The product also lathers really well in the hair. It's cleans the hair really well but doesn't strip and dry out the hair completely which some shampoos can do on my hair. My scalp feels hydrated but also clean at the same time. I've definitely noticed a change in my hair after using this products for 8 weeks. it feels and looks healthier, happier, hydrated and shinier which is amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hydrating shampoo.

I have dry hair so this shampoo has so many benefits and actually does help with dry and damaged hair types. It also smells great. Another bonus is the packaging. The actual bottle itself is super easy to use and so convenient and the bottles so unique, different to all your basic bottles. If you have dry or damage hair types try this shampoo along with the conditioner and it makes the perfect combination to help you hair!!

I found Matrix Food - Soft Hydrating Shampoo to be absolutely perfect for my hair. The shampoo cleansed my hair and was great when needing to remove product. The powerful cleanse didn’t dry my hair and it left my hair feeling smooth, soft and stronger. I found that the shampoo lathered up really easy. There was also a great scent to the shampoo – it wasn’t overpowering, I wish it had lasted longer in my hair as it smelt so amazing.

The packaging is simple and doesn’t take up too much space with a pleasant scent. This is a really good rotating shampoo to have in my shower and stands up well against other matrix products I have tried before, I would genuinely repurchase this. Others that used this while at my house also enjoyed and complimented how their hair felt and looked after one use which is pretty impressive. I look forward to also trying more products in the range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who uses olaplex usually I am always pretty weary of trying new things, but this product was so amazing! The packaging is beautiful and easy to store in a bathroom/shower and the smell was amazing as well, I found the peppermint also helped with having my hair smell cleaner and it felt nice on the back of my neck!. I also found that it left my hair super soft for a few days after and I didn’t feel like there was a product build up in my hair as well, I also like how soapy this product got as usually when I am cleaning my hair - I like it to sud up a bit.

I had been on the hunt for a new shampoo and this one definitely fulfilled my expectations. After washing my hair the first time it felt really soft and fresh, it also smelt amazing. After continued use of the product I noticed my hair felt really healthy and the time between my usual wash days extended from 3 to 4 days. I really liked the packaging, however the colour is quite distracting in the bathroom so that would be my only criticism. I loved the product and will definitely continue using after the trial.

I really enjoyed this product, paired with the conditioner. I suddenly had dandruff (never had it before) when I started using this product and it helped to clear the dandruff. This product smells incredible and leaves hair smelling amazing for days. It made my hair very hydrated and incredibly soft. The packaging is stunning, the green is eye catching. I have raved about this product to many people and highly highly recommend it.

I always pick up the next best "smoothing" product to try and tame it without weighing it down. This Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo has been the best I have tried in many many years!! The consistency is creamy and it worked through the hair easily with a great scent, it doesn't feel heavy and weigh the hair down and starts to detangle almost immediately as you work it through. The results noticeable the minute you rinse the hair out it is detangled and so soft and smooth! I was so excited to feel my hair so soft and smooth and once followed up with conditioner and dried my frizz was visibly reduced and my hair was so hydrated. Be warned a little goes a long way with this product with my long thick hair I seemed to assumed I would need a lot of product (as I normally do) but this was not the case with the Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo a small amount goes a long way. I will continue to buy and use the Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner.

My hair has been unmanageable recently, oily scalp, always tangling and very dry on the ends. This shampoo has helped immensely! The shampoo is nice and soft, lathers nicely and a little goes a long way. I can feel my hair being cleansed, without stripping my ends. I have been double cleansing, first with a clarifying shampoo and then with this shampoo. This routine has really helped my hair. It is softer and more managable. The only downside is the strong scent. It's not bad, just strong, as it sticks to your hair afterwards. Overall, I will be purchasing again!

On first impressions, the packaging was great, aesthetically pleasing and super easy to use. There is a sweet subtle scent that wasn't overpowering but still smelt amazing! After using the shampoo and conditioner twice to three times a week for over a month, I noticed a big difference in the condition of my hair. I have quite fine hair and the ends usually get very dry from using heat and the roots very oily quickly due to the density. The smapoo lathered very well and felt like it was actually cleaning my scalp. The conditioner felt nourishing, without being too oily and rinsed well. I noticed a big difference with the texture of my hair being more consistant and the ends looking more healthy, shiny and soft. I would definitely recommend these products to anyone looking for their next holy grail!

Both the shampoo and conditioner have a really nice smell that leaves your hair smelling nice even after a few days since it has been washed. This product is super affordable and goes a long way, only need a little bit of product for each wash . I will definitely be buying these products again along with the hair serum they have.

Alot of the shampoo on the market at the moment weigh my hair down after washing and leave a slightly greasy texture on my hair after blow dry however, this shampoo not only smell good, but it doesnt weigh down my hair, it leaves it silky soft (use along with the conditioner) and it give me a bit of volume (i have long straight black hair hence top of my head always look flat). You don't need alot of product as little will lather up enough for your whole head. Highly recommend this shampoo. Will repurchase.

It left my hair feeling soft and not heavy like other hydrating shampoos previously have. A little goes a long way, it foams up great and lathers into your hair without having to use much at all. It even worked really well on my toddler’s unruly curly hair that nothing seems to tame, it was easy to detangle his hair and left it super soft and contained his frizzy curls! I like the flat lid design so that it can be stored lid-side down. The shampoo has a really nice smell to it that is not overpowering, just a lovely smell. It leaves my hair nice and clean (always double shampoo) and so soft! I also found that a little goes a long way. That second shampoo was top notch. This is the first product by Matrix that I have used and I would definitely consider repurchasing.

I have very frizzy hair, which is quite difficult to manage, especially since I live in a humid area. This shampoo definitely helped soften my hair, and helped reduce some of the frizz. It didn't get rid of it completely, but I found it did a much better job than a lot of other shampoos I have tried. I also really liked the scent of this shampoo, and found that even in the shower it felt nice to use, and was easy to wash out. It was also not too runny, and easy to get out of the bottle - minor things, but still overall are nice to have. I would definitely recommend this product!

My hair, from being blonde, has become so dull. I tried the matrix hair shampoo and conditioner, and I feel that it has lifted my hair from being so dry to be in it has hydrated and revitalised my damaged dry hair from the gym. It has enabled me to cleanse my scalp and my dry ends but has left a hydrating touch to it. You only need a small amount which will allow a thorough cleanse. My hair is long so it goes a very long way to only use a small amount. It doesn’t strip my natural oils which a lot of other shampoos and conditioners do. I would recommend this to anyone who has dry hair, even for those people that are in the same position as me that are constantly bleaching or toning their hair.

I found that it did a great job hydrating the scalp and the roots but had minimal effect on the frizz. I didn't find this a problem to be honest as I still used a serum after drying. Great ingredients are used like the avocado oil and hylauronic acid and it smells amazing! I have had friends ask what product I was using because my hair was so shiny! I liked the packaging, it is fun and easy to find. I really liked this shampoo and would definitely purchase again.

It smells great, has great ingredients like avocado oil and helped keep my hair feeling soft and clean. Firstly, I love the packaging as it means I can store it so all the product flows to the bottom with ease. It's also very handy to hold due to the design, no awkward flat shaped bottles. It smells really nice, and feels great in the hair. I use it with a shampoo brush and find it lathers nicely to give me a deep clean. It washes out with no issues and leaves my hair feeling a lot softer.

I loved how this shampoo soaped up so easily and left my scalp and hair feeling so clean. I also found it didn't tangle my hair when I would scrub through my scalp like other shampoos do and then I get a lot of breakage as I would normally have to comb my wet hair in the shower to detangle. But I didn't need to do that with this shampoo. I loved the smell of this shampoo it wasn't too overpowering. I have noticed such a difference with the ends of my hair being so much more hydrated. My ends are usually really dry and brittle however after using this shampoo they feel so healthy it feels like I've just come back from the salon. Would definitely recommend.

I wash my hair daily and with most other shampoos and conditioners I find that I need to top my hair up (especially my ends) with oils, leave in treatments or after wash treatments when dry. With this duo, however, I need not do that anymore! Absolutely love how moisturising it is and what’s even better is the smell! The smell of the shampoo and conditioner lasts on my hair from the moment I apply it in the shower until I wash my hair the next day. Even on those occasions where I’ve gone 2 days without washing my hair still smells amazing. I will note that a little goes a long way which means if you put too much, your hair can feel a little slimy after washing but this also means the products last longer than average. I would purchase for sure, but would probably look for it when it’s on sale - $15-18 would be slightly more palatable given the size of the bottle.

This product smelt delicious and even better I noticed that after using this product my hair felt visibly smoother. I have already recommended this product to my friends as it really did work wonders on my hair. Although you only use a small amount of product each time you wash your hair, I did find that I went through this 300ml bottle quite quickly due to having long hair. However, this is no reflection on the product itself, just that I will need to buy more. I will definitely be purchasing this shampoo again.

I've had compliments on my hair since the first time using it and I've NEVER experienced that before. Super hydrating and has made my hair soft and shiney. Ive tried a lot of different hair products on my waist length dyed blonde wavy hair and this one and the conditioner takes the cake. I also used on my daughters very long ringlet curly hair and her hair was so easy to manage afterwards as well as being very hydrated, soft and shiny. Will continue buying this set for sure.

It is light weight and non-greasy and yet it cleaned my bleached blonde hair without causing any further damage or breakage! It thoroughly cleaned my hair without stripping it of its natural oils too! I loved it! The bottle is extremely easy to disperse the product and you only need the smallest amount to cleanse long and thick hair! I also loved the smell of this shampoo and it did not smell like chemicals. I feel like after using this product for quite some time that my hair feels longer and stronger than ever before! I also feel that this shampoo is very good at nourishing over processed hair and seemed to improve the overall condition of my hair after using it twice a week for over a month! I would definitely recommend this shampoo if you have bleached blonde hair because it does a great job in keeping it in the best condition possible! I also loved the bottle and I will continue to buy and use this shampoo as I am totally sold on it! It's like a high-quality beauty salon shampoo but at a fraction of the price and the ingredients are extremely kind on bleached and over-processed blonde hair.

But I can tell you now this will be my new shampoo ! I have used this for a few weeks now and my hair is left feeling soft clean and NOT oily. I love that a little bit bit goes along way meaning the product lasts a while. I love the bright green packaging it feels expensive even though the price is affordable ! I love love love this product ! And will continue to buy it once my sample runs out !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nourishes hair and adds shine I love the matrix brand and this hydrating shampoo is perfect for my thick hair. It has a really creamy luxurious consistency and lathers up and rinses off well, full of goodies to nourish and feed my hair, it leaves my hair soft and shiny and really clean with little effort. I recommend using the matching conditioner for best results and to detangle and contain frizz. It has a pleasant scent and is really good value for money as a little goes a long way. I would purchase this shampoo again and would recommend it

I found that it left a faint smell in my hair for a few days even after using it. I found that the shampoo did an alright job of removing grease from my hair, but I just needed to use a fair bit of product to do a good job. But once I got a good lather going it worked really well. Overall, paired with the conditioner, it also left my hair tangle free and less frizzy than with other products. I haven't used Matrix products before, but I am definitely keen to try out more of their products. I would recommend this range to any of my friends with damaged hair or issues with knots.
