[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a coloured /dry /damaged hair and I noticed that my hair is getting thinner each day and have lots of hair fall and easily to break and I was happy that I get to try the Nioxin System 4 Scalp+Hair Thickininb System 4 Trial. The Nioxin System 4 and is my first time to try it. The Nioxin scalp+hair shampoo has a gel like consistency formula with green minty scent and easy to apply on the scalp and hair. I love also the bottle packaging it looks sleek , nice colour combination. The bottle dispenser is friendly user too which a good plus.And it foams easily with less water which I like. It feels so refreshing and relaxing while massaging it on my scalp. I feel like my scalp is feeling clean and fresh. The Nioxin scalp+hair conditioner has same minty scent which I like as it feels refreshing like menthol candy smell. It has same packaging with the Nioxin Scalp+hair shampoo but different colour lid but look sleek and friendly user. The formula itselp is a bit thick like cream , easy to apply on the scalp and hair feeling fuller after wash.I apply it onto my scalp to ends and leave on for 2-3 minutes then rinse it well. I like this conditioner cause it can specifically appy onto the scalp unlike other condition only for midlengths to ends. After using it I can feel fuller,clean and healthy with my scalp and hair. The Nioxin scalp+hair treatment is interms of the scent it is same with the Nioxin Shampoo and Condition , it has a minty fresh scent and menthol feeling on the scalp . The formula is like a bubble but it is easily absorbed on the scalp without leaving residue spots. So far I like it and it is a leave-on treatments you do not need to rinse , very handy. After using it I can feel feeling the scalp healthy and clean . My hair looks volumized and fuller. The bottle packing is cute and it has a cuter pum with it and I appreciate the lid on . I will continue using it as part of my hair care routine and I will recommend it to anyone has same hair problem with me.

It’s still too early to tell if my hair is thicker, but my scalp feels clean and balanced after using the shampoo and conditioner. The leave-on treatment is lightweight and refreshing, and I haven’t noticed any irritation. The system is easy to use, smells great, and the small bottles are easy to handle and store, which is really convenient. Overall, I’m happy with the product and would recommend it to others looking to care for their scalp and hair health.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leonie C. from Stronger, thicker hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to trial the Nioxin 3D Trial Kit System 4 which is a hair plumping system designed for colour treated hair with progressed thinning. My hair is short and I have it salon coloured every six weeks. I wash my hair every three days and use a blow dryer and hair straightener so I’m very conscious of using hair products to nourish and protect my hair to prevent it from becoming too dry. With age my hair has become progressively thinner particularly on one side of my head. The trial kit contains shampoo (150ml), conditioner (150ml) and treatment (40ml) all packaged in simple white bottles with identifying labels. The tops on the shampoo and conditioner bottles are different colours for easy identification. The products are made in Mexico. The Cleanser Shampoo has a thick gel-like consistency, pale green in colour, with a lovely mint scent. I always double wash but use less shampoo on the second wash. I find with this shampoo I don’t need much at all to work up a lovely foamy lather on my short hair. The shampoo rinses out easily enough. After shampooing, my hair doesn’t feel soft and silky but I can still run my fingers through my hair to separate the strands. The Scalp Therapy Revitalising Conditioner is white and creamy with a medium consistency. Again it has that lovely mint scent which I love. The conditioner is easy to apply all over my hair and, after leaving it to soak in for a few minutes, it rinses out really well. My hair then feels softer than after the shampooing process, but not silky soft, and not matted. I always squeeze the water out of my hair with a towel (rather than rubbing it) to prevent breakage and frizz which rubbing can cause. The Scalp & Hair Treatment comes in a small pump bottle. It is a foam product, again with that lovely minty smell. The idea is to massage the foam over the scalp but I’ve only been using it on one side of my head (the thinning hair side) to see if there is any noticeable difference at the end of the trial period. I don’t put a brush or comb near my hair until I blow dry it to about 80% dry. I then continue blow drying my hair while styling it with a ceramic brush. I then use a hair straightener to finish the process. I notice that on the side where I have applied the treatment my hair is a bit stiffer which helps with the styling process because my hair is then more inclined to stay in place. The results after four weeks: I believe the products are working for me. My thinning side is a bit thicker and stronger and hopefully with continued use this will increase. Because the products have helped with styling I’m less concerned that my hair won’t separate in the thinner areas. I’d consider purchasing these products if I continue to see improvement. Cost wise it’s not too bad because even though the bottles aren’t large I don’t need much product so they would last quite a while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Zora Z. from Great Trial Kit for Specific Concerns [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I trialled this 3 part system over the course of a month, using the product once a week, in alternation with my toning shampoo and conditioner as I have coloured blonde hair. My hair is quite brittle and damaged from years of poor maintenance and colour treatments (my own fault, I know!) so it was about time I started looking at ways to repair the damage and scalp care is crucial to that. Over the month, I also changed hair salons, and noticed that they use and stock Nioxin products so I took this as a good sign! Hair thinning has not necessarily been a concern for me, but rather the breakage and lack of length growth so I was interested to see how this product would work. After approximately 5 uses, I have noticed an improvement to my hair. The Nioxin website recommends daily use of the kit to scalp and hair but this was unviable for me personally. There are reparations to the damage and breakage of hair and I do feel continued use would alleviate some of my concerns. The shampoo lathers well and cleans the hair effectively. I felt I needed more conditioner to feel it was making an impact through the hair. The leave in treatment was slightly foreign to me at first as it focused solely on the scalp and not a product that you work through to the lengths of the hair.

The minty fragrance is a highlight, giving a cool, soothing sensation each time I use them. The shampoo and conditioner are a bit drying, but they add noticeable volume to my hair, making it look fuller. My hair also feels stronger, and I like that the products provide some colour protection. While this kit didn’t fully meet my expectations for thicker hair, it's a great routine for boosting volume and strengthening damaged hair. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for a revitalising hair care routine.

The packaging is quite slim & small which is good for storage but not much compared to other products. The shampoo itself is slightly menthol & you do only need a little as it lathers quite well. I found it slightly stripped the colour from my hair tbh so not sure how good it is for 'colour treated hair' as it claims I use permanent dye and each time I used this the water was brownish tinted (my hair was not dirty LOL as only happens with this shampoo) and noticed my dark brunette is slightly lighter. I also have not noticed my hair any thicker as it claims & still have a fair bit falling out when I wash. Maybe it requires longer usage to noticeable effects but I don’t have anything positive unfortunately about from it lathering well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Nioxin Trial Kit System 4 Ever since I had my second child I have noticed my hair has thinned around my temple area and I can see my scalp when I have certain hair styles so I was excited to give the Nioxin 3D Trial Kit System 4 a go. System 4 is for Colour Treated Hair with Progressed Thinning. In the trial kit you get: Nioxin Cleanser shampoo 150ml Nioxin Scalp Therapy Revitalising Conditioner 150ml Nioxin Scalp & Hair Treatment 50ml A little bit about my hair: My hair is just below shoulder length. It is coloured, coarse, dry and damaged. Also very thick and frizzy and I have thinning around my temples. The shampoo: Using the shampoo I use a 20 cent piece sized amount. It is a gel like consistency and is green and thick. It smells like peppermint. Applying it to my hair it lathers really well but it does make my hair very dry and knotty. After rinsing it does feel stripped and I couldn't even run my fingers through it. The Conditioner: The conditioner is white and slightly runny. It isn't a thick conditioner like others I've previously used. It also smells like peppermint. I use a 50 cent piece sized amount of this as my hair is very thick. Instead of applying it to my mid-lengths and ends it says to apply it from your scalp through to the ends. I then leave this in my hair for a few minutes before rinsing. After conditioning my hair it doesn't feel any better. It still feels stripped, dry and very knotty. I then lightly towel dry my hair before combing it and even getting the comb through my hair was difficult. Scalp & Hair Treatment: The scalp and hair treatment is like a foam. You shake the bottle and then pump some into your hand. I use a few pumps of this. To use it all you have to do is massage it into your scalp all over. I also make sure I focus on the area in which I have the thinning. And then I comb my hair. What I don't like about the treatment is that it makes my hair stiff like I have hair spray in it. It leaves my hair feeling gritty and the stiffness to my hair from the treatment makes brushing and straightening my hair a little difficult. Overall I haven't noticed my hair looking any fuller or thicker. Based on this and the overall feeling and condition of my hair when using this range I would not purchase this myself.
