Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight yet buildable foundation [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all the packaging sucked me in. Packaging is super cute, loved the lilac purple. Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation applies onto the skin really nicely and blends really well. It felt lightweight on my skin. I was able to build up the foundation to give a more fuller coverage yet the foundation still gave a lightweight feeling and didn't go cake-y looking at all. I found if I only put a small amount on it gave a really natural look to the skin but with a nice glow. I don't often reach for a matte foundation these days but it doesn't feel or wear like a typical matte foundation. It lasted well throughout the day and I will definitely be reaching out to use this foundation again in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Natural finish [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation has quickly become one of my favourites! I like its lightweight feel on the skin and the way it provides excellent coverage without feeling heavy. The finish perfectly balances matte and luminous, giving my skin a healthy glow that doesn’t look overly shiny. One of the standout features is its long-lasting formula—my makeup stays put throughout the day without frequent touch-ups. I also appreciate the shade range, which offers a variety of options to match different skin tones. Overall, it’s a fantastic foundation for anyone looking for a smooth, radiant finish that lasts!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A lovely light and fresh foundation! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A lovely medium - full coverage foundation that is light and fresh on the skin! To me this is almost a dupe of the Este Lauder double wear foundation! - There's an excellent shade range to chose from, and it sits nicely on the skin. I found this foundation gave great coverage and could certainly be built up for a fuller coverage if desired! The packaging is neat and clean, and I love the pump feature. It definitely is long lasting and doesn't split on the skin. I've been using this foundation with and without skin prep (a primer etc) and it's lasted beautifully either way. The only downside if you can call it that, was that it was slightly more matte than I expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dependable everday foundation! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have started using Maybelline's SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation and it is definitely a must for those who are looking for radiance and reliable coverage. From the moment I tried it, I loved how light it felt and breathable. It provided me with full coverage without that heavy, suffocating feeling. It glides on effortlessly, giving me a smooth, breathable base that’s matte. Application couldn’t be easier. Whether I use a sponge, a brush, or even my fingers, it blends in seamlessly, leaving no streaks or harsh lines. This makes it perfect for rushed mornings. The best part? It stays put. And for me it normally lasted up to 12 hours without needing a touch-up. No fading, no separating—just dependable wear all day long. Another thing I love is how customizable the coverage is. This foundation also plays well with other makeup. Whether I use cream blushes and bronzers or set it with powder, it holds everything together beautifully, with no pilling or weird textures. One tip: if you have dry skin, prep well with a hydrating primer or moisturizer. While it isn’t drying, the matte finish can highlight dry patches if you’re not careful. Maybelline’s SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation is a dependable, buildable, and long-lasting choice. It’s especially great for normal to combination skin type. So definitely if you are after a foundation that’s easy to use, holds up through a busy day, and leaves your skin looking naturally flawless, this one’s a must-try. It’s been a true game changer for me, and I think it could be for you too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice long-wearing everyday foundation [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This foundation has a really nice satin finish and gives the skin a healthy glow without looking too dewy. The coverage is good for everyday and formula is runnier than the Superstay activewear. This foundation is quite long wearing and it held up nicely throughout the day without needing touchups. It applies quite well with both a brush or a sponge. It feels really lightweight on the skin and doesn't settle into fine lines or cling to dry patches. Overall really nice product and I would recommend it to anyone with dry/combination skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great everyday affordable foundation! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied this foundation over skincare and primer using a foundation brush and it blended easily and felt really lightweight on my skin. It also allowed my other makeup to blend and sit nicely on top of it. The finish was really nice and glowy without looking oily or shiny. I found it easy to select a colour match online and it matched well with my skin tone when it arrived. Unfortunately for me it did wear off after a few hours, but I would still re purchase this as an every day affordable option when I only need a few hours wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but thin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this out and for the most part liked using it. It was easy to blend and left my skin feeling light. The downside for me was that it still made me look really oily after a few hours and also, the pump was super annoying. It would projectile spray everywhere. I have to slowly press it and in small presses to avoid this. This has happened every time I press it down with normal force. Overall, it is quite thin and runny and blended out quickly so I would use it alongside another foundation after a while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Coverage with a Natural Finish [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation is a pleasant surprise! It provides really good coverage, hiding imperfections and evening out my skin tone without feeling too heavy. I love the soft, natural finish it gives – it’s matte but still has a subtle glow, so my skin doesn’t look flat. It also holds up well throughout the day, although I did notice a bit of fading on my oily areas by evening. Overall, it’s a solid foundation for the price and gives a nice, long-lasting look. Just a little touch-up and it’s perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from PERFECT FOR ALL-DAY WEAR !!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This foundation feels silky smooth on the skin, and applying it with a sponge gives even, smooth coverage. One standout feature is its smudge-proof quality, and it’s also odorless. The pump dispenser provides a much cleaner application than pouring, minimizing waste, even if it’s not quite air-foam quality. It’s non-drying, which keeps the skin comfortable, and one morning application lasted a full 8-hour day. You can feel it lightly on the skin, but it’s nowhere near as heavy as a full-coverage foundation. Washing it off is simple, just a basic cleanser and water do the job. Overall, this foundation’s quality makes it perfect for daily wear—pleased with its lasting power and convenience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gives a nice matte finish I love maybelline products and this superstar lumi matte foundation was a winner for me. It’s easy to apply, I used a beauty blender sponge and it’s buildable so I get a nice light coverage for day and a heavier coverage for night. It gives a nice matte finish that is flattering and it isn’t oily so no shine which I love. It’s nice and light and comfortable to wear and it hides my imperfections with ease. It’s quick and easy to apply and gives a nice professional finish. At under $35.00 it’s great value for money and I don’t need to use a lot. Overall a great buy that I would recommend

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK basic foundation for the price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an oily-skin lady and user of long-wear foundations for decades, I’m always interested in trying new ones. No matter the price point, they’re a bit of a mixed bag and most times I end up returning to the tried & true Estée Lauder Double Wear. This new version of Maybelline long-wear (I’m sure it used to be 24 hours?) claims to last up to 30 hours, which sounds a bit ridiculous - who needs foundation to last 30 hours?? I do love the glass packaging though, which always makes a product feel more premium, and the embossed branding makes the bottle easy to grip. The pump is great, allowing you to dispense as much or as little as you need. As I was sent this to review and had to choose a shade quickly, I didn’t get a chance to pop into a store and colour match. Relying on online recommendations, I chose 119 which was supposedly close to other foundations I wear but turned out to be a bit too light. Ah well, nothing a little bronzer can’t fix! The formulation is reasonably light & easy to apply, but I wouldn’t say it was “full” coverage. Another layer is required for full coverage, which makes the foundation a bit cakey and settles into fine lines. I had to powder a couple of times during the day to keep shine under control, although this was slightly better on the days I used a decent primer first. For this reason, I’m very doubtful of the 30 Hour claim, even though I removed it after just a normal 12 hour day of wear. Overall, it’s OK - especially for the price when on sale. Would recommend for younger, oily/combo skinned folks on a budget.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lightweight but no great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's got a nice lightweight and smooth formula so it's buildable but it's not full coverage which is what I'm usually after. I have oily skin and after a few hours it didn't look too good and went a bit patchy so I wouldn't say it's the best choice for oily skin, it also oxidised once dried down so it came out a little too dark and orange. Packaging is nice, doesn't get too messy which is good, always need a foundation with a pump lid. Would be great for someone with mostly clear skin who wants a light base coverage of foundation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Liked it but wouldn't repurchase [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed trialling this product! I found that the finish had a really nice satin look. The coverage was medium but buildable and it lasted all day! My only dislike was how it felt on the skin. I thought it felt a bit tacky on the skin, although it looked fine and paired well with my mix of liquid and powder products on top and my skin felt hydrated after removing. The tacky feel could also be due to the skin care products I was wearing underneath (vitamin C, niacinamide, sunscreen). I believe this product would probably work best on someone with skin on the oily side. For me, I have normal skin and I really value a light weight product so I wouldn't purchase it again over my usual foundation. I trialled shade 119 which I believe was slightly too pink for my skin tone when looking closely and I wish I had gone a shade lighter but thats the risk of picking a shade through a screen! I think this would be a good summer foundation and perfect for the everyday. I really appreciate a pump being included in the packaging too (unlike the cult favourite Fit Me foundation). Overall, if you're looking to buy this product I would recommend shade matching in store first and slowly building up to your desired coverage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Maybelline Suoerstay Lumi Matte [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try this foundation as I had seen good reviews. It is a lovely light weight foundation that gives a sheer to medium coverage. It was more matte than dewy on my drier skin and unfortunately made drier areas and fine lines more noticeable. It lasted considerably well throughout the day and worked best when a primer was used underneath. It did not play nicely with some of my moisturisers and sunscreens as it did cause some pilling. This foundation would be great for a more combination to oily skin and I be,I’ve it would last well in humid conditions

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Long-lasting but wasn't a natural look [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The foundation definitely does its job and is long-lasting. The foundation gave off a matte finish and was easy to apply. The formula gave off a smooth feeling and didn't feel heavy to wear. However, it was a bit cakey and I could see my pores more prominently, so unless you apply other products to make the pores less obvious first, the results aren't as natural and you can spot where the foundation is applied on the face immediately. In terms of packaging, I loved the way the glass container had the name on the side, which made the glass easier to grip and smooth to the touch. The glass does make it heavier to hold though. You pull the cap upwards directly instead of twisting it to open, which does make for easier application as well. Overall I liked the design of the packaging but the formula makes my face a bit too cakey and unnatural.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super long lasting [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it comes to finding the perfect foundation, the search can often feel overwhelming, especially with the myriad of options available on the market today. Recently, I decided to try the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation, a product that has garnered attention for its promises of long-lasting wear and a matte finish. As someone with dry skin, I approached this foundation with a mix of excitement and caution, eager to see how it would perform on my unique skin type. First and foremost, I want to highlight the application process. I found the foundation to be incredibly easy to apply. The texture is smooth, allowing for effortless blending. Whether I used a makeup sponge or a brush, the foundation glided onto my skin seamlessly. One of the standout features for me was the color match. Maybelline offers a wide range of shades, and I was pleased to find one that complemented my skin tone perfectly. This is often a challenge for many, and finding a shade that blends well with my natural complexion is a big win. However, despite the ease of application and the great color match, my experience took a turn when it came to the finish. As someone with dry skin, I typically gravitate towards foundations that provide a dewy or hydrating finish. Unfortunately, the Lumi-Matte Foundation leans heavily towards a matte finish, which, while it may be ideal for some, was not the best fit for me. Although it initially looked good, I noticed that the matte texture began to accentuate my pores throughout the day. This was disappointing, as my goal with foundation is to achieve a smooth, flawless look, and the emphasis on my pores detracted from that. The longevity of this foundation is noteworthy. It claims to be long-lasting, and I can attest that it holds up well throughout the day. I wore it for several hours, and it remained intact without significant fading or wear. This is a crucial factor for anyone looking for a foundation that can withstand the rigors of a busy day. I did not experience any significant transfer or breakthrough shine, which is often a concern with many foundations. However, for my dry skin, the long-lasting formula felt a bit too drying as the day progressed, leading me to reach for a hydrating mist to refresh my complexion. Given my experience, I would recommend the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation to a specific audience. I believe it would be particularly well-suited for individuals with oily skin types. The matte finish is likely to help control excess oil and shine, providing a more balanced look throughout the day. Additionally, younger skin types may benefit from this foundation, as it offers a strong, lasting coverage that can help even out skin tone without the need for heavy layering. In conclusion, the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation certainly has its strengths, especially in terms of application, color match, and longevity. However, it may not be the best option for those with dry skin, as the matte finish can emphasize dryness and pores. While I appreciate the qualities of this foundation, I will be seeking alternatives that align better with my skin's needs. Ultimately, this product shines in its ability to cater to a specific audience, making it a solid choice for anyone with oily or younger skin looking for a reliable, long-lasting foundation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish - more longevity needed! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Liked this, but did not love. It has a beautiful satin matte finish as the name of the product suggests. It has medium buildable coverage for me. Definitely needed to spot conceal any blemishes as this did not cover larger blemishes. But it nicely evened out skin tone. Did not look or feel cakey on the skin either. The down side for me was that it did not last long throughout the day. I tested with and without a long lasting primer. To me this did not make a difference to the longevity of the product. I would re-purchase this again but would just use for a casual day in the office - not for a full day when I need my makeup to last from morning to after-dinner. A nice affordable option otherwise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for oily skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will preface this review by saying that I have quite oily skin, and found that the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation was not up to the task of staying in place all day, and certainly not for 30h. The formula is very light weight and thin which would be ideal if you are looking for a light coverage but if you are after something that offers a medium level of coverage I'd look elsewhere. In comparison to other foundations I have tried I found that there was hardly any colour on my make up wipe at the end of the day even when I used a finishing powder over the top. The foundation is very matt in look which I loved and it did not make my skin looks oily which was nice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Truly impressed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation truly impressed me! It offers excellent coverage, effortlessly concealing imperfections and evening out my skin tone without feeling heavy. The finish is stunning—a matte look with a subtle glow that keeps my skin looking natural and not flat. I like applying it with my hands for a natural finish but it can also be applied with a brush for a more airbrushed full coverage look too. It does'nt have a scent which is a thumbs up. It wears well throughout the day, though I did notice some fading in my oily areas by evening. Overall, it's a great foundation for its price, delivering a beautiful, long-lasting look with just a quick touch-up needed for perfection!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice coverage [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate enough to try this product as a review crew member and while I liked the product, I didn't love it! It was good covered, but I did find it wouldn't last the full 30hours if I had a busies day and I was needing to reapply more often. It's a great consistency and I loved that it didn't make my skin break out if removed at night. I felt the need to cover my skin with powder as well otherwise it was a bit shiny. I do recommend giving this product a go! My colour match may not have been quite right and i intend to try out some other colours to get the match 100% Can't go wrong with Maybelline and its a quality brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Matte finish great but coverage not so much [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The matte finish is great and does last all day. In that regards it’s 5/5. The problem is that it’s very runny and the pump pumps hard so I often splatter makeup over the vanity or floor. I very cautiously press the pump but sometimes it’s still too quick. Also, the coverage is very light. I’ve had thicker coverage with a BB cream. Also, I ordered “fair” which is what shade I usually am but it’s too light for my skin. The makeup does glide on smoothly. The size of the bottle is convenient. Overall, the matte finish is impressive. The oil in my combination skin usually shines by lunchtime but this stopped the oil all day. I just wish it wasn’t so watery and wasn’t as light in the coverage and wasn’t lighter than the picture and name represent.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Affordable option for a more expensive feel [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like sometimes it can be a lifelong search for the perfect foundation; always searching for the one that makes your skin look flawless but at the same time not like you’ve got a face full of makeup. I’ve tried everything over the years, from expensive brands to supermarket specials so I definitely know what I like, and what I don’t. Maybelline’s SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation is available in 17 shades so there is plenty of choice. Having chosen my shade online I do admit I made the mistake of picking one that was a bit too pale but I didn’t let that stop me. Despite the colour issue, the foundation went on really smoothly and gave just the right amount of coverage. A little also went a long way so it’ll last you a while and at $34.99 this is a really affordable option. I liked the consistency of this foundation and the matte look it provided but with the colour not being quite to my skin tone I did mix with a couple of drops of bronzer. I would definitely consider buying this again in future however I’d go in store to make sure I get my perfect match.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not amazing Bring back the 24 hour Superstay foundation. It was hands down the best! The 30 hour active wear was very quick drying but the new 30 hour is so runny, buildable but who wants to layer their foundation for it to not last the 30 hours it claims to! Please Maybelline go back to the 24 hour formula! If you like a light weight light coverage, this is for you.
