A captivating, fabulous floral fragrance, with rose the lovely prominent emerging scent. This perfume is wonderfully different to others I have worn. It has this pleasant, sophisticated, mature feel that is one of a kind. You only need one spray of this perfume as it's strong and it has very good longevity so it's definitely a great value buy. I have been complimented on smelling beautiful when wearing this fragrance which makes me feel happy. The perfume bottle is also attractive. The bright blue, black and shiny silver really captures your attention. I recommend it to anyone who wants a mature, unique perfume.\n

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Over the last 15 yrs Rive Gauche has been a classic staple in my perfume repertoire. For me Rive Gauche is a modern, discrete, and understated scent. A natural expression as opposed to some of the pugnant 'in your face' scents around.  Cool name too, Rive Gauche meaning 'left bank of the river', referencing the earlier artistic community of Montparnasse, Paris, included artists and writers such at Hemingway and Scott Fitzgerald. A classic in will always go back to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is my mothers favourite perfume! I always used to borrow it throughout my teenage years. It is such a classic scent. It has a beautiful floral scent with a slight metallic tone to it. The scent is very sophisticated. The packaging is so recognisable and always makes me reminisce about my mothers powder room table with her bottle of Rive Gauche sitting there. Although it would not be my every day scent I do love this as a scent I would wear to a high tea or such event that makes me feel a little old fashioned and feminine. I don't think it would be every ones favourite but I would recommend it to those looking for a more mature, floral scent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This perfume reminds me of my mum as it is one of her favourite fragrances.  It is a classy, sophisticated and mature scent that is timeless and one of a kind.  It is woody but mostly a bouquet of floral scents with rose being the primary one, along with oakmoss, Iris, Geranium and Ylang Ylang.  It is personally not my cup of tea but the scent has certainly grown on me.
