General Information

Biore Pack Ultra 6


The only thing worse than your typical blackhead is a stubborn one. Bioré® Ultra deep cleansing pore strips offer maximum pore cleansing power to combat difficult pore-clogging dirt and oil around the nose area. Formulated with tea tree oil, menthol and witch hazel to cool the skin so you feel it working. Custom fit to reach dirt and oil in those hard to reach areas. Helps reduce the appearance of pores with regular use. For best results, do not use more often than once every three days. Dermatologically tested, hypo-allergenic.

Ingredients

Polyquaternium-37, Silica, Aqua, Glycerin, Polysilicone-13, Peg-12 Dimethicone, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol, Methylparaben, Melaleuca Alternifolia, Menthol, Hamamelis Virginiana.

Directions

Remove strip from pouch. Twist strip to loosen and separate slits prior to use. After cleansing your face, thoroughly wet nose. The strip won’t stick if skin is dry. Dry hands. Peel strip off plastic liner. Apply to skin, smooth sides down, pressing down to ensure good contact with skin. Let dry for about 10-15 minutes until stiff to the touch – like papier-mâché. Slowly and carefully peel off starting at edges, pulling toward centre. See the results on the back of the strip!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blackheads Be Gone!! I received a pack of these to trial. At first I was a little hesitant that they could work as well as they claimed.<br />After cleansing, I applied one strip and sat back to let it perform it's magic. After the specified time, I slowly removed the strip to reveal what nasties had been clogging my pores. I will say I was shocked and amazed at what actually did come out.<br />Needles to say they actually did work regardless of my initial reservations. Some tips I will give anyone trying these for the first time would be: Either wash your face with warm water or have a hot shower, as this will open up your pores and make this product work better for you. After a few weeks you will start to see a big difference in the size and texture of your pores, to the point where not a lot of gunk will come out when you apply these strips. Also be aware that less is more. Once a week was plenty for me, as you can do overkill to the point where you can damage your skin. Take heed to the directions and only leave on for the specified time indicated on the pack.<br />The only negative I could find for these strips was the smell, I'm not overly fond of tea tree oil at the best of times, and this was no exception. However after a few weeks or even months, you do get use to the smell where after a while you don't even notice it.<br />Overall this is a great product that will give you results from the very first time you use these. I did take one heart off solely because of the smell. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A part of the blackhead clearing arsenal This product, while it works to an extent, removed only a fraction of blackheads I have sitting on my nose. I find that the strip is more effective at gripping the gunk out of your skin if your pores have been opened by steam, so I use this straight after coming out of a hot shower and drying up.<br />I put this on for 10 minutes or until I feel really tight on my nose and the strip has harden up, before quickly ripping it off my skin. Some of the blackheads till remain on my nose and sometimes I would gently press against my skin to pry them out. Alone, this battler can only help you out so far.<br />When used in conjunction with a glycolic acid cleanser, I find that my blackheads are minimised and pore sizes reduced so this is definitely part of the blackhead fighting armoury one should consider.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Quick Fix! I have been using this twice a year since my skin is quite sensitive. The cut out shapes are a good fit on your nose and easy to place onto. I like the fact that you know when to pull it off by knowing the strip is a bit dry and hard. Once you do pull it off there's a relief that you have 'unplug' your block pores from those nasty blackheads! I find it's very effective because it takes out most of the blackheads especially along the nose and after using it for a while it's not too painful- a bit like getting used to waxing! Also it allows me to apply my moisturiser which is specifically designed to tighten pores for a smooth and sheen texture therefore a few days later I can use my (non-comedogenic) powder foundation ensuring that my pores aren't blocked again! One thing I would like for the strips to be better is allowing the strip to reach on the very side of your nose- this is where I tend to get a few stubborn blackheads. And too much stripping can get your nose sunburnt quite easily even though it's design to be gentle on your skin. So becareful! It's a very good price if you stretch your usage over a few months up to a year. I'll garantee it will do you wonders for your pores.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique I love the idea of these little strips, my nose is the worst area for congestion and blackheads so having these in my stash is always a handy idea. The first use of these showed me just how much gunk had been building up in my pores..gross!! Ever since that first use, there has been less and less to show which must mean some of the congestion is clearing right?<br />These are super easy to use and once it's on you can leave it while you do something else like moisturise your body or shave :) The price is great too and for the relatively smooth finish it leaves I would say it's well worth giving these a try.<br />Con's would be that not every pore is magically cleared in one use of these, it takes lots of patience as you shouldn't use too many in a week as they can be quite drying on all skin types. So gradual consistent use of these (once or twice a week) really gives a great overall result for the price!<br />4 hearts because of it's tendency to dry me out and the fact that it does tend to be uneven in the pores it targets (sometimes one side is cleared more than the other) but having said that I still love these and will always be re-purchasing!

Overall I do think used correctly, these do work really well. Just remember, less is more. Once a week is ample, as anymore and you can do damage to your skin. So always read the instructions and follow what they say, and you can go wrong. :)

I get a little sense of joy when I see those pointy spikes of guck stuck on the white strips. Your nose area feels smooth and clean. I use it every week.

I have not been using these weekly like tey suggest but possibly every month or so. They really do pull out alot of gunk from your pores and it's quiet gross to look at when you pull the strip off. I will be buying another pack tomorrow because they are handy to have when you really need to clean out your pores thoroughly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Biore Ultra Deep Pore Cleansing strips This product is highly recommended, it stung a little as i was removing it, but its so worth it. noticeable difference after removing it, removed about 3/4 of my blackheads. in addition to this, we can also see how well it has worked as the remnants of what was clogging our pores are left on the strip. very effective.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from REALLY GOOD gunk remover! i've used the combo pack, which worked very effectively, so i decided to go a step further and use the ultra strip.<br />the results were even better, the minute i placed the strip on my nose i could feel it working its stuff, and clansing all the yuck stuff.<br />i pulled it off after 15 minutes, and you can see all the little stuff that clogs your pores. intriguing but kind of gross at the same time.<br />overall, really good for clogged up pores on your nose, highly recommended. only suggestion is don't rip it too fast, or else it won't remove the stuff from your pores.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wow It's actually a little disturbing how well these things work - I've always been a little sceptical of 'blackhead-clearing' products, because I've tried so many of them and didn't notice any results with any. But I only recently saw these on the shelves, and I figured they looked the sort of extreme solution I wanted. And they actually do work - sure, you won't suddenly lose every single little blackead on your nose, but you'll be amazed (and somewhat disgusted) to see how much gunk they pull out from your pores. Seriously, these things work. Fully recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but nothing great With a sort of glue like smell (which I didn't find bothering), these stripes are pretty standard product. Having read too often about how 'amazing' they are, my expectations were already bit hyped up but was sadly let down to discover that they are just same as most other nose stripes I have tried so far - removes a bit of dead skin, some blackheads and some tiny surface hair - that is it. Nothing out of the world impressive kind of cleanse like Miniso's bare stripes. Still, since they have priced it also like a regular product, I can't complain much. It's value for money if you like to use nose strips often. For me it's once a month - along with facial kind of thing so I'd rather go for a more powerful one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure it lives up to its claims... I purchased this after discovering these at Priceline after wanting to buy a pack of the original deep pore strips. I love the original pore strips as I found them super effective for removing the gunk in my pores and its always weirdly satisfying to see how much gunk you actually do manage to get out I use these after showering or cleansing my face so that my pore are open and should be the most effective. I dampen my nose with a bit of warm water, wipe my hands dry and remove the the strip from the packet. Remember to twist the strip around so that the slits break open and provide the best fit for your nose. Apply the strip with the smooth side down, ensuring its free from bubbles so that the strip is in complete contact with your skin. It will take at least 10 mins to harden up like paper mache and at this point you will know its ready to remove. I generally remove this by ripping it off quickly. It does hurt a bit but no more painful than removing a bandaid. I love how it leaves my nose super smooth and soft The only thing I would like is if these strips were slightly longer so it covers more of my pores next to my nose It claims on the packet to remove twice as many deep pore clogs. On the first use, I thought this was actually true as I managed to remove quite a lot more gunk though I may have had just a particularly dirty pore clogging week as the second time I tried it, it hardly removed anything so was quite disappointing. Obviously with so many variables its quite difficult to test its claims repeatedly and successfully, so given that these are even more costly than the original pore strips which are by no means inexpensive, I will stick to the original tried and tested.

I use this product every now and again when my nose needs a lit of TLC butI am constantly disappointed by how much it removes. It does flatten and even my skin but it some how makes it produce more oil.

However I could really smell the tea tree oil and there was no stickyness when I pulled the strip off. The same amount of gunk had come out and I didn't feel like it really got to the blackheads on the side of my nose. But I would repurchase again as these strips are quite useful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked well, but not fantastic. I have many blackheads on and around my nose. I used this just as the directions told me, but I don't think it worked that well. Though my pores did look smaller, it only totally removed a few black heads, and I barely saw anything on the strip once I removed it. I'm going to keep using them weekly to see if it gets any better, but overall I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be.
