Directions

Apply a quarter size amount of product, lather and rinse. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately. Follow with Conditioner or Treatment Mask & Oil.

My hair is very curly and was hoping this shampoo would ease some of the frizz. Unfortunately didn’t accomplish those results. However, I do love this product it left my hair feeling soft. I was surprised that a little product of both the shampoo and conditioner went a long way and left my hair feeling very hydrated! This product also smells so good and lasts for days! I do think overall it is a bit expensive - but overall I recommend this product to you especially if you struggle with dandruff or dry hair. I recommend these products and will be buying again!

For reference, I have very long hair which is fine but very dense. It has a pleasant smell and texture which lathers up easily. I found it perfect for my hair - hydrating but lightweight - and loved that it didn’t flatten or weigh down my fine hair. It left my hair feeling insanely soft and cleansed my scalp well. I don’t know how people with very oily scalps would go with it though. Overall I have really enjoyed using this product and will continue to use it and would repurchase in the future once it runs out.

It smells pretty great and left my hair smelling pretty good after each and every wash. It left my hair feeling very soft and fluffy over the few weeks that I used this product. I feel like my hair was in better condition after using the Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo. The packaging is eye catching and unique and very hard to miss. I would recommend this procduct to anyone who wants to have soft, fluffy, hydrated and shiny hair.

What I love most about this shampoo is the shine it adds to my hair. After just a few uses, I noticed a significant improvement in the overall lustre and vitality of my blonde locks. Recently have just given birth, and the postpartum hair loss and hair issues have been driving me crazy. My hair has been lacking shine, health and just an overall feeling of unhealthy. I incorporated this shampoo as part of my hairwash routine and can officially say I am noticing a difference to the health of my hair. I found it had a nice smell, nothing too overpowering or in your face and the formula was very creamy. It doesn’t “soap up” a lot but a little product goes a long way and my hair was left feeling very clean and very soft. I did enjoy it but I probably won’t purchase this specific one again, I will go back to my regular Matrix shampoo and use this if I feel my hair starting to dry up. I would definitely recommend this.

I have to say the Matrix Food for Soft Hydrating Shampoo was very good. I have very dry/frizzy hair normally and have tried many products to try and help this. Whilst it did not fix the frizz it did make my hair feel very hydrated and made it more manageable. It didn’t make it look greasy and I liked the consistency it wasn’t to thick and was easy to wash out. I really liked the packaging. I would be very happy to purchase this product in the future I was happy with the results.

After trialling this shampoo and conditioner for a couple of months, I've noticed a difference in my hair. My hair is more hydrated, has less fly aways, and is easier to manage. Even though they're hydrating, I find that it works a lot better when used with a hair oil afterwards. The scent was my favourite thing about this shampoo - slightly fruity, slightly musky, and not overpowering. The only downside was the packaging - it's a bit filmsy and could be improved upon.

It also makes my hair feel incredibly soft which being a blonde I love that about any shampoo!! The downside for me on this product was my hair seemed to go oily really quickly after using it! Didn’t seem to leave it feeling as clean as other shampoos I’ve used from matrix have! Overall I so like the small and would recommend to people! I was pleased when i first opened the bottle and could smell the nice, fruity scent. The dispenser easily gave a correct amount of product and went easy on the hair. The lather was nice, but i do prefer a soapier lather. However, i found the product easily spread over the head and smelt nice whilst massaging in. I was then able to rinse out the product with ease and found it left my hair feeling clean and refreshed.

I had not thought about needing a hydrating shampoo, but my hair has never felt so soft. We had a 8 week trial period so it was so good to feel the effects over a longer period of time. The product left my hair feeling nice and soft and hydrated. The downside for me was that my hair lacked shine and smoothness in how it looked, however it did feel super soft to touch. It doesn't have a strong scent which I liked. The packaging is sleek and easy to use and I like that you can see how much product is left in the bottle.

I have an oily scalp however, so when I use this shampoo on it’s own, I can tell that my hair gets oilier faster. I do, however, use it as a first and sometimes second shampoo. This shampoo has a nice, lightweight consistency which foams up really well and removes oil from my hair effectively. I follow up with a shampoo suited more for oily hair and I notice that by using this shampoo first, it doesn’t leave me hair feeling stripped. Overall, this shampoo fits into my hairwash routine and I am happy with what it does for my hair.

Not only does it have lots of good ingredients to help soften and hydrate your hair like avocado oil, but I also found that it gave me some added volume! As someone with thin hair this is definitely a bonus. Unlike some other hydrating hair products it didn't weigh my hair down (the frequent problem with having thinner hair). It smelled lovely and lathered easily. All good bits and the bottle is easy to use and store as it stands up without issue. I paired this with the conditioner from the same range and loved the results.

I really enjoyed using this shampoo - I typically stick to the one brand as I’ve found a shampoo that works for me but I’m always open to trying new ones in the hope that I find some other alternatives. The scent was really nice - I love a strong smelling shampoo so this was a massive pair I’ve for me. It may be too overpower for some people but I really enjoyed it The shampoo was creamy and just felt nice to use. It left my hair feeling nice and clean and soft. It was nice to use in combination with the matching conditioner. I have fine hair and I often find products leave my hair ‘heavy’ but this was okay and just felt hydrating. All up I’d look to purchase this product again in the future as k enjoyed using it.

It had a nice light scent, lathered up decently and cleansed hair well. I find some hydrating shampoos to weigh my hair down, which this one definitely did not. It left my hair feeling hydrated but not looking stringy or oily afterwards. It definitely helped with frizz a bit, more than most shampoos I have used. My hair felt very healthy, clean and smooth after use. However, on its own its probably not enough to hydrate the hair. It pairs up nicely with other hydrating products such as their conditioner, leave in conditioners and serums, but if you want it to provide the hydrating benefits fully on its own, its not for you. Its not drying, but not enough for someone with very dry hair. Overall its a nice product that I would recommend to most people. For reference I have dry, frizzy, wavy hair and struggle with a dry scalp.

This was my first time trying a product from this brand and it claimed that it will make your hair feel nice and soft. It did do the job it said it would do, although I have a mixed hair type between oily and dry. I was interested to see how this would affect my hair and to my surprise it did quite well. The scent is great and very easy to work with, you will be wanting to wash your hair all the time.

I did not feel I had to use much, as a lot seemed to go a long way. My hair felt quite hydrated after use and also very smooth. My hair has been damaged after colouring for many years and on the mend. This product has definitely helped my hair mend from being damaged and dry. I also get frizz at times and this product seemed to reduce it. The shampoo had a good smell to it and I got many compliments after using about the smell of my hair. The bottle it comes in too makes it easy to use unlike other bottles of shampoo. I would definitely use this product again and also recommend it to friends/family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hydrating shampoo that adds shine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never heard of Matrix before so I wasn't sure what to expect from the brand and the Food for Soft Shampoo and Conditioner. I trialled both Shampoo and Conditioner over a period of about 2 months. For my hair type, which is fine and can get oily and irritated at the roots, the products worked to nourish and soothe my scalp. I felt my hair looked healthier, shinier and smoother after continued use and both Shampoo and Conditioner effectively dealt with my dry ends which were particularly unhappy during winter. The downside was that I had to shampoo daily to keep grease on my roots at bay and I felt that my hair was weighed down and had less volume while I was using these products. The smell is subtle and pleasant, it does not last on my hair throughout the day but I don't mind that at all. I would continue using these during cooler / dryer months, as and when my hair needs a hydration boost and I would recommend these products to friends or family with more dry or coarse hair than me.

Perfect for dry, damaged hair types, this shampoo is lightly cleansing and not at all stripping. It has a lightly sweet scent that isn’t overpowering, so could be considered for anyone sensitive to smells. As a blonde with dry, bleached hair, this shampoo is one of the best I’ve tried. As it only lightly cleansing, it functions best as a second shampoo for me, as it doesn’t remove build up very well. Overall, this is a great option for anyone that finds other shampoos to be drying and stripping and wants to maintain moisture in their hair.

The packaging of the shampoo and conditioner is very modern and attractive, visually appealing and looks good in my shower. In addition, the flip top caps make dispensing the product really easy. The conditioner is also flipped so that the flip top caps are on the bottom which not only makes the bottles easy to distinguish from each other, but also allows the conditioner to come out easier as it it a bit thicker than the shampoo. The shampoo and conditioner smelt really fresh and the scent lasted in my hair all day and even the day after. The shampoo lathers well, while the conditioner felt rich and moisturising. After using it for a couple of weeks, I have noticed that my hair is a lot less tangled and super soft.

The shampoo also has a really pleasant smell that I found would hang around long after I had washed it. The bottle is also really easy to get the product out of as it's quite flexible to squeeze. I would only ask for a slightly bigger bottle to last a bit longer. My hair felt hydrated and nourished after using the Matrix food for soft hydrating shampoo combined with the same conditioner. It has lasted significantly longer for us than most bottles shampoo and the size is on the smaller side of what is available in supermarkets today. I really enjoyed the scent of the shampoo, I am the type of person who loved the smell of freshly washed hair and it left a very nice lingering scent. I appreciated that the shampoos thicker consistency probably attributed to the need to use less. I also tend to concentrate my shampoo purely to the scalp area to avoid unnecessarily drying out my ends. Even still I felt this shampoo had a nourishing side that did not strip my hair after the application. Used in conjunction with the conditioner and it worked a treat for me and my family.

It hydrated my hair and made it feel healthier and softer in a matter of a few washes. I have frizzy combinations oil roots dry end hair and it actually left my hair feeling amazing. It was definitely less frizzy and felt smoother longer. It also helped with the oilness and actually made my hair last longer between washes. I would recommend this to anyone with frizzy combination oily dry hair. I have already suggested to my sister to try this product out.
