General Information

Say hello to Swisse Skincare Retinol 0.3% Advanced Night Serum, a powerhouse blend featuring niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. Designed for daily use, this high potency serum boasts 0.3% encapsulated retinol (vitamin A) for gradual release in skin and for enhanced stability, improving fine lines and refining skin texture. Based on scientific evidence, the formula promotes advanced skin firmness, making it the perfect addition to your anti-aging regimen.

Warnings

Contains: No sulphate, parabens or petrolatum.

Directions

For optimal results, apply 1 pump to skin at night after cleansing, avoiding the eyes and lips. Limit use to 2-3 nights a week initially and gradually increase frequency as tolerated or advised by a skin professional. Follow with a moisturiser. Some redness and dryness may be felt during initial use. If side-effects persist, discontinue use. For night-time use only.

I like that the formula includes niacinamide and hyaluronic which makes its perfect for daily use and skin is feeling hydrated after use. I am very picky with how skincare feels on my skin. I like this serum particularly because it was so lightweight, absorbed easily and did not leave any sticky or overly-shiny residue on my face after using. I can't really speak to whether it reduces fine lines or wrinkles because I don't have many, but it definitely makes my skin feel smooth. I love the addition of niacinamide as I normally use niacinamide in my skin care routine and it does a great job with evening out texture and pigmentation on my skin. Unlike other retinol products, this one has felt really light and calming on my skin, and there has not been any side effects.

It was well labelled as I could see exactly what the product was the brand name very clearly. I was impressed how they had scientific evidence. The container the product came in was a nice black colour. The directions on using the product were very easy to follow. I was also impressed how the bottle was recyclable. The product was a nice yellow colour and had a nice scent to it. The only issue I had was the plastic stick in applying the product. I didn't like applying the product with a stick. I would have preferred a pump or a dropper. It worked really well on my skin though, my skin felt great after using. I noticed after a couple of weeks my skin had a less wrinkles, fine lines and looked a lot better. My skin felt a lot more smooth and firm. I have ageing skin and it worked quite well. The product performed well. I was gifted this product to trial and review.

I was a little sceptical at first, as my skin used to react poorly and become red when I used a retinol product from another brand. I'm pleasantly surprised that this serum does not cause any redness and my skin seems to tolerate it well. I can't be sure if it improves the appearance of fine lines or minimises pigmentation yet, as it is probably too soon to see the effect. However, I do notice that my skin tone and texture have improved after using this in the past few weeks. It is also easy to apply and absorbs well, leaving my skin feeling smoother. I love that it goes well with my current night cream. I will keep this in my daily skincare routine and will start using the serum more frequently, perhaps 4-5 times a week.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average results after 2 weeks but will keep using I used this for two weeks and while I did see some improvement in the firmness and look of my skin, the improvement to fine lines was probably not obvious to family and friends. I'm not sure if anyone else would have noticed if I hadn't mentioned I had been using something for this issue, so I feel like I need to give it longer to see some really good results. I did see and feel some improvement in the fine lines and will keep using it for a while longer to give it a real chance to prove itself. At this stage I would be reluctant to keep buying it if the results didn't become more obvious.
