Tresemme CONDITIONER SMOOTH & SILKY 940 ML

TRESemme's Smooth & Silky Conditioner is specially formulated for dry, frizz-prone hair, leaving it 2x smoother* and salon-soft. Enriched with sunflower seed oil and vitamin A, our conditioner tames unruly hair and delivers intense moisturisation where your hair needs it most. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely smooth and silky [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed trialling the TRESemmé smooth and silky conditioner as I am currently lightening my hair for summer, so it’s a bit dry at the moment. I found the conditioner to be really moisturising and my hair did feel really smooth afterwards, so the “silky” aspect is there. I still had a little bit of frizz around my hairline but I have a lot of new growth around my hairline (after having a baby and losing some hair post partum) that has been sticking up like i had been electrocuted and this conditioner made a huge difference. I think on normal frizz this would be very effective! My hair looked come up really shiny after blow drying but also after just air drying which is great as I don’t like to blow dry my hair too often. Overall I would recommend this conditioner and will probably buy again.

I have used tresemme products for years and have especially loved their Moisture rich variety but think I have found a new favourite! I double shampoo my hair then applied the conditioner which I left in for between 5-10 minutes, it has a really nice scent and washed out really well. It left my hair feeling silky soft. When my hair was dried though was when I really noticed how great these products are! My hair had 0 frizz, felt so soft and the brush literally went through my hair like melted butter! No knots! I straightened my hair and was blown away by how soft and shiny my hair looked and felt! Cannot wait to wash my hair again! Highly recommend to everyone but especially anyone with dry, frizz prone hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great blend [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Conditioner with Silk Proteins & Argan Oil - where do I begin… The fragrance was hard to pinpoint but it was fresh, fruity and very appealing. It was easy to apply and only a small amount was needed. I have shoulder length hair and found that it coated my hair nicely. It lathered up straight away which was a relief as other products I’ve used I needed double the amount to do the same job. Applying the conditioner achieved good coverage and left my hair feeling light without the heaviness that other products with similar ingredients have done. My hair felt softer and after styling had a slight reduction in frizz and quiet smooth - probably need to consistently use it to see the long term benefits but overall I was really happy with the products. Loved the new colour way and would definitely recommend it. Nice work!

I didn't have to tug my comb through the tangles afterwards, which is a huge bonus! Partnered with TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Shampoo with Silk Proteins & Argan Oil they made for the perfect pair, leaving my hair so soft to the touch, and sweet smelling. I have used TRESemmé in the past but obviously the "Improved Formula" made all the difference, and I intend to keep using it due to the overall feel of the product/s. It left my hair so much softer without any heaviness or build up. My hair feels lighter and bouncier than ever!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Affordable backup conditioner I have curly hair and use a combination of hair products to achieve the healthiest and nicest looking hair for me. In terms of conditioning, this is my base and back up at all times. The formula is smooth and moisturising, leaving my hair feeling silky and soft (which is very unusual). I also use a purple toning conditioner from essano (I've also reviewed it) and sometimes a high end curl conditioner from my hairstylist. This mix works wonders for me, but when used alone I definitely recommend Tresemmé's salon quality range considering its affordability.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have frizzy hair that is also fine and can get limp. This conditioner is quite nice for my hair type. I like the big value container with a pump. It makes it easy to get out. I find this conditioner quite light weight on my hair and soaks in very nicely. It is a very light conditioner so I think if you have thick hair or very dry hair you'd need something else. That being said it's got some nice ingredients such as argan oil and acids to smooth the hair. I find this does help my frizz and smooths it down. It lasts a couple days on my hair before it starts to get a bit frizzy. I wish it was a bit more hydrating but if I want smooth hair this is great especially before straighting or blow drying. Overall not a bad lightweight conditioner.

The TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Conditioner with Silk Proteins & Argan Oil delivers intense moisture and nourishment to your hair. It helps to combat frizz and flyaways without weighing your hair down. I believe that this conditiknr, like its shampoo counterpart, is light enough for daily use and would suit most hair types, especially those with dry hair that are prone to frizz. advanced argan oil cleanses and helps tame unruly hair, leaving it smooth and salon soft. The TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Conditioner with Silk Proteins & Argan Oil makes your hair nice and soft and it is surprisingly luxurious for a supermarket conditioner. Very dry hair may need some extra hydration but for an all rounder, this is a good conditioner.

Unfortunately I didn’t think it performed quite so well. I had hoped for an intense moisturising conditioner, as it says on the bottle but I found it to be pretty ordinary. I suppose it did help to soften and moisturise to a point but my hair wasn’t left feeling anything special. I found that it is better to use sparingly so as not to leave your hair feeling greasy or heavy at the end. I think I would probably pass on this in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to be one of the few to trial this TRESemmé Smooth and Silky Conditioner, along with its corresponding Shampoo. The bottles given were of a very generous proportion, which was a nice treat for me given that I have extremely long hair and thus am always on the look for something that can not only cover my hair needs, but not run out too quickly on me. All in all, these products were lovely. When using the conditioner, I found it to also be very silky in texture and had a nice, but not strong, pleasant smell. Pleasant but not strong smell is ideal to me so I was happy with that! The conditioner applied well to the hair, I found it very easy to distribute evenly, which is always a plus for me as I find I am always having to use SO MUCH of my products. Although I probably still used more than normal, I found that it distributed well and made it so I was able to use it nicely and without ending up running out of conditioner faster than shampoo (I'm sure we all are familiar with that issue from time to time!) After letting it sit as usual for a nice amount of time, came the rinsing! I found that this product rinsed out nicely, not clinging too much to the hair as some can (which leaves a greasy feeling) so it was easy to rinse out but also left my hair feeling very nice afterwards. Once my hair had dried I noticed it was exactly as the bottle said it was be - it was very smooth and very silky! You could very beautifully see each strand and the hair all had a nice subtle shine to it. It was much easier to brush and keep manageable regardless of products and any split ends that felt harsh beforehand had been softened quite surprisingly more than expected! Which is always a welcomed treat. Ultimately it was a good experience, but maybe more for the mid-length hair people.

This is a generously sized conditioner that smells delicious – a bit of a sweet floral fragrance that definitely lingers into the next day. The pump pack easily dispenses the perfect amount of product. On application, the conditioner was thick and helped to immediately detangle my hair in the shower. I left it on for a few minutes to help it soak into my hair, especially the parched ends. After use, my hair felt somewhat soft, however, I feel like this conditioner does not have ‘lasting power’ and rinses off too easily. As a result, my hair did feel conditioned but it did not control my frizzy hair. Overall, this is a good (not groundbreaking), easily accessible and budget friendly conditioner for normal hair, however those with dry/damaged/frizzy hair, expect to require the use of a defrizzing serum afterwards.

Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to be part of the Trial Team to test TRESemmé Smooth & Silky Conditioner. As I’ve aged, I have found that my hair is getting frizzier and harder to manage and style. So I was excited to try this conditioner with its claims of taming unruly hair by calming frizz and flyaways. I was only able to use this product a couple of times during the trail period. Loved the fragrance which was fresh and absolutely divine. I didn’t require an excessive amount for my thick, long hair which was great. This product left my hair extremely soft, initially smooth and my hair didn’t go greasy for 3 days. However, in the short period of use, it didn’t improve or reduce my frizz, or help defend against humidity. I’d recommend this product as an affordable conditioner for clean and soft hair. But as for help with frizz, this wouldn’t be my choice.

I'm not sure why they don't put both Shampoo and Conditioner together as one review as I believe in order to receive the full benefits of these products they need to be used in conjunction with one another. My review is based off the Tresemme Smooth and Silky Conditioner only and how I think it compares to other conditioners on the market. Firstly, the smell of the conditioner is light and not too empowering which is a bonus for me. the consistency is slightly thick and easy to apply. This conditioner comes in a large pump bottle that is easy to use. I've used this conditioner daily for one week straight. Unfortunately, my hair did not feel any smoother or silky. I actually felt the product made my hair drier. Perhaps using it daily is not recommended and I will try using it every second day instead to see if there is any improvements. I personally have used other conditioners that have left my hair softer and smoother then this product. I think it is great value for the size it comes in.

I have always struggled to find a product that helps with my frizz, so although this did not work for me, this product may be successful for others. My frizz may also be contributed to by how I dry my hair, etc. I believe by taking all the steps correctly to dry and style your hair, this product may be amazing, but unfortunately in my case, this did not work for me. I would suggest using a little bit more product than recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable Affordable Conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the shampoo, this conditioner has a lovely smell, that lingers after you have conditioned your hair. I found it easy to apply throughout my long hair, and I combed it through my hair before rinsing with ease. My hair is long and curly, and when it dried my hair was not as smooth and silky as I thought it would be, as there was frizz towards ends of my hair. In saying that my hair often needs very intensive conditioning; and I always end up having to add in my regular leave in conditioner on my hair when it is dry. I would have liked a pump dispenser, but overall it is a reasonable conditioner at a very affordable price.

My hair is feral, first to admit that!! My daughter also used this product and it was great for her non coloured hair long hair. Would recommend for price but not if your hair is in poor condition. Bottle is a great size and good for sitting in the bottom of the shower. Smell is Devine and you don’t need a whole lot to go a long way so value for money. Works better in conjunction with the shampoo. Would be great with a pump on top to make it easier to get out instead of handling a big bottle.. worked pretty well with straightening afterwards.

It is a little bit heavy on my hair and makes my scalp a bit oily easily. It is kinda just the same as those conditioners in the market. It was great to try but probably will not buy with my own money. Packaging is also not so convenient because it has no pump , you have to tip over the big bottle. There are better ones with the same price point. Prefer those with pump on the bottle since it makes it so much easier and faster to get the right amount of product.

If your main concern is scent, this is the conditioner for you. It feels nice to apply, not greasy or heavy, and washed out easily. I did notice it took a bit longer to dry my hair than previous conditioners I have used. My fine hair didn't feel heavy but didn't feel extra smooth or silky either, and this conditioner didn't protect my strands from frizz. The second it started raining my hair turned to a fluffy mess. This is an okay conditioner for general use, or when my favourite is out of stock, but not one I would go out of my way to purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good for a supermarket conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I'm usually pretty fussy with what goes on my hair and reality is that this conditioner just doesn't quite live up to my standards but in saying that, it's actually not too bad for a conditioner that you can easily buy at the supermarket and it won't break the bank. I do have dry hair and a normal scalp. I found that it feels luxurious upon application to my hair and smells nice (I did get some compliments on how my hair smelt). I had used the matching shampoo prior to conditioning. My hair felt smooth and silky when still wet. After drying, I found that it didn't help my frizziness though. So this was disappointing as I would have through because of the silk proteins and argan oil, it would have smoothed it down.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fragrant and voluminous but not super 'smooth' [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This conditioner, like the shampoo, smells great and reminds me of getting my hair done at the salon. It's thick and glossy and doesn't run straight out of my hand when transferring it onto my hair. It left my hair well de-tangled and feeling smooth after rinsing. However, my hair wasn't as 'silky' as I was expecting after letting it dry, which is a little disappointing - it wasn't super frizzy or dry, but just not super smooth (for reference I have a natural wave/curl but by no means super curly or frizzy hair). Although the conditioner didn't smooth my hair a lot, it did leave it feeling light with plenty of volume, not weighed down at all. I would still definitely recommend this conditioner based off the scent and bang for buck.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Left my hair disappointingly dry [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I so wanted to like this conditioner, as I have struggled to find a shampoo and conditioner combo that leaves my hair soft and silky like a trip to the salon. One pump was enough to do my shoulder length hair, which is great. Unfortunately, that is where the joy ended. Although the conditioner went on silky, it didn't really seem to wash out properly, leaving a slick even after a few minutes of rinsing. And after a week of use every day, my hair is very dry and almost straw like, but with a slight residue. Unfortunately, I am not keen to continue using this one on my hair type.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Basic and economical conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TRESemme Smooth & Silky Conditioner like its partner shampoo claims a "salon quality formula" and it does tame the frizz reasonably well, without using harsh chemicals, parabens or alcohol. Still I found it a little heavy, weighing down my thick, wavy hair, a little too much. With only a small amount needed, the large 940mls bottle it comes in will last a very long time. After washing with TRESemmé Smooth & Silky shampoo, I applied the conditioner through my hair. Running my fingers through the length to coat it and detangle. I then left on for 2-3 minutes then rinsed. While it certainly detangles I found the conditioner took a lot of rinsing! And even after I had rinsed... a lot, my hair still felt quite heavy and slippery with conditioner. A little bit goes a very long way!! I dont really like the feel of the conditioner on my hair even though it is reasonably taming for my fly aways. My hair felt a bit flat. Still an ok and economical stand by to use occasionally.

It’s been foiled, so it’s a little dry, but not too bad. It does get a little frizzy in the dry weather. I have used a lot of different products over the years as trial and error and have a pretty solid routine that works for me, but am always looking for improvements. If you have curly hair – you’ll know. This conditioner seemed a little this compared to the products I’m used to. It didn’t smell as strong as the shampoo, but again, not pleasant and not unpleasant. It was really hard to rinse it from my hair – it took a really really long time. It made my wet hair feel soft, like it was going to dry nicely but in conjunction with the matching shampoo, it just doesn’t work for me unfortunately. It left my hair looking and feeling pretty greasy and kind of flat and limp. I think this would probably suit someone with type 1 or 2 hair that’s quite dry, that can handle the oils in it better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great smell but not perfect for my hair type [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the conditioner following the shampoo . Both have a great silky texture and it smells fantastic! My hair is dark, long, straight and normal and frizzy on the roots with dry split ends. I only needed a little bit for the ends . It will leave your hair smelling amazing for many hours. But unfortunately it made my hair look dull, even dryer for some reason and lifeless. I was hoping for a super shiny, non frizzy, malleable and soft hair and it didn't help me achieve these results. It gave a great volume to my hair, which I liked. Please note, your hair type probably have to be very dry to use this product. Mine is normal on the roots and dry on the end. It didn't help much with the look of split ends either. I have been using vegan, all natural shampoos and conditioners free of sulphates and parabens for a while now, and that is probably also the reason why my hair didn't adapt to this formula. I wish the bottles were fully done with a better and more sustainable material than plastic, also don’t love the design of the bottles at all. If you want your bathroom looking good You probably won’t go for these products. I honestly won't purchase this product in the future.
