Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smells Great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is appealing and chic. The color and the glass bottle is great. I love the texture of this product as it feels like jelly. When you scoop it and put it on your face it glides smoothly and surprisingly blends well. It is super light, does not leave any sticky feeling but moisturize well. It also blends well with my sunscreen and makeup. Though you might need a little bit more of the product as it is super light. Overall, I would recommend this to family and friends and would definitely buy again for myself. The best and my favorite thing about it is the smell. It smells citrusy and feels so refreshing.

The packaging was very luxurious for a chemist product but I didn't really like putting my fingers into the jar, I do think the primer needs to be in a tube or a pump for hygiene purposes. The primer has a soft jelly texture and a little went a long way for me. It did fill in pores on my cheeks and around my nose. My makeup applied smoothly and I didn't have any application issues. My skin is oily and at the end of the day, I noticed at the end of the day my makeup was still in place. I like really liked the products, it went on smooth and filled in my pores, make up went on easily and only a small amount was needed. My skin felt a little bit hydrated and I would continue to use it. The product also has a nice light citrus orange scent which was pleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth finish and feels fresh throughout the day [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am quite fussy when choosing a primer as I generally have smooth and clear skin and don't like my face feeling like its suffocated. My only experience with revlon primer is another item which I have tried which I really really disliked... however this primer was amazing. This primer kept my face looking smooth and hydrated. My skin felt fresh and the primer was light. It has a nice finish and lasts throughout the day - even on 38 degree days having been applied in the morning. The product smells nice and is super easy to apply although I felt it required more product than other primers I have used before (due to it being light). Would 100% buy this and reccomend to friends or family.

A little goes a long way, it’s not so much a creamy feeling it’s closer to a balm. Makeup lasts all day when I’ve placed this on before. Amazing. Great for a light moister before makeup and makes such a perfect primer or base for your foundation. The packaging is pretty and looks expensive, also has a real cute look to it. Perfect size, easy to put in your makeup bag and chuck in your handbag or overnight bag. Defiantly a must have for your daily glow up!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit unsure at the start on how to take some of the products out of the beautiful container when I first opened the Revlon Illuminance Balm Primer. It has a thick and soft consistency so it was a bit tricky to take some of the products from the container but when I finally got some products into my hands and applied it on my face, it glided easily on my skin. It almost melts nice and quick, making it easier to apply all over my face. Despite initially having the first impression of thick consistency, it actually has a lightweight and non-greasy texture. It is also fast-absorbing while leaving the skin soft and smooth without looking oily or greasy. It is great as a makeup base while feeling moisturised throughout the day.

I really like the soft creamy texture and how hydrating it leaves my skin feeling. I really enjoyed the light scent as it melts into my skin which prime's my skin for my foundation. I wish this was a little bit more matte finish but overall it has improved my skin texture and hydration and will definitely keep using it. This bottle fits perfectly for travel or even my makeup bag and will sharing this awesome prime with my friends for sure.

I usually just use a light sunscreen as my primer base so was pleased to try this. I did find it moisturising and enjoyed the feeling on my skin. It creates a smooth, hydrated base and gives the skin a nice glow. However, I found that if not left long enough to absorb, it can leave an oily sheen that feels uncomfortable throughout the day. Thankfully, this is easily fixed by allowing it time to soak in before applying makeup. Once fully absorbed, it enhances a dewy, radiant finish. A great choice for those who love a luminous look!

A small amount goes a long way, so I applied it to to just washed skin and let it sit and melt into my skin before applying my usual foundation on top. The primer helped to smooth out the lines on my face, and my skin texture appeared dewy and natural. I like that it doesn't clump on the face, and it doesn't separate from the foundation. It appeared nice and seamless, achieving the look I was going for. It didn't irritate my skin or cause any rashes. It has a simple scent, not too overbearing. Works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Revlon Illuminance™ Balm Primer for a few weeks and for the most part enjoyed it The Packaging & Application is sleek and compact, making it easy to carry around, it initially reminded me of a moisturising cream packaging. I like that it comes in a twist-up balm format—it’s convenient and mess-free. However, I did find that applying it directly from the stick could tug on the skin a little, so I prefer to warm it up on my fingers before smoothing it on. texture wise it’s lightweight and non-greasy, which is great for everyday use. It absorbs quickly and does leave the skin feeling soft and smooth. However, if you have oily skin, you might find that it adds a bit more shine than you’d like. For using Under Makeup As a primer, it does a decent job of creating a smooth base, but I didn’t notice a huge improvement in how long my makeup lasted. I have oily t- zone & makeup was off by the afternoon on my nose as usual. It works well under lightweight foundations, but if you use a heavier or matte formula, it might not grip as well. Scent & Finish There’s no overpowering scent, which Is nice. The finish is dewy, which is lovely for a natural glow, but if you prefer a matte look, you may need to set it with powder. This primer would best be suited for those with dry to normal skin who like a dewy finish. If you have oily skin or need long-wear performance, this might not be the best option. I wouldn’t call it a must-have, but it’s a nice option if you’re looking for a hydrating primer with a balm texture. It was nice to trial and I did like it however I probably wouldn’t repurchase unless I seen it on a really good sale.

The added benefits of the skincare ingredients really piqued my interest in this product as I like being able to use less products for maximal effect. One of my favourite elements of this product is the packaging - I like that it’s in a jar as it means I can actually use all of the product (compared to some of those that come in tubes/vials) and also allows me to better see how much I have left so I know when I need to start thinking about repurchasing.

I always find primers to be different in texture and can feel a bit odd on the skin. As this product is also a moisturiser it feels completely different and has much more of a thick consistency that feels exactly like a face cream. Although I don’t like the packaging, in that you have to dip your finger into the product, I would definitely use this again as it did exactly what it claimed to do.

Did work fine for combination skin. But it did leave my skin slightly clogged in some areas after using it for 2 weeks straight. It doesn’t make my skin feel oily, it just makes it look and feel more soft. The cream isn’t too thick so it absorbs into the skin quickly. It doesn’t leave any oily feeling on your skin. There is a slight scent but it’s not over powering. It hasn’t made me break out or dry my skin out or cause any rashes. The jar it comes in is nice. You can use it alone as just a moisturiser or as a primer is well. I will recommend it to friends and family.

I really liked this product. It smells lovely and fresh and has a really nice texture. I found that it applied really well and felt like it added hydration to my very dry skin. It layered very well with a few of my different foundations/BB creams and didn’t seam to impact on the final finish, maybe made it slightly dewier but not shine or greasy. My make up stayed put all day as usual so it had no negative impact upon the durability of the products I layering top of it. I had to keep hiding this from my daughter who had become obsessed with it so it must be good. I’d buy it again as a nice base for everyday make up looks.

At first it was a bit confusing, the initial consistency was a bit jelly-like and I really had to warm it up to be able to apply it and it needed quite a bit used to cover all the area required. But once it was on it was barely noticeable and made my foundation and other products easier to apply. I was able to use less foundation as it spread better with the illuminance primer underneath, and it especially worked will with the Revlon illuminance glow wand too. I recommend this if you’re looking for a nice balm primer!

It doesn’t leave my skin super glowy, but it’s a nice item to use and I am looking forward to using it up. I thought it would be more like the Face Base cream, but it doesn’t quite give me the same glowy look, although the texture of the product feels similar in my fingers. I would recommend it for a nice, gentle primer but not sure if I would necessarily repurchase. I was kindly gifted this by beauty crew and I’m glad I had the opportunity to try it.

I think this is a cheaper dupe to a popular primer, however was quite surprised at how small the jar was especially for the price. It is quite a fragrant primer but that didn't bother me as it smelt lemony and fresh. The primer is more of a balmy texture than a silky more fluid moisturiser. I think when I get low it will be hard to get the product out of the jar due to the shape. The product itself as a primer worked well. It's absorbed nicely into the skin and I definitely noticed my makeup stayed all night! I have oily/combo skin and found it helped to keep my makeup matte and look flawless. It is a great product and I would likely purchase again if on sale, as unfortunately I am unsure if I'd pay this much for a Revlon/drugstore item. It is great though!

It has a typical silicon-y finish which means your skin will feel super soft and smooth after application, and most foundations will apply smoothly over. With some water-based foundations, you might get a bit of pilling but I didn’t have any issues. The thick balm texture was great for my dry skin, and it had a nice bright and refreshing fragrance. I’d recommend this if you’re looking for a thicker moisturise primer, especially in the colder months. If you have oilier skin and are in a humid, hot environment, you might find it a bit heavy on the skin.

I love the idea of a moisturiser & primer combo. The less beauty steps are always a bonus. My first impression was the smell, it’s not strong or have that sickly feeling you get with some skincare products. It felt incredibly light but hydrating at the same time. I noticed that my makeup stayed on longer than usual and created an even coverage. Super cute packaging & travel friendly. I only had slight trouble with taking out the product, I would scoop it & it would fall down but perhaps that’s more user error. I would definitely recommend to add to your collection & save a little time and money with it being a 2 in 1.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about a primer such as this as I typically go for a pore filling and shine reducing primer, but was intrigued by its likeness to the Bobbi brown face base primer so was keen to give it a go. The texture wasn’t what I initially expected, it’s quite jelly like and take a bit of pressure to break through the surface to get into the product which isn’t optimum without a little spatula, but if you’re using clean hands this shouldn’t be too concerning just a bit inconvenient for the price. I found it performed quite well under foundation with how further products applied, but my favourite way to wear it was by itself. It gave my skin the right amount of hydration and dewyness without looking oily whilst also subtly bluring pores and obvious texture which made me confident to go out with the added extras. Although the cost is far more than I’d usually consider paying for a primer, I would consider buying this full price depending how long the current jar takes to finish, if anything I will definitely repurchase when found on sale.

Dipping into the product with longer nails was awkward, so I have definitely better application experiences. I really liked the light feel of the product on my face though. My skin felt nice and hydrated. For the purpose of priming, I needed to experiment with the amount of product I needed each time because it felt so light, but nothing really abnormal when trying a new product. Overall, I liked the product, but probably not enough to recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me preface this by saying I'm a big believer in the benefits of makeup primers and skin prep in general. Typically I like to prep my skin with serums followed by a primer, however this can be a bit of a process (dry-down time, ugh) and some days I just don't have the time to be faffing about with all these steps before I even get to the makeup application. Enter Revlon's newest addition to their Illuminance line – a 2-in-1 moisturiser AND primer delivered in one quick and easy, lightweight product. This balm primer promises the skincare benefits of hydration and antioxidant protection paired with the pre-makeup properties of prepping, plumping and smoothing. What I love most about this product is how quick it is to use. The consistency is reminiscent of a cleansing balm, though slightly thicker, and it melts into my skin easily without leaving a film of greasiness. The energising orange citrus scent is a lovely little addition too. As someone who uses a decent amount of setting powders for longevity, I find this product helps to keep my makeup looking fresh towards the end of the day rather than dry and dehydrated. While it does feel hydrating, I don't find this to be "glowy" – it leaves more of a satiny-matte finish to the skin which just makes your base look "nice". If you're oily/combo skin type like me, I actually think this offers the perfect amount of hydration minus the grease factor. Just pair it with a more matte foundation for the best results.

It comes in a nice heavy glass jar which makes it feel very luxe. It has an interesting rubbery bounce to it but this means you have to dig your fingernail in to scoop product out. I think it would have been handy if a spatula was included to help this. The smell is a faint pleasant citrus smell and this goes away once you rub it in. It melts into the skin very quickly with your fingers and doesn’t seem to pill or leave residue. It leaves a slightly tacky finish once rubbed in which is great to grip onto your makeup when you apply it. I did feel it helped my makeup last longer and it didn’t break me out! If you’re looking for a primer with a very dewy finish though, unfortunately this is not it. However it is a good primer overall and I would be very happy to use it again.

It will last for a long time. The texture was bouncy and it felt smooth to apply. I even found it to smooth my pores when I applied it. The smell was really nice and I enjoyed the citrus smell to it. I found it sank into my skin well and my make up applied well over the top of it. It lasted well, not necessarily better than others I have used. Overall I will continue to use it but I wouldn't re purchase simply because I have found better alternatives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not very hydrating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I’ve only had the chance to trial this product for two days, I’ve noticed I’ve had to reapply it throughout the morning when not wearing makeup. I have normal to dry skin, and though the product was light and refreshing upon application, I found that sensation only lasted 30-45 minutes before my skin felt quite dry. If I were wearing it under makeup, it may potentially be less noticeable with the extra layers of product, but I didn’t love it as a stand-alone moisturiser. I do, however, appreciate the packaging and love the citrusy scent, so it would likely be a great match for someone with more hydrated skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth and citrusy! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This face moisturizer and primer has a pleasant citrus scent that’s subtle, but not too overpowering. The texture is surprisingly thick, almost like a balm, but it spreads easily and absorbs quickly into the skin. It leaves a beautiful, subtle glow without feeling super greasy. It works well as both a moisturizer and primer, making makeup apply smoothly. I like how it felt on my skin. You could definitely use this on its own without makeup, as I found it have me a very subtle glow without makeup. I also love the cute jar it comes in!
