Directions

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jess R from Tough Hands Fragrance Free With the constant handwashing we are doing these days my hands have really began to suffer. This Hand cream comes in a large tube which makes it quite economical. It is Australian made and owned which is becoming rarer and rarer these days so I really love that. There are no nasties and it's fragrance free which is also another big plus for me. I prefer my skincare and makeup products to be free of fragrance as they are unnecessary and can be irritating (FYI-I gave up wearing perfumes over 7 years ago now!). This hand cream claims to repair dry, rough, cracked, irritated and calloused hands, with visible effects in one day and I will say it absolutely delivers. You only need a really small amount to sooth your whole hands. I also really like their heal balm but I am out at the moment so I used this on my heals before going to bed and then put my socks over and it definitely helped. Recommend to everyone these days since we are all washing our hands so much.

I was attracted to this product because it appealed to the male market, so I knew it was no frills. I knew it would be effective, scent free, highly absorbent and does what it says. And this is correct. This is great value for money because you get a nice large tube of this gel like hand cream. It is a clear, gel like texture but still feels super hydrating like a cream. It says to use it multiple times a day upon first few days use then once a day before bed is enough. When I forget to moisturise for a few days, my hands get really dry. So I start using this again after every hand wash, and I find it only takes one day for my cuticles and hands to be so much better and hydrated and soft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elunia from Exactly what my hands needed Thank you BH and Du'It for sending me the Tough Hands Fragrance Free Intensive Skin Repair Hand cream to review. This cream comes in a generous 150g pack and is packaged in a matte feeling soft plastic tube which sits on its head with a flip top lid so that product is always ready to dispense. The cream itself is white in colour and has a ointment like texture. I had a good sniff of the product and I could not smell a thing which is great as this is supposed to be fragrance free. I suffer from really dry skin on my hands which has gotten worse with needing to use hand sanitizer more often (due to covid). I have had three finger infections in less than a year due to the skin on my hands splitting due to dryness and hang nails keeps on developing. I have been finding that the vast majority of hand creams which I have been given to me as gifts or I have bought have not been moisturing enough to keep my skin in good condition. More often I am finding that the creams are absorbing into my skin and all traces of it disappears and my skin feels the same as before in a very short space of time so I need to apply more and more there are very few hand creams out there which gives my hands the intense moisture treatment I need. From the moment I put this Tough Hands Hand Cream on I felt a difference in the feel of the skin on my hands and this hand cream is up there with the great hand moisturisers. The ointment appearing cream glides on and instantly my skin feels smoother and I can feel a barrier protecting my skin without a greasy feeling. You don't need too much, so massage a little bit in and if you need more add some more to your hands. The only thing I don't like is the packaging ie the colours are so loud and it does not look nice but don't let that stop you from trying this product, you won't regret it unless you love girly scents. I am also a sucker for Made in Australia, so this also ticks that box!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Donnamaree from best for super dry hands Most effective hand cream I've ever used. I have always had really dry hands that sometimes split around the fingers and cuticles. Unfortunately it does leave the hands feeling like you've covered them in Lanolin. Best used at bedtime or when relaxing watching the tv or any other time you don't need to use your hands much. My son who is a mechanic also uses tough hands and keeps some both at home and at work. If your hands are really super dry I recommend applying tough hands and then wearing cotton gloves to bed, doing this every night for a week or so really works.

I knew my hands needed something strong and effective to repair them after repeated hand washing. I had also purchased and used the DU’IT for her cream first so when I started using this one, it wasn’t as nice. Firstly it is unscented which is a good thing for those that don’t wish to apply a scented hand cream. It is still effective and after a few days my hands continued to feel soft and protected from moisture loss. This unscented version is great value compared to the various scented ones they have on the market. Easy to apply from the tube and is of a slightly more runny consistency than a regular hand cream. Absorbs well into the skin. This is a big tube so should hopefully last me a while but I will only use it in times of extreme need and continue to use my regular scented hand creams for most days.

The texture is so soothing and nourishing and absorbs into skin easily without leaving a greasy residue. As we have been sanitising and washing hands frequently this hand cream is so handy to make sure our hands do not dry out. I had a problem of cracked skin near my nails , this hand cream healed the skin within days and now my hands are super soft and moisturised. Love that it comes in such a generous sized tube, so can be shared with the whole family. It is unscented so great for using even with sensitive skin as there is no perfume or fragrance in this cream to create issues for skin sensitivity. A great essential product to have. Love how it heals dry hands and is so effective to use. My whole family enjoys using this product.

It is fragrance free which is great for people who don’t like fragrance or are sensitive to fragrance. I actually have OCD so I do wash my hands quite a lot, especially now days. So getting to use the DU’IT Tough Hands Fragrance Free has been really, really good for my hands. DU’IT Tough Hands Fragrance Free has actually been proven to fix bad hands within five days!! It also renovates damaged, dry, calloused hands as well which is amazing! DU’IT Tough Hands Fragrance Free is a thick lotion, it’s also non greasy and it actually absorbed really well into my hands every time. Overall it is a great hand cream that I would recommend to anyone and everyone, especially people that wash their hands a lot. I’ll continue to use it as its great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by nidhi1 from For gentle hands Since the beginning of the pandemic I have been washing my hands alot and using the sanitizer without even counting so this handcream has come as a saviour. The packaging is quite average and comes in a normal tube which works just fine to take just the prefect amount of product. It doesn’t have any good fragrance but does have a strange smell to it but that doesn’t bother as I usually just apply it before going to bed. The moisturizer is very thick but surprisingly it doesn’t leave any sticky residue and absorbed into my skin really quickly. It contains Urea which is a super moisturizing agent, After using it for 3-4 days I noticed a huge difference in my hands, the skin just felt soft and smooth. After a while the smell doesn’t even bother me. They say its perfect for hands dealing with chemicals and latex gloves and I can toally how this can work so well. Overall I am loving this and really happy with this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by maydayismyday from No nonsense hand cream that works! Du’it Tough Hands skin repair cream comes in a HUGE 150g tube. The packaging claims visible effects in one day for dry, cracked and irritated hands and has a 100% money back guarantee. The cream is quite thick and you don’t need to use much at all to cover both hands. Once applied there is a slightly greasy feel so I would advise putting this one on before bed or when relaxing in front of the TV. While the packaging says that it’s fragrance free there is definitely a chemical/alcohol kind of scent immediately after applying but thankfully that disappears fairly quickly. This is a no nonsense hand cream that gets the job done. I definitely saw improvement straight away. I have very dry hands as I have a job where I have to use hand sanitiser multiple times a day. My hands are definitely smoother and softer. My cuticles have seen some improvement as well but not as much as I’d hoped but this will probably come with prolonged use. While I prefer my more ‘girly’ smelling lotions and potions I can’t deny that this does the job better than most of those. Definitely a more ‘substance over style’ product that suits me just fine.

I trialled this through Beauty Heaven's 'BEST IN BEAUTY BOX 2021!' TRIAL and can say I hadnt actually seen this product previously so was intrigued. Instructions indicate that you should Initially apply 2 or 3 times daily to clean, dry skin and at bedtime for 7 days then as necessary to maintain softer and younger looking hands. I have built this in as part of my bedtime routine and am definitely surprised at the results, plus i have been enjoying the nightly hand massage which has been relaxing prior to bed time. Although my hands arnt involved in manual labour on a regular basis. I did do alot of painting over the few days of trailing and the hand cream was a welcome relief for overworked hands that were work out.

The product comes in a sturdy plastic white, yellow, and blue 150g tube with a convenient flip top lid. I was keen to try this product as my hands have been quite dry lately; with frequent hand washing and sanitising, my hands were starting to feel a bit rough and chapped and in need of some serious moisturising! The cream is easy to apply and is not too thick, being more like a lotion in texture. It is not too greasy or oily, and is unscented and almost colourless. It absorbs fairly quickly, leaving my hands feeling quite soft and well moisturised, but does leave a bit of sticky residue. I applied this residue to my elbows and knees, and it worked well at softening these areas too! I used this hand cream a couple of times per day (after washing hands), and it continued to make my hands feel soft and soothed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LeBec from Silicone Gloves for Working Hands I've received a sample of this product before in a scented version, so I knew exactly what to expect from this unscented version I'm now able to trial. Firstly, I do agree that this product helps protect your hands when working 'rough' with them, however, it doesn't do this in quite the same way as you may be used to. It does it by way of a silicone layer that seals in and out moisture. I don't really expect as many long-term skin benefits from this type of product versus the more pampering essential-oils based formulas that are my usual preference for nighttime rituals. That's when I bust out the expensive stuff! But it does help you to avoid stripping out your skin when your hands do need to get 'tough'! This type of product is best for use only on those days when you're working outside with your hands and you might be needing to wash them off frequently and thus you want a little bit of the protection of gloves without the sensitivity loss of actually wearing them (especially relevant for women's smaller hands as they often don't fit so well). For me I use this sometimes when I'm going out to work with my horses or it's quite handy for painting as the paint will peel off or wash off much easier with the silicone underneath. I appreciate the lack of synthetic smell with this one, as it is a bit cloying on the other version (I'm very sensitive to scent). This is very much the same as a really old Avon product 'Silicone Glove' that was pretty much exactly the same - just harder to purchase as they never sold it in stores. Anyway, whilst silicone is not thought to be super harmful to us in certain ways (cookware/against the skin) what I do worry about is the residue of it getting into our waterways, aquatic animals and our bodies via the skin with frequent use. I mean there is a real health issue complication caused in women with ruptured silicone implants leaking throughout the body- so I do worry about these things and how good they are for us over the long term, so I whilst I would use this occasionally during dirty work, for this reason, I don't want to use it daily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aleksandra from Reliable, effective and fast-acting hand cream I was excited to trial the DU’IT Tough Hands intensive skin repair hand cream which is marketed as being fragrance free. In COVID times, we are now washing and sanitising our hands more than ever. I know I sure am, and my hands are definitely feeling it! Over the last few months, my hands have been dry and irritated at times, so it was the perfect time to give them a little TLC. The hand cream comes packaged in a sturdy squeeze tube container with a flip top lid. There is nothing particularly special about the packaging – it’s not luxe and won’t really look pretty among your other creams. For me, this isn’t really an issue. If a product hits the mark and delivers great results, this is a non-issue. The hand cream dispenses as a thick lotion with no immediate fragrance detected by me. Once applied to the skin, the cream absorbs into my hands in a matter of seconds! It is not greasy at all, and it’s just such a delight that I can quickly apply this hand cream and then get on with my day, be that typing on my keyboard or getting dressed and getting in the car. Once rubbed into the skin, I do notice a slight rubber/plastic smell. If I am around someone, I don’t find the scent to be noticeable, it’s only if I really try and detect a scent that I notice this. While using the hand cream consistently, both during the day and before bed at night for it to really sink in, my hands are now softer than ever. They are smooth, moisturised, they aren’t irritated from the wind as they normally are if I’m out for a walk, and they aren’t irritated from constant use of hand sanitizers. It’s a miracle hand cream – I love it! I’ve tried using the cream on my feet to see if it would also be effective as a foot cream to help combat my dry skin, and that also was a success – great multi-use! For under $12 I think this hand cream is an absolute steal. I will definitely continue using this product and would recommend it to those with sensitive skin who really need a reliable, effective and fast-acting hand cream which will take care of your skin time and time again.

I definitely suffer from dry hands and skin so anything that can help with hydration gets my attention. So without further adieu, here's what I thought about this product: PACKAGING: "Tough Hands" hand cream comes packaged in a plastic no-nonsense squeeze tube with a flat flip-top lid that you can rest the product on between uses to ensure the cream drains to the functional end. The lid is navy as is the type-face with yellow and white colour accents and a black and white picture of a fist in the centre as befits the "Tough Hands"theme. It is a no-frills, somewhat masculine styling reflective if its a practical purpose to get tough on skin dryness. I suspect its mainly targeted at men based on its packaging but I don't think women would feel like they couldn't buy it. The size is also generous at 150g which I like. PRODUCT: The cream itself is almost balm like in texture - it feels a bit slick but not sticky. It absorbs quite well without feeling greasy. The tube says it is "industrial strength" which to me is a little amusing - obviously aimed at a more male audience. It is fragrance free largely but there is a residual scent of something I can't quite place - but it's not a bad smell. PERFORMANCE: I quite like how this hand cream performs on my ultra dry skin. It does make my skin feel softer and look more hydrated. The slickness does stay on the palms a while-: not sticky but definitely a lightly slippery residue. It's a gentle cream and I think would be suitable for sensitive skin in spite of its tough image. All in all, this was a pretty good hand cream for every day use. It does soften and hydrate straight away and would be a good cream for the whole family to use.

First off let me just say that that packaging whilst it does stand out it would probably be something I would pass up on just because of that. I was grateful to be able to try this because now that I have I will most likely keep using this especially in the winter. The cream itself is a whiteish / grey colour, you only need an amount the size of a pea, it can take a bit to get it to absorbs into your skin but once absorbed my hands feel nice and smooth. I found that if I use to big an amount it leaves my hands feeling sticky and greasy. I have also tried this on my feet and it did make them feel moisturised, but be sure to put socks on after otherwise you are liable to slip over. With the size of the tube for the price it is definitely good value for money.

The cream itself is relatively easy to apply. It does leave a bit of barrier feel for a while, but it doesn’t seem to transfer, so I didn’t mind it. I love that this is Australian made and owned and I also love that it is fragrance free. The scent is hard to describe – it’s almost like “plastic” – but it’s not strong and fades quickly. I didn’t mind it, but Hubby really didn’t like it. I often get eczema on my fingers, so I have to be careful about what products I use. After my first use, I noticed that an hour or so later, I could see and feel the difference - so much softer! After using a couple of times a day for a week, my hands are feeling in much better condition – including my cuticles and nails. I also used it on my feet and I’m very impressed with how soft and lovely they are. I had Hubby try it out too and his rough man hands have shown great results too. The truth is, this hand product isn’t pretty – the packaging, the scent, the feel is all a bit industrial. But it works. It does exactly what it says and I will continue to use it and will repurchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Disaroni from A great hand cream for everyone The product is super intensive, so you only need to apply a pea sized amount to hands (this will ensure that you are not applying too much, which may make the product feel tacky). Apply 2-3 times daily to clean, dry skin and at bedtime for 7 days then as necessary to maintain softer and younger looking hands. It’s perfect for dry, cracked and rough/irritated hands. I have given it to my hubby to use and he loves it at he has calloused knuckles from being a tradie. It doesn’t have a perfume so Men will love this and the packaging itself is quite manly so they won’t feel weird using it. This Australian made product is easily acquired at Pharmacies and supermarkets nation wide for around $10 for the 150gm tube. It’s an opaque consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin and the flip top lid of the tube means it’s easy to store and won’t leak.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Carol404 from Works well Even though I would not give Tough Hands fragrance free five stars it does have that intensive skin repair as stated.I always end up with very dry hands through the Winter months and have found since using DU'IT Tough Hands my hands are softer smoother and have lost that cracked appearance that Winter brings on.I followed the instructions to only use a pea size but unfortunately still found that it was hard to blend and did leave a very sticky residue which I did not like but after a while it dried and worked well,It is definetely fragrance free as stated but I am not overjoyed with the appearance of the product In my opinion looks more like an industrial cleaner for a more masculine type of person but as I said before it does the job intended and works well so I would recommend for use as a skin repair

Rated 4 out of 5 by onlyoni from Nourishing and hydrating I received a tube of DU’IT Tough Hands Fragrance Free as part of the Best in Beauty Awards 2021 trial box. This is a large tube containing 150g of product and has the same identifiable colours and design of other DU’IT products I’ve used. I’ve previously used Tough Hands but not Fragrance Free. This hand cream has a milky white, creamy gel-like consistency which is easy to massage into my hands and melts into my skin leaving my hands feeling soothed and soft. I only need a small amount to cover both hands because the hand cream spreads so easily. I find the hand cream takes a few minutes to dry down but then my hands have a nice velvety touch. This product is formulated for dry, cracked and irritated hands, which doesn’t exactly fit the description of my hands but lately they have been a little drier than normal. I’ve been using the DU’IT Tough Hands Fragrance Free mainly as my night hand cream for the past 12 days to really give the cream a chance to do its job of repairing any damage while I sleep, and it’s worked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Princess Fiona1 from Soft Hands Thanks to Beauty Heaven and DU’IT for sending me the Tough Hands Fragrance Free is a fragrance-free hand cream to try. Between winter and the constant use of sanitiser, my hands are currently always dry. This hand cream is designed to give long-term moisture and protection, while being free from fragrances and other chemical nasties such as parabens and mineral oil. It also contains natural lactic acid which helps gently exfoliate away any dead skin cells and dryness, which I really like. I admit to usually liking a scented hand cream, for me the sensory part of a product is an important part, but for night time, I admit that it can be nice that it is unscented. Plus it makes it great for your hubby too. It is very concentrated so you only need the smallest amount - too much and you’re left with greasy and sticky hands, so it does take a little getting used to - but once you got it right, it does absorb quickly into the hands and leaves them feeling soft and hydrated. While I have dry hands, they are far from cracked or irritated, so I cannot speak of its claims of visibly working on that within a day, but used each night, you do wake with hands that are ready to face the day. Plus the tube is huge with 150ml for just $11.95, so it is great value too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lindylou from Good hand repair cream for sensitive skin I’ve tried a number of Du’it products in the past but not this one. This Australian made hand cream provides intensive skin repair for dry, cracked and irritated hands. It claims to give visible effects in one day. Luckily I don’t suffer these but I’ve been doing lots of diy painting so it has been timely to try this. This is a white almost gel like product with a slight smell that is not noticeable unless you sniff yours hands immediately after applying. It feels like runny Vaseline but contains no mineral oils or petrolatum. There are no animal products and they don’t test on animals. This hand cream (interestingly they don’t call it hand cream) absorbs fairly quickly but as it works as a shield against chemicals etc there is a residue on your hand so insert contact lenses before using. After using it my hands (and cuticles) feel soft and smooth and it has potentially prevented damage from the aforementioned painting and hand washing, I also wear gloves most days at work so it helps there too. My hands do feel a little slippery after using it but this isn’t really an issue, although it does feel a little greasy between my fingers. As I don’t have any particular skin issues it’s difficult to know if it would help with them, I should try it on the hard skin on my feet! I think using it before painting might also help to keep my hands soft and help the paint come off more easily. I do like hand creams with a nice smell so I will keep this by the sink for using after painting, gardening etc, and hopefully I can persuade my husband to use it too. This lasts 12 months after opening so it will get plenty of use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by IndieAna from Du'it Tough Hands I was very fortunate to be invited to trial the 2021 Best in Beauty Box. One of the products included in the box is the Du'it Tough Hands hand cream. Not only does this hand cream have AHAs for exfoliating and hydration properties from urea and sodium PCA, it also creates a barrier to protect hands from damage caused by such things as hand washing, wearing gloves and other irritations. The hand cream comes in a plastic tube with flip-top lid containing 150g of product. It is a rich cream with a light scent that I can't really discern because it is fragrance free. This hand cream feels so nice as I massage into my hands it's smooth without being heavy or sticky. It absorbs quickly enough for daily use. Along with washing my hands often, I have been doing quite a lot of gardening lately so my hands have really copped some abuse. This cream soothes and hydrates. It also protects which I notice when after washing, my hands don't feel as dry. I understand why Du'uit Tough Hands hand cream has gotten such a good reputation, it does everything promised, whilst also being fuss free to use any time of day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazeballs16 from Tough Hands I recieved a tube of this with my Best In Beauty Trial Box. I have previously tried the Tough hands for her and the hand scrub before. My hands are very neglected and often dry and crack to the extent that I either get dermatitis or cracks which bleed on my knuckles (which is very irritating!) This is a good daily hand cream, my hands feel soft and smooth initially after applying however this seems to wear off and my hands are still in a bad condition (dry, cracked, flaky patches of dryness) after using. I liked the lightweight texture of the hand cream and how easily absorbed it was (when I didn't over apply) and how there was no fragrance to it. I will continue to use this hand cream but most likely won't be purchasing, my hands need something much richer and more repairing than this and unfortunately this has not quite cut it, it does feel nice initially when applying but it is like a film of sorts, it wears off and my hands are back to being dry and rough again. The reason I have given four stars is because of the condition of my hands, those less neglected will find this to be quite good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by renee.t from Great for winter skin My hands are feeling pretty dry at the moment (as I’m sure everyone’s are!) due to it being cold and washing my hands so much! First let’s start with the packaging - it’s ugly it looks more like a product that you would find in Bunnings than in your bathroom but it is functional and doesn’t leak. As this product is so concentrated you only need to use a pea size amount which is great because it will last longer but also because it means your hands don’t feel sticky at all. I’ve mostly been using this at night and I’ve found that my hands feel better when I wake up in the morning. This is a no fuss product that anyone could use to hydrate their hands. I do like this product but I would prefer something that has more of a scent - I generally don’t like scent in my skin care and this is the one place I enjoy having a nice scent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Simone from Tough Hands Tough Hands comes in a large 150g tube. It has a bright blue cap and a yellow band around the tube with a large fist on the front. It would surely stand out on a shelf display. A little cream goes a long way and it's formula is on the thicker side. But it rubs in very nicely and quite swiftly. Most importantly it doesn't leave your hands feeling all greasy like some other products I've used. The cream has no scent making it a great product for men or women. My husband actually really loves using it and claims it for himself often. My hands like many others at the moment are dry due to winter and using so much hand sanitiser. But within a few days of using this hand cream I have seen a great. improvement in my hands. They retain more moisture and are less dry than what they were.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sparklesparkle from Oldie but a goodie Wow it's been many years since I last used a Du'it product, but was happy to revisit this brand as part of the trial. I admit when I started using it at first I hadn't read the instructions - I kept it next to my laptop and used it throughout the day, thinking how tacky and unpleasantly thick it felt, leaving everything I touch greasy/tacky... then I read the instructions which specifically says not to use more than a pea sized amount. Doh! It really is less is more with this product. Don't get me wrong it still left more of a tacky/thick feeling or residue than the usual handcreams I use, but it was tolerable and great for the cuticles. Because it didn't feel like it fully absorbed I did prefer using this at night just before bed, again really working it into the cuticles. It's fragrance free so it has that fragrance free smell, but it's not a strong smell and it doesn't bother me. Personally I don't like heavily fragrance hand creams.

I used this hand cream nightly before going to bed and also during the day. It is a light almost transparent cream and is unscented. The cream glides like a wonder cream onto my hands. The tube cream is sticker sealed and the cream itself absorbs quickly into my skin and is not greasy. The tube is 150g and only a little bit is needed so this tube lasts a long time. I love how nourishing and quickly it absorbs into my skin. I also applied to my cuticles and my nails to keep my skin soft and supple. Use only a little bit because it can become sticky if you use too much, which is what happened to me the first time, I was so happy with the lotion that I used too much and soon my hands became sticky, so less is more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HelenT from Perfect hand cream for winter The DUIT tough hands cream has amazing formula that focus on extreme dry hands. I didn't believe it until I see the amazing result. My hand is extremely dry all year round and some of the hand creams I have used just don't work. I was lucky to be part of the trial team to try out the DUIT tough hand cream and I love the product. The hand cream has rather thick texture which feels good when applying on very dry hands. After applying the cream, my hands feels like there is a layer of protection keeping my skin soft and moisturised for hours. The only down side is that the cream is rather thick so it takes time to absorb and does feel slightly greasy. For that reason, I would use this hand cream in winter only or when my hand is feeling very dry. The cream is also great to use on cracked elbows and heels.

This is an intensive hand cream targeted at very dry and cracked hands, including sensitive and is fragrance-free. It comes in a 150g tube which is huge for a hand cream. It's Australian made and the design is male-friendly. Ingredients include urea (10%), lactic acid, Vit E. The hand cream is very thick and it's not the type that absorbs instantly. That's intentional as it is supposed to form a protective barrier. It's very good for places where you have cracked or peeling skin. I don't find it instantly hydrating, but that also means that the film it leaves behind doesn't wash away easily. I like applying a light lotion, letting my hands absorb that first, then apply this hand cream on top to seal everything in overnight. My husband has irritated and inflamed hands from dryness so I thought this product would be just the thing he needed. Unfortunately, the sensitive areas on his hands turned even redder 10 minutes after applying the hand cream, so he had to wash it off completely. So your mileage may vary, depending on your skin condition.

Rated 3 out of 5 by oliveoil from Good moisturiser Du’It Tough Hands Intensive Skin Repair claims visible effects on dry, cracked, irritated, rough, and calloused hands caused by repeated washing, prolonged use of latex gloves, chemicals, solvents, cement, cleaners, abrasive soaps, detergents, and other allergens and irritants. The visible effects printed in the tube include skin-smoothing, softening, moisturising, hydrating, reviving, maintaining younger-looking hands, and (what caught my eye) gloves hands with a non-greasy protective barrier to shield the skin from harsh environmental stresses and neglect! As an operating nurse, I was excited to try this product because I have to wash my hands frequently with very harsh antiseptic chemicals before surgery with prolonged use of latex gloves. This results to dry, cracked and irritated skin. Honestly , their description of for who this product is for was like they were describing myself. I brought this to work and I used it 2-3 times daily and at bedtime as directed. The results are it does everything it claims to do except for the non-greasy bit. My hands felt a bit greasy, which feels uncomfortable at work. Like, are my hands greasy from the moisturiser or did I touch something gross? Anyway, because of the awesome results, I’ve continued to use it at bedtime, but switched back to my non-greasy hand cream for work. I still see good results even with just bedtime use and would happily repurchase. My husband also likes to use this at night, also sees good results except for his callouses, which are still there but not as rough as before.
