Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light but good coverage [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation works great on my skin. It doesn't feel heavy or cakey at all. In fact, it glides smoothly on my skin. I use a foundation brush to apply it and even a little amount provides good coverage. The foundation stays put even after a few hours. I just apply my usual moisturiser and sunscreen before it. There's no creasing or anything. I really like the fact that it is light and smooth. There's no fragrance. It gives a really nice dewy look. I will definitely recommend this product.

Previous drug store foundations I have purchased have left me feeling less than enthusiastic. I tried this product with low hopes and I cannot believe how wrong my expectation was. This is genuinely my new favourite product. It does not make me look sweaty (like MCO Beauty does) but it also does not make me look powdery. The coverage is buildable but also looks extremely natural. I have had a whole week of 7am-11pm days and it has not budged and still looks as great as it did when I first applied it. The pump applicator is perfect and the price point is extremely competitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best foundation on the market [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a good foundation it’s not dry and it’s soft and silky applies evenly and doesn’t just rub or wash off I wore this for 24hr and it didn’t come off or ruin I will most definitely be replacing every other foundation I own I will repurchase shock new and product from Maybelline I think this should be everyone’s go to foundation it can be used. For full coverage or light coverage it just does it all I would highly recommend using a powder for this to add additional makeup on top Run and buy this asap

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice foundation I have been using the original and active superstay for years and was disappointed in the fact that they kept changing the formula and colours. The last activewear foundation was really hard to blend and always somehow ended up patchy and uneven - This new addition however is fantastic! So easy to blend, way less drying and goes on really nice and smooth. Covers perfectly and doesn't look uneven or blotchy at all. Stays matte without being drying and lasts all day. The original bottle of superstay before the pump had a colour that was absolutely perfect (classic beige) and it would be great if they bought that colour back out in this blend. Please keep this one and don't discontinue or change an already super foundation!

As someone with dark skin, this foundation gives me a natural makeup look without feeling cakey or too heavy. It blends seamlessly on my skin, providing great coverage with just a small amount. It’s incredibly lightweight and leaving my skin looking flawless. I also love the bottle design. it has a pump, so you can dispense exactly the amount you need without wasting any product. There’s a wide range of shades to match different skin tones. On top of that the price is affordable which is another bonus. I would recommend this product t lasts beautifully throughout the day!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely This foundation is still pretty new to me, but I have been really enjoying it! It has a very thin consistency and it feels very lightweight on the skin. I prefer to apply it with a beauty sponge, but it can be applied with the fingers or a brush just as well. The lumi-matte description threw me a little bit, so I didn't know what to expect with the finish. It goes on more matte without being drying, but then will get a bit more luminous throughout the day. I honestly couldn't get close to 30 hours wear time, but it does last pretty well and wears down nicely. I really wish they had a broader shade range though, with a vaster range of undertones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the lightest shade 90 as it seemed a lot of online swatches and videos showed that most shades were too tan and orange for my pale Asian skin. To make things more confusing, the shades available in Australia are different to those in Asia, so I couldn't even reference Asian reviews. Shade 90 is a little too white for me, but I can make it work. It's a great foundation in that it glides relatively smoothly on my textured and often dry patchy skin. I can easily apply this with my fingers, but I suspect it will look flawless with the right applicator. It has a medium and natural looking coverage. It's not matte-matte, but more of a "skin" finish. On my dehydrated-oily skin, after a few hours, my oil does shine through especially on my forehead and chin, but as I get older, I'm not really fussed by this any more. If so concerned, this can easily be fixed with any powder. It’s supposed to be transfer proof which I’d say mostly is, but my glasses still leave a mark of build up. All round, a very good foundation.

I don't often wear this brand (have tried here and there), but this one has changed my mind. It's incredibly lightweight and provides excellent coverage, even on hot summer days when I am going from the office air on into the city heat and onwards to any evening social events. I love how it lasts all day without fading or feeling heavy. The colour blended seamlessly into my skin (and was great when mixed into other foundations to create the perfect colour), giving me a natural, flawless finish. It’s perfect for those long, warm days when you need your foundation to stay in place or even just want to rely on the odd powder press here and there to keep looking fresh. Overall, this foundation could definitely be my next go-to, making it a strong contender for my next purchase!

I generally choose foundations with a dewy finish so was quite surprised to find that I liked the finish of this foundation and it actually reminds me of another high end foundation I use. It’s a very natural, skin like finish and does not look cakey at all. It plays well with my skin care and did not separate for me. I found the colour stayed true and I did not notice any oxidisation either. All in all a great foundation and one that I would wear daily especially for work as the staying power was great too.

I tried it out on a very hot day here in Northern NSW and spent the day walking and at the beach. The foundation stayed on perfectly and did not cause my face to get clogged and sweaty. Its a really nice breathable base and the colour matching was almost perfect. Slightly on the orange side but it is hard to choose the perfect foundation shade online when trying out a new brand. I would buy this foundation instead of the expensive brand I have been using continuously for the past few years. A great addition to anyone's make up cabinet.

I received the lightest shade, which was the perfect shade for my skin. The product has no fragrance, is nicely packaged and the pump works well, with just the right amount being dispensed in each pump. I do not recommend using with any oil based cleanser or moisturiser before applying this foundation, as it will affect its longevity and you may look cakey. It is not full coverage, it is only a light foundation, which can be layered with concealer and finished with powder. I have been a fan of Maybelline products for a long time and am pleased with their new products.

Application - it was easy to glide on just using my fingertips, it didn't get sticky or tacky. It is quite full coverage if you are after that, but it's also possible to do a thin layer to get a more sheer effect. I wouldn't say it looked "luminous" - to me it just seemed like a matte makeup. However it was not at all dry or cakey like some matte makeups are prone to be. It was indeed longwear - it lasted all day until I removed my makeup but then came off easily with micellar water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super lightweight [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to be part of the Review Crew for the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation because I have oily skin and always looking for a matte foundation. So the foundation comes in a nice 35ml glass bottle with a super cute pastel pump lid. The product it self seams fragrance free, it's super light and non-greasy. I used the foundation on cleansed skin after moisturising and applying sunscreen, it went nicely on top of my mineral sunscreen and did not pill and blends on the skin nicely. It's also buildable, but I prefer a medium coverage so one application is enough for me. I live in a hot and humid city and I have a oily t-zone, so it's hard for me to find a foundation stays on my face all day. I was impressed by the foundation it did stay all day, but there was some shine on my t-zone by the end of the day. Overall I like the foundation, I like the light weight and hydrating feel, I wish it was a little more matte on me but I am quiet oily and do live in a humid city.

However, if you have oily or combination skin, you’ll need to set it with powder—especially around the T-zone—because it can break down after a few hours. With powder and maybe a primer, it holds up much better, lasting about 5-6 hours. It’s comfortable to wear all day, feeling super lightweight and breathable. This foundation is buildable and provides nice coverage for all occasions while being long-lasting and natural. I was surprised that it lasted throughout the day while also sitting nicely on the skin even on a hot day. I liked how the packaging is a pump that is easy to use, however, the glass bottle is on the heavier side so I wouldn’t recommend it while travelling as it is quite heavy. I am happy with the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation and would recommend to anyone with oily skin who wants a lightweight foundation that provides coverage and is long-lasting.

I would recommend that if you have oliy skin or if your skin can get oily throughout the day definitely set it with setting powder. I wouldn't consider this foundation to very buildable due to how dewy it is, I think it could leave most people looking a little oily. I consider it to be light to medium coverage, enough coverage to cover imperfections and light enough to be worn everyday. Packaging is clean and simple, easy pump action to get product out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great foundation, shade range needs some work [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone with sensory issues, there is nothing that I hate more than when the foundation I wear feels heavy and like a 'layer' sitting over the skin, so when I got to try the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation I was so happy about the lightweight texture it has! It genuinely feels invisible on the skin and leaves your skin so soft to the touch. I found that it left my skin with a natural, soft air-brushed finish and texture which I loved! It is pretty much a 'your skin but better' foundation, which is a big YES for me. The only issue I had with the foundation was its shade range. As someone with a fair olive skin tone, I found that the available shade range does not currently cater to my complexion which is disappointing, as I would really love to continue wearing it.

My only criticism was that it still managed to look a little cakey, especially if I didn't use a moisturiser under it. The design of the bottle is nice and it feels like a quality product. No smell and it has lasting coverage like promised. Admittedly, I just use it as an everyday foundation which it's good for, but I haven't tested it with a full face of makeup or anything that needs to last throughout an event

I really like how easy this is apply, one small pump goes along way. I thought it was going to be too thick but covered my whole face easily. I don’t like a thick coverage so if you do then maybe a second pump would work. It covered my red marks and pigmentation and gave a natural look. As I have mature skin, I did find the Matte finish slightly dry but easy to apply a little oil over the top to give me back some moisture, the foundation coverage stayed all day and didn’t need me to add more whilst at work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too heavy not too light - just right [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thankyou to Beauty Crew for asking me to try the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation. The shade I chose (119) ended up being a little too dark for my skin but with some blending around my jaw line and down into my neck its not too noticeable. I like the shape of the glass bottle but the colour of the lid reminds me of little old ladies. This does not affect the performance at all! I really liked the coverage of this foundation. It's not sheer but not heavy "about to paint the town red" either so I don't look ridiculously overdone at my office job. The resulting look is just as its promoted as being, a luminous but matte type finish. If I dont touch my face it lasts all day from morning (7.30am) until after 6pm. I do like to use a powder to set, as I do with all my liquid foundations, and it still has a slightly luminous finish. It does not gather into my undereye wrinkles. I've used it every day for a week and have not had any outbreak of pimples which can sometimes happen if my skin doesn't like a particular product. The price point is very good and even better when on sale. I expect to be repurchasing this in the correct shade in the future and can recommend it.

I love the idea of a satin matte finish but was skeptical on how it would hold up against my skin type. Not only does it look beautiful on the skin, but it lasts a reasonable amount of time. It's absolutely perfect for day to day as a lightweight foundation with natural yet buildable coverage. Not a foundation I would reach for if I wanted to glam up, but I can definitely see myself wearing it a lot during casual makeup days.

The skin looks natural. Doesn't have a smell. Feel light not heavy really recommend this product because it’s very light and gives you the perfect skin tone and texture. So good smooth and light. Glow without shadow. Recommend it for daily wear. Perfect comfortable wear on skin. You can apple this at home and not even bring the foundation with you every where. Perfect long lasting foundation for hours. Love it. Of course I recommend it have to try it.

I liked how it sat on my skin because it was matte but not cakey. It dries down a bit darker than what it looks like in the bottle so be mindful when you’re choosing your shade. The formula was comfortable on my skin and worked well under my powder makeup. If you have oily skin I would still recommend setting with powder but not as much as you would use for a skin tint. I was very happy that it has a pump because other Maybelline foundations I have tried did not which makes it super hard to apply. I like that it is an affordable price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, but not my favourite [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a nice, lightweight foundation. The coverage was quite sheer, similar to my BB cremes. The product was easy to use and apply. The squirt bottle is so easy to use and disperses the perfect amount. It generally went on smoothly, however I found it went alittle funny (cakey-ish) when used over some of my moisturisers and face sunscreens which was alittle unfortunately. The finish was light, natural and dewy. It resembled lovely glowy skin. It lasted reasonably well, however I did need to reapply or touch up around 2pm (7ish hours after application. It was nice, but not one of my favourites.
