General Information

DU’IT Tough Hands Fragrance Free is an intensive hand repair cream, that’s clinically proven to repair, moisturise and protect dry, rough and irritated hands. Visible results in 1 day, it’s non-greasy and works to seal cracks, replace lost oils, condition the skin and form a protective barrier to keep hands in top condition. Suitable for sensitive skin, it contains no nasties and is Australian made and owned.

Fragrance Free is specially developed for sensitive skin, Tough Hands contains no fragrance, allergens or irritants. It’s the perfect skincare and hand cream for sensitive skin.

DU’IT Tough Hands Fragrance Free is an advanced, multi-action hand cream treatment formula that contains skin smoothing natural lactic acid to exfoliate away dryness and improve skin texture and suppleness. This hand moisturiser is designed for hard working hands and provides guaranteed relief for: – Work-damaged hands, very dry cracked hands, tough, calloused hands, frequently washed hands, hands irritated by gloves, split or cracked fingers, perfect for tradies, hospitality workers, health care professionals and more.

Repairs dry, rough, cracked, irritated and calloused hands, with visible effects in 1 day. It’s non-greasy, made in Australia and contains no nasties.

Warnings

Stinging may occur on cracked skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs or seek medical advice.

Ingredients

Aqua/Water/Eau, Urea, Lactic Acid, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Sodium Lactate, PEG-100 Stearate, Ceteareth-20, Myristyl Myristate, Polysorbate 20, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium PCA, Sorbitan Laurate, Silica, Lauryl Pyrrolidone, PEG-20 Stearate, Piroctone Olamine, Disodium EDTA, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid.

Directions

Apply a small amount to hands, and massage into hands until fully absorbed. Initially apply 2 or 3 times daily to clean, dry skin and at bedtime for 7 days; then as necessary.

I’d never tried Du’it Tough Hands before now. Presented in a huge chunky 150g tube, the thick white handcream absorbs quickly and is deeply moisturising. It’s non greasy, and a small amount goes a long way. I have noticed an improvement in the condition of my cuticles since I’ve started using this cream too! It really is a good handcream, and lives up to its promises. I prefer to apply last thing before bed, and I also applied to my feet as well. However, I don’t like the packaging. The huge masculine looking tube doesn’t fit in with all my other girly things at all. I am a handcream junkie, and I prefer perfumed varieties. Plus there’s no way that huge tube would fit in my handbag. I wish they would make various tube sizes. I would recommend this handcream to anyone with really rough, dry hands, as it is an excellent product. It has worked for me, I’m just disappointed in the packaging, like others.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Repairing for sure but not fragrance free Du'It Tough hands does what it says on the label, it offers intensive skin repair. The hand repair cream comes in a generous 150g tube, so will last for a really long time. It's quite thick and goes on the skin clear. When it touches the skin it feels really nice and hydrating. The lotion is not oily or sticky at all and is quickly absorbed, so I found my hands did not feel sticky after applying the lotion. I used Du'It daily for about a week, I just kept it at my desk and applied a few times a day. Now my hands are super soft and hydrated. I also used the lotion on my feet and heels at night, it really helped with my dry heels and toes. The only negative feedback I have is the smell, it says it's fragrance-free but to me, it smells, the smell is a subtle vaseline type smell. Overall a good lotion to use on all of the dry parts of the skin on the body

Even tho it is labeled fragrance free, I noticed a strong scent when I first used the Du'it Tough Hands Intensive Skin Repair. I am assuming that this scent must be from one of the ingredients used. The hand cream goes on smoothly and is easy to spread all over your hands and fingers. This cream has no nasties and is Australian made and owned. Your hands immediately feel moisturised, but later when you expect the product to be absorbed, realise that your hands have a slightly tacky film on them which I do not particularly like. This cream may be ideal for people who want to have a barrier on their skin if they wash their hands frequently or are in contact with harsh chemicals frequently. However, as a daily hand cream, I do not care for this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not their target market This is a "tough hands" product. My hands are not that. I do not do any physical work with my hands. I'm almost always indoors. So they are not dry or cracked or irritated which is who the label says it is for. But I tried this cream. It's fragrance free, but smells like the old sorbolene creams... It's lighter than I expected. Goes on quite nicely and leaves a bit of a film on my hands. I rubbed it into my cuticles in particular as they are the most difficult parts of my hands I guess. My hands definitely felt softer afterwards, not sure if that is the film though. It says instant results but also to use for seven days for the full effect. I did not have time for the seven days but I can imagine it would be a good cream for someone who works with their hands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but not exceptional During winter I have very dry hands that frequently crack and feel tight, so I was excited to try this Tough Hands hand cream as it claimed repair dry and cracked hands. I have been using it at night for a week now and unfortunately I haven’t seen visible improvement in the condition of my hands. I will continue to use it to see if I get benefits over the course of a month. The cream itself is of medium thickness, and sinks in very quickly into the skin. It doesn’t leave a greasy residue like other hand creams, which is great if you want to use it at work and avoid a greasy keyboard or tools. It gas no discernible scent to me, which is nice. It is a really generous size for the price point, and will last a very long time which is a bonus! Overall it was a nice hand cream but didn’t blow me away in terms of effectiveness.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works, but I just really, truly dislike the packaging. Sorry! It's definitely an effective product. I've been applying this to my hands after cleaning and gardening; you only need the tiniest amount and it definitely moisturizes your hands very effectively without leaving them too slippery (unless you over-apply). However. The packaging is SUCH a huge drawback for me. I'm sorry, I know it's probably vain. But I take really great pride in my home and things, and I like to create a "feel" in areas in my house; I want my bathroom to look and feel as much like a spa as possible, my laundry room to feel like a calm, organized, soothing area... and this packaging just looks weirdly aggressive and out of place. It looks like it should be in my garage on the shelf next to the big bottle of superglue and the WD-40. I really don't know what they were thinking - unless they are deliberately marketing towards DYIers and/or people who are hesitant to use creams that look like creams... I don't get it. There are other ways to design packaging to not be frilly/girly and still not look like I have a tube of WD 40 sitting on my bathroom sink. And yes -it does make me put the product away where I can't see it... which makes me forget I have it, and use it less, even though it's so effective. For me, if I spend money on a "beautifying" product, I want it to fit my space or at least be neutral in my space - unless it is such a miracle worker that I want to have it out at the cost of sticking out like a sore thumb (no pun intended). There are simply other creams who do just as well or almost as well that I find more visually appealing. I've given the product 3 stars because it really is a good cream. I just can't in good conscience give it more when I personally find the packaging offputting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me I would like to thank beauty heaven and Du’It for giving me the opportunity to trial this hand cream. I am a big fan of hand creams, especially in these lockdown times where alcohol based hand sanitisers and constant hand washing have become a normal part of life. I know that my hands are particularly susceptible to cracking, redness and excessive dryness when I am constantly washing and sanitising them. Let me say first of all, that is tube is MASSIVE! You will not need to re-buy this very often! I did notice that on the packaging it does not actually say ‘hand cream’ anywhere, rather it says intensive skin repair, which I think would make it appeal to anyone that has dry cracked hands, male or female. The cream is very thick, and you only need a tiny amount to properly coat your hands. It does take a bit of work to get it fully absorbed, but I won’t mark it down for this. The one downside I found with this cream, is that while it is technically ‘unscented’, this does it mean that it is completely without scent. I found the scent of it to be a bit overpowering for me, and I wasn’t a big fan of it. I would rather it have some sort of fragrance added to it to mask the smell of the ingredients. It did help my dry cracked skin somewhat, but I will not be replacing my current hand cream with this one.
