Directions

Following shampoo, apply from mid lengths to ends and leave on one minute. Rinse. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately. Follow with Oil.

Overall I seriously loveeeed this conditioner!! The shampoo was not great, didnt cleanse enough and left my hair feeling unclea, thought he conditioner really brought a beautiful softness, shine and flow to my hair. It looked super healthy and hydrated! The product is super easy to squeeze out, smells fresh and green, though I dont love the look of the bottle. I would re-purchase this, but not the shampoo. Price is slightly high for what it is.

I've tried a lot of different conditioners over the years, but I've never found one that really made a difference in how easy it is to brush my hair or how soft and smooth it feels. That is, until I tried Matrix Food for Soft Detangling Conditioner. This conditioner is enriched with avocado oil and hyaluronic acid, which are two ingredients that are known for their moisturising and detangling properties. It also has a pleasant, light scent. When I use this conditioner, my hair feels soft, smooth, and manageable. It's also much easier to brush, and the tangles are significantly reduced. My hair also feels lighter and less weighed down after using this conditioner. I've been using this conditioner for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed with the results. My hair is noticeably less frizzy and easier to manage. I also find that my hair looks healthier and shinier.

First off the packaging was very appealing I love the lime green colour! I also really enjoyed the sweet caramel/vanilla scent they both have, I especially could smell the scent once my hair was dried as well. The conditioner was my favourite out of the two and it's something I would definitely consider purchasing again. I loved how silky it made my hair and really enjoyed the quality and thickness of the product. While the shampoo was pleasant smelling and good quality lather it's definitely not the right product for my hair type. I have pretty oily roots and dry ends and even after two shampoos I didn't really feel that nice clean hair feeling I get from other shampoos. I do feel however if you had dry hair that this would work really well as it's very luxe and moisturising. Overall I think both products are of great value and given the price they definitely warrant the quality.

I wash my hair daily and with most other shampoos and conditioners I find that I need to top my hair up (especially my ends) with oils, leave in treatments or after wash treatments when dry. With this duo, however, I need not do that anymore! This means the conditioner definitely lives up to its detangling claims. Absolutely love how moisturising it is and what’s even better is the smell! The smell of the shampoo and conditioner lasts on my hair from the moment I apply it in the shower until I wash my hair the next day. Even on those occasions where I’ve gone 2 days without washing my hair still smells amazing. I will note that a little goes a long way which means if you put too much, your hair can feel a little slimy after washing but this also means the products last longer than average. I would purchase for sure, but would probably look for it when it’s on sale - $15-18 would be slightly more palatable given the size of the bottle.

So so good for curly or wavy hair. My hair is highlightened blonde, wavy/frizzy and almost down to my bottom. This left it super easy to manage, hydrated, and extremely shiny. I've had compliments on my hair since the first time using it and I've NEVER experienced that before. Super hydrating which is what us wavy curly girls need. I also straightened my hair after using and was told by numerous people it looked as though id just been to the salon (i havent had my hair done in 8 weeks). Will continue buying this set for sure.

During the colder months my hair needs much more hydration and if it doesn't get enough my hair becomes really frizzy and it doesn't look healthy or shiny. I used this conditioner with the matching shampoo and so far I really like the product. The conditioner has a nice scent which I always prefer because then it leaves my hair with a nice fragrance too. It's creamy and I apply it to the middle and ends of my hair, combing it through and then letting it sit for several minutes before washing it out. This is so my hair has time to absorb the product and allow the ingredients to penetrate. My hair gets tangled easily and this conditioner helps to detangle and soften my hair. Brushing my hair is much easier and the conditioner keeps my hair hydrated without weighing it down which is excellent. Since using it my hair is less frizzy and it feels softer.

It smelt divine and I felt it really improved the texture and moisture content of my hair over time! It is not too thick and not too thin and it is very easy to apply after shampooing! I actually let it sit in my hair for a couple of minutes before I rinsed it out as I felt like it did an extremely good job at conditioning my hair. It also assisted in removing some major knots in my hair that half the time my other usual hair conditioner struggles to remove! I like how it easily melt into my hair and I felt like it was very good at smoothing my hair follicles down as they often become dry and frizzy after I wash and condition my hair! I would definitely recommend this conditioner for any one with heavily bleached hair as it really does a good job at conditioning it! Overall, I will definitely buy this conditioner again as I had no sticky residue left in my hair and rinsing it out and I felt like it brought my hair back to life!

My hair is dry, damaged and always frizzy. I trialled this conditioner in combination with the Matrix Food For Soft shampoo for a couple of months and found that it has made my hair softer and easier to manage on the whole. For my hair to be frizz-free though, I found that I still needed to apply a hair oil afterwards. The consistency of the conditioner makes it thick enough to stay put in your hair while you let it work, but also not so thick that you need a large amount to adequately cover all of your hair. The scent is wonderful - it is sweet, but slightly musky, and it did not leave an overpowering scent after washing it out. Overall, I think this is a great conditioner and would recommend it.

I found it was decent at tackling frizz, but not the best conditioner I have found for that, so that was my only complaint. Otherwise, my hair felt great afterwards. It also has a super nice smell, which I appreciate. I also like the fact that the bottle opens for the bottom, which is just overall easier to use when it comes to thicker conditioners. The first thing i noticed was the incredible smell. The bottle dispenses a fair amount at a small squeeze and i found a small amount covered my medium length, thin hair. I really enjoyed this product, paired with the shampoo i found my hair to be hydrated. I do not feel it improved my dead ends/friziness, but i do feel it improved the dry brittle feel of my hair. The packaging is nice, the green is pleasant but my favourite of this product was the smell. I do enjoy this product and would recommend it to anyone who asked

I found this conditioner left my hair with no knots and super soft. It helped reduce the frizz and my hair was silky smooth. Recently have just given birth, and the postpartum hair loss and hair issues have been driving me crazy. My hair has been lacking shine, health and just an overall feeling of unhealthy. I incorporated this conditioner (paired with shampoo) as part of my hairwash routine and can officially say I am noticing a difference to the health of my hair. It is pleasant smelling, takes up minimal space in my shower and a only requires a small amount to have a good lather. I was lucky enough to trial this conditioner along with the shampoo which I didn’t much care for, but the conditioner did its job at hydrating smoothing an fighting frizz. I wash my hair 2 to 3 times per week and I trialed this conditioner for 8 weeks. Over the 8 weeks the ends of my hair we less dry and a lot more hydrated I will say it can weigh the hair down as it is quite a heavy product. The consistency is on the thicker side and a little product goes a long way. Overall this conditioner is okay.

This conditioner does an excellent job of detangling my hair, making it much easier to comb through after showering. It’s been a real time-saver for me. Not only does it help with tangles, but it also adds another layer of hydration to my hair, leaving it feeling soft and silky. I’ve noticed less frizz and improved manageability since I started using this conditioner. The scent is consistent with the shampoo – pleasant and not overpowering. It complements the shampoo perfectly. Like the shampoo, the only drawback is the packaging. I wish it were more environmentally friendly. Despite that, this conditioner is a great addition to my hair care routine and has made a noticeable difference in the health and appearance of my hair. Four stars!

This was my first time trying a product from this brand and it claimed that it will make your hair feel nice and soft. It did do the job it said it would do, although I have a mixed hair type between oily and dry. I was interested to see how this would affect my hair and to my surprise it did quite well. The scent is great and very easy to work with, you will be wanting to wash your hair all the time.

It left my hair feeling very smooth and soft and definitely helped reduce frizz. The smell wasn’t too overpowering and hung around for a day after washing. I love the Matrix range but this wasn’t the best one for my hair (curly, bleached hair) so will use this when I feel my hair starting to dry up but won’t repurchase.

I colour my regularly, including some highlights, so I do have a bit of damage as well. I really loved the fun and vibrant packaging and the smell was lovely - it does linger lightly after your hair dries, but I really enjoy that. The conditioner was on the thicker side but I didn’t have too much trouble distributing it through my mid-lengths or ends. I noticed after my first wash (in combo with the shampoo) that it was very hydrating, to the point it weighed my hair down. I do typically go for something a little more lightweight in my conditioner since my hair is so fine. After several weeks of using this product, I would say that it did make my hair softer and shinier - at the risk of being greasy. However, I would definitely recommend it to a friend who has thicker hair or needs that extra hydration.

It definitely made my ends noticeably softer immediately after using, however with regular use I haven’t noticed a huge longer lasting difference. I have fine hair with ends that get very tangled when I wash them and this conditioner did live up to its name and help to de tangle them. I found the range not super suitable for my hair as it’s very dry through the middle and ends but with oily roots and the shampoo was a little too heavy so it weighed my hair down. For this reason I started using the conditioner as a treatment once a week and found it really helped my dry scalp too. I’ll keep using it in this way but would only recommend to friends with thicker & drier roots.

The formula is thick and sinks into the hair easily. It rinses out, leaving your hair, feeling silky smooth, but still light. Are usually only apply it to the ends because I have an oily scalp and I found this kept my ends nice and smooth. Overall I really enjoyed this formula, especially the smell as I was applying and it left my hair feeling silky and soft without weighing it down. As with the shampoo, I would have liked the smell to last longer in my hair.

Its definitely very hydration, and fights frizz. My hair would dry in a way that didnt leave it looking poofy and dry (rare for my thin curly hair). It has a nice subtle scent and a nice consistency. However, its not as detangling as I would like. I brush my hair in the shower with a wide tooth comb and I still struggled a bit while having this in my hair. I am also prone to getting acne on my back from conditioners. I am pretty sure this has unfortunately caused my back to break out, despite washing my back after use. However I cant be sure that it was this product that caused it over other causes. Just be aware that if you are prone to back acne this might break you out. Overall its a lovely conditioner that will leave your hair feeling amazing without weighing it down or looking stringy. However, if you are acne prone and/or want something very detangling, this may not be for you.

The texture is creamy and easy to apply. I usually leave it in for a bit before rinsing, and it does help detangle my hair to some extent. Once I'm done, my hair feels soft and smooth. On the flip side, it's not a complete miracle worker. Some knots still need a bit of effort to untangle, especially because my hair is long. Also, the scent doesn't stick around for too long. It's not perfect, but it's a solid choice with a pleasant scent

I have been looking for a way to hydrate my ends, as they are temperamental and hard to manage. I normally have to stick to a hydrating conditioner, but it can sometimes be heavy. This conditioner was great and made my hair softer and helped with detangling. The only downside is the scent, as it is a bit overpowering. If you are sensitive to strong smells, this might be a skip. The scent is not bad, just strong and it sticks to your hair afterwards. Overall a good conditioner and does its job!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shani from Nice [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Matrix Food for Soft Detangling conditioner in conjunction with the Hydrating Shampoo for about two months now and I have been liking it. I like the flat lid design so that it can be stored lid-side down. The conditioner has a really nice smell to it that is not overpowering, just a lovely smell. My hair doesn’t feel super amazing after using the conditioner, but it does feel nice. This is the first product by Matrix that I have used and I would definitely consider repurchasing.
