Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great every day foundation [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the texture of this foundation, it spread well and provided enough coverage. I generally choose foundations with a dewy finish so was quite surprised to find that I liked the finish of this foundation and it actually reminds me of another high end foundation I use. It’s a very natural, skin like finish and does not look cakey at all. It plays well with my skin care and did not separate for me. I found the colour stayed true and I did not notice any oxidisation either. All in all a great foundation and one that I would wear daily especially for work as the staying power was great too.

I tried it out on a very hot day here in Northern NSW and spent the day walking and at the beach. The foundation stayed on perfectly and did not cause my face to get clogged and sweaty. Its a really nice breathable base and the colour matching was almost perfect. Slightly on the orange side but it is hard to choose the perfect foundation shade online when trying out a new brand. I would buy this foundation instead of the expensive brand I have been using continuously for the past few years. A great addition to anyone's make up cabinet.

I received the lightest shade, which was the perfect shade for my skin. The product has no fragrance, is nicely packaged and the pump works well, with just the right amount being dispensed in each pump. I do not recommend using with any oil based cleanser or moisturiser before applying this foundation, as it will affect its longevity and you may look cakey. It is not full coverage, it is only a light foundation, which can be layered with concealer and finished with powder. I have been a fan of Maybelline products for a long time and am pleased with their new products.

Application - it was easy to glide on just using my fingertips, it didn't get sticky or tacky. It is quite full coverage if you are after that, but it's also possible to do a thin layer to get a more sheer effect. I wouldn't say it looked "luminous" - to me it just seemed like a matte makeup. However it was not at all dry or cakey like some matte makeups are prone to be. It was indeed longwear - it lasted all day until I removed my makeup but then came off easily with micellar water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super lightweight [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to be part of the Review Crew for the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation because I have oily skin and always looking for a matte foundation. So the foundation comes in a nice 35ml glass bottle with a super cute pastel pump lid. The product it self seams fragrance free, it's super light and non-greasy. I used the foundation on cleansed skin after moisturising and applying sunscreen, it went nicely on top of my mineral sunscreen and did not pill and blends on the skin nicely. It's also buildable, but I prefer a medium coverage so one application is enough for me. I live in a hot and humid city and I have a oily t-zone, so it's hard for me to find a foundation stays on my face all day. I was impressed by the foundation it did stay all day, but there was some shine on my t-zone by the end of the day. Overall I like the foundation, I like the light weight and hydrating feel, I wish it was a little more matte on me but I am quiet oily and do live in a humid city.

It applies nice and smoothly, and is easy to spread across the skin’s surface. After applying, it isn’t noticeable that I have a lot of foundation on, leaving my skin looking natural. The colour match was pretty good too. I also like the solid glass bottle design, but the plastic lid isn’t my favourite and doesn’t seem to match the thick and solid design of the rest of the bottle. The pump feature works well to get a good amount of product. I would recommend this as an everyday foundation.

Its watery, ultra-light texture blends easily into the skin, giving a smooth, even finish. The coverage is light to medium, perfect for evening out skin tone and blurring minor imperfections without feeling heavy or cakey. The foundation has a soft matte glow that looks healthy and natural, making it ideal for normal to dry skin. It doesn’t cling to dry patches or settle into fine lines, so it’s very forgiving on those skin types. However, if you have oily or combination skin, you’ll need to set it with powder—especially around the T-zone—because it can break down after a few hours. With powder and maybe a primer, it holds up much better, lasting about 5-6 hours. It’s comfortable to wear all day, feeling super lightweight and breathable. This does oxidise slightly so be mindful when choosing your shade. If you’re looking for full coverage, this might not be the right fit, as it’s really more about enhancing your natural skin. This foundation is buildable and provides nice coverage for all occasions while being long-lasting and natural. I was surprised that it lasted throughout the day while also sitting nicely on the skin even on a hot day. I liked how the packaging is a pump that is easy to use, however, the glass bottle is on the heavier side so I wouldn’t recommend it while travelling as it is quite heavy. I am happy with the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation and would recommend to anyone with oily skin who wants a lightweight foundation that provides coverage and is long-lasting.

I would recommend that if you have oliy skin or if your skin can get oily throughout the day definitely set it with setting powder. I wouldn't consider this foundation to very buildable due to how dewy it is, I think it could leave most people looking a little oily. I consider it to be light to medium coverage, enough coverage to cover imperfections and light enough to be worn everyday. Packaging is clean and simple, easy pump action to get product out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great foundation, shade range needs some work [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone with sensory issues, there is nothing that I hate more than when the foundation I wear feels heavy and like a 'layer' sitting over the skin, so when I got to try the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation I was so happy about the lightweight texture it has! It genuinely feels invisible on the skin and leaves your skin so soft to the touch. I found that it left my skin with a natural, soft air-brushed finish and texture which I loved! It is pretty much a 'your skin but better' foundation, which is a big YES for me. The only issue I had with the foundation was its shade range. As someone with a fair olive skin tone, I found that the available shade range does not currently cater to my complexion which is disappointing, as I would really love to continue wearing it.

I really like how easy this is apply, one small pump goes along way. I thought it was going to be too thick but covered my whole face easily. I don’t like a thick coverage so if you do then maybe a second pump would work. It covered my red marks and pigmentation and gave a natural look. As I have mature skin, I did find the Matte finish slightly dry but easy to apply a little oil over the top to give me back some moisture, the foundation coverage stayed all day and didn’t need me to add more whilst at work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too heavy not too light - just right [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thankyou to Beauty Crew for asking me to try the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation. The shade I chose (119) ended up being a little too dark for my skin but with some blending around my jaw line and down into my neck its not too noticeable. I like the shape of the glass bottle but the colour of the lid reminds me of little old ladies. This does not affect the performance at all! I really liked the coverage of this foundation. It's not sheer but not heavy "about to paint the town red" either so I don't look ridiculously overdone at my office job. The resulting look is just as its promoted as being, a luminous but matte type finish. If I dont touch my face it lasts all day from morning (7.30am) until after 6pm. I do like to use a powder to set, as I do with all my liquid foundations, and it still has a slightly luminous finish. It does not gather into my undereye wrinkles. I've used it every day for a week and have not had any outbreak of pimples which can sometimes happen if my skin doesn't like a particular product. The price point is very good and even better when on sale. I expect to be repurchasing this in the correct shade in the future and can recommend it.

I love the idea of a satin matte finish but was skeptical on how it would hold up against my skin type. Not only does it look beautiful on the skin, but it lasts a reasonable amount of time. It's absolutely perfect for day to day as a lightweight foundation with natural yet buildable coverage. Not a foundation I would reach for if I wanted to glam up, but I can definitely see myself wearing it a lot during casual makeup days.

The skin looks natural. Doesn't have a smell. Feel light not heavy really recommend this product because it’s very light and gives you the perfect skin tone and texture. So good smooth and light. Glow without shadow. Recommend it for daily wear. Perfect comfortable wear on skin. You can apple this at home and not even bring the foundation with you every where. Perfect long lasting foundation for hours. Love it. Of course I recommend it have to try it.

I liked how it sat on my skin because it was matte but not cakey. It dries down a bit darker than what it looks like in the bottle so be mindful when you’re choosing your shade. The formula was comfortable on my skin and worked well under my powder makeup. If you have oily skin I would still recommend setting with powder but not as much as you would use for a skin tint. I was very happy that it has a pump because other Maybelline foundations I have tried did not which makes it super hard to apply. I like that it is an affordable price!

The product was easy to use and apply. The squirt bottle is so easy to use and disperses the perfect amount. It generally went on smoothly, however I found it went alittle funny (cakey-ish) when used over some of my moisturisers and face sunscreens which was alittle unfortunately. The finish was light, natural and dewy. It resembled lovely glowy skin. It lasted reasonably well, however I did need to reapply or touch up around 2pm (7ish hours after application. It was nice, but not one of my favourites.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect long lasting matte look [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found it easy to apply this light weight foundation that left my skin looking radiant. I was expecting a thicker consistency but found it was actually quite thin but it did layer well. I used a few different ways of application, a beauty blender, foundation brush, finger and found that they all worked well but my preferred way is just to dab product on my prepped skin then blend in with a beauty blender until you have complete coverage. It left me with a long lasting matte look that I didn’t need to touch up throughout the day which is a bonus. The bottle design is cute and fits in well with the Maybelline range. I am interested to try other products from the SuperStay range to compliment the foundation together. I love Maybelline’s products and would highly recommend. Just make sure you find your perfect shade.

As an oily skin girl myself, I found it to be hydrating whilst mattifying. A lot of matte foundations can be drying, but this formula has the perfect balance. It’s lightweight in a way that it doesn’t feel cakey, however gives me good coverage. The foundation covered old acne spots and some discolouration. It also lasted well through my 10 hour work days. The colour match was great for me and I believe there is quite a good range for different skin tones.

When applied with a beauty blender it blends seamlessly on the skin even with acne scars and freckles. Definitely a favourite now and would like to try in different colours to suit the winter and summer months. Also, provided longevity through work days and events in the heat and rain. Will definitely be added to my makeup kit for future events. The matte finish also is perfect as it doesn’t get very oily which is a massive plus for those with oily/combination skin. I would recommend to try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried this foundation and as a makeup artist I really enjoy the longevity and wear down of the lumi-matte foundation. Lasts a long time and at the end of wearing it isn't left patchy or flaky, which is a nice difference. No skin sensitivity or break outs after wearing and removal was super easy. The application goes on really well whether using a brush, sponge or fingers to apply. Ive tried with and without a primer and honestly I didn't notice much of a difference between either which is great for those who prefer no priming. My skin looks hydrated but no greasy or unwanted shine, just nice and hydrated healthy looking skin. Coverage is excellent and overall really enjoy this foundation.

This was my first time using a matte finish foundation, I liked the look although I found it to be quite drying on my skin even with a base and moisturiser. I Will also be trying on my daughter who is a dancer as this would be perfect for this. After using for over a week I would say this product would be suited to very oily or young skin.

Its formula was more watery than I expected, however the product applied evenly and felt weightless on my skin. The foundations coverage was light, however, I found I could easily build up the layers when I wanted to. I was impressed that as claimed the foundation is long wearing and lasted throughout the day. This made it perfect to wear to the office, as I did not need to worry about reapplication. It also remained on after a long day in the sun, when applied over my sunscreen and when I went to the gym. I was very impressed with this foundation and its performance which nearly as good as an alternative, more expensive product I had been using. From herein I will be swapping to the Maybelline’s SuperStay Lumni Matte Foundation for everyday use. The only negative is that the packaging looks a bit plastic and tacky. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super long-wearing foundation [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation for a few weeks instead of my usual long-wearing foundation and I am so pleased with its lasting results. The shade I am using is 096, which is slightly lighter than my skin tone, but the great thing is there is a large selection of shades available. This foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump which makes dispensing the product clean and easy. It gives medium to full coverage but doesn’t look heavy or unnatural. It also feels lightweight on my skin and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a long-wearing foundation. It blends well with my makeup sponge and doesn’t look patchy, but it can feel a bit dry on my skin so I use a hydrating primer underneath. I’m most impressed with how well the coverage lasts all day without the need to touch up. I would purchase this foundation again given that the price is reasonable and it works better than many more expensive foundations I’ve previously used.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than expected [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't used a Maybelline product in so long, so I jumped at the chance to try their SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation. And it did not disappoint. I found the foundation to be nice and light but with great coverage, and it did not budge. I went out walking after work a few times and my full face of makeup did not budge or sweat off. Winning. Went out over the weekend and when I got home, I still had all my makeup on. Definitely recommend this foundation, it is buildable without being too heavy and does not look too matte either. it is the perfect combination.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stays all day! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using this as an everyday foundation that I wear to work and apply without a primer. This foundation provides medium coverage and leave as a lovely matte finish to my skin. It does not feel heavy and does not leave my skin looking dry like some other mattes can do. It is easy to apply and spreads with an even finish. It is long stay and I find that it does not move or falter during the day so it still looks fresh at the end of the day. The colour match is also spot on and does not look like I am wearing foundation once applied. I would recommend this product to others.
