity which I have previously had with other whitening products. I would recommend this to friends

Pleasant flavour & smell, you don’t need much at all which helps makes it last well. I personally didn’t notice a huge improvement, however my teeth aren’t in the best condition anyway which probably doesn’t help haha. There was a slight shade change though so I would definitely consider using again in future.

I didn’t really find it improved the colour of my teeth, however it did stain my tongue each time I brushed my teeth. I’m going to continue using it, because it’s not bad - but Colgate offers better products for teeth whitening. It might be good for you if you have really sensitive gums though.

I found the packaging great with the stand-up lid. Good sized tube. Nice mint flavour which was quite strong and refreshing. I didn't find a dramatic difference or whitening to my teeth over the 7 days of use, although my teeth did feel nice and clean.

The purple toothpaste colour is a bit different, but the taste is nice and minty which I loved. However I don’t think my teeth look any whiter, or that yellow stains have been removed. Perhaps you need to use the product for a longer period to see a difference. I will keep using though as I like the fresh taste and hope to see some whitening results in the future!

Easy to use. In terms of whitening effect, I personally didn't notice anything but I had friends and colleagues comment that my teeth look whiter without them knowing I was trying a new toothpaste. Since we are our own worst critics I think that must say something about the effect. However, the thing that I disliked about the product was the purple colour. Not sure if it is a necessity based on the ingredients or a marketing effect. But it makes a horrendous mess. Purple mouth, purple towels, purple sink. Not great. For me, this is the let down and I probably won't purchase for this reason. But for whitening, apparently noticeable effects after a week!

I used this toothpaste morning and night and only noticed the slightest difference in the the colour of my teeth. I'm sure that after about a month's use you would notice a real difference, but I think you would have to continue the use of the purple toothpaste to keep the whiteness of your teeth. I had to make sure to brush my teeth before putting any makeup on as it would stain my mouth and lips. You also have to be careful and rice every drop in the basin because it will stain and leave purple drops.

Take care to rinse the drain when spitting into the sink, as the strong colour is quite apparent and may stain the ceramic.

I feel with consistency and perseverance this toothpaste will work wonders for those that need a little extra whitening help that normal toothpaste can’t provide. The taste is subtle however could be a little more minty, I like the feeling of a really thorough clean when brushing my teeth and unfortunately I didn’t feel like this toothpaste does as good a job at cleaning teeth and gums. I understand there are stronger products out there with harsher ingredients if you are after something more obvious or if you have heavily stained teeth, however if you are after a subtle whitening effect and a gentle product this may be for you. I didn’t experience any stinging or burning nor any sensitivity after use so that is a great plus for me.

Even after rinsing my mouth with water multiple times, i was still spitting out purple. It’s definitely a toothpaste to use at night to avoid purple lips when you leave the house.
